What is XyCraft World?
1 part
XyCraft World is the block and gem half of the XyCraft series, and this pack ships version 0.7.53. Its main job is giving you Xychorium Gems, which the quest book says you obtain by sieving. They come in five colors: Green Xychorium Gem, Red Xychorium Gem, Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem and Light Xychorium Gem.[1][2][3]
The other key item is Kivi. You use it mostly for decorations and machines, and you need it for Machine Frames and the other machines in XyCraft. You can also combine it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter to make decorative blocks.[2]
Where it sits in the quest book
The pack's quest book places XyCraft World in two chapters, and the main one is the XyCraft chapter.[2][3]
- The XyCraft chapter has 26 quests and covers both World and Machines. It opens with "XyCraft" quest, and "Kivi" quest is part of the same opening group.[2]
- The five gem quests (Green, Red, Blue, Dark and Light) each come right after "XyCraft" quest.[2]
- After Kivi comes a quest in "XyCraft", then the machine quests. Several of those also need a gem quest first. For example, "Light Field" quest comes after the Light Xychorium Gems quest and Machine Base.[2]
- In the Building Tips chapter, "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest. It covers the five colors (Green, Red, Blue, Dark and Light) as blocks.[3]
- Also in Building Tips, "XyCraft Lights" quest comes after a quest in "Building Tips". It asks for any of the RGB lamps: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp.[3]
Building Tips has 67 quests, and only 13 of them were available for this overview. The other 54 are in the quest book, so check them in game for more XyCraft World building ideas.[3]
How do you get started with XyCraft World?
4 parts
Welcome to XyCraft World! The pack's quest book has a XyCraft chapter that opens with a short welcome: this mod series is mostly about XyCraft World and Machines, and World is where the Gems come from, which you get by sieving. Here is the order I'd go in.[2]
Get some Kivi
Kivi is your first target. The "Kivi" quest quest says it is used mainly for decorations and machines, and you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. It also goes into a Stonecutter with Xychorium Gems to make decorative blocks.[2]
The pack adds sieve recipes for it. This one uses a Diamond Mesh on gravel:[4]
The pack also adds a Golden Mesh version on gravel.[4]
Later you can automate it. The Extractor machine turns water into Kivi. The a quest in "XyCraft" quest says it grows the block or item beneath it and moves it into an inventory above, and that quest comes after the Kivi quest in the book.[2][4]
Collect Xychorium Gems
The pack adds sieve recipes for gems too. Diamond Mesh on Dust gives Blue Xychorium Gem, and there is a matching recipe for Dark Xychorium Gem.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/dust/xychorium_gem_blue
Once you have a Crusher, it turns Kivi into all five gem colors: blue, dark, green, light and red. Each color has its own quest in the XyCraft chapter, and each one comes after the main XyCraft quest.[2][4]

Aluminum and Machine Frames
Machines need aluminum. The a quest in "XyCraft" quest comes after Kivi and says that reinforcing Kivi with aluminum gives you Machine Frames, which are needed to craft machines.[2]
Aluminum ingots also craft Aluminum Bricks, and you can then craft Aluminum Tiles from those bricks.[4]

Light up your base
For early light, the Aluminum Torch has its own recipe. The RGB lamps come in lantern, flush, cube and pillar shapes, and the "XyCraft Lights" quest quest says their color comes from the dye you craft them with, not from the gem.[3][4]

How does XyCraft World work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
XyCraft World is mostly a building and decoration mod in this pack, so its core mechanics are recipe chains rather than big machines. The sources here don't explain any power, fluid or multiblock rules, so this section sticks to what the recipes show.[5][6]
Making Kivi
Kivi is the resource with the most routes into it. One route is a machine recipe of the type xycraft_machines:extractor, which turns water into Kivi.[6]
There is a second extractor recipe that needs no item input at all. Its id mentions a catalyst and a water block, but the sources don't say what that means in practice.[6]
The pack also adds a sieve recipe for Kivi, so you can get it without the Extractor.[6]
The pack has also changed the cobblestone generator recipe that produces Kivi, and the decompression recipe that gives you 9 Kivi from one compressed Kivi block.[6]
Blue Xychorium gems and ore
Blue Xychorium Gem has several pack-specific routes. The pack changed the Mekanism enriching recipe so a Blue Xychorium ore gives 10 gems, and it added a sieve recipe for the gem too.[6]

Stonecutting and block variants
The stonecutter handles a lot of this mod's blocks. The recipe dump counts 76 stonecutting recipes that make XyCraft World blocks, and 76 of their ingredients are blocks from this mod. Aluminum Bricks is a good example: you can craft it, and you can also stonecut it.[6]

Glass viewers and lamps
Glass viewers upgrade in steps. A Reinforced Glass Viewer is the base for an Immortal Glass Viewer. Adding a glow ink sac to cheap glass gives 8 Glowing Glass Viewer, and chorus fruit does the same for Phantom Glass Viewer.[6]

Lamps flip between two states by crafting. A single Inverted RGB Lamp becomes an RGB Lamp.[6]
Aurey blocks can also be made to glow by crafting. A glow ink sac and a Matte Aurey Block give a Glowing Matte Aurey Block.[6]

How do you progress through XyCraft World?
4 parts
In this pack the quest book gives XyCraft its own chapter with 26 quests. It opens with "XyCraft" quest, which tells you that XyCraft World gives you the gems and that you get them by sieving. From there the path splits into gems, Kivi, machines and, over in the Building Tips chapter, decoration.[2]
"Kivi" quest has no prerequisite listed in the chapter. The five gem quests come right after the opening quest: "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest, "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest, "Red Xychorium Gems" quest, "Green Xychorium Gems" quest and "Light Xychorium Gems" quest.[2]
Step 1: sieve for gems and Kivi
The pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes for this mod. A Diamond Mesh on Dust gives Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem or Green Xychorium Gem. The recipe dump counts 20 sieve recipes that make 5 different results from this mod.[4]
Sieve (exdeorum)
Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/diamond_mesh/dust/xychorium_gem_blue
The blue gem is shown here. The dark and green sieve recipes use the same Diamond Mesh and Dust.
Kivi is the base material. The quest says it is used mainly for decorations and machines, and that you need it for Machine Frames. The pack adds sieve recipes that give it from gravel with either a Diamond Mesh or a Golden Mesh.[2][4]
Gravel through a Golden Mesh gives Kivi.
There are other routes too. The Extractor has recipes that turn water into Kivi, and the pack changes a Cobble Gen Galore block generator recipe that makes Kivi. Once you have Kivi, a Crusher recipe takes it and gives all five gems: blue, dark, green, light and red.[4]
Step 2: ores and aluminum
The pack changes the Actually Additions mining lens recipes that produce Blue Xychorium Ore, Dark Xychorium Ore and Green Xychorium Ore. It also changes the Mekanism enriching recipes, where a Xychorium ore plus a matching color gives 10 gems. The blue and dark versions are listed.[4]
Aluminum matters a lot from here on. The Machine Base quest says you reinforce Kivi with aluminum to get Machine Frames, and many recipes below use aluminum ingots. If you go the Mekanism route, the pack changes the dissolution recipes: an aluminum ore gives 1,000 dirty slurry and a raw aluminum block gives 6,000. Washing the slurry uses 5 water.[2][4]
Step 3: machines, gated by gem color
- a quest in "XyCraft" comes after Kivi, and the Machine Frames it covers are needed to craft machines.[2]
- Also after Kivi: "Fluid Storage and Manipulation" quest, "Item Storage and Manipulation" quest and a quest in "XyCraft".[2]
- The tank line continues with "Pipes" quest, "Valves" quest and "Item IOs" quest, and ends at "The Tank" quest.[2]
- The storage line continues with a quest in "XyCraft", a quest in "XyCraft", a quest in "XyCraft" and a quest in "XyCraft".[2]
- Five machines each need a gem quest plus Machine Base: "Water Block" quest (blue), "Fluid Void" quest (dark), "Ignition Plate" quest (red), "Accelerated Planter" quest (green) and "Light Field" quest (light).[2]
Step 4: building and decoration
The Building Tips chapter has the decorative side. "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest and is about the 5 colors. "XyCraft Glass" quest comes after a quest in "Building Tips". "XyCraft Lights" quest comes after a quest in "Building Tips".[3]
Aluminum Tiles are made from Aluminum Bricks, so the Bricks recipe is the starting point.[4]
Crafting Shaped
4 × any aluminum ingot
Recipe id: xycraft:shaped/aluminum_bricks
The colored brick variants such as Blue Aluminum Bricks need a Xychorium gem, aluminum and a matching color. Gem storage blocks like Blue Xychorium Gem Storage unpack back into 9 gems. The Kivi quest also says Kivi and gems go in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks.[2][4]
Glass Viewers come in several variants. Stonecutter recipes make versions like Dark Glass Viewer and Dire Glass Viewer. A glow ink sac makes the Glowing viewer, and the Immortal viewer is made from the Reinforced one.[4]

For lighting, the RGB lamps take their color from the Dye you make them with, not from the gem.[3]
How does XyCraft World work with other mods?
5 parts
XyCraft World connects to several other mods in this pack. Its gems and Kivi show up in Ex Deorum sieve recipes, its storage blocks and Kivi have All the Compressed versions, and its aluminum slurry plugs into Mekanism. Here is where those links show up in the recipes and quests.[4]
Getting gems and Kivi from the Ex Deorum sieve
The pack adds Ex Deorum sieve recipes for XyCraft materials. Each Xychorium gem (Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Red Xychorium Gem) comes from sifting Dust with a flint, iron, diamond or netherite mesh. Kivi comes from sifting Gravel with an iron, golden, diamond or netherite mesh.[4]

Recipe id: allthemods:exdeorum/flint_mesh/dust/xychorium_gem_blue
One of the pack's gem sieve recipes. The other colors follow the same pattern.
One of the pack's Kivi sieve recipes.
The quest book covers the same materials. The Kivi quest ("Kivi" quest) explains that you need Kivi for Machine Frames and other machines in XyCraft. Each gem color has its own quest in the XyCraft chapter: "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest, "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest, "Red Xychorium Gems" quest, "Green Xychorium Gems" quest and "Light Xychorium Gems" quest.[2]
Decorative blocks from vanilla stone
Xychorium gems also combine with vanilla blocks to make colored decorations. Plain bricks and the chiseled variants (stone bricks, deepslate, nether bricks, polished blackstone, sandstone, red sandstone, tuff and tuff bricks) each have blue, dark, green, light and red versions. They use the xycraft_override namespace, and the recipe dump lists them as shaped crafting recipes.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/bricks_blue
The colored bricks follow this pattern.
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: xycraft_override:shaped/chiseled_deepslate_red
The chiseled variants follow the same pattern.
The Kivi quest text describes these decorative blocks as made with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter, while the recipe dump lists shaped crafting recipes.[2][4]
Compressing with All the Compressed
The pack changes the compression recipes for XyCraft's materials. Kivi compresses into Kivi 1x, and each Xychorium gem storage block compresses into its 1x version, for example Blue Xychorium Gem Storage 1x and Red Xychorium Gem Storage 1x. A shapeless decompress recipe turns each one back.[4]
Aluminum processing with Mekanism
XyCraft's machine recipes include a Mekanism link for aluminum, and the pack changes these recipes. In a dissolution recipe, Liquid Sulfuric Acid turns aluminum ore, raw aluminum or raw aluminum blocks into XyCraft's dirty aluminum slurry. A crystallizing recipe then turns XyCraft's clean aluminum slurry into an Aluminum Crystal.[4]

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use XyCraft World?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 guide
This mod shows up in two quest chapters in this pack: the XyCraft chapter, where it is the starting point, and the Building Tips chapter, where it is one of the decoration options.[7][8]
The XyCraft chapter
The chapter opens with "XyCraft" quest. It explains that the XyCraft mods are mostly about World and Machines, and that World gives you the gems, which can be obtained by sieving.[7]
"Kivi" quest asks you for Kivi. The quest says Kivi is mainly for decorations and machines, and that you need it for Machine Frames and other XyCraft machines. You can also use it with Xychorium Gems in a Stonecutter for decorative blocks.[7]
Five gem quests come right after the intro quest. Each one asks you to hand in one gem:[7]
- "Red Xychorium Gems" quest: Red Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Green Xychorium Gems" quest: Green Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Blue Xychorium Gems" quest: Blue Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Dark Xychorium Gems" quest: Dark Xychorium Gem[7]
- "Light Xychorium Gems" quest: Light Xychorium Gem[7]
These gems unlock the next machine quests. Each of the quests below needs its gem quest plus the Machine Base quest, which itself comes after the Kivi quest:[7]
- "Ignition Plate" quest needs the red gem quest.[7]
- "Accelerated Planter" quest needs the green gem quest.[7]
- "Water Block" quest needs the blue gem quest.[7]
- "Fluid Void" quest needs the dark gem quest.[7]
- "Light Field" quest needs the light gem quest.[7]
The Machine Base quest is a quest in "XyCraft". It says you reinforce the Kivi with Aluminum to get Machine Frames, which are needed to craft machines.[7]
The Building Tips chapter
Building Tips has three XyCraft World quests. "XyCraft World" quest comes after "Colored Blocks" quest. It says XyCraft is all about 5 colors, and that this includes blocks in Green, Red, Blue, Dark and Light.[8]
"XyCraft Glass" quest comes after the vanilla glass quest a quest in "Building Tips". It points out that XyCraft adds plenty of glasses, from ones you can walk through to glowing and stronger ones.[8]
"XyCraft Lights" quest comes after the lighting quest a quest in "Building Tips". It asks for one of the four RGB lamps: RGB Lantern Lamp, RGB Flush Lamp, RGB Cube Lamp or RGB Pillar Lamp.[8]
