What is EnderIO Custom Capacitors?

1 part

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

EnderIO Custom Capacitors adds capacitor tiers that go beyond Octadic. Each capacitor has a level value, and a higher level means faster machines and more energy storage. This pack includes version 1.0.0 of the mod.[1][2]

In the mod's own guide, the level is a power multiplier where 1 is Basic, 2 is Double Layer and 3 is Octadic. New tiers can be added by editing the TOML config file or with KubeJS startup scripts. The config route lets you tint the base texture with a colour, while KubeJS lets you use completely custom textures.[2][3][4]

Where it sits in the quest book

The mod has no chapter of its own. The quest book asks you to collect its capacitors inside the EnderIO chapter, which is in the Production group.[5]

The capacitor line is one chain of quests. The book first asks for the Basic Capacitor in a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", then the Double Layer Capacitor in a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", then the Octadic Capacitor in a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}". After the Octadic quest, the chain moves on to this mod's items.[5]

  1. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" comes right after the Octadic quest and asks you to obtain Ender Capacitor.[5]
  2. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" follows it and asks you to obtain Cobalt Capacitor.[5]
  3. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" comes next and asks you to obtain Precision Capacitor.[5]
  4. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" follows and asks you to obtain Fast Capacitor.[5]
  5. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" is the last quest of the line and asks you to obtain Ultimate Capacitor.[5]

How do you get started with EnderIO Custom Capacitors?

6 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

This mod adds capacitor tiers that go beyond Octadic. Each capacitor has a level, and a higher level means faster machines and more energy storage. In this pack you unlock them through the EnderIO quest chapter, which sits in the Production group (chapter 39 of 44 in the book).[2][5]

Start with the EnderIO capacitors

Before any custom tier, finish the vanilla EnderIO line in the quest book: a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", then a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", then a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}". The mod's own guide counts these as levels 1, 2 and 3, so the custom tiers pick up from there.[3][5]

Step 1: Ender Capacitor

The quest book puts Ender Capacitor right after the Octadic Capacitor quest. The pack's config sets it to level 4, so it is the first real step up. The recipe was added by the pack.[5][6][7]

Step 2: Cobalt Capacitor

Next in the chain is Cobalt Capacitor, set to level 6 in the pack's config. Its quest comes after the Ender Capacitor quest.[5][7]

Step 3: Precision Capacitor

Precision Capacitor follows the Cobalt quest and sits at level 7.25 in the config.[5][7]

Step 4: Fast Capacitor

Fast Capacitor comes after the Precision quest. The config sets it to level 10.5, and it is the only one of the four configured capacitors with the enchant glow turned on.[5][7]

Step 5: Ultimate Capacitor

The last quest in the line is a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", which asks for Ultimate Capacitor after the Fast Capacitor quest. The pack's config does not define this one: it has its own recipe added by the pack, so its level is not shown in the config.[5][6][7]

Tip: Work through the tiers in quest order. The pack's recipes chain from one capacitor to the next, so you cannot skip ahead.[5][6]
Watch out: The levels above are the pack's values from its config, not the mod's defaults. If you edit the capacitor entries, you need to restart the game for changes to apply.[2][7]

Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use EnderIO Custom Capacitors?

2 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

All the quests for this mod sit in one chapter: "EnderIO", in the "Production" group. It is chapter 39 of 44 in the quest book and holds 78 quests. Most of them are about EnderIO itself (conduits, filters, machines), and the capacitors from this mod are one line running through the middle of it.[5]

The capacitor line

Each quest in this line asks you to obtain one capacitor item. It starts with EnderIO's own capacitors, so the first quests aren't from this mod. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" comes first, then a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", then a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}". That last one is where the custom capacitors take over.[5]

  1. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" asks for the Ender Capacitor. It comes right after the Octadic Capacitor quest.[5]
  2. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" asks for the Cobalt Capacitor, after the Ender Capacitor quest.[5]
  3. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" asks for the Precision Capacitor, after the Cobalt Capacitor quest.[5]
  4. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" asks for the Fast Capacitor, after the Precision Capacitor quest.[5]
  5. a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" asks for the Ultimate Capacitor, after the Fast Capacitor quest. It is the last capacitor quest in the line.[5]

So the order is strictly linear: Basic, Double Layer, Octadic, then Ender, Cobalt, Precision, Fast and Ultimate. You can't skip ahead in the book, but the quests only ask you to have the item, so work through them one at a time as you unlock each capacitor.[5]

The capacitor line has company in the same chapter. The capacitor bank quests (a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}", a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" and a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}") are separate quests that aren't chained to the capacitor line. The energy conduit line is also a separate chain, running from a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" up through a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" and on to a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}" and a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.enderio.title}".[5]
