What is More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) is an addon for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, so your Industrial Foregoing machines can be upgraded further than the base mod allows. It also adds detailed tooltips.[1]

This pack ships version 2.1.0 of the mod. It has been in the pack since version 1.4 or earlier.[2]

The mod is released under the MIT License.[1]

How do you get started with More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

MIFA is a small addon for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, plus more detailed tooltips. Getting started means working up the addon ladder in the right order.[1]

Every MIFA item in this pack is made in the Industrial Foregoing dissolution chamber, and the pack has changed these recipes. Don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Check the recipe blocks below, which show the exact in-pack versions.[3]

The order to work in

Each tier 3 addon is built from the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon, so you need that base addon first. Each tier 4 addon is built from the tier 3 addon of the same type. That means you always make tier 3 before tier 4, and you can't skip a step.[3]

  1. Get the Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon of the type you want: efficiency, processing or speed.[3]
  2. Craft the tier 3 addon of that type in the dissolution chamber.[3]
  3. Use that tier 3 addon to craft the tier 4 version in the dissolution chamber.[3]

Efficiency addons

Start with Efficiency Addon 3, then upgrade it to Efficiency Addon 4.[3]

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work?

5 parts

More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) is a small add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons, plus more detailed tooltips.[1]

The mod's mechanics come down to getting the new addon tiers made and installed. This section covers how you craft them in this pack.[1][4]

Where the new addons are made

Every MIFA addon in this pack is made in the Industrial Foregoing Dissolution Chamber. The pack changes all of these recipes, so use the ones shown below and not what you may remember from the mod's defaults.[4]

The Dissolution Chamber takes fluid as well as items, so plan your fluid supply before you start. The tier 3 recipes use Pink Slime, and the tier 4 recipes use experience fluid.[4]

The addon upgrade path

Each addon type (efficiency, processing and speed) has a tier 3 and a tier 4 version. Tier 3 is built from the tier 2 addon of the same type from Industrial Foregoing. Tier 4 is built from the matching MIFA tier 3 addon, so you climb a tier at a time.[1][4]

Gives you Speed Addon 4, which is built from the tier 3 addon.

Tip: Each tier 4 recipe needs the matching tier 3 addon as an input, so craft in tier order. Every one of these is a Dissolution Chamber craft, so you can keep all your addon crafting at the same machine.[4]

Unverified The sources here do not show how strong each new addon tier is, for example the exact efficiency, processing or speed bonus, and they include no config files for this mod. The mod adds detailed tooltips, so check the addon tooltips in game.

How do you progress through More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

4 parts

In this pack, More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) adds tiers 3 and 4 for the efficiency, processing and speed addons. The ladder is simple. You take the tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing and turn it into tier 3, then turn tier 3 into tier 4.[4]

Every one of these upgrades is crafted in the Dissolution Chamber from Industrial Foregoing, and the pack has changed all of these recipes. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions, so check those rather than any recipe you remember from another pack.[4]

How the ladder works

  1. Tier 3: each tier 3 addon uses the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon as its base, for example Speed Addon Tier 2 for the speed line.[4]
  2. Tier 4: each tier 4 addon uses the tier 3 addon of the same type as its base, so you must finish tier 3 first and cannot skip it.[4]
Tip: The tier 2 addon you start from decides which line (efficiency, processing or speed) you end up on, so craft the right one before you start collecting materials.[4]

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work with other mods?

1 part

MIFA is an add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tier efficiency, processing and speed addons, so every tier 3 addon you craft builds directly on Industrial Foregoing's own tier 2 addons.[1][4]

Tier 3 addons come from the Dissolution Chamber

All three MIFA addons are made in the Dissolution Chamber from Industrial Foregoing. Each recipe takes the matching tier 2 addon from that mod, plus 3,000 mB of Pink Slime and Netherite Scrap. The pack has changed all three recipes, so use the ones below rather than what you may remember from the mod.[4]

Efficiency Addon 3Changed by the pack

Dissolution Chamber (industrialforegoing)

Recipe id: industrialforegoing:dissolution_chamber/efficiency_addon_3

The pack changed this Dissolution Chamber recipe.

Processing Addon 3Changed by the pack

The pack changed this Dissolution Chamber recipe.

Speed Addon 3Changed by the pack

Dissolution Chamber (industrialforegoing)

Recipe id: industrialforegoing:dissolution_chamber/speed_addon_3

The pack changed this one too. It is the only tier 3 addon that also uses Sugar.

Tip: Each tier 3 addon needs 3,000 mB of Pink Slime, so set up your Pink Slime supply before you start crafting them.[4]

What changed in More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) between versions?

2 parts

All the Mods 10 8.3 ships More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) 2.1.0, the latest version in the changelogs here. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 1.4 or earlier.[2]

In the pack

  • All the Mods 10 2.36 moved the mod from 1.1.1 to 2.0.0. This is the big balancing update described below.[5][6]
  • All the Mods 10 2.40 moved it from 2.0.0 to 2.1.0.[7]

Mod releases

  • 2.1.0: the minimum required Industrial Foregoing version is now 1.21-3.6.24. Tier 4 addons now use the fluid tag c:experienc instead of the Industrial Foregoing essence fluid. The release also fixes an issue tracked as number 5 on the mod's issue tracker.[8]
  • 2.0.0: a balancing update. It reworked the recipes for tier 3 and 4 addons and added 4 new tiers to the efficiency, processing and speed addons.[6]
  • 1.1.1: housekeeping only. The README and mods.toml were updated and a typo in the display and issue tracker URLs was fixed.[9]
  • 1.1.0: fixed the Netherite gear tags issue by adding c:gears/iron, gold, diamond and netherite to the c:gears tag. The release also removed the .cache folder from the jar and dropped deprecated translations.[10]
  • 1.0.0: the port to 1.21.x.[11]
Tip: If you built around tier 3 or tier 4 addons before All the Mods 10 2.36, check their recipes again. Version 2.0.0 reworked them, and 2.1.0 changed which fluid the tier 4 addons use.[5][6][8]
