What is More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

2 parts

More Industrial Foregoing Addons, or MIFA for short, is an add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It gives you extra efficiency, processing and speed addons, and the page describes them as higher tiers than the ones you already have. It also adds detailed tooltips, so you can see more about what an addon does.[1]

Who it's for

If you're already building Industrial Foregoing machines and want to push them further, this is the mod for you. It doesn't add a new machine line of its own. It's about upgrading the setups you already run.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships MIFA 2.1.0, and the mod has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier. Because it's an Industrial Foregoing add-on, you'll want that mod up and running before the extra addon tiers are useful.[1][2]

Unverified The sources I have don't show this mod on the ATM Star path or in any of the pack's quests, and there's no in-jar guidebook to check. Exact addon tiers, recipes and numbers are also unconfirmed, so check them in-game with the new tooltips.

How do you get started with More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

4 parts

MIFA is a small addon for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, plus more detailed tooltips. Getting started means working up the addon ladder in the right order.[1]

Every MIFA item in this pack is made in the Industrial Foregoing dissolution chamber, and the pack has changed these recipes. Don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Check the recipe blocks below, which show the exact in-pack versions.[3]

The order to work in

Each tier 3 addon is built from the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon, so you need that base addon first. Each tier 4 addon is built from the tier 3 addon of the same type. That means you always make tier 3 before tier 4, and you can't skip a step.[3]

  1. Get the Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon of the type you want: efficiency, processing or speed.[3]
  2. Craft the tier 3 addon of that type in the dissolution chamber.[3]
  3. Use that tier 3 addon to craft the tier 4 version in the dissolution chamber.[3]

Efficiency addons

Start with Efficiency Addon 3, then upgrade it to Efficiency Addon 4.[3]

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work?

5 parts

This mod is small and focused. It extends Industrial Foregoing with higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, and it adds detailed tooltips. So this section is about getting the extra addon tiers and how they chain together.[1]

The addon lines

Each addon line gets a tier 3 and a tier 4 version: Efficiency Addon 3 and Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 3 and Processing Addon 4, and Speed Addon 3 and Speed Addon 4. They continue the addon lines that Industrial Foregoing already has.[1][3]

How you craft them

In this pack, every one of these addons is made in the Industrial Foregoing Dissolution Chamber. The pack has changed these recipes, so don't rely on the mod's defaults.[3]

Each tier 3 addon is made from the matching tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing, and each tier 4 addon is made from the tier 3 addon of the same line. You have to work up the chain one tier at a time.[3]

Unverified The exact effect of each tier, such as the speed, processing and efficiency multipliers, the power use and the addon slot limits on machines, is not shown in the sources here. The mod's tooltip text and config files are not available to this guide, so check the in-game tooltips, which the mod adds.

How do you progress through More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

3 parts

In this pack, MIFA adds higher-tier upgrades for Industrial Foregoing machines. The recipes in the sources show Efficiency, Processing and Speed addon lines, each with a tier 3 and a tier 4 version.[3]

How the tiers chain together

Every MIFA addon in the sources is made in the Industrial Foregoing Dissolution Chamber, and the pack changed all of these recipes. Don't rely on the mod's default recipes or on recipes from other guides.[3]

Each line is a strict ladder. The tier 3 addon is made from the matching tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing, and the tier 4 addon is made from the tier 3 one. You can't skip a step, so build the tiers in order.[3]

Tier 3 addons

Tier 3 is the first MIFA step. Each of these takes the tier 2 addon of its line as the base item.[3]

Tier 4 addons

Tier 4 is the top of the ladder in these sources. Each tier 4 recipe takes the tier 3 addon of the same line as its base item.[3]

Tip: Each tier 4 recipe consumes the tier 3 addon of the same line, so don't use up your tier 3 addons elsewhere if you plan to upgrade.[3]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve this mod, so the quest book gives no guided path for these addons. The recipe chain above is the progression the sources here confirm.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work with other mods?

2 parts

MIFA is built around Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons for that mod, plus detailed tooltips. The connection shows up in the pack's recipes, where all three new addons are crafted in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber.[1][3]

Upgrading from Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addons

Each MIFA tier 3 addon builds on the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon: Efficiency Addon Tier 2, Processing Addon Tier 2 and Speed Addon Tier 2. So you finish the Industrial Foregoing addon line first, then step up to Efficiency Addon 3, Processing Addon 3 and Speed Addon 3.[3]

The pack has changed all three of these Dissolution Chamber recipes, so don't assume they match the mod's defaults. Each one also uses Pink Slime and Netherite Scrap. The exact in-pack recipes are below.[3]

Items from other mods

These recipes also use common item tags for netherite gears, colorless glass panes and netherite scrap ores. The efficiency recipe also takes a blaze rod tag, and the processing recipe takes crafting table and furnace workstation tags. A tag slot accepts any item that carries that tag.[3]

Tip: Because several slots accept tags rather than one specific item, check the recipe viewer before you hunt for a particular mod's gear or glass pane.[3]

Unverified No quests in the pack involve this mod, and no in-jar guidebook was found, so the sources here do not show any other cross-mod links.

What changed in More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) between versions?

Here's how More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) has moved through the pack's releases. The sources only cover which version the pack shipped at each point, not what changed inside the mod, so this is a short rundown.[2][4][5]

  • The mod was already in the pack by All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
  • All the Mods 10 2.36 updated it from 1.1.1 to 2.0.0.[5]
  • All the Mods 10 2.40 updated it from 2.0.0 to 2.1.0.[4]
  • All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 2.1.0 (file mifa-neoforge-1.21.x-2.1.0.jar).[2]

Unverified What actually changed in the mod between 1.1.1, 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 (new machines, recipe changes, fixes) is unverified, because no changelogs for the shipped jars are stored. Check the mod's own release notes before assuming anything about those updates.
