What is More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

1 part

More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) is an add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It gives you higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, plus detailed tooltips.[1]

If you already run Industrial Foregoing machines, this mod is for you. It adds more upgrade options for those machines, and the extra tooltips make it easier to see what each addon does before you install it.[1]

The pack ships version 2.1.0 of the NeoForge build. The mod is MIT licensed.[1][2]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests that involve this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. I also found no in-jar guidebook. Treat it as an optional upgrade layer for Industrial Foregoing setups rather than a required step. Exact addon recipes and tier values are not confirmed here.

How do you get started with More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

2 parts

More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons to Industrial Foregoing, along with detailed tooltips. In this pack, getting started means working up to those addons. The mod adds tier 3 and tier 4 versions of each of the three addon types.[1][3]

First, make the tier 3 addons

Every MIFA addon in this pack is made in the Industrial Foregoing dissolution chamber. Each tier 3 addon is an upgrade of the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon, so you need to have that tier 2 addon first. The recipes also call for Pink Slime and netherite-related materials, so expect to be well into the game before you reach this point.[3]

Here are the three tier 3 recipes as they are in the pack. Start with Efficiency Addon 3, Processing Addon 3 or Speed Addon 3, depending on which machine you want to improve.[3]

Then upgrade to tier 4

Tier 4 comes second because each tier 4 recipe takes the matching tier 3 addon as an input. That gives you Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 4 and Speed Addon 4. The in-pack recipes are below.[3]

  • Processing Addon 3
  • Echo Shard
  • Sculk
  • 4000× any experience

  • any furnace player workstations

Tip: Plan ahead: each addon type has its own path, and each tier 4 recipe uses the tier 3 version of the same addon. Do not spend your tier 3 addons elsewhere if you want to upgrade them.[3]

Unverified The exact bonuses each tier gives, and which addon type is best to build first, could not be confirmed from the available sources. No quests in this pack involve this mod, so nothing guides you through these steps in-game.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work?

5 parts

MIFA doesn't add a new machine or multiblock. It extends the upgrade system of Industrial Foregoing with higher tiers of three addon types: efficiency, processing and speed. It also adds detailed tooltips to them.[1]

In this pack, the new tiers are tier 3 and tier 4 of each addon type: Efficiency Addon 3 and Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 3 and Processing Addon 4, and Speed Addon 3 and Speed Addon 4.[3]

How you get the addons

Every MIFA addon in the pack is made in the Dissolution Chamber from Industrial Foregoing. The upgrade path is a chain. Each tier 3 addon is built from the matching tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing, and each tier 4 addon is built from the tier 3 addon of the same type. You can't skip tiers.[3]

Tip: Make the tier 3 addon of a type before you plan for its tier 4. The tier 4 recipe consumes the tier 3 addon, so you'll want to build them in order.[3]

What the sources don't tell us

Unverified The exact effect of each new tier (how much extra speed, processing or efficiency it gives, and how it changes power or fluid use) isn't confirmed by the sources for this pack. The mod's own tooltips show the real values, so check them in-game. Whether the pack changed any values is unverified, and no config files for this mod are available.

How do you progress through More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

5 parts

The pack's recipe data shows MIFA adding a tier 3 and a tier 4 version of three upgrade lines: efficiency, processing and speed. You build them in the Dissolution Chamber, so this part of the mod is a straight upgrade ladder with no side branches.[3]

The upgrade ladder

Each tier 3 addon is made from the matching tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing, so you keep upgrading the same line. Each tier 4 addon is then made from the tier 3 addon of the same line. You can't skip a step.[3]

The dump only lists recipes for tiers 3 and 4. Anything below tier 2 comes from Industrial Foregoing itself, so check that mod's own recipes for it.[3]

What changes between tier 3 and tier 4

The tier 3 recipes bring in Pink Slime and netherite-related materials, so you need to reach the Nether-material stage first. The tier 4 recipes bring in echo shards and sculk, so you also need to have explored the Deep Dark. Tier 4 also needs an experience ingredient.[3]

Tip: Each tier 4 recipe consumes the tier 3 addon, so plan to make the tier 3 version first and don't use it elsewhere if you want the tier 4 upgrade.[3]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve MIFA, and the mod isn't on the ATM Star quest path. The tiers above are a recipe-based path, not a quest-guided one. The sources also don't say what each tier changes in numbers, such as speed or energy values, so check that in-game.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work with other mods?

1 part

MIFA is an add-on for Industrial Foregoing, and that is where its connection in this pack shows up. The mod adds higher-tier efficiency, processing and speed addons, and all three are crafted in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber.[1][3]

Tier 3 addons from Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber

Each MIFA addon is the next step up from the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon: Efficiency Addon Tier 2, Processing Addon Tier 2 and Speed Addon Tier 2. The upgrade also uses Pink Slime and Netherite Scrap, so you'll want Industrial Foregoing's slime production and some netherite scrap ready before you start.[3]

The efficiency upgrade gives you Efficiency Addon 3. Here is the in-pack recipe:[3]

Dissolution Chamber (industrialforegoing)

The processing upgrade gives you Processing Addon 3. Besides the shared materials, it also asks for a crafting table and a furnace, each of which can be any item from the matching workstation tag.[3]

The speed upgrade gives you Speed Addon 3. It is the only one of the three that needs Sugar.[3]

Tip: Several slots in these recipes accept any item from a shared tag, such as netherite gears, colorless glass panes and netherite scrap ores. Whichever item from the tag your pack provides will work, and the recipe viewer shows the exact options.[3]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve MIFA, and no other cross-mod recipes beyond these three Dissolution Chamber recipes were found in the sources.

What changed in More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) between versions?

Here's how More Industrial Foregoing Addons has moved through the pack's releases. All the Mods 10 4.5 ships version 2.1.0 of the mod.[2]

  • All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier: the mod was first included in the pack by this point. The exact release that added it isn't recorded in the sources I have.[2]
  • All the Mods 10 2.36: updated from 1.1.1 to 2.0.0, a major version jump.[4]
  • All the Mods 10 2.40: updated from 2.0.0 to 2.1.0, the version still in the pack at 4.5.[2][5]

Unverified The sources only record which versions the pack moved between, not what changed inside the mod. Any new machines, recipes or fixes in 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 are unconfirmed, because there are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars.
