What is More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) is a small add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, so you can push your Industrial Foregoing machines further than the base mod's addons allow.[1]

It also adds detailed tooltips to these addons, so you can see what an addon does without guessing.[1]

If you run an Industrial Foregoing setup and want to squeeze more out of it, this mod is for you. The pack includes MIFA version 1.1.1.[1][2]

Unverified The exact number of new addon tiers, their stat boosts, and where each tier fits in the pack's progression could not be confirmed from the available sources. Check the in-game tooltips and recipe viewer for the details in your version. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

2 parts

This mod is a small, focused add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons you already know from Industrial Foregoing, along with detailed tooltips. There are no new machines to learn, just stronger upgrades for the ones you already have.[1]

In this pack, all six of the mod's addons are made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber, not at a crafting table. Get your Dissolution Chamber running before you start working towards these upgrades.[3]

Step one: the tier 3 addons

Tier 3 is your entry point. Each tier 3 addon upgrades the matching tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing: Efficiency Addon Tier 2 becomes Efficiency Addon 3, Processing Addon Tier 2 becomes Processing Addon 3, and Speed Addon Tier 2 becomes Speed Addon 3. Make sure you have the tier 2 version of the addon you want before you plan anything else.[3]

Step two: the tier 4 addons

Once you have a tier 3 addon, you can push it one step further. Each tier 4 addon is built from its tier 3 version: Efficiency Addon 3 leads to Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 3 leads to Processing Addon 4, and Speed Addon 3 leads to Speed Addon 4. You can't skip straight to tier 4, so build the tier 3 addon first.[3]

Tip: Each tier 4 addon uses up its tier 3 addon when you craft it. If you want a tier 3 addon in one machine and a tier 4 addon in another, craft an extra tier 3 addon first.[3]

Not sure what an addon does in a given machine? Hover over it. The mod adds detailed tooltips, so check them in-game.[1]

Unverified The sources don't give the exact stat boosts for each tier, and they don't say which addon type to make first. Choose based on what your machines need, and check the in-game tooltips for the numbers.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work?

2 parts

This mod doesn't add machines, multiblocks or its own power, fluid or item handling. It extends Industrial Foregoing with higher tiers of its three machine addons: efficiency, processing and speed. It also adds detailed tooltips. If you already use Industrial Foregoing addons in your machines, this mod gives you more upgrade steps for the same three lines.[1]

The addon tiers

In this pack, the mod adds two new tiers, 3 and 4, for each addon line. Tier 3 continues on from Industrial Foregoing's own tier 2 addons, and tier 4 continues on from the mod's tier 3 addons, so you climb each line one step at a time.[3]

Crafting them in the Dissolution Chamber

You can't make these addons on a crafting table. Every one of them is made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber, which takes both items and a fluid. The tier 3 and tier 4 recipes use different fluids, so you'll need a separate fluid supply for each tier. The pack uses the mod's own recipes for all six addons without changing them. Check the recipes below to see exactly what you need to set up before you start.[3]

Tip: Each tier needs the addon from the tier below it as an input, so don't put every tier 2 addon you have into your machines. Save some so you can craft the higher tiers.[3]

The mod also adds detailed tooltips to the addons. Hover over one in game to see what it does.[1]

Unverified The available sources don't say what each tier does to a machine: how much faster, more efficient or higher-output it gets. They also don't say which Industrial Foregoing machines accept the new tiers, or whether several addons stack. Check the in-game tooltips for the exact values.

How do you progress through More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

3 parts

MIFA adds higher tiers of the three Industrial Foregoing machine addons: speed, efficiency and processing. In this pack each line has a tier 3 and a tier 4 version, and all six are made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber, not a crafting table.[3]

There's no shortcut into these tiers. Each one is an upgrade of the tier just below it, so you work up each line one step at a time.[3]

The upgrade path

  1. Start with the tier 2 addon from Industrial Foregoing itself: Speed Addon Tier 2, Efficiency Addon Tier 2 or Processing Addon Tier 2.[3]
  2. Put that tier 2 addon through the Dissolution Chamber to get the matching MIFA tier 3 addon: Speed Addon 3, Efficiency Addon 3 or Processing Addon 3.[3]
  3. Run the tier 3 addon through the Dissolution Chamber again to get the matching tier 4 addon: Speed Addon 4, Efficiency Addon 4 or Processing Addon 4.[3]

Tier 3

Each tier 3 recipe takes the Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon of the same type, so bring one of those to the Dissolution Chamber. The three tier 3 recipes share several ingredients, and each line also has a few ingredients of its own, which makes it worth comparing them before you gather materials.[3]

Tier 4

Tier 4 works the same way, but the base item is now the MIFA tier 3 addon of the same type. The tier 4 recipes also use a different fluid from tier 3, so check the recipe below before you set up your Dissolution Chamber.[3]

Tip: Each tier 4 recipe uses up a tier 3 addon, and each tier 3 recipe uses up an Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon. If you want a tier 3 addon in one machine and a tier 4 addon in another, craft an extra of each lower tier first.[3]

Unverified The exact bonus each tier 3 and tier 4 addon gives (for example how much faster or more efficient a machine gets) is not confirmed for this pack, so check the in-game tooltips.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work with other mods?

3 parts

This mod is an add-on for Industrial Foregoing, so almost everything it does is tied to that mod. It adds higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons you already know from Industrial Foregoing, along with more detailed tooltips.[1]

In this pack, every recipe for the new addons runs through Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber. You won't find these on a normal crafting grid, so get a Dissolution Chamber running before you plan any upgrades.[3]

Building on Industrial Foregoing's addons

The new addons form an upgrade chain that starts with Industrial Foregoing's tier 2 addons. Each tier 3 addon from this mod uses the matching tier 2 addon as an ingredient, and each tier 4 addon uses the matching tier 3 one. You never skip a step.[3]

Industrial Foregoing's own materials show up along the way too. The tier 3 recipes call for Pink Slime, and the tier 4 recipes call for Ether Gas. If you want the top tier, you'll need your Industrial Foregoing production running well beyond the basics.[3]

Tip: Every tier 4 recipe in this pack needs a Echo Shard. Stock up on those before you plan a full set of top-tier addons, because the chain for each addon type needs its own tier 4 craft.[3]
