What is More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

More Industrial Foregoing Addons, or MIFA for short, is a small add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of efficiency, processing and speed addons, so you get more options for upgrading your Industrial Foregoing machines than the base mod gives you.[1]

MIFA also adds detailed tooltips, so you can check what an addon does right in your inventory.[1]

MIFA is for you if you already run Industrial Foregoing machines and want to push them further. If you don't use Industrial Foregoing, this mod won't have much to offer you, because its addons are all made for that mod's machines.[1]

Unverified I couldn't confirm where MIFA fits in this pack's progression. That includes how many new addon tiers it adds, what each tier does, what materials the addons need and what gates them. Check the in-game tooltips and recipe viewer for the exact details in this pack. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How do you get started with More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

2 parts

This mod is a small add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons you already know, so your Industrial Foregoing machines have more upgrade room.[1]

Before you start, get an Industrial Foregoing Dissolution Chamber running. In this pack, every one of this mod's six addons is crafted in the Dissolution Chamber, and none of them has a regular crafting table recipe.[2]

Step 1: Upgrade your tier 2 addons to tier 3

Your first items are the tier 3 addons: Speed Addon 3, Efficiency Addon 3 and Processing Addon 3. Each one is an upgrade of the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon, and that tier 2 addon is used up in the recipe. Make or save a tier 2 addon of the type you want before you begin.[2]

Step 2: Push your tier 3 addons to tier 4

Once you have a tier 3 addon, you can turn it into its tier 4 version: Speed Addon 4, Efficiency Addon 4 or Processing Addon 4. The tier 3 addon is used up in the tier 4 recipe, so you have to follow the tiers in order. You can't skip straight to tier 4.[2]

Tip: Check the tier 3 and tier 4 recipes above side by side before you start. They ask for different materials, so you can plan which resources to stockpile for the next step while you work on the current one.[2]

The mod's project page says it adds detailed tooltips to its addons. Hover over an addon in game to see what it does before you slot it into a machine.[1]

Unverified The exact bonus each tier 3 and tier 4 addon gives, how many of them a machine accepts, and which Industrial Foregoing machines can use them could not be confirmed from the available sources. Check the in-game tooltips.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work?

2 parts

More Industrial Foregoing Addons is a small, focused add-on for Industrial Foregoing. It doesn't add new machines or multiblocks. Instead, it gives you higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons you already know from Industrial Foregoing, and adds detailed tooltips to go with them.[1]

The new addon tiers

In this pack the mod adds six items: a tier 3 and a tier 4 version of each of the three addon types. They sit on top of Industrial Foregoing's own tier 2 addons, so think of them as the next steps once you've maxed out what the base mod offers.[2]

Crafting them in the Dissolution Chamber

You won't make any of these at a crafting table. Every tier 3 and tier 4 addon is made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber, so you'll need that machine running before you can start upgrading. The pack uses the mod's own recipes for all six addons and doesn't change them.[2]

Each recipe needs the addon from the tier below, so you have to work your way up through the tiers. The recipe blocks below show exactly what goes into each one.[2]

Unverified The available sources don't confirm how much each addon tier actually boosts a machine, whether addons of different tiers stack, or which Industrial Foregoing machines accept them. Check the in-game tooltips for the exact effects in this pack.

How do you progress through More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA)?

3 parts

MIFA picks up where Industrial Foregoing's own addons stop. It adds tier 3 and tier 4 versions of three addon types: Efficiency, Processing and Speed. In this pack, every one of them is made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber, not a crafting table, so you'll want one running before you start.[2]

Each tier is built on the one below it. Every tier 3 recipe takes the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon as an input. Every tier 4 recipe then takes the MIFA tier 3 addon. You can't skip straight to tier 4, so plan to craft each addon type twice on the way up.[2]

Tier 3 addons

Your first step into MIFA is upgrading an Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon. The Efficiency addon starts from Efficiency Addon Tier 2 and becomes Efficiency Addon 3.[2]

The Processing addon follows the same pattern, turning Processing Addon Tier 2 into Processing Addon 3.[2]

The Speed addon upgrades Speed Addon Tier 2 into Speed Addon 3.[2]

Tier 4 addons

Tier 4 is the top of the ladder. Each tier 4 recipe consumes the MIFA tier 3 addon of the same type, so keep your tier 3 addons around rather than burying them in machines you won't upgrade. The tier 4 recipes also draw on different materials than tier 3, so check the recipe cards below before you head out gathering.[2]

Progression at a glance

  1. Get Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber running, since every MIFA addon recipe in this pack uses it.[2]
  2. Craft the Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon of the type you want: Efficiency, Processing or Speed.[2]
  3. Upgrade it in the Dissolution Chamber into Efficiency Addon 3, Processing Addon 3 or Speed Addon 3.[2]
  4. Upgrade that tier 3 addon again into Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 4 or Speed Addon 4.[2]

Unverified The exact bonuses each tier 3 and tier 4 addon gives, and which machines accept them, could not be confirmed for this pack.

How does More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) work with other mods?

2 parts

More Industrial Foregoing Addons is built entirely around Industrial Foregoing. It adds higher tiers of the efficiency, processing and speed addons you already know from Industrial Foregoing, and it gives them detailed tooltips.[1]

In this pack, every one of these addons is made in Industrial Foregoing's Dissolution Chamber. There are six of them: tier 3 and tier 4 versions of the efficiency, processing and speed addons. This pack uses the mod's own recipes for all of them.[2]

Tier 3: upgrading Industrial Foregoing's addons

The tier 3 addons pick up where Industrial Foregoing leaves off. Each one upgrades the matching tier 2 addon. Efficiency Addon Tier 2 becomes Efficiency Addon 3, Processing Addon Tier 2 becomes Processing Addon 3, and Speed Addon Tier 2 becomes Speed Addon 3.[2]

Tier 4: the top of the chain

Once you have a tier 3 addon, you put it back into the Dissolution Chamber to make its tier 4 version. Efficiency Addon 3 becomes Efficiency Addon 4, Processing Addon 3 becomes Processing Addon 4, and Speed Addon 3 becomes Speed Addon 4.[2]

Tip: Each tier uses up the addon from the tier below. Before you start on a tier 4 addon, you need the matching Industrial Foregoing tier 2 addon to make the tier 3 one first. You also need a working Dissolution Chamber for both steps.[2]

What changed in More Industrial Foregoing Addons (MIFA) between versions?

1 part

MIFA has been part of All the Mods 10 for a long time: it was first included in version 1.9 of the pack or earlier, so it's been sitting alongside Industrial Foregoing for most of the pack's life.[3]

Pack releases

  • All the Mods 10 1.9 or earlier: More Industrial Foregoing Addons first shows up in the pack.[3]
  • All the Mods 10 2.36: the mod got a big jump, updating from 1.1.1 to 2.0.0.[4]
  • All the Mods 10 2.39: the pack still ships MIFA 2.0.0, in the file mifa-neoforge-1.21.x-2.0.0.jar.[3]

So if you're playing 2.39, you're on MIFA 2.0.0, the same version that arrived back in pack release 2.36.[3][4]

Unverified The move from 1.1.1 to 2.0.0 is a major version bump, which often means new content or reworked machines, but there's no changelog for the mod itself here, so exactly what changed in 2.0.0 can't be confirmed. If an older world or setup behaves differently after updating past pack version 2.36, that update is the place to look.
