What is Mekanism:More Machine?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mekanism:More Machine is an add-on that adds more machines and factories to Mekanism. This pack includes version 1.4.1.[1][2]
What it adds
- Recycler: destroys most useless items or blocks to produce scrap. The project page says dirt and stones were added by default, so you don't accidentally throw important things in. Scrap is the base item for making UU matter.[1]
- Planting Station: consumes nutrient solution to produce crops. The project page says it is compatible with most things that can be grown in vanilla and fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture.[1]
- Replicator: uses UU matter to replicate items. By default it has no recipe.[1]
- Stamper, Lathe and Rolling Mill: general-purpose machines. According to the project page, only the Stamper currently links to Immersive Engineering, AE2 and their accessories.[1]
- Advanced factories: factory versions of slow machines such as the chemical oxidizer, including an oxidizing factory and a dissolving factory. Their multiple threads can greatly improve production efficiency.[1]
Things to know before you build
The Replicator has no recipe by default, and the project page says you need to add the ones you want in the configuration file. For the Lathe and Rolling Mill, the project page says there are no suitable recipes yet, that some may be added in the future, and that you can add recipes yourself if you want to use them.[1]
The mod is not compatible with KubeJS or CraftTweaker. To add your own recipes you need the most primitive methods, such as KubeJS's custom recipe type. The mod's GitHub wiki documents the JSON format for each machine. The advanced factories also don't work with ComputerCraft yet, so you can't precisely control individual slots or tanks that way.[1]
Unverified The sources I was given don't show any quests involving this mod or a place for it on the ATM Star path. They also don't show whether the pack changes any of the mod's defaults, such as adding Replicator recipes, so check in game with JEI and the config folder. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Mekanism:More Machine?
4 parts
This mod adds more machines and factories to Mekanism: a Planting Station, a Replicator, a Recycler, a Stamper and factory versions of machines that never had them, such as the oxidizing and dissolving factories. The easiest first step is to take a Mekanism machine you already use and turn it into a factory.[1]
Step 1: Build your first factory
If your Chemical Oxidizer or other single-slot Mekanism machines feel slow, this is the upgrade you want. The factories run several operations at once, which speeds up production a lot. Each basic factory is crafted from the matching Mekanism machine, so pick whichever one is holding your base back and upgrade it.[1][3]

The other basic factories follow the same pattern, each using its own base machine.
The stamping line works differently because its base machine comes from this mod. First you craft the CNC Stamper, and then you upgrade it into the Basic Stamping Factory. The Stamper is worth making early because it is the one general-purpose machine that already has recipes linked to Immersive Engineering, AE2 and their add-ons.[1][3]

Step 2: Tier your factories up
Each factory tier is crafted from the tier below it. You never throw away a factory: you upgrade it in place as your Mekanism progression grows.[3]
- Basic factory: made from the matching Mekanism machine, or from the CNC Stamper for stamping.[3]
- Advanced factory: made from the basic factory of the same type, for example Advanced Oxidizing Factory.[3]
- Elite factory: made from the advanced factory, for example Elite Oxidizing Factory.[3]
- Ultimate factory: made from the elite factory, for example Ultimate Oxidizing Factory.[3]

Step 3: Scrap and UU Matter
Once your factories are running, look at the Recycler. It destroys most useless items and blocks and turns them into scrap. By default it only accepts dirt and stone, so you can't accidentally feed it something important. Scrap is the base item for making UU Matter, and JEI shows you the related recipes.[1]
UU Matter powers the Replicator, but by default the Replicator has no recipes at all. Recipes are added in the config, where each entry names an item followed by the amount of UU Matter it consumes. Fluid and chemical replicators are configured the same way.[1][4]
Unverified The sources don't show whether this pack adds any Replicator recipes in its config, so check JEI in your own world before you invest in UU Matter. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Also worth knowing
The Planting Station grows crops by consuming nutrient solution. It works with most vanilla crops and is fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture. You make nutrient solution with a dissolution recipe.[1][3]

How does Mekanism:More Machine work?
8 parts
Mekanism: More Machine adds to Mekanism in two ways. It adds brand-new machines like a Planting Station, a Recycler and a Replicator. It also gives factory versions to Mekanism machines that never had them, such as the oxidizing and dissolving factories.[1]
New factories
If you've ever felt that machines like the Chemical Oxidizer are slow, this is the part of the mod you want. Machines like that now have factory versions, and the advanced factories run multiple threads, which can greatly improve your production.[1]
The factory lines in the pack are Centrifuging, Chemical Infusing, Crystallizing, Dissolving, Liquifying, Oxidizing, Pressurised Reacting, Stamping and Washing. You'll see them as Basic Centrifuging Factory, mekmm:basic_chemical_infusing_factory, Basic Crystallizing Factory, Basic Dissolving Factory, Basic Liquifying Factory, Basic Oxidizing Factory, Basic Pressurised Reacting Factory, Basic Stamping Factory and Basic Washing Factory. Each one has an Advanced version, such as Advanced Oxidizing Factory or Advanced Washing Factory.[3]
The Basic factory recipes in the pack start from the matching Mekanism machine. For example, the Chemical Infuser goes into the mekmm:basic_chemical_infusing_factory. Every Advanced factory is then crafted from its Basic version, so you upgrade in steps instead of starting from scratch.[3]

Upgrading to Advanced
The mod's language file also names higher factory tiers: Elite, Ultimate, Overclocked, Quantum, Dense, Multiversal and Creative. One example is the Ultimate Chemical Infusing Factory.[4]
Unverified The recipes for tiers above Advanced aren't shown in the sources checked for this guide, so it's unconfirmed how you craft them in this pack.
Recycler, scrap and UU Matter
The Recycler destroys useless items and blocks and turns them into scrap. By default, dirt and stone are the items added to it. The author did this so you don't accidentally throw something important in.[1]
Scrap is the basic material for making UU Matter, and JEI shows you the related recipes. The pack also has a chemical conversion recipe that turns the UU Matter item into its chemical form.[1][3]
Chemical Conversion (mekanism)
Recipe id: mekmm:chemical_conversion/uuitem_to_uuchemical
There's a fun extra too: compressing UU Matter gives you the TedXenon doll.[3]
Replicators
The Replicator uses UU Matter to copy things, but it has no recipes by default. Recipes are added in the config file, which has separate lists for the Item, Fluid and Chemical Replicator. Each entry names what to copy plus the amount of UU Matter it consumes, and that amount can't be zero.[1][4]
Unverified No config files for this mod were available for this pack, so it's unconfirmed whether the pack adds any replicator recipes. Check JEI in-game to see what you can actually replicate. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Planting Station and nutrient solution
The Planting Station consumes nutrient solution to produce crops. It works with most things you can grow in vanilla and is fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture.[1]
Nutrient solution comes from dissolution recipes in the pack. One recipe uses bio fuel and the other uses bio fuel blocks.[3]

CNC Stamper, Lathe and Rolling Mill
These are general-purpose machines. According to the mod's project page, only the Stamper has recipes linked to Immersive Engineering, AE2 and their add-ons. The Lathe and Rolling Mill don't have suitable recipes yet, so you'd have to add recipes yourself to use them.[1]

Large generators and large machines
The Large Heat Generator's energy per tick is three parts added together: a base amount, a bonus for each side touching lava, and an extra bonus in 'ultrawarm' dimensions like the Nether. If the block itself is lava logged, that counts as well, for a maximum of 81 lava sides. It also consumes lava from its fluid tank to generate energy.[4]
There's also a Large Gas-Burning Generator with its own chemical tank. On the processing side, you get the Large Chemical Infuser, the Large Electrolytic Separator and the Large Rotary Condensentrator.[4]
Unverified The sources don't say what the Advanced Electrolysis Core is used for.

Storage and other machines
- Mid and Max Chemical Tanks come in Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate tiers, each with its own storage size and output rate.[4]
- The Ambient Gas Collector collects a chemical called Unstable Dimensional Gas.[4]
- Machines such as the Recycler, Planting Station, replicators and CNC machines each have a base energy storage and an energy cost per operation, set in the mod's config.[4]
How do you progress through Mekanism:More Machine?
3 parts
Mekanism: More Machine is mainly about factories and big upgrades, and its progression follows the familiar Mekanism ladder: Basic, then Advanced, then Elite, then Ultimate. In this pack every factory tier is crafted from the tier directly below it, so you never skip a step. You work your way up one machine line at a time.[3]
The factory lines
There are factory versions of a whole set of processing machines. Each one has its own Basic-to-Ultimate chain. Here's the full list of lines you can climb:[3]
- Centrifuging: Basic Centrifuging Factory up to Ultimate Centrifuging Factory[3]
- Chemical Infusing: mekmm:basic_chemical_infusing_factory up to mekmm:ultimate_chemical_infusing_factory[3]
- Crystallizing: Basic Crystallizing Factory up to Ultimate Crystallizing Factory[3]
- Dissolving: Basic Dissolving Factory up to Ultimate Dissolving Factory[3]
- Liquifying: Basic Liquifying Factory up to Ultimate Liquifying Factory[3]
- Oxidizing: Basic Oxidizing Factory up to Ultimate Oxidizing Factory[3]
- Pressurised Reacting: Basic Pressurised Reacting Factory up to Ultimate Pressurised Reacting Factory[3]
- Stamping: Basic Stamping Factory up to Ultimate Stamping Factory[3]
- Washing: Basic Washing Factory up to Ultimate Washing Factory[3]
Most Basic factories start from the matching single-block Mekanism machine. So if you already have the machine running in your base, you're one craft away from its factory version. The Stamping line is different. It starts with this mod's own CNC Stamper, so you need to build that first.[3]

Chemical tanks
The mod also adds Mid and Max chemical tanks in the same four tiers. For the Max tanks you get two routes. You can upgrade a Max tank one tier at a time, or you can build the Max tank of any tier straight from the Mid tank of that same tier with a Mekanism Dynamic Tank.[3]

Large machines and endgame
The large machines sit at the top of the ladder. Two of them, the Large Electrolytic Separator and the Large Gas-Burning Generator, also need the Advanced Electrolysis Core. That makes the core a key crafting step on its own.[3]

How does Mekanism:More Machine work with other mods?
2 parts
Mekanism:More Machine is an add-on for Mekanism, so most of its links in this pack are to Mekanism itself and to Mystical Agriculture. The biggest one for everyday play is the Planting Station, which grows Mystical Agriculture seeds into essence for you.[1][3]
Mystical Agriculture and the Planting Station
The Planting Station uses up nutrient solution to produce crops. The mod describes it as fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture, and this pack confirms that with Planting Station recipes for a huge range of Mystical Agriculture crops.[1][3]
These recipes cover everything from the basics like Inferium Essence to resource crops such as Iron Essence, Diamond Essence and Netherite Essence. Mob crops such as Enderman Essence and elemental crops such as Fire Essence are included too.[3]
