What is Mekanism:More Machine?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mekanism:More Machine is an add-on that adds more machines and factories to Mekanism. This pack includes version 1.4.1.[1][2]
What it adds
- Recycler: destroys most useless items or blocks to produce scrap. The project page says dirt and stones were added by default, so you don't accidentally throw important things in. Scrap is the base item for making UU matter.[1]
- Planting Station: consumes nutrient solution to produce crops. The project page says it is compatible with most things that can be grown in vanilla and fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture.[1]
- Replicator: uses UU matter to replicate items. By default it has no recipe.[1]
- Stamper, Lathe and Rolling Mill: general-purpose machines. According to the project page, only the Stamper currently links to Immersive Engineering, AE2 and their accessories.[1]
- Advanced factories: factory versions of slow machines such as the chemical oxidizer, including an oxidizing factory and a dissolving factory. Their multiple threads can greatly improve production efficiency.[1]
Things to know before you build
The Replicator has no recipe by default, and the project page says you need to add the ones you want in the configuration file. For the Lathe and Rolling Mill, the project page says there are no suitable recipes yet, that some may be added in the future, and that you can add recipes yourself if you want to use them.[1]
The mod is not compatible with KubeJS or CraftTweaker. To add your own recipes you need the most primitive methods, such as KubeJS's custom recipe type. The mod's GitHub wiki documents the JSON format for each machine. The advanced factories also don't work with ComputerCraft yet, so you can't precisely control individual slots or tanks that way.[1]
Unverified The sources I was given don't show any quests involving this mod or a place for it on the ATM Star path. They also don't show whether the pack changes any of the mod's defaults, such as adding Replicator recipes, so check in game with JEI and the config folder. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Mekanism:More Machine?
4 parts
Mekanism:More Machine builds on Mekanism. It adds a planting station and a replicator, plus factory versions of several Mekanism machines. The factory recipes in this pack start from Mekanism machines, so get your basic Mekanism machines running first.[1][3]
First craft: the CNC Stamper
The CNC Stamper is a good first craft. It's described as a machine that relies on molds to process items. The project page says that, of the Stamper, Lathe and Rolling Mill, only the Stamper currently links with IE, AE2 and their accessories. It also says there are no suitable recipes for the other machines yet, and that perhaps some will be added in the future.[1][4]

Your first factory
Factories are the heart of this mod. Machines like the chemical oxidizer are relatively slow, and the factory versions with multiple threads can greatly improve production efficiency. Every Basic factory is crafted from the matching Mekanism machine, so build the machine you need first and upgrade it. Here's the Basic Oxidizing Factory as an example.[1][3]

The Basic Oxidizing Factory is built from the Chemical Oxidizer.
The same pattern covers the centrifuging, chemical infusing, crystallizing, dissolving, liquifying, pressurised reacting, stamping and washing factories. For example, the Basic Stamping Factory is built from the CNC Stamper, which is why that machine comes first.[3]
Upgrade through the tiers
Each factory goes through the tiers Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate. Every upgrade uses the previous tier's factory as its base. Each tier asks for a higher-grade circuit and alloy than the last, so the upgrades follow your Mekanism progression. Here's the full oxidizing chain.[3]

Farming and replication
The planting station consumes nutrient solution to produce crops. The project page says it works with most vanilla crops and fully with Mystical Agriculture. In this pack, nutrient solution comes from a dissolution recipe.[1][3]
Dissolution (mekanism)
- Nutritional Paste
- 2× any bio fuel

This is the in-pack recipe for nutrient solution.
The recycler destroys unwanted items and blocks to produce scrap, and scrap is the basic item for making UU Matter. The project page says dirt and stones are added by default so you don't accidentally throw away something important. If you run JEI, you can see the relevant recipes there.[1][3]
The replicator uses UU matter to replicate items. The project page says it has no recipe by default, so you add recipes yourself in the configuration file. They are written as modid:registeredName#amount, where the number after # is how much UU matter is consumed. The item, fluid and chemical replicators each have their own list.[1][4]
How does Mekanism:More Machine work?
7 parts
This mod adds a planting station and a replicator to Mekanism, along with other machines and factory versions of several Mekanism processing machines. Here's how those pieces fit together, as far as the available sources explain them.[1]
Factories: the multi-threaded machines
Mekanism machines like the chemical oxidizer can feel slow, so the mod adds factory versions of them. The advanced factories run multiple threads, which can greatly improve production efficiency.[1]
Factories come in tiers. In this pack, a basic factory is crafted from the standard Mekanism machine it replaces, an advanced factory is crafted from the basic one, and an elite factory from the advanced one. The Basic Stamping Factory is the exception to the Mekanism-machine rule, since it is crafted from the CNC Stamper.[3]
Factory types in the sources include centrifuging, chemical infusing, crystallizing, dissolving, liquifying, oxidizing, pressurised reacting, stamping and washing. Here are examples of the tier chain:[3]

Recycler, scrap and UU matter
The recycler destroys most useless items or blocks to produce scrap, and only if there is a recipe for the input. By default, dirt and stones were added, so you don't accidentally throw away something important. According to the project page, scrap is the basic item for making UU Matter, and JEI will show you the relevant recipes.[1][3][4]
The pack also has a conversion recipe that turns UU matter in its item form into UU matter in its chemical form:[3]
Chemical Conversion (mekanism)
Recipe id: mekmm:chemical_conversion/uuitem_to_uuchemical
Replicators
The replicators use UU matter to copy things: the mod has an item replicator, a fluid replicator and a chemical replicator. The project page says the item replicator has no recipe by default and that you need to add recipes in the configuration file, which the author admits may be troublesome but considers necessary. The language file has matching recipe settings for the fluid and chemical replicators too.[1][4]
Each entry is written as modid:registeredName#amount, where the number after the # is how much UU matter it consumes (it can't be null or zero). The mod's own examples include water and heavy water for the fluid replicator, and stone and a basic bin for the item replicator.[4]
Unverified Which replicator recipes this pack adds is set in the mod's config, and the sources here do not show those config files. Check the replicator in JEI before planning around it. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Planting station
The planting station consumes nutrient solution to grow crops. It works with most things that can be grown in vanilla and is fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture.[1]
In this pack, nutrient solution comes from a dissolution recipe that combines nutritional paste with a bio fuel:[3]
Dissolution (mekanism)
- Nutritional Paste
- 2× any bio fuel
Recipe id: mekmm:dissolution/nutrient_solution
Ambient gas collector
The ambient gas collector extracts mysterious substances from the atmosphere. Unstable Dimensional Gas is collected with it, and you need to be careful not to place blocks above the machine. Its tooltip tells you whether it is blocked or not blocked above.[4]
CNC Stamper, Lathe and Rolling Mill
These are general-purpose machines. The stamper relies on molds to process items, the lathe has many material-processing functions, and the rolling mill uses mechanical force to bend metal. The mod's project page says that at the moment only the stamper has recipes, linking up with Immersive Engineering and Applied Energistics 2 and their accessories, and that you would have to add your own for the lathe and rolling mill.[1][4]

Energy
The language file has entries for a base energy storage and an energy cost per operation, both in Joules, for the recycler, planting station, replicators, CNC machines, ambient gas collector and Large Rotary Condensentrator. The replicators also have their own settings groups for storage and usage.[4]
Unverified The actual energy storage and usage values are set in the mod's config, and the sources here do not show those config files, so I can't give you the numbers.
How do you progress through Mekanism:More Machine?
3 parts
The factories in this mod are tiered versions of Mekanism's chemical machines. In this pack you climb them in a fixed order: Basic, Advanced, Elite, then Ultimate. Every factory type follows the same ladder, so once you understand one, you understand them all.[3]
Unverified The sources here show no quest in the pack's quest book for this mod, so the progression below follows the in-pack recipes instead of a quest line.
The upgrade ladder
- Start with the matching Mekanism machine. A Basic factory is crafted from the standard machine it replaces, for example the Isotopic Centrifuge for centrifuging, the Chemical Washer for washing, or the Chemical Oxidizer for oxidizing.[3]
- Craft the Advanced version from the Basic factory of the same type, for example Basic Centrifuging Factory into Advanced Centrifuging Factory.[3]
- Craft the Elite version from the Advanced factory, for example Advanced Centrifuging Factory into Elite Centrifuging Factory.[3]
- Craft the Ultimate version from the Elite factory, for example Elite Centrifuging Factory into Ultimate Centrifuging Factory.[3]
There is no skipping a tier. Each factory is built from the one below it, so the Basic factory you make first stays part of the chain all the way to Ultimate. Each step up also asks for circuits and an alloy of a higher tier, so your wider Mekanism progression decides how fast you can upgrade.[3]
Tier by tier, using centrifuging as the example
Here is the full ladder for the centrifuging factory. The other factory types use the same pattern with their own machine and factory swapped in.[3]

The stamping line starts with the CNC Stamper
Stamping is the one line whose starting machine comes from this mod. The Basic stamping factory is crafted from the CNC Stamper rather than from a machine in base Mekanism. After that it climbs the same Advanced, Elite and Ultimate ladder as everything else.[3]

How does Mekanism:More Machine work with other mods?
2 parts
Mekanism:More Machine is an add-on for Mekanism, so its main link is to Mekanism itself. Its other big connection in this pack is Mystical Agriculture, which the planting station handles through dedicated recipes.[1][3]
Mekanism: building the CNC Stamper
The CNC Stamper is built from Mekanism parts, with Steel Casing at its core alongside a Piston and a Sticky Piston. The recipe below shows the exact in-pack version.[3]

Mystical Agriculture: planting station recipes
The planting station consumes nutrient solution to produce crops. The mod page says it is fully compatible with Mystical Agriculture. In this pack that shows up as a long list of planting recipes, one for each Mystical Agriculture seed type, such as air, aluminum, diamond and netherite.[1][3]
Each of these recipes is marked as changed by the pack. Nutrient solution plus one seed goes in, and you get that crop's essence and the seed back. For example, Air Seeds produce Air Essence and return the seeds.[3]
The inferium version, which yields Inferium Essence and gives the seeds back.
What changed in Mekanism:More Machine between versions?
Mekanism: More Machine has only ever shown up in the All the Mods 10 changelogs as version bumps. Here's the full trail of what the pack did with it, starting from when it was added.[5][6][7][8]
- All the Mods 10 4.3: Mekanism: More Machine 1.21.1-1.0.2 was added to the pack.[5]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 1.21.1-1.0.2 to 1.21.1-1.0.3.[6]
- All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 1.21.1-1.0.3 to 1.21.1-1.0.4.1.[7]
- All the Mods 10 4.12: updated from 1.21.1-1.0.4.1 to 1.21.1-1.0.5.[8]
All the Mods 10 4.14 still ships version 1.21.1-1.0.5, in the file mekmm-1.21.1-1.0.5.jar. That means it hasn't changed since the 4.12 update.[8][9]
Unverified The pack changelogs only list version numbers, and no changelogs are stored for the shipped jars. What each update actually changed (new machines, fixes, balance or recipe tweaks) is unverified, so check the mod's own release notes before assuming anything.
