What is Laser Bridges & Doors?
2 parts
Laser Bridges & Doors is a small, decorative redstone mod that gives you futuristic laser bridges, doors and fences. You place a laser source block, give it a redstone signal, and it projects a laser structure outward. This pack ships version 1.21.1-1-neoforge of the mod.[1][2]
How it works
- The laser only forms while the source block is powered by redstone, so a lever, button or pressure plate is enough to open and close a laser door or bridge.[1]
- The length of the laser depends on the redstone signal strength and updates as the signal changes. A weaker signal gives you a shorter bridge.[1]
- You can recolor a laser source by clicking it with a dye in hand, or have a dispenser apply the dye for you.[1]
- There are full block laser sources for more complex redstone contraptions, plus a Laser Fence Source Block variant for laser fences.[1]
The mod is configurable. One option sets the maximum laser length at full power, and all partial lengths are calculated from it. The mod's own default is 15 blocks. Another option lists the blocks that lasers are allowed to cut through and replace.[1]
Unverified The sources don't confirm whether this pack keeps the mod's default maximum laser length or changes it. Test it in game before you plan a long bridge.
Who it's for
If you like building bases with a sci-fi look, secret entrances or redstone-controlled walkways, this mod is for you. Its job is style and redstone fun rather than tech or resource progression.[1]
Unverified The sources don't document a place for this mod in the pack's progression, and no in-pack recipe for the laser source blocks could be confirmed. Check the recipe viewer in game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Laser Bridges & Doors?
3 parts
Laser Bridges & Doors has a short path: you craft one block, give it a redstone signal, and you get a laser bridge, door or fence. Everything starts with the Laser Source.[1][3]
Step 1: Craft a Laser Source
The Laser Source is the heart of the mod. When it gets a redstone signal, it projects the laser platforms and doors. This pack adds its own shaped crafting recipe for it, so use the recipe shown below instead of anything you remember from the mod's project page.[1][3]

The pack's own recipe for the Laser Source
Step 2: Power it with redstone
- Place your Laser Source where you want the bridge or door to start.[1]
- Give it a redstone signal. The laser forms as soon as the block is powered.[1]
- Change the signal strength to change the laser's length. The laser updates as the signal changes, so a lever or button makes an instant door and a variable signal makes a bridge that grows and shrinks.[1]
The length scales with signal strength up to a configurable maximum reached by a fully powered source. In the mod, that maximum is 15 by default. This pack's own setting isn't confirmed, so test a fully powered source in your world before you plan a long bridge.[1]
Step 3: Make it look good
You can color a Laser Source by clicking it with a dye in your hand. You can also have a dispenser apply the dye, which is handy for color-changing redstone builds.[1]
Unverified The mod's project page says you can convert a Laser Source into a Laser Fence Source by placing it in the crafting grid, and back again. This pack's recipe dump doesn't list that recipe, so it may not work here. Check JEI/EMI in game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Unverified The mod's project page also mentions full block laser sources for more complicated redstone contraptions. How to get them in this pack isn't confirmed.
How does Laser Bridges & Doors work?
5 parts
Everything in this mod starts from one block: the Laser Source. When you activate it with a redstone signal, it projects a futuristic laser that forms a bridge, a door or a fence. You don't build any multiblocks or manage any power grid. Plain redstone switches your lasers on and off.[1]
Redstone controls the laser length
Redstone doesn't just turn the laser on. The signal strength sets how far the laser reaches. A fully powered laser source makes a laser at the maximum length, and weaker signals make proportionally shorter ones based on that maximum.[1]
The length updates dynamically, so changing the signal strength stretches or shrinks the laser live. That makes comparators, analog signals and fading redstone lines useful for building extending bridges or doors that open by a set amount.[1]
Lasers can also pass through certain blocks and replace them. The mod keeps a configurable list of the blocks that lasers are allowed to cut through, so a laser only stops at blocks that aren't on that list.[1]
Coloring your lasers
You can color a laser source by clicking it while holding a dye. If you want to automate this, a dispenser can apply the dye too. That means a redstone contraption can recolor your lasers without you touching them.[1]
Full block laser sources
The mod also has full block laser sources, which are made for building more complicated redstone contraptions.[1]
Unverified The sources don't say exactly how full block laser sources behave differently from the regular laser source, or how you get them in this pack.
Crafting the Laser Source in this pack
This pack adds its own crafting recipe for the Laser Source. Use the recipe shown below rather than the one on the mod's project page.[3]

Pack-added recipe for the Laser Source
Unverified The mod's project page says you can turn a Laser Source into a Laser Fence Source in the crafting grid and convert it back again. The pack's recipe dump doesn't list this conversion, so it may not be available in this pack.
Configuration
The mod's settings can be changed in-game or in its JSON config file. The key option is max_length, the length of the laser from a fully powered laser source, and every partial length is calculated from it. The mod's default is 15. The other option, blocks_cut_through_by_lasers, sets which blocks lasers can replace.[1]
Unverified This pack doesn't ship a config file for this mod in the available sources, so the maximum laser length and the cut-through block list used in this pack could not be confirmed.
How do you progress through Laser Bridges & Doors?
Progression for Laser Bridges & Doors is refreshingly simple in this pack. Only one of the mod's items has a crafting recipe here: the Laser Source. So there's no tier ladder to climb. Once you can craft a Laser Source, you're in.[3]
This recipe is added by the pack itself, so it's the one that counts here. Check it before you head out gathering materials, rather than relying on what you remember from other setups.[3]

Unverified No tier breakdown, upgrade path or later-game items for this mod could be confirmed for this pack. No quests or guidebook were available to check against, so nothing here tells you when in your playthrough to pick the mod up. If the mod has other blocks or upgrade steps, look them up in a recipe viewer in-game to see how they're obtained here. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
What changed in Laser Bridges & Doors between versions?
In All the Mods 10 2.38, Laser Bridges & Doors ships as version 1.21.1-1-neoforge, from the jar file laserbridges-1.21.1-1-neoforge.jar. It's been in the pack for a good while now: it was first included in All the Mods 10 1.9 or earlier.[2]
Unverified There are no pack changelog entries for this mod and no stored changelogs for the shipped jar, so any changes to its version, recipes or behaviour between the release where it first appeared and 2.38 can't be confirmed.
