What is Laser Bridges & Doors?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.38 guide
Laser Bridges & Doors is a small, decorative redstone mod that gives you futuristic laser bridges, doors and fences. You place a laser source block, give it a redstone signal, and it projects a laser structure outward. This pack ships version 1.21.1-1-neoforge of the mod.[1][2]
How it works
- The laser only forms while the source block is powered by redstone, so a lever, button or pressure plate is enough to open and close a laser door or bridge.[1]
- The length of the laser depends on the redstone signal strength and updates as the signal changes. A weaker signal gives you a shorter bridge.[1]
- You can recolor a laser source by clicking it with a dye in hand, or have a dispenser apply the dye for you.[1]
- There are full block laser sources for more complex redstone contraptions, plus a Laser Fence Source Block variant for laser fences.[1]
The mod is configurable. One option sets the maximum laser length at full power, and all partial lengths are calculated from it. The mod's own default is 15 blocks. Another option lists the blocks that lasers are allowed to cut through and replace.[1]
Unverified The sources don't confirm whether this pack keeps the mod's default maximum laser length or changes it. Test it in game before you plan a long bridge.
Who it's for
If you like building bases with a sci-fi look, secret entrances or redstone-controlled walkways, this mod is for you. Its job is style and redstone fun rather than tech or resource progression.[1]
Unverified The sources don't document a place for this mod in the pack's progression, and no in-pack recipe for the laser source blocks could be confirmed. Check the recipe viewer in game. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Laser Bridges & Doors?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Laser Bridges & Doors adds laser sources that create laser bridges, doors and fences when a redstone signal powers them. Getting started is simple: craft a source, power it, then play with the extras.[1]
Craft a Laser Source
Everything starts with the Laser Source. The pack changed the mod's own recipe for it and also added a KubeJS recipe, so you have a choice of recipes. Both are shown below exactly as the pack has them.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| Iron Ingot | Glass | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | End Crystal | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot |
Recipe id: laserbridges:laser_source_block
This is the mod's own recipe, changed by the pack.
Shaped (kubejs)
| any iron ingot | any glass blocks | any iron ingot |
| any iron ingot | End Crystal | any iron ingot |
| any iron ingot | any iron ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/laserbridges_laser_source_block
This is an extra recipe added by the pack through KubeJS.
Switch between bridge and fence sources
The Laser Fence Source is the fence version of the source. The mod lets you convert between the types in both directions, and the pack changed both conversion recipes too.[1][3]

How does Laser Bridges & Doors work?
3 parts
Laser Bridges & Doors is a simple one: there are no machines, multiblocks, power buffers or item and fluid handling to set up. You place a laser source, hit it with a redstone signal, and it projects a laser platform, door or fence. The two items you work with are Laser Source and Laser Fence Source.[1][4]
Redstone control and length
A laser only forms while its source is activated by redstone. How long it gets depends on the strength of the signal, and it updates dynamically as the signal changes. That means you can use a redstone dial or a comparator output to stretch or shrink a bridge.[1]
The mod's maximum length is the length of a laser from a fully powered source, and every shorter length is worked out from that value. The mod's default is 15 blocks. The mod also has a list of blocks that lasers are allowed to replace.[1]
Unverified The mod can be configured in-game or through a laserbridges.json config file, but the sources here show no config file for this mod in the pack. The maximum length this pack actually uses, and which blocks lasers can cut through, are not shown, so the default of 15 may not apply.
Colors and full block sources
You can color a laser source by clicking it with a dye, or by firing a dye at it from a dispenser.[1]
There are also full block versions of both sources, named Laser Source Block and Laser Fence Source Block. The mod describes these as the ones to use for more complicated redstone contraptions.[1][4]
All four source blocks drop themselves when broken.[5][6][7][8]
Crafting and converting
The pack changes how Laser Sources are made. One craft gives you two sources, so a single End Crystal goes further here.[9][10]
Crafting Shaped
| Iron Ingot | Glass | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | End Crystal | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot |
Recipe id: laserbridges:laser_source_block
In this pack one craft makes 2 Laser Sources.
You can swap between the two kinds of source with a single-item shapeless craft, and the swap works in both directions. The pack defines both of these recipes itself.[1][9][10]

How do you progress through Laser Bridges & Doors?
2 parts
The sources I have for this pack do not show a tier ladder for this mod. What they do confirm is how its two main blocks are crafted, so this section sticks to that.[10]
Laser Source
The mod's own shaped recipe for the Laser Source has been changed by the pack, and it makes 2 Laser Sources per craft.[10]
Crafting Shaped
| Iron Ingot | Glass | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | End Crystal | Iron Ingot |
| Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot | Iron Ingot |
Recipe id: laserbridges:laser_source_block
The pack's changed version of the mod recipe, crafting 2 Laser Sources.
The pack also adds a second shaped recipe through KubeJS that makes 2 Laser Sources as well. So there are two in-pack ways to craft the same block.[10]
Shaped (kubejs)
| any iron ingot | any glass blocks | any iron ingot |
| any iron ingot | End Crystal | any iron ingot |
| any iron ingot | any iron ingot | any iron ingot |
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/laserbridges_laser_source_block
Added by the pack, also crafting 2 Laser Sources.
Switching between bridge and fence
The Laser Fence Source has its own shapeless recipe, and the pack has changed it.[10]

Going the other way, a changed shapeless recipe gives you a Laser Source back.[10]

What changed in Laser Bridges & Doors between versions?
1 part
All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta ships Laser Bridges & Doors 6.1. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 11 0.0.12 or earlier, so you have had it for a long time.[11]
Mod changelog highlights
- 5.4: fixed a NeoForge crash.[12]
- 6: added full block laser sources.[13]
- 6.1: fixed mip levels, thanks to seriousfreezing. This is the version in the pack now.[11][14]
These come from the mod's own changelogs. The sources here have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't tell you which pack release picked up each update.[11][12][13][14]
