What is Extended Industrialization?
1 part
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization. It adds a bunch of new machines, power sources, tools, resources and more. If you're already building up a Modern Industrialization factory, this mod gives you extra tools to work with.[1]
The feature list is big. You get machines like the Alloy Smelter, Bending Machine, Brewery, Canning Machine, Farmer, Large Furnace, Large Macerator, Machine Chainer, Processing Array and Wireless Charging Station. It also adds Solar Boilers and Solar Panels for power, gear like the Steam Chainsaw, Electric Drill and Chainsaw, Ultimate Laser Drill and Nano Suit, and resources such as Mulch, Manure, NPK Fertilizer and Honey.[1]
This pack runs version 1.15.2 of the mod.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
The pack's quests bring in this mod's machines at a few key points as you move through the Steam, Electric and Digital Age chapters.[3][4][5]
- Steam Age: New Beginnings asks you to make the Steel Alloy Smelter in quest a quest in "Steam Age: New Beginnings". The Alloy Smelter combines the jobs of a Mixer and a Furnace in one machine, so the work is less tedious.[5]
- Electric Age: No more rookie has you make the Electric Alloy Smelter in quest a quest in "Electric Age: No more rookie". It does the same job as the steam version.[4]
- Digital Age brings the Processing Array in quest a quest in "Digital Age". This large multiblock lets you simulate machines running in parallel.[3]
How do you get started with Extended Industrialization?
6 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization, so everything here plugs into the machines and materials you already know. It adds extra machines, generators, tools and resources on top. This page covers the first things worth building and why.[1]
Start with the Steel Alloy Smelter
Your first stop is the Steel Alloy Smelter, which the Steam Age quest chapter points you to. It combines the jobs of the Mixer and the Furnace into one machine, so the work is less tedious.[5]

Farming automation
The Steam Farmer is the first farmer you can craft, and the Electric Farmer is crafted from it plus other parts. A farmer can till, plant, hydrate, fertilize and harvest. Tilling only works when water is supplied, and harvesting needs enough output space.[6][7]

Looking ahead: the Processing Array
In the Digital Age chapter, a quest introduces the Processing Array. It is a large multiblock that simulates machines running in parallel. You pick the number of parallel machines in the controller's GUI and put the machine you want to simulate in the slot on the right. You need as many of those machines as the operations you want. The quest lists 51 Clean Stainless Steel Machine Casings and 8 Stainless Steel Machine Casing Pipes for the structure, plus item, energy and output hatches. Check quest a quest in "Digital Age" for the full list.[3]

How does Extended Industrialization work?
5 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization. It adds new machines such as the Alloy Smelter, Bending Machine, Brewery, Canning Machine, Composter, Farmer, Large Furnace, Processing Array and Universal Transformer, plus generators, tools and farming resources.[1]
Machine tiers and crafting
Several of the new machines come in more than one tier. The Bending Machine has a bronze, a steel and an electric version, while the Alloy Smelter, Brewery and Canning Machine show up here as steel and electric versions. You don't craft the steel Bending Machine from scratch. You upgrade the bronze one instead, and that recipe is shapeless.[6]

Configuring and automating machines
Machines from this mod have a machine configuration panel that you open by clicking. The Machine Config Card saves a machine's settings so you can copy them onto others. You save with a key combination on a machine, apply with a use click on another machine, and clear the card with a key combination on air. You can also hold the card in your off-hand while placing machines to apply the settings automatically.[7]
The Machine Chainer is the main automation helper. It connects a limited number of consecutive machines in a straight line, in the direction it faces. It accepts items, fluids and energy and distributes them to the machines it's connected to. It can connect to other Machine Chainers, but it must not link back to itself.[7]
Wireless power: the Tesla system
Tesla machines send energy wirelessly. A Tesla Coil transmits to linked receivers within a set range, and the hull you provide sets the voltage. Higher voltages have an increased passive drain.[7]
The Tesla Tower also transmits to linked receivers within range. Its windings determine the energy transfer rate, range and passive drain, while its energy hatches set the voltage. All the hatches must be the same tier. A Tesla interdimensional upgrade removes the range limitation on a Tower and lets it transmit energy across dimensions.[7]
On the receiving end, a Tesla Receiver must accept energy of the same voltage as the transmitter it's linked to. The Tesla Calibrator handles the linking: you save a transmitter's position with a key combination, then use the calibrator on a receiver to link it. As with the config card, you can hold it in your off-hand while placing receivers to link them automatically. A handheld receiver also works. It links to a transmitter, then charges items while they're in your inventory and you're within range.[7]
Two extras are worth knowing. The Tesla Lethal Coil deals damage to entities nearby while powered. The Tesla Particle Generator generates arcs for aesthetic purposes only.[6][7]

Farming and resource machines
The Farmer handles several separate tasks, and each has its own requirement:[7]
- Tilling turns dirt blocks into farmland, but it won't work unless water is supplied.[7]
- Hydrating waters tilled soil when the machine is supplied with water.[7]
- Planting places crops or saplings on valid soil, and different planting modes give different arrangements.[7]
- Fertilizing randomly bonemeals crops and saplings when supplied with a valid fluid fertilizer.[7]
- Harvesting collects fully grown crops and trees, as long as there is enough output space.[7]
Two smaller machines produce resources. The Honey Extractor gives honey in fluid form when placed facing into a beehive. The Waste Collector collects manure when placed underneath animals.[7]
Canned food
The Robot Auto Feeder automatically grabs Canned Food from your inventory and feeds it to you, and it also works with items that hold items, such as backpacks. The Tin Can has its own crafting recipe.[6][7]

Recipe id: extended_industrialization:component/craft/tin_can
Unverified The sources here do not show exact values such as the Machine Chainer link count, the Tesla Coil range, winding stats, or machine energy and fluid capacities. No guidebook or config files for this mod were available, so check these in-game before you plan a build around them.
How do you progress through Extended Industrialization?
6 parts
In this pack, the quest book places Extended Industrialization machines in three chapters: the Alloy Smelter in the steam and electric chapters, and the Processing Array in Digital Age. The recipes below fill in the rest of the tier breakdown. They are built from Modern Industrialization parts such as casings, hulls, rotors, cables and circuits.[3][4][5][6]
Steam Age
The first Extended Industrialization quest is the Steel Alloy Smelter (a quest in "Steam Age: New Beginnings") in the Steam Age chapter. The quest describes it as combining the work of a Mixer and a Furnace into one machine, so alloying is less tedious.[5]

Digital Age
The big goal from this mod is the Processing Array (a quest in "Digital Age"). It's a large multiblock that simulates machines running in parallel. You choose how many parallel machines to simulate in the controller GUI, then put the machine you want to copy in the slot on the right side. You need as many of that machine as the number of operations you want. It also accepts the usual upgrades.[3]
The quest asks for 51 Clean Stainless Steel Machine Casings and 8 Stainless Steel Pipe Casings, plus item input, item output and energy hatches.[3]

How does Extended Industrialization work with other mods?
5 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization, so that is the mod it connects to most. In this pack, the recipes and quests that link it to another mod are almost all about Modern Industrialization parts. The one exception is a vanilla blaze rod used in the brewery recipes.[1][6]
Most machines here can be made in the crafting grid or in the Modern Industrialization assembler. Both versions use the same ingredients, so use whichever fits your progress.[6]
Steel upgrade path
The Modern Industrialization Steel Upgrade is what takes the Bronze Bending Machine and the Bronze Composter up to their steel versions. You can do this in the crafting grid or in a packer, and an unpacker reverses it. The recipes below show the exact in-pack ingredients.[6]

Quest connections
In the steam chapter, the quest for the Steel Alloy Smelter says the Alloy Smelter comes from Extended Industrialization. It does the job of a mixer and a furnace in one machine, which makes the work less tedious. See a quest in "Steam Age: New Beginnings". The electric chapter has a follow-up quest for the Electric Alloy Smelter, described as the same idea as the steam one. See a quest in "Electric Age: No more rookie".[4][5]
In the Digital Age chapter, a quest in "Digital Age" asks you to build the Processing Array out of Modern Industrialization blocks. That means 51 clean stainless steel machine casings and 8 stainless steel pipe casings, plus item input and output hatches and an energy hatch. The quest describes it as a large multiblock that simulates machines running in parallel. You pick the number of simulated machines in the controller GUI and put the machine you want to copy in the slot on the right. You need as many machines as the operations you want, and it accepts the usual upgrades.[3]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Extended Industrialization?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Extended Industrialization shows up in three quest chapters in this pack. They follow the tech progression, so you meet the mod first in the Steam Age, then the Electric Age, and finally in the Digital Age.[8][9][10]
Steam Age: New Beginnings
Quest a quest in "Steam Age: New Beginnings" asks you to get a Steel Alloy Smelter. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the chapter. The quest text says the Alloy Smelter comes from Extended Industrialization and combines the jobs of the Mixer and the Furnace into one machine, which makes the work less tedious.[10]
Electric Age: No more rookie
Quest a quest in "Electric Age: No more rookie" is the electric follow-up. Its note says it is the same as the steam one, and it asks you to get an Electric Alloy Smelter. It also unlocks after an earlier quest in its chapter.[9]
Digital Age
Quest a quest in "Digital Age" is about the Processing Array. The quest describes it as a large multiblock that simulates machines running in parallel. It unlocks after an earlier quest in the chapter.[8]
The quest has several tasks. You hand in the Processing Array itself, 51 clean stainless steel machine casings and 8 stainless steel machine casing pipes. You also need one item input hatch, one item output hatch, and one energy input hatch or the steel fluid output hatch. Several tiers of each hatch are accepted.[8]
- Pick how many parallel machines you want to simulate in the GUI of the controller block.[8]
- Put the machine you want to simulate into the slot on the right side of the GUI.[8]
- Make sure you have as many of those machines as you want parallel operations.[8]
