What is Extended Industrialization?
2 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization. It adds a bunch of new machines, power sources, tools, resources and more on top of that mod's tech. If you're already building Modern Industrialization machines, this gives you a lot more to craft and automate.[1]
This pack ships version 1.14.14-1.21.1 of the mod.[2]
What it adds
- Processing machines: the Alloy Smelter, Bending Machine, Brewery, Canning Machine, Composter, Farmer and Honey Extractor, plus the Large Furnace, Large Macerator and Processing Array.[1]
- Utility machines: the Machine Chainer, Universal Transformer, Waste Collector and Wireless Charging Station.[1]
- Power generation: the Solar Boiler and Solar Panel.[1]
- Tools and equipment: the Steam Chainsaw, Electric Drill and Chainsaw, Ultimate Laser Drill, Nano Suit, Machine Config Card and Canned Food.[1]
- Resources: Mulch, Manure, Composted Manure, NPK Fertilizer, Honey (as a fluid) and Crystallized Honey.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack's quests bring this mod in during the electric age chapter. There, the quest a quest in "?" asks you to get an Electric Bending Machine, so that's the first Extended Industrialization machine the quest book points you toward.[3]
How do you get started with Extended Industrialization?
4 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization. It adds a bunch of new machines, power sources, tools and resources on top of it. So you won't start from scratch here. You'll slot these machines into the Modern Industrialization progression you're already working through.[1]
Start with the bronze machines
Your first Extended Industrialization machines are the bronze ones. They're built around a Bronze Machine Casing, so you can make them as soon as your bronze setup is running. A good first pick is the Bronze Bending Machine, because it has a direct upgrade path later on.[4]

Upgrade to steel
Once you have steel, you can turn your bronze machines into steel ones with a shapeless recipe. You keep the machine you already built. This makes the Steel Bending Machine and the Steel Composter.[4]

Automate your farm
Farming automation is built in steps. First make a Steel Combine, because the Steam Farmer needs one. Later, the Steam Farmer itself is used to craft the Electric Farmer.[4]

- Planting: give the farmer crops or saplings and it plants them on valid soil. Different planting modes give different layouts.[5]
- Tilling: when enabled, it turns dirt into farmland. This only works while water is supplied.[5]
- Hydrating: supply water and your tilled soil stays hydrated.[5]
- Fertilizing: supply a valid fluid fertilizer and it randomly bonemeals crops and saplings.[5]
- Harvesting: with enough output space, it harvests fully grown crops and trees.[5]
Into the electric age
Your first quest milestone for this mod is a quest in "?". It sits in the electric age chapter and asks you to make an Electric Bending Machine. You can craft it by hand or make it in an assembler, so use whichever one you have running.[3][4]

After that, the other electric machines use a Basic Machine Hull too. These include the Electric Composter, the Electric Honey Extractor and the Electric Alloy Smelter. Once you've got hulls flowing, adding them is easy.[4]
Unverified The sources don't say exactly what each machine processes or which one this pack expects you to prioritize. Check each machine's recipe viewer entry in-game before investing heavily in it. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Extended Industrialization work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.10 guide
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization. It adds new machines such as the Alloy Smelter, Bending Machine, Brewery, Canning Machine, Composter, Farmer, Large Furnace, Processing Array and Universal Transformer, plus generators, tools and farming resources.[1]
Machine tiers and crafting
Several of the new machines come in more than one tier. The Bending Machine has a bronze, a steel and an electric version, while the Alloy Smelter, Brewery and Canning Machine show up here as steel and electric versions. You don't craft the steel Bending Machine from scratch. You upgrade the bronze one instead, and that recipe is shapeless.[6]

Configuring and automating machines
Machines from this mod have a machine configuration panel that you open by clicking. The Machine Config Card saves a machine's settings so you can copy them onto others. You save with a key combination on a machine, apply with a use click on another machine, and clear the card with a key combination on air. You can also hold the card in your off-hand while placing machines to apply the settings automatically.[7]
The Machine Chainer is the main automation helper. It connects a limited number of consecutive machines in a straight line, in the direction it faces. It accepts items, fluids and energy and distributes them to the machines it's connected to. It can connect to other Machine Chainers, but it must not link back to itself.[7]
Wireless power: the Tesla system
Tesla machines send energy wirelessly. A Tesla Coil transmits to linked receivers within a set range, and the hull you provide sets the voltage. Higher voltages have an increased passive drain.[7]
The Tesla Tower also transmits to linked receivers within range. Its windings determine the energy transfer rate, range and passive drain, while its energy hatches set the voltage. All the hatches must be the same tier. A Tesla interdimensional upgrade removes the range limitation on a Tower and lets it transmit energy across dimensions.[7]
On the receiving end, a Tesla Receiver must accept energy of the same voltage as the transmitter it's linked to. The Tesla Calibrator handles the linking: you save a transmitter's position with a key combination, then use the calibrator on a receiver to link it. As with the config card, you can hold it in your off-hand while placing receivers to link them automatically. A handheld receiver also works. It links to a transmitter, then charges items while they're in your inventory and you're within range.[7]
Two extras are worth knowing. The Tesla Lethal Coil deals damage to entities nearby while powered. The Tesla Particle Generator generates arcs for aesthetic purposes only.[6][7]

Farming and resource machines
The Farmer handles several separate tasks, and each has its own requirement:[7]
- Tilling turns dirt blocks into farmland, but it won't work unless water is supplied.[7]
- Hydrating waters tilled soil when the machine is supplied with water.[7]
- Planting places crops or saplings on valid soil, and different planting modes give different arrangements.[7]
- Fertilizing randomly bonemeals crops and saplings when supplied with a valid fluid fertilizer.[7]
- Harvesting collects fully grown crops and trees, as long as there is enough output space.[7]
Two smaller machines produce resources. The Honey Extractor gives honey in fluid form when placed facing into a beehive. The Waste Collector collects manure when placed underneath animals.[7]
Canned food
The Robot Auto Feeder automatically grabs Canned Food from your inventory and feeds it to you, and it also works with items that hold items, such as backpacks. The Tin Can has its own crafting recipe.[6][7]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: extended_industrialization:component/craft/tin_can
Unverified The sources here do not show exact values such as the Machine Chainer link count, the Tesla Coil range, winding stats, or machine energy and fluid capacities. No guidebook or config files for this mod were available, so check these in-game before you plan a build around them.
How do you progress through Extended Industrialization?
5 parts
Extended Industrialization follows the same ladder as the machines it builds on. You start with bronze steam machines, move up to steel versions, and then go electric, where the solar panels and Tesla receiver hatches are split into named tiers from LV all the way to EV. Every recipe below is the one used in this pack, so what you see in the recipe viewers is what you actually craft.[4]
Where the quests come in
This pack's quests give the mod very little attention. The only quest found for it is a quest in "?" in the "the_electric_age" chapter, and all it asks for is an Electric Bending Machine. That makes the Electric Bending Machine your quest-marked checkpoint once you reach electricity.[3]
The Electric Bending Machine has two recipes in this pack. One is a normal crafting table recipe, and the other runs in an Assembler with the same parts, so you can pick whichever suits your setup.[4]

Bronze and steam tier
Your first Extended Industrialization machines are bronze and steam machines. Two of them, the Bronze Bending Machine and the Bronze Composter, have recipes this pack has changed, so don't trust older videos or guides for these two.[4]
- Bronze Bending Machine: recipe changed by the pack.[4]
- Bronze Composter: recipe changed by the pack.[4]
- Bronze Solar Boiler, Large Steam Furnace and Large Steam Macerator use the mod's own recipes.[4]
- Steam Farmer needs a Steel Combine, so craft that component first.[4]

Electric tiers
Once you have power, you get electric versions of the processing machines: the Electric Alloy Smelter, Electric Brewery, Electric Canning Machine, Electric Composter, Electric Honey Extractor and the quest-marked Electric Bending Machine.[4]
Keep your Steam Farmer around, because the Electric Farmer recipe uses it. Unlike the steam farmer, it also needs steel machine casings.[4]

Recipe id: extended_industrialization:machines/farmer/craft/electric
Two families of items spell out their tier in the name, so they make a handy progression map. Each higher tier uses a better machine hull in its recipe.[4]
- Solar panels: LV Solar Panel, MV Solar Panel and HV Solar Panel.[4]
- Tesla receiver hatches: LV Tesla Receiver Hatch, MV Tesla Receiver Hatch, HV Tesla Receiver Hatch and EV Tesla Receiver Hatch. Every one of them needs a Tesla Receiver.[4]
Big machines and extras
- Large Electric Furnace and Large Electric Macerator are built from the regular single-block electric furnace and macerator.[4]
- Processing Array is a later build that needs clean stainless steel casings and a digital circuit.[4]
- Machine Chainer Relay and Large Configurable Chest are utility blocks with the mod's own recipes.[4]
- Tesla Particle Generator and Lethal Tesla Coil both use the Silver Tesla Top Load. This pack has changed the Lethal Tesla Coil recipe.[4]

Unverified The sources don't confirm the exact voltage tier of the basic electric machines, the large multiblocks or the Processing Array, or how much energy any machine uses. They also don't say what the pack changed in its modified recipes, only that those recipes differ from the mod's defaults.
How does Extended Industrialization work with other mods?
4 parts
Extended Industrialization is an addon for Modern Industrialization, so almost every connection it has with other mods in this pack runs straight into Modern Industrialization. Its alloy smelters, bending machines, breweries, canning machines, composters, farmers and honey extractors are all built from Modern Industrialization parts.[1][4]
Most of these machines have two recipes: a normal crafting table recipe and a Modern Industrialization Assembler recipe for the same item. You can hand-craft your first one and move production into the Assembler once your factory is running.[4]
Recipes changed by the pack
This pack changed three recipes that link the two mods: Steel Plated Bricks, the Bronze Bending Machine and the Bronze Composter. Both the crafting table and Assembler versions of each were changed. Use the in-pack recipes below, not the ones from the mod's default setup.[4]

Bronze to steel upgrades
The Bronze Bending Machine and Bronze Composter work like Modern Industrialization's own bronze machines. You can upgrade each one to its steel version, Steel Bending Machine or Steel Composter, with a shapeless crafting recipe or in the Packer.[4]

Higher-tier gear
Later items keep leaning on Modern Industrialization. The HV Solar Panel, the HV Tesla Receiver Hatch and the EV Tesla Receiver Hatch are built on Modern Industrialization machine hulls. Which All the Mods 10 quests use Extended Industrialization?
Extended Industrialization appears in just one quest in this pack, in the chapter with the internal id the_electric_age. The quest is a quest in "?", and it has no title.[3]
The task is to obtain an Electric Bending Machine. That is the only thing the quest asks for from this mod, so building one is all you need to complete it.[3]
Unverified The sources don't show where this quest sits within the chapter, what quests unlock it, or what rewards it gives. The chapter's display name may also differ from its internal id.
