What is Corail Tombstone?
2 parts
Corail Tombstone keeps your inventory safe in a grave when you die. The grave is a decorative block that gives off a faint fog at night and can be harvested with a pickaxe or shovel. It comes in several models and colors, and they all play the same.[1]
The pack ships version 9.5.5 of the mod, built for NeoForge 1.21.1. It's a good fit if you want death to be a setback rather than a disaster, whether you play solo or on a server.[1][2]
More than a grave
After a while, a soul will often come to haunt your grave and stay until it's freed. Freed souls enable certain enchantments or an upgrade to the grave's key. The mod also adds a few things you can explore at your own pace:[1]
- Knowledge points, earned by using a grave's soul to enchant an item, by praying near a grave with the Ankh of Prayer, or by completing the mod's advancements. You spend them on perks in the Knowledge of Death screen.[1]
- Magic and enchantments such as Soulbound, which preserves the item on death.[1]
- A Grave Guardian that sometimes appears near a grave, protects the area from hostile creatures and offers trades.[1]
- Lootable abandoned graves on the Overworld surface or in the ocean, plus forgotten scrolls that reveal hidden lore.[1]
Most features, items and enchantments can be disabled in the mod's config files, and an in-game config screen opens with the /tbgui command.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
The pack doesn't gate this mod behind a progression chain. The one quest that touches it is "Disenchanting Methods" quest in the Tips and Tricks chapter, which lists several ways to pull enchantments off gear and onto books. The Tombstone method uses the Book Of Disenchantment.[3]
Here's how it works. When a decorative grave has a Grave Soul roaming it, right-click the soul with the book in your offhand and an enchanted item in your main hand. It may strip the enchantments and return them as books.[3]
Unverified The sources don't show whether the pack changes any of this mod's recipes or config values, so check the in-game config screen before relying on mod defaults. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Corail Tombstone?
5 parts
Corail Tombstone keeps your inventory safe in a decorative grave when you die. So your first job is not a weapon or armor. It's getting the basic materials, so you can build graves of your own and use the mod's extras.[1]
Step 1: Get Grave Dust
Almost everything in this mod starts with Grave Dust. The mod page says you get it by killing undead or through the Cat Morning Gift. This pack also has a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe, changed by the pack, that outputs Wax and Grave Dust. The sources don't show what goes into that centrifuge recipe, so check it in-game.[1][4]
Step 2: Make a marble
Every decorative grave is built around a marble block, and every marble recipe uses Grave Dust. Dark Marble is a good one to start with.[4]
The pack changes the recipes for Blue Marble and Green Marble compared with the mod's defaults. Use the recipes below, not what you remember from other packs.[4]

Decorative graves come in several models and colors, and the mod page says there's no gameplay difference between them. Pick whichever you like. Here is one example, made from dark marble.[1][4]

The mod page says that after a while a soul will often come to haunt a grave and stay until it's freed. Freeing it enables certain enchantments (magic scroll or tablet) or an upgrade to the grave's key. The config lets you adjust how often this happens.[1]
Make a grave plate
At an anvil you can combine a Grave Plate with an iron ingot to engrave a name. You can then apply or change that name on your decorative graves. A config option can disable name changes.[1][4]

Step 5: Try the Book of Disenchantment
Once graves are up, the Book Of Disenchantment is a handy early extra. The pack's Tips and Tricks quest "Disenchanting Methods" quest describes it. When a Grave Soul is roaming a Decorative Grave, right click it with the book in your offhand and an enchanted item in your main hand. It may strip the enchantments and return them as books.[3]

How does Corail Tombstone work?
7 parts
Tombstone is built around death, not machines. The sources describe no power, fluid or multiblock systems, so this section covers what the mod does: graves, souls, engraving, knowledge, prayers and alignment, plus the pack's config values for them.[1]
Graves and recovering your stuff
When you die, a decorative grave appears and keeps your inventory safe. It's a block that gives off a faint fog at night, and you can harvest it with a pickaxe or a shovel. It comes in several models and colors, and none of them differ in gameplay, so pick whichever you like.[1]
After a while a soul will often come to haunt your grave and stays until you free it. Freeing it enables certain enchantments (via magic scrolls or tablets) or an upgrade to the grave's key.[1]
In this pack, sneaking at a grave activates it, and a grave is allowed to appear in water. Holding the key highlights the grave from far away, and the marker is the wing type. Your items are equipped automatically in every case, both on death respawn and on grave recovery.[5]
- client.activate_grave_by_sneaking is true in the pack.[5]
- client.allow_grave_in_water is true.[5]
- client.auto_equip_rule is set to ALWAYS.[5]
- client.highlight is true and client.marker_type is WING.[5]
The pack also keeps the compatibility options on. Curios slots are auto-equipped, cosmetic armor is kept when you die, and potion effects stay on you after returning from the conquered End. See compatibility.curio_auto_equip, compatibility.keep_cosmetic_armor and compatibility.preserve_effects_on_return_end_conquered.[6]
The mod also has a Soulbound enchantment that preserves the item on death. The Preservation effect keeps your experience and beneficial effects on death.[7]
Building your own decorative graves
Decorative graves are made from a marble block plus an ingredient from a tag. Dark Marble, Blue Marble and Carmin Marble are among the marbles in the recipe dump, and each one has its own set of grave recipes. The marbles themselves are made with Grave Dust.[4]

The mod's project page says you also need an Essence of Undeath. It's unlocked through advancements, and it rarely drops from undead, comes from the Cat Morning Gift, or can be fished in deep water. Grave Dust comes from killing undead or from the Cat Morning Gift.[1]
Engraving
At the anvil, combine a grave plate with an iron ingot to engrave a name onto it. You can then apply or change that name on your decorative graves. A config option can disable name changes.[1]

Grave Guardian
Rarely, a Grave Guardian appears near a grave. It protects the area from hostile creatures and offers trades, which are one way to get Essence of Undeath. The pack leaves it enabled via decorative_grave.allow_grave_gardian.[1][6]
Knowledge of Death and Ankh prayers
You earn knowledge points by using a grave's soul to enchant an item, by freeing a soul from a receptacle, by praying near a decorative grave with the Ankh Of Prayer, or by completing the mod's advancements. The Ankh's default cooldown is 6 in-game hours, and it can be adjusted in the config.[1]
Spend the points on perks in the Knowledge of Death screen. Its keybind is not set by default and sits under misc. The same screen has a Compendium section with information about the mod.[1]

What the Ankh can do depends on your alignment. Among other things it can grant beneficial effects when you pray at decorative graves, or charm certain creatures such as undead into companions.[1]
Alignment points in this pack
Every alignment value I can see in the pack's common config matches the mod default. Good deeds earn points and bad ones cost you.[6]
- Using a Potion of Earthly Garden gives 10 points (alignment.points_earthly_garden).[6]
- Exorcising a zombie villager gives 20 (alignment.points_exorcism_zombie_villager).[6]
- Freeing a soul in a receptacle gives 50 (alignment.points_free_soul_receptacle).[6]
- Killing a raider gives 5 (alignment.points_kill_raider).[6]
- Praying for protection gives 20 (alignment.points_pray_of_protection).[6]
- Killing one of your tamed creatures costs 10 (alignment.points_kill_tamed_creature).[6]
- Killing a villager costs 15 (alignment.points_kill_villager).[6]
- Plundering a player's grave costs 10 (alignment.points_plunder_player_grave).[6]
- Using a tablet of cupidity costs 10 (alignment.points_tablet_of_cupidity).[6]
- Zombifying a villager costs 20 (alignment.points_zombify_villager).[6]
Abandoned graves and in-game config
Lootable abandoned graves generate in 5 colors, and their loot is configurable in config/tombstone/loottables. You can find them with the structure tag #tombstone:abandoned_grave.[1]
The in-game config screen opens with the /tbgui command or a customizable keybind. Commands such as TBShowLastGrave and TBRestoreInventory help you find your grave or restore its contents from a distance.[1]
How do you progress through Corail Tombstone?
6 parts
Corail Tombstone doesn't have a big tier ladder in this pack. Progression is a chain of crafting steps that all grow out of Grave Dust. The only quest I can confirm that touches the mod is "Disenchanting Methods" quest, which sits in the Tips and Tricks chapter and is about getting enchantments off items.[3][4]
Getting grave dust
Grave dust is the starting material for the mod's items. One source I can confirm in this pack is a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that the pack changed. It gives Wax and grave dust, but the dump shows no item inputs for it, so check the recipe viewer for what feeds the centrifuge.[4]
Basic gear and crafting parts
Strange Scroll and Strange Tablet are the crafting parts that later tiers depend on. The dump also lists a few simple utility items: Ankh Of Prayer, Grave Plate, Bone Needle, Bone Scepter and Fishing Rod Of Misadventure.[4]

Marble and graves
The mod's marble types are Dark Marble, White Marble, Carmin Marble, Blue Marble and Green Marble. Each has slab, stairs and wall variants, and the stonecutting recipes for those variants are in the dump.[4]
The pack changed the blue marble and green marble recipes. Don't rely on the mod's default recipes for them.[4]

Marble is also the base for the decorative graves. Every marble type has recipes for the cross, normal, original and simple graves, the Subaraki grave and the tombstone. Examples are Decorative Grave Cross, Decorative Grave Normal and Decorative Tombstone.[4]

Scrolls and tablets
Once you have a strange scroll, you can turn it into effect scrolls by pairing it with one extra item. The scrolls in the dump are Scroll Of Aquatic Life, Scroll Of Feather Fall, Scroll Of Frost Resistance, Scroll Of Knowledge, Scroll Of Lightning Resistance, Scroll Of Mercy, Scroll Of Preservation, Scroll Of Purification, Scroll Of Reach, Scroll Of True Sight and Scroll Of Unstable Intangibility.[4]
Strange tablets work the same way. They upgrade into Tablet Of Assistance and Tablet Of Cupidity.[4]
Books
The books are the mod's more specialised tools. The dump lists Book Of Disenchantment, Book Of Magic Impregnation, Book Of Oblivion, Book Of Recycling, Book Of Repairing, Book Of Scribe and Book Of Soulbound.[4]

Consumables and extras
The dump also lists a few consumables: Dust Of Frost, Dust Of Vanishing and Smoke Ball. Longer-term items are Impregnated Diamond and Receptacle Of Familiar, whose recipes are shown below. There is also a recipe for an enchanted Grave Key.[4]

Unverified No in-jar guidebook was found for this mod, so the sources here do not show how the scrolls, tablets and most of the books behave in game. The only quest text covering the mod is the disenchanting quest in the Tips and Tricks chapter.
How does Corail Tombstone work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, Corail Tombstone connects to other mods in two places: a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe the pack changed, and a quest that lists the mod's Book of Disenchantment alongside other ways to pull enchantments off gear.[3][4]
Productive Bees: another source of Grave Dust
Normally you get Grave Dust by killing undead mobs or through the Cat Morning Gift, and you need it to build your own decorative grave. This pack adds another route: a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs both Wax and Grave Dust.[1][4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/tombstone/honeycomb_grave
The recipe dump marks this centrifuge recipe as changed by the pack. It lists no item inputs, and its outputs are Wax and Grave Dust.
Disenchanting: one of many methods
The quest "Disenchanting Methods" quest in the Tips and Tricks chapter puts the Book Of Disenchantment next to the other ways to move enchantments from an item onto books. The other methods it covers are a falling Anvil on Obsidian, the Dis-Enchanting Table, the Draconic Evolution Disenchanter, EvilCraft's Purifier and Blook, Apothic Enchanting's tomes, Industrial Foregoing's Enchantment Extractor, and Actually Additions' Lens of Disenchanting.[3]
The Book of Disenchantment works in a way none of the others do. Decorative graves occasionally have a Grave Soul roaming them. Hold the Book in your offhand and an enchanted item in your main hand, then right-click the Grave Soul. It may strip the enchantments and return them as books.[3]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Corail Tombstone?
3 parts
In this pack, the only quest I can confirm for Corail Tombstone is in the "Tips and Tricks" chapter. It's called "Disenchanting Methods" quest, and it's a roundup of ways to pull enchantments off gear and onto books, with the tombstone mod as one of the methods.[3]
What the quest asks for
The task is an item task that lists a whole set of items joined by "or", including the Book Of Disenchantment. The other entries are from different mods, such as a Disenchanting Table, the Draconic Evolution Disenchanter, Apothic Enchanting tomes, an anvil, the Industrial Foregoing Enchantment Extractor, the EvilCraft Purifier and Blook, and the Actually Additions Lens of Disenchanting. Because of the "or" wording, the list looks like a menu of options rather than a checklist.[3]
The Book of Disenchantment method
The quest text explains how the book works. Decorative Graves will occasionally have a Grave Soul roaming them. You right click that Grave Soul with the book in your offhand and an enchanted item in your main hand, and it may strip the enchantments and return them as books.[3]
Order and other chapters
There is only one quest for this mod in the sources, so there is no sequence to follow. You can do it whenever you like and compare the other disenchanting methods it describes.[3]
Unverified No other quest chapters involving Corail Tombstone could be confirmed from the available sources.
Which Corail Tombstone config options matter?
4 parts
Corail Tombstone is heavily configurable, but this pack leaves most of it at the mod's defaults. The handful of changes below are the ones that affect how you play, so start there.[1][5][6][8]
What the pack changed
- recovery.backup_on_death is true in this pack. The mod's own comment lists false as the default. Together with recovery.recovery_player_enable being on and recovery.recovery_player_max_saves set to 15, you get an automatic player backup when you die.[6]
- player_death.restore_effects_on_death is false. The mod's comment lists true as the default, so in this pack your beneficial potion effects are not restored after you die.[6]
- allowedMagicItems.allow_bag_of_seeds and allowedMagicItems.allow_book_of_recycling are both false. The mod default for each is true, so the Bag of Seeds and the Book of Recycling are switched off here. Every other magic item in that list is still allowed.[8]
- enchantments.frostbite_combining_fire_aspect is true. The mod default is false, so Frostbite can be combined with Fire Aspect in this pack. enchantments.plague_bringer_combining_magic_siphon stays false, so Plague Bringer cannot be combined with Magic Siphon.[8]
- client.enable_halloween_ghost is false, against a default of true. That means no Halloween ghost appears around you.[5]
- Two colour options differ from their defaults. client.fog_color is 16,777,215 (default 125,656), and client.particle_casting_color is 14,937,088 (default 125,656). These only change how the fog around graves and the magic-item particles look.[5]
Death settings left at their defaults
The item-loss options are all at 0. player_death.chance_loss_on_death and player_death.percent_loss_on_death are both 0, so nothing is lost from your grave through those options. player_death.decay_time is -1, which is the disabled value, so a grave is not unlocked to everyone after a set time.[6][8]
general.always_keep_xp_on_death is false, and player_death.chance_mob_on_grave_recovery is 0, so no creatures appear after you empty a grave.[6][8]
general.ghostly_shape_duration is 120 seconds. If you teleport with a Grave's Key, player_death.nerf_ghostly_shape_teleport_with_key is on and caps the effect at 10 seconds.[6][8]
Perks and prayer
Every perk is allowed in this pack, for example allowed_perks.allow_alchemist and allowed_perks.allow_necromancer. Perk levels are at their defaults too: allowed_perks.level_max_alchemist is 5, while allowed_perks.level_max_concentration is 3.[8]
allowed_perks.cooldown_reset_perk and decorative_grave.prayer_cooldown are both 120 minutes, the same as the defaults in the option comments.[8]
Client options you can tweak yourself
The client file is just personal preference. client.auto_equip_rule is ALWAYS, so your items are equipped automatically when you recover them. client.skip_respawn_screen is false, and client.activate_grave_by_sneaking is true. These match the mod defaults, so change them to suit you.[5]
