AttributeFix in All the Mods 10

AttributeFix is a small background mod that removes arbitrary limits from Minecraft's attribute system. That system handles important calculations, from armor values to attack damage to the maximum health of a mob.^[1]

Vanilla also puts caps on how high any attribute value can go. This usually goes unnoticed, but many mods are unknowingly affected by those caps. AttributeFix significantly increases them so those mods can work as they were intended.^[1]

Attributes it affects

• Max Health^[1]
• Follow Range^[1]
• Knockback Resistance^[1]
• Movement Speed^[1]
• Attack Damage and Attack Speed^[1]
• Armor and Armor Toughness^[1]
• Luck^[1]

Who it's for and version in the pack

If you play with mods that stack big bonuses to health, damage, armor or similar stats, this mod is what stops those bonuses from being clipped by the vanilla caps. You get the benefit just by having it installed.^[1]

The pack ships AttributeFix 21.1.3, built for NeoForge 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.^[2]

Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests, recipes or progression steps tied to this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. Treat it as a background utility rather than something you work toward.

Good news: there's nothing you need to craft to get started with AttributeFix. It's a fixer mod that works in the background. It doesn't add a first item to build or a progression step to follow.^[1]

Minecraft handles important calculations through an attribute system, covering everything from armor values to attack damage to a mob's maximum health. That system also has caps that limit how high any value can go. Many mods are unknowingly affected by those caps, and AttributeFix significantly raises them so those mods can work as they were intended.^[1]

Attributes it affects

• Max Health^[1]
• Follow Range^[1]
• Knockback Resistance^[1]
• Movement Speed^[1]
• Attack Damage^[1]
• Attack Speed^[1]
• Armor^[1]
• Armor Toughness^[1]
• Luck^[1]

In practice, this means gear, effects and mobs from other mods in the pack that push these stats high aren't held back by the vanilla limits.^[1]

Unverified I couldn't confirm any in-pack recipes, quests, items or config values for AttributeFix, so there are no recipe blocks or setup steps in this section. The exact new cap values used in this pack are also unverified.

AttributeFix works differently from the machine and multiblock mods you may be used to. It has no machines, power, fluids or item automation to set up. It changes a rule in the game's attribute system, which handles important calculations behind the scenes.^[1]

Minecraft uses attributes for everything from armor values to attack damage to the maximum health of a mob. That system also comes with attribute caps, which limit how high any value can go. Most of the time you never notice, but many mods are unknowingly affected by these caps.^[1]

AttributeFix significantly increases those caps, so the mods that run into them can work as they were intended.^[1]

Affected attributes

These are the attributes whose caps the mod raises:^[1]

• Max Health^[1]
• Follow Range^[1]
• Knockback Resistance^[1]
• Movement Speed^[1]
• Attack Damage^[1]
• Attack Speed^[1]
• Armor^[1]
• Armor Toughness^[1]
• Luck^[1]

Unverified The exact new cap values and whether anything about the mod can be configured in this pack are not confirmed by the sources I have, so I can't give you numbers here.

The sources for this mod only cover a couple of data points, so this section is short. AttributeFix has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier, and the exact first version is not confirmed.^[2]

• All the Mods 10 4.13 updated AttributeFix from 21.1.2 to 21.1.3.^[3]
• All the Mods 10 8.1 ships AttributeFix 21.1.3 (attributefix-neoforge-1.21.1-21.1.3.jar), so that is the version you are running in this pack.^[2]

Unverified No changelog for the shipped AttributeFix jars was available, so what changed between 21.1.2 and 21.1.3 is unverified. The pack changelogs I have also don't show any pack-specific changes to this mod's config or behavior.
