What is AttributeFix?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
AttributeFix is a small background mod that removes arbitrary limits from Minecraft's attribute system. That system handles important calculations, from armor values to attack damage to the maximum health of a mob.[1]
Vanilla also puts caps on how high any attribute value can go. This usually goes unnoticed, but many mods are unknowingly affected by those caps. AttributeFix significantly increases them so those mods can work as they were intended.[1]
Attributes it affects
- Max Health[1]
- Follow Range[1]
- Knockback Resistance[1]
- Movement Speed[1]
- Attack Damage and Attack Speed[1]
- Armor and Armor Toughness[1]
- Luck[1]
Who it's for and version in the pack
If you play with mods that stack big bonuses to health, damage, armor or similar stats, this mod is what stops those bonuses from being clipped by the vanilla caps. You get the benefit just by having it installed.[1]
The pack ships AttributeFix 21.1.3, built for NeoForge 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests, recipes or progression steps tied to this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star path. Treat it as a background utility rather than something you work toward.
How do you get started with AttributeFix?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Good news: there's nothing you need to craft to get started with AttributeFix. It's a fixer mod that works in the background. It doesn't add a first item to build or a progression step to follow.[1]
Minecraft handles important calculations through an attribute system, covering everything from armor values to attack damage to a mob's maximum health. That system also has caps that limit how high any value can go. Many mods are unknowingly affected by those caps, and AttributeFix significantly raises them so those mods can work as they were intended.[1]
Attributes it affects
- Max Health[1]
- Follow Range[1]
- Knockback Resistance[1]
- Movement Speed[1]
- Attack Damage[1]
- Attack Speed[1]
- Armor[1]
- Armor Toughness[1]
- Luck[1]
In practice, this means gear, effects and mobs from other mods in the pack that push these stats high aren't held back by the vanilla limits.[1]
Unverified I couldn't confirm any in-pack recipes, quests, items or config values for AttributeFix, so there are no recipe blocks or setup steps in this section. The exact new cap values used in this pack are also unverified.
How does AttributeFix work?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
AttributeFix works differently from the machine and multiblock mods you may be used to. It has no machines, power, fluids or item automation to set up. It changes a rule in the game's attribute system, which handles important calculations behind the scenes.[1]
Minecraft uses attributes for everything from armor values to attack damage to the maximum health of a mob. That system also comes with attribute caps, which limit how high any value can go. Most of the time you never notice, but many mods are unknowingly affected by these caps.[1]
AttributeFix significantly increases those caps, so the mods that run into them can work as they were intended.[1]
Affected attributes
These are the attributes whose caps the mod raises:[1]
- Max Health[1]
- Follow Range[1]
- Knockback Resistance[1]
- Movement Speed[1]
- Attack Damage[1]
- Attack Speed[1]
- Armor[1]
- Armor Toughness[1]
- Luck[1]
Unverified The exact new cap values and whether anything about the mod can be configured in this pack are not confirmed by the sources I have, so I can't give you numbers here.
Which AttributeFix config options matter?
2 parts
AttributeFix removes the arbitrary caps Minecraft puts on its attribute system, so mods that push values past the vanilla limits work as intended. Its attack speed, armor, max health and luck caps are among the ones it raises. In this pack the attributes get their own small JSON files under config/attributefix, split into folders such as minecraft, ftb and combat_roll.[1]
Every file shown here has the same three options: a minimum, a maximum, and a switch that decides whether the range gets modified at all. In the files the sources show, almost all are left at the mod default. The one I'd point you to is attack speed.[3][4]
The value the pack changed: attack speed
Attack speed is the only file I can show where the pack differs from the mod default. Here are its options one by one.[3]
- max.value is 6 in this pack.[3]
- max.//default records the mod default for that cap, which is 1024, so the pack sets a much lower ceiling than the mod would.[3]
- modify_range.value is true in this pack. The mod default is false.[3]
- min.value is 0, the same as the mod default.[3]
Files that match the mod default
These files show the same value as the mod default, with modify_range left off. They are useful to know about because they tell you the ceiling for each mechanic.[5][6][7][8][9]
- max.value, extra jumps, wall climb and multishot all have a maximum of 16.[5][6][7][8]
- Combat roll count has a maximum of 20. Combat roll distance runs from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 24.[9][10]
- Gravity runs from -1 to 1, and step height has a maximum of 10.[11][12]
- Enchanting arcana has a maximum of 50, bloodlust 100 and ninja 60.[13][14][15]
- Several gun and magic attributes, such as gun accuracy, gun ammo save and anima soul thrift, are capped at 0.9.[16][17][18]
Unverified Config files for the vanilla attributes such as max health, attack damage, armor and movement speed also exist in config/attributefix/minecraft, but the sources here do not show their contents, so whether the pack changed them is unverified.
What changed in AttributeFix between versions?
1 part
There isn't much version history to cover for AttributeFix in this pack. FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 ships AttributeFix 26.1.2.3, and the mod was already in the pack in 1.0.2 or earlier.[19]
AttributeFix 26.1.2.3
- The mod now logs more detail when something goes wrong, and it no longer crashes the game on purpose when it is loaded improperly.[20]
That is the only change listed in the mod's own changelog for the version you have in 1.1.0. The sources here include no pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't tell you how earlier releases of the pack differed.[19][20]

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as attributefix, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
