What is Baubley Heart Canisters?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, reimagined as Curios-slot items. The pack includes version 1.21.1-1.4.1 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 2.25 or earlier.[1][2]
What it does
You collect heart canisters in four tiers. Red hearts drop from hostile mobs, yellow hearts from boss mobs such as the Wither, green hearts from the Ender Dragon, and blue hearts from Wardens. Each tier can also be crafted from the previous tiers, so check JEI for the exact recipes.[1]
The Heart Amulet holds all of your heart canisters in a single slot. The Soul Heart Amulet works the same way but also takes Soul Heart Canisters. These act like Totems of Undying: they heal you back to max health, then revert to Blue Heart Canisters once used.[1]
Extras worth knowing
- Vitality Blade: a sword that gains 2 attack damage for each Heart Canister. It is made with the Soul Heart Crystal, which is also used for Soul Amulets.[1]
- Relic Apple: a crafting item you can also eat, giving Haste II, Strength II and Resistance II for one minute.[1]
- Wither Bone: a crafting item that drops from Wither Skeletons.[1]
- Wardens now drop Echo Shards, which makes them renewable.[1]
Who it's for
This mod is for anyone who wants more max health, and a bigger damage boost from the Vitality Blade, as a reward for hunting mobs and bosses. It requires Curios to run. The amulet's slot type, the drops and the starting health are all configurable.[1]
Unverified We found no quests in this pack involving the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star path. Whether the pack changes any of its drops, recipes or config values is unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Baubley Heart Canisters?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, this time as Curios-slot items. Curios is required for the mod to work, so make sure it's installed. Here's the order I'd tackle things in.[1]
Step 1: Collect your first hearts
Everything starts with hearts. Miniature Red Heart drops from hostile mobs, Miniature Yellow Heart from boss mobs such as the Wither, Miniature Green Heart from the Ender Dragon, and Miniature Blue Heart from Wardens in 1.19 and later. The mod makes all of these drops configurable.[1][3]
Step 2: Make a Canister and your first Red Heart Canister
The plain Canister is the base piece, and you'll need it for your first canister.[3]

Your first heart canister is the Red Heart Canister, and two crafting items come into play on the way: the Relic Apple and the Wither Bone. The Wither Bone drops from Wither Skeletons and can also be crafted. Those two recipes are below, followed by the canister itself.[1][3]

Step 3: Craft a Heart Amulet
The Heart Amulet holds all your heart canisters in one slot, which saves you a lot of Curios space. Right click it to open it. Its Curios slot type can be changed in-game or in the config file.[1][4]

Step 4: Climb the tiers
Each tier of heart can also be crafted from the previous tiers, and the canister recipes follow the same ladder. In this pack the order is Red, Yellow, Green, then Blue. Yellow needs a Red Heart Canister, Green needs a Yellow one, and Blue needs a Green one.[1][3]
- Yellow Heart Canister: the next step up from your Red Heart Canister.[3]
- Green Heart Canister: built on the Yellow Heart Canister.[3]
- Blue Heart Canister: built on the Green Heart Canister.[3]
Your next goal after the hearts is the Soul Heart Crystal. It is a crafting item used in making the Soul Amulet and the Vitality Blade.[1][3]

How does Baubley Heart Canisters work?
6 parts
Quick heads up: this mod has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item pipes to automate. Nothing here needs wiring up. It works through equipment slots instead: you collect hearts, craft them into canisters, and wear them in a Curios slot (the mod's page lists Curios as required).[1]
Where hearts come from
The mod's page says each heart colour has its own source: red hearts drop from hostile mobs, yellow from boss mobs such as the Wither, green from the Ender Dragon, and blue from Wardens on 1.19 and later. It also says all drops are configurable.[1]
Unverified The drop settings this pack actually uses are unconfirmed. No config file for this mod was available.
You can also craft your way up. Each tier can be made from the previous tiers, and the page recommends checking JEI for the recipes. The recipes below are the ones the pack uses.[1]
Melting and converting hearts
Melted hearts are an intermediate form. You smelt a Miniature Blue Heart to get a Melted Blue Heart, and the green heart works the same way. Melted hearts can also be converted between colours.[6]

Canister progression
The Canister is the base item. In this pack, each canister tier is crafted by upgrading the one before it, from the Red Heart Canister through the Yellow Heart Canister and Green Heart Canister to the Blue Heart Canister.[6]

The Soul Amulet works like the Heart Amulet but can also hold a Soul Heart Canister. It is the only place that canister can be used. A Soul Heart Canister acts like a Totem of Undying: it heals you back to max health, and once consumed it reverts to a Blue Heart Canister. You will see the message "Soul Heart Has Been Consumed!" when that happens.[1][4]

How do you progress through Baubley Heart Canisters?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
Baubley Heart Canisters is a ladder of upgrades. You start with a plain Canister, climb through the red, yellow, green and blue heart canisters, and finish with the Soul Heart Canister. Each canister is built from the one before it, so you can't skip a rung.[3]
The canister tiers
The base canister is your entry point, and everything else grows from it.[3]

Getting the hearts
Every heart canister needs a matching miniature heart (Miniature Red Heart, Miniature Yellow Heart, Miniature Green Heart and Miniature Blue Heart), so hearts are your real bottleneck. In this pack you can smelt a miniature heart into its melted form, and a melted heart is what the miniature heart recipe is built around.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any heart | ||
Recipe id: bhc:blue_heart
The pack's quest book also asks for these hearts. In the Legendaries chapter, the Paldea quest a quest in "?" wants the blue, yellow, red and green hearts, and its text describes them as taken from the world's mightiest foes. It comes after The Summoning Altar, so have your hearts ready before you get there.[5]
Belts and soul gear
Heartpulse belts follow the same ladder as the canisters. The Red Heartpulse Belt is a normal crafting recipe that uses the red canister. The yellow, green and blue belts are smithing upgrades of the belt below them, and each also consumes canisters.[3]

The other branch starts at the Soul Heart Crystal, which is crafted from the miniature hearts of all the colors plus an amethyst shard and an echo shard. The crystal feeds into the Soul Amulet, the Vitality Blade and the Vigor Bow.[3]

Recipe id: bhc:soul_heart_crystal
The Heart Amulet is the base for the Soul Amulet. The Red Health Patch and its yellow, green and blue siblings are separate crafts, each made from the miniature heart of its color.[3]
How does Baubley Heart Canisters work with other mods?
1 part
The only in-pack connection I can confirm for Baubley Heart Canisters is a recipe the pack adds for Summoning Rituals, and it pulls in Cobblemon as well. It's a neat one: all four heart colours go on the altar together.[6]
A Summoning Rituals altar recipe added by all-the-mons. It uses all four hearts plus a Life Orb.
What the recipe uses
- Miniature Red Heart, Miniature Yellow Heart, Miniature Green Heart and Miniature Blue Heart are all required, one of each tier.[6]
- Life Orb from Cobblemon is the fifth input.[6]
- The result is Pokemon Model.[6]
The Baubley Heart Canisters mod says the hearts drop from different mobs: hostile mobs for red, boss mobs for yellow, the Ender Dragon for green, and Wardens for blue. It also says each tier can be crafted from the previous tiers, and that drops are configurable. So you need to collect every tier before you can use this ritual. Check JEI for the heart recipes in the pack, since the sources here don't show them.[1]
What changed in Baubley Heart Canisters between versions?
2 parts
All the Mons 1.0.0-rc.7 ships Baubley Heart Canisters 1.21.1-1.4.0, and the mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Here are the two mod releases with changelog entries I can confirm.[7]
1.21.1-1.4.0 (the version in this pack)
- The in-game config was enabled, so you can adjust the mod's settings without editing files by hand.[8]
- Heal amounts and cooldowns for heart patches became configurable.[8]
1.21.1-1.3.1
- Fixed a bug where the bonemeal recipe was replaced with wither bone instead of being added as an alternative.[9]
Both entries come from the mod's own changelogs. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so I can't say whether the pack changed any of its values.[8][9]
