What is Baubley Heart Canisters?
3 parts
Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, reimagined as Curios-slot items. The pack includes version 1.21.1-1.4.1 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since 2.25 or earlier.[1][2]
What it does
You collect heart canisters in four tiers. Red hearts drop from hostile mobs, yellow hearts from boss mobs such as the Wither, green hearts from the Ender Dragon, and blue hearts from Wardens. Each tier can also be crafted from the previous tiers, so check JEI for the exact recipes.[1]
The Heart Amulet holds all of your heart canisters in a single slot. The Soul Heart Amulet works the same way but also takes Soul Heart Canisters. These act like Totems of Undying: they heal you back to max health, then revert to Blue Heart Canisters once used.[1]
Extras worth knowing
- Vitality Blade: a sword that gains 2 attack damage for each Heart Canister. It is made with the Soul Heart Crystal, which is also used for Soul Amulets.[1]
- Relic Apple: a crafting item you can also eat, giving Haste II, Strength II and Resistance II for one minute.[1]
- Wither Bone: a crafting item that drops from Wither Skeletons.[1]
- Wardens now drop Echo Shards, which makes them renewable.[1]
Who it's for
This mod is for anyone who wants more max health, and a bigger damage boost from the Vitality Blade, as a reward for hunting mobs and bosses. It requires Curios to run. The amulet's slot type, the drops and the starting health are all configurable.[1]
Unverified We found no quests in this pack involving the mod, and it isn't on the ATM Star path. Whether the pack changes any of its drops, recipes or config values is unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Baubley Heart Canisters?
6 parts
Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, this time as Curios-style accessories. The mod page lists Curios as required, so you wear the canisters rather than just carrying them. Here is the order I'd go in.[1]
Everything starts with hearts. Red hearts drop from hostile mobs, yellow hearts from boss mobs like the Wither, green hearts from the Ender Dragon and blue hearts from Wardens. The mod page says all of these drops are configurable.[1]
First, make a Canister
Your first craft is the Canister. It is the base for the first heart canister, and it only needs a bone and an iron ingot, so you can make it right away.[3]

Next, craft a Relic Apple
The Relic Apple is a crafting ingredient for the Red Heart Canister, and you can also eat it. The mod page says it gives Haste II, Strength II and Resistance II for one minute.[1][3]

Then get a Wither Bone
The Wither Bone is another crafting item. The mod page says it drops from Wither Skeletons, and the pack also has a recipe that uses a Wither Skeleton skull.[1][3]

Build the Red Heart Canister
Now combine the pieces into the Red Heart Canister. This is why you gather red hearts from hostile mobs first: the recipe needs a Miniature Red Heart, and the recipe below shows the rest.[1][3]

Finally, craft a Heart Amulet to wear them
The Heart Amulet holds all of your heart canisters in a single slot. Right click it to open it. The mod page says the Curio slot type it uses can be changed in-game or in the config file.[1][3][4]

Where to go next
Each heart tier can also be crafted from the previous tiers, and the mod page recommends checking JEI or a similar recipe viewer. The next canisters in the chain are these:[1]
- Yellow Heart Canister uses a Red Heart Canister, a Miniature Yellow Heart and an enchanted golden apple.[3]
- Green Heart Canister builds on a Yellow Heart Canister and needs a shulker shell and a nether star.[3]
- Blue Heart Canister builds on a Green Heart Canister and needs an amethyst gem and a netherite block.[3]
Once you have the heart tiers, the Soul Heart Crystal opens up the Soul Amulet and the Vitality Blade. The mod page says the Vitality Blade gains attack damage from your heart canisters, at 2 per canister. That is the mod's description, and the sources don't confirm that this pack changes it.[1][3]
How does Baubley Heart Canisters work?
4 parts
The sources describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for this mod. It is a Curios-based item mod: you collect hearts, craft them into canisters, and carry them in an amulet. This section covers how those pieces fit together.[1]
Where hearts come from
By the mod's own description, each heart colour has its own source. Miniature Red Heart drops from hostile mobs, Miniature Yellow Heart from boss mobs such as the Wither, Miniature Green Heart from the Ender Dragon, and Miniature Blue Heart from Wardens on 1.19 and later. The Warden has also been changed to drop Echo Shards, which makes them renewable.[1][3]
Each higher tier of heart can also be crafted from the previous tiers. In their melted forms, hearts can be converted between colours, and smelting a Miniature Blue Heart gives you a Melted Blue Heart.[1][3]
Smelting a Miniature Blue Heart gives a Melted Blue Heart.
The canister chain
Canisters upgrade one tier at a time. You start with the base Canister, then build up through red, yellow, green and blue. Each higher canister recipe takes the canister of the tier below, plus the matching Miniature Heart.[3]

The Soul Amulet works like the Heart Amulet but can also hold Soul Heart Canisters. Those act like Totems of Undying: they heal you back to max health, and once consumed they revert to Blue Heart Canisters. You craft the Soul Amulet from a Heart Amulet and a Soul Heart Crystal.[1][3]

Using canisters in gear
The Vitality Blade is a sword that uses Heart Canisters to gain attack damage. Each canister increases the attack damage by 2. Sneak and right click to open it. Its recipe uses a Soul Amulet and a Soul Heart Crystal, so finish the amulet step first.[1][3][4]

Unverified The mod page says heart drops, the amulet's curio type and the starting health are configurable, but the sources here include no config files for this mod. The pack's actual values for those settings are set in the mod's config and are not shown here.
How do you progress through Baubley Heart Canisters?
6 parts
The recipes set the order here. The path runs through the canister tiers in this order: Red Heart Canister, Yellow Heart Canister, Green Heart Canister, Blue Heart Canister and finally Soul Heart Canister. Each tier is built from the canister before it, so you can't skip ahead.[3]
Unverified The pack's quest book has no quests for this mod, so there is no quest-guided order. The path below follows the in-pack recipes only.
Red tier
Everything starts with the basic Canister. The Red tier also needs a Relic Apple and wither bones, and the pack has its own recipe for the Wither Bone. The recipe blocks below show exactly what goes into each one.[3]

Miniature and melted hearts
Each higher tier also needs a Miniature Heart of its own colour. You make one by combining a Melted Heart of that colour with another heart, and you get a Melted Heart by smelting a Miniature Heart of the same colour. Melted Hearts also convert between neighbouring colours: red and yellow convert both ways, yellow and green convert both ways, and green and blue convert both ways.[3]
