Baubley Heart Canisters is a mod in All the Mons 1.3.0, where it is version 1.21.1-1.4.1. This mod adds back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters in a new and reimagined way to become Baubles/Curios! (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is Baubley Heart Canisters?

3 parts

Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, reimagined as Baubles/Curios items. This pack includes version 1.21.1-1.4.1 of the mod. It's for you if you like extra health and a progression of boss-drop upgrades that you carry in accessory slots.[1][2]

You need Curios installed for the mod to work. Mantle is optional but recommended.[1]

The four heart tiers

All of these drops are configurable. You can also craft each tier from the previous tiers. The mod page recommends checking JEI or a similar recipe viewer for the exact recipes.[1]

Amulets, blades and extras

The Heart Amulet holds all your Heart Canisters in a single slot, and its Bauble/Curio type is configurable. The Soul Heart Amulet works the same way but can also hold Soul Heart Canisters. Those act like Totems of Undying that heal you back to max health, then revert to Blue Heart Canisters once used.[1]

The Vitality Blade is a sword that gains attack damage from your Heart Canisters, with each canister adding 2. The mod also adds the Relic Apple, which gives Haste II, Strength II and Resistance II for one minute, and it changes the Warden to drop Echo Shards, which makes them renewable.[1]

Where it fits in this pack

The four hearts are part of the Legendaries chapter of the quest book, in the Paldea group. The quest "Terapagos" quest (Terapagos) comes after The Summoning Altar. In it, you set a Life Orb on the altar and offer the blue, yellow, red and green hearts to wake Terapagos. Start farming those boss and mob drops early if you're heading that way.[3]

Unverified This mod has no in-jar guidebook that we could check, so anything beyond the mod page and the quest above is unconfirmed for this pack.

How do you get started with Baubley Heart Canisters?

4 parts

Baubley Heart Canisters brings back the old Tinkers' Construct heart canisters, this time as Curios-slot items. Curios is required for the mod to work, so make sure it's installed. Here's the order I'd tackle things in.[1]

Step 1: Collect your first hearts

Everything starts with hearts. Miniature Red Heart drops from hostile mobs, Miniature Yellow Heart from boss mobs such as the Wither, Miniature Green Heart from the Ender Dragon, and Miniature Blue Heart from Wardens in 1.19 and later. The mod makes all of these drops configurable.[1][4]

Tip: Hold SHIFT while looking at an item to see its drop info in the tooltip. Use that to check how a heart drops in this pack.[5]

Step 2: Make a Canister and your first Red Heart Canister

The plain Canister is the base piece, and you'll need it for your first canister.[4]

Your first heart canister is the Red Heart Canister, and two crafting items come into play on the way: the Relic Apple and the Wither Bone. The Wither Bone drops from Wither Skeletons and can also be crafted. Those two recipes are below, followed by the canister itself.[1][4]

Step 3: Craft a Heart Amulet

The Heart Amulet holds all your heart canisters in one slot, which saves you a lot of Curios space. Right click it to open it. Its Curios slot type can be changed in-game or in the config file.[1][5]

Step 4: Climb the tiers

Each tier of heart can also be crafted from the previous tiers, and the canister recipes follow the same ladder. In this pack the order is Red, Yellow, Green, then Blue. Yellow needs a Red Heart Canister, Green needs a Yellow one, and Blue needs a Green one.[1][4]

  1. Yellow Heart Canister: the next step up from your Red Heart Canister.[4]
  2. Green Heart Canister: built on the Yellow Heart Canister.[4]
  3. Blue Heart Canister: built on the Green Heart Canister.[4]

Your next goal after the hearts is the Soul Heart Crystal. It is a crafting item used in making the Soul Amulet and the Vitality Blade.[1][4]

Tip: Keep a spare of each heart type. The quest "Terapagos" quest asks for a Miniature Blue, Yellow, Red and Green Heart as part of summoning Terapagos.[3]

How does Baubley Heart Canisters work?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

The sources describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for this mod. It is a Curios-based item mod: you collect hearts, craft them into canisters, and carry them in an amulet. This section covers how those pieces fit together.[1]

Where hearts come from

By the mod's own description, each heart colour has its own source. Miniature Red Heart drops from hostile mobs, Miniature Yellow Heart from boss mobs such as the Wither, Miniature Green Heart from the Ender Dragon, and Miniature Blue Heart from Wardens on 1.19 and later. The Warden has also been changed to drop Echo Shards, which makes them renewable.[1][6]

Each higher tier of heart can also be crafted from the previous tiers. In their melted forms, hearts can be converted between colours, and smelting a Miniature Blue Heart gives you a Melted Blue Heart.[1][6]

The canister chain

Canisters upgrade one tier at a time. You start with the base Canister, then build up through red, yellow, green and blue. Each higher canister recipe takes the canister of the tier below, plus the matching Miniature Heart.[6]

Using canisters in gear

The Vitality Blade is a sword that uses Heart Canisters to gain attack damage. Each canister increases the attack damage by 2. Sneak and right click to open it. Its recipe uses a Soul Amulet and a Soul Heart Crystal, so finish the amulet step first.[1][6][7]

How do you progress through Baubley Heart Canisters?

3 parts

Baubley Heart Canisters is a ladder of upgrades. You start with a plain Canister, climb through the red, yellow, green and blue heart canisters, and finish with the Soul Heart Canister. Each canister is built from the one before it, so you can't skip a rung.[4]

The canister tiers

The base canister is your entry point, and everything else grows from it.[4]

Getting the hearts

Every heart canister needs a matching miniature heart (Miniature Red Heart, Miniature Yellow Heart, Miniature Green Heart and Miniature Blue Heart), so hearts are your real bottleneck. In this pack you can smelt a miniature heart into its melted form, and a melted heart is what the miniature heart recipe is built around.[4]

Smelting

Recipe id: bhc:red_heart_melted_from_smelting

Tip: Melted hearts can be converted between colors, so a spare heart of the wrong color isn't wasted. Smelt it, then use the melted-heart conversion recipes, for example the green to blue one below.[4]

Crafting Shaped

9 × Melted Green Heart

Recipe id: bhc:blue_heart_melted_from_green_heart_melted

The pack's quest book also asks for these hearts. In the Legendaries chapter, the Paldea quest "Terapagos" quest wants the blue, yellow, red and green hearts, and its text describes them as taken from the world's mightiest foes. It comes after The Summoning Altar, so have your hearts ready before you get there.[3]

Belts and soul gear

Heartpulse belts follow the same ladder as the canisters. The Red Heartpulse Belt is a normal crafting recipe that uses the red canister. The yellow, green and blue belts are smithing upgrades of the belt below them, and each also consumes canisters.[4]

The other branch starts at the Soul Heart Crystal, which is crafted from the miniature hearts of all the colors plus an amethyst shard and an echo shard. The crystal feeds into the Soul Amulet, the Vitality Blade and the Vigor Bow.[4]

How does Baubley Heart Canisters work with other mods?

1 part

Baubley Heart Canisters connects to the rest of the pack through one thing: the Terapagos summoning. The pack uses the mod's four Miniature Hearts as offerings in a Cobblemon ritual, so your heart collecting pays off on the Pokémon side of the pack.[3][4]

Terapagos summoning ritual

The pack adds a Summoning Rituals altar recipe that combines Miniature Blue Heart, Miniature Green Heart, Miniature Red Heart and Miniature Yellow Heart with a Life Orb. The result is a Cobblemon Pokémon model, which is how the quest chapter gets you Terapagos. This recipe is added by the pack, not by either mod.[3][4]

Pokemon ModelAdded by the pack

Altar (summoningrituals)

Recipe id: allthemons:terapagos

This ritual is performed on the Summoning Rituals altar and is a recipe added by the pack.

The matching quest is "Terapagos" quest in the Legendaries chapter. It comes after The Summoning Altar quest. Its story text tells you to set the Life Orb on the altar and offer the four colored hearts, taken from the world's mightiest foes.[3]

The quest also lists items from several other mods, plus a Terapagos crystal item from the pack itself. The story text says you need to raise the crystal frame the ritual calls for before you begin.[3]

Which All the Mons quests use Baubley Heart Canisters?

2 parts

In this pack, the only quest we can confirm that involves Baubley Heart Canisters is in the Legendaries chapter. It's the Paldea quest "Terapagos" quest, and it uses all four of the mod's colored hearts.[3]

Terapagos

The quest story is that Terapagos lies dormant as a crystal. You set a Life Orb on the altar, offer the four colored hearts, raise the crystal frame the ritual calls for, and begin. The Stellar Pokémon then emerges from its shell.[3]

The quest asks for these hearts, which the quest text says come from the world's mightiest foes:[3]

The task list also includes a Life Orb, several items from other mods, and the Terapagos crystal. It ends with a custom task as well.[3]

Where it sits in the order

This quest comes after The Summoning Altar and one other quest. Finish those first, because Terapagos won't unlock until both are done.[3]

Unverified The source gives the other prerequisite only as the ID 0B05185B65E41DEA, so its name is unconfirmed. The source also doesn't say what the custom task requires, or whether any other chapter uses this mod's items.

What changed in Baubley Heart Canisters between versions?

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Baubley Heart Canisters 1.21.1-1.4.1, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]

  • 1.4.1: Fixed a looping case with other mods that revive the player. The changelog names Draconic and the Undying Module as examples. This is the version your pack runs.[2][8]
  • 1.4.0: The in-game config was enabled, and heal amounts and cooldowns for heart patches became configurable.[9]
  • 1.3.1: Fixed a bug where the bonemeal recipe was replaced with wither bone, instead of wither bone being added as an alternative.[10]

Since the pack is on 1.4.1, every change listed above is already included in your game.[2][8][9][10]
