Which Cyclic config options matter?
5 parts
Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide
Cyclic keeps its gameplay settings in config/cyclic.toml and its visual settings in config/cyclic-client.toml. The pack's files only quote a mod default for a few options, so only a handful of values can be confirmed as unchanged. Everything below is the value this pack actually uses.[1][2]
Energy and storage
- cyclic.blocks.battery.capacity is 6,400,000, which matches the default quoted in the file. The clay battery (cyclic.blocks.battery_clay.capacity) is 16,000, also matching its quoted default.[1]
- cyclic.blocks.battery.charge is 8,000 RF/t, the charging rate for the battery item slot.[1]
- Energy cables hold a buffer of 32,000 (cyclic.blocks.cables.energy.buffer) with a flow of 1,000 (cyclic.blocks.cables.energy.flow). The buffer must not be smaller than the flow.[1]
- Fluid cables flow 1,000 units per tick (cyclic.blocks.cables.fluid.flow), and cyclic.blocks.cables.fluid.buffer is 16 buckets per direction.[1]
- The food generator makes 60 RF/t (cyclic.blocks.generator_food.rf_per_tick) and the fuel generator makes 80 RF/t (cyclic.blocks.generator_fuel.rf_per_tick).[1]
- The solar generator has a base output of 4 (cyclic.blocks.generator_solar.energy) every 60 ticks (cyclic.blocks.generator_solar.ticks).[1]
Machine power costs
- Miner: 10 (cyclic.blocks.miner.energy_cost).[1]
- Forester: 50 (cyclic.blocks.forester.energy_cost).[1]
- Harvester: 250 (cyclic.blocks.harvester.energy_cost).[1]
- Uncrafting costs 1,000 power per use (cyclic.blocks.uncraft.energy_cost) and each uncraft takes 60 ticks (cyclic.blocks.uncrafter.ticks).[1]
- Teleporting costs 400 per use (cyclic.blocks.teleport.energy_cost), or 8,000 when crossing dimensions (cyclic.blocks.teleport.energy_cost_xdim).[1]
The uncrafter ignores NBT matching only if cyclic.blocks.uncrafter.nbt_ignored is true. In this pack it is false, so damaged or enchanted items will not uncraft. The pack also fills the uncrafter's ignore lists with several recipes and items from other mods, set in cyclic.blocks.uncrafter.ignore_list and cyclic.blocks.uncrafter.ignore_recipes.[1]
Mob control and farming
The peace candle prevents spawns within a radius of 32 (cyclic.blocks.peace_candle.radius) and a height of 4 (cyclic.blocks.peace_candle.height). The no soliciting block uses the same values (cyclic.blocks.no_soliciting.radius and cyclic.blocks.no_soliciting.height).[1]
Terra preta gives crops a 0.5 chance to grow (cyclic.blocks.terra_preta.growth_chance) every 100 ticks (cyclic.blocks.terra_preta.growth_interval), up to 8 blocks above the soil (cyclic.blocks.terra_preta.height).[1]
Enchantments, potions and extras
- Every Cyclic enchantment listed in the file is enabled.[1]
- Last Stand has a cooldown of 6,000 ticks (cyclic.enchantment.laststand.cooldown) and a base XP cost of 5,000 at level 1 (cyclic.enchantment.laststand.xp_cost).[1]
- Beheading has a base head drop chance of 2 percent (cyclic.enchantment.beheading.percent), plus 10 per extra level (cyclic.enchantment.beheading.per_level).[1]
- cyclic.potion.flight.enabled is false, which per the file comment disables the base recipe for that potion. All the other listed Cyclic potions are enabled.[1]
- The heart item cap (cyclic.items.heart.maximum) is 100, including your initial 10.[1]
- Cyclic's flower world generation (cyclic.worldgen.flowers.enabled) is off.[1]
- cyclic.blocks.text.FluidContents is true, which per the file comment hides the fluid contents chat message when you right click blocks like the tank or sprinkler.[2]
Commands
The home (cyclic.command.home), health (cyclic.command.health) and hunger (cyclic.command.hunger) /cyclic commands are set to true, which means only OPs can use them. The dev (cyclic.command.dev), gethome (cyclic.command.gethome) and ping (cyclic.command.ping) commands are false, so anyone can use those.[1]
