What is Bosses of Mass Destruction?

1 part

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

This pack includes Bosses of Mass Destruction 1.1.2, in the file BOMD-Forge-1.20.1-1.1.2.jar. It was already in the pack by 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[1]

The sources I have don't describe what the mod's content does, and there is no in-jar guidebook to draw on. So this page sticks to what the pack's quest book shows: where the mod's items turn up.[1][2]

Where the quest book puts it

The mod's items appear in the chapter "ProjectE Philo Stone", which sits in the "Production" group and is chapter 33 of 44 in the book. The chapter has 113 quests. Four of them aren't shown in my sources, so check the quest book itself for those.[2]

Two items from this mod are asked for. The Soul Star has a quest that wants 4 of them (a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}"). It also has four single-item quests, and each is listed as coming after a quest with the same name, for example a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}". The Blazing Eye has a single quest (a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}"), followed by a second one with the same name (a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}").[2]

The chapter is a mix of items from many mods, not just this one. Next to the mod's items you'll find quests for things like the Ur-Ghast Trophy (a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}") and several Cataclysm eyes, such as a quest in "{ftbquests.chapter.projecte.title}". The sources don't say which chapters sit directly before or after it in the book.[2]

Which Bosses of Mass Destruction config options matter?

5 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

Everything for the bosses lives in one file, generalConfig.tableOfElevationRadius and the boss sections beside it. Below are the values this pack sets, boss by boss, so you know what you're walking into.[3]

The Lich

The Gauntlet

Obsidilith

Void Blossom

Everything else

The table of elevation radius is 3 in this pack (generalConfig.tableOfElevationRadius).[3]

Unverified The sources only list the values this pack uses, not the mod's defaults, so it is unverified which of these numbers the pack changed from the mod's own defaults.

Written from what Project Infinity 0.1 itself ships: its files and recipes, the in-game guidebooks and the mods' own pages. Every statement links to the source it came from, and the numbers are checked against the pack before publishing.
