What is Jonn's Trophies?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.0 guide
Jonn's Trophies is included in this pack as version 1.21.1-2.5.0, and it has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[1]
Unverified We don't yet have reliable details on what Jonn's Trophies does, who it's aimed at, or which items and blocks it adds. Your best bet for now is to look it up in-game with a recipe viewer. This site does hold FTB StoneBlock 4's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Unverified Jonn's Trophies doesn't appear to be on the ATM Star path or in any of this pack's quests, so it's probably an optional side feature rather than part of the main progression.
How do you get started with Jonn's Trophies?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The only detail I can confirm for this mod is a JEI display with the text "Any item can go here". It suggests that one of the mod's JEI entries has a slot where any item is accepted.[2]
Unverified The sources here do not show any recipe that produces this mod's items, and they do not show any quest in this pack that involves the mod. Because of that, this section has no recipe blocks and no first-items order.
How does Jonn's Trophies work?
5 parts
Jonn's Trophies has no machines, multiblocks, power or fluid systems. Everything it does revolves around one block, the Trophy, so this section covers how trophies drop, how they are placed on a base, and how you adjust them.[3][4]
How trophies drop
Trophies drop when a player kills something. General.dropFromMobs is on, but the pack sets General.dropChanceMobs to 0 (the mod default is 0.02). Ordinary mobs will not give you a trophy in this pack.[4]
Bosses are different. General.dropChanceBoss is 0.2, the same as the mod default. The mod's own drop rate data also lists the Ender Dragon with a drop rate of 1.0.[4][5]
Player kills are off. General.dropFromPlayers is false (the config marks it as work in progress), and General.dropChancePlayers is set to 0 here instead of the mod default of 1.[4]
- General.applyLooting is true, so the Looting enchantment increases the drop chance.[4]
- General.allowFakePlayer is false, so fake players (machines) cannot earn trophy drops. You have to make the kill yourself.[4]
Bases
Trophies sit on a base block. The mod's trophy_base tags, for both blocks and items, contain the slabs tag. Trophies dropped from a kill use General.defaultBaseBlock, which is a smooth stone slab in this pack.[4][6][7]
The default Y offset is tied to the base. The config says to use 1.0 for a full block, 0.5 for slabs and 0.1 for carpets. The pack keeps General.defaultYOffset at 0.5 to match the slab base.[4]
Adjusting a trophy
The trophy screen lets you change its size, its Y offset, its rotation and its pose (standing, sitting or flying). Press Apply to confirm your changes.[3]
Only operators can do this. General.allowNonOpEdit is false, so other players cannot change a trophy's settings on a server.[4]
- General.defaultScale: trophies dropped from mobs start at a size of 0.5, the mod default.[4]
- General.maxSize: the maximum size multiplier is 20, the mod default.[4]
- General.maxYOffset: the maximum Y offset is 2,000, the mod default.[4]
Per-mob display settings
The mod ships a properties data map that gives certain mobs their own offset, rotation and scale. Entries for other mods only apply when that mod is loaded. Here are a few examples from it.[8]
- Ender Dragon: offset 0.8, rotation 180.0, scale 0.1.[8]
- Ghast: offset 1.4, rotation 0.0, scale 0.4.[8]
- Glow Squid: offset 0.7, rotation 70.0, scale 0.4.[8]
- Hydra from The Twilight Forest: offset 0.5, scale 0.4.[8]
- Ur-Ghast from The Twilight Forest: offset 1.4, scale 0.4.[8]
Breaking and moving trophies
When you break a trophy, it drops as a Trophy that keeps its custom name and custom data, so your settings should come with it when you pick it up.[9]
Unverified The General.nbtMap option is empty because it moved to a data map at data/trophymanager/data_maps/entity_type/nbt_map.json. The sources here do not show that file's contents, so what it sets per mob is unverified.
How do you progress through Jonn's Trophies?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.2 guide
This one is short, because the mod data I can see doesn't describe a progression ladder. What it does show is how trophies work, and that's worth knowing before you start collecting.[10][11][12]
What the data shows
- When you break a placed Trophy, it drops itself and keeps its custom name and custom data, so a trophy you've set up doesn't lose its contents when you pick it up.[10]
- Any slab works as the base of a trophy, both as a block and as an item.[13][14]
- The Ender Dragon has a drop rate of 1.0 in the mod's drop rate map, and it is the only mob listed there.[11]
- Each supported mob has its own display settings for offset, rotation and scale. The Ender Dragon, for example, is shown with an offset of 0.8, a rotation of 180.0 and a scale of 0.1.[12]
- Entries for mobs from other mods, such as Ice and Fire dragons or the Twilight Forest Hydra, only apply when that mod is loaded.[12]
Unverified No tier system, quest chapter or crafting recipe for trophies could be confirmed from the available sources, so this guide doesn't describe a progression path for the mod.
Which Jonn's Trophies config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 guide
Everything for Jonn's Trophies lives in one file, General.dropChanceMobs and its neighbors under the General section. This pack changed the mob and player drop chances from the mod defaults, and both affect how you get trophies.[15]
What this pack changed
- General.dropChanceMobs is set to 0 in this pack. The mod default is 0.02. This is the drop chance when a player kills a normal mob, so you should not expect trophies from regular mobs here.[15]
- General.dropChancePlayers is set to 0 in this pack. The mod default is 1. The range for this option is 0.0 to 1.0.[15]
Boss drops and looting
General.dropChanceBoss is 0.2, the same as the mod default. General.applyLooting is true, so the Looting enchantment increases the drop chance.[15]
Permissions and machines
- General.allowFakePlayer is false, so fake players (machines) don't get trophy drops.[15]
- General.allowNonOpEdit is false, so only opped players can change a trophy's settings.[15]
Appearance defaults
Trophies dropped from mobs use General.defaultBaseBlock, set to minecraft:smooth_stone_slab. General.defaultScale and General.defaultYOffset are both 0.5, which matches the mod defaults.[15]
If you change the base block, adjust the Y offset to match. The config comment suggests 1.0 for a full block, 0.5 for slabs and 0.1 for carpets.[15]
The limits are unchanged from the mod defaults: General.maxSize is 20 and General.maxYOffset is 2,000.[15]
