What is Chisel Reborn?
Chisel Reborn is a building and decoration mod. It adds lots of blocks that are variations of vanilla blocks, so you can give your base a lot more variety than the plain vanilla palette allows.[1]
The pack ships Chisel Reborn 1.3.2, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been part of the pack since its first release or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
This mod is for you if you like making your builds look good. It's about cosmetics and block variety, and it's a mod to pick up when you want your base to look the way you imagine.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't show where Chisel Reborn fits in the pack's progression, whether it is on the ATM Star path, or whether any quests involve it. Treat it as an optional building mod until that's confirmed. The exact recipes, GUI details and block variants in this pack are also unconfirmed here.
How do you get started with Chisel Reborn?

Chisel Reborn adds lots of blocks that are variations of vanilla blocks, and the chisel is how you swap between those variations. So the order here is simple: make the chisel first, get some blocks to practise on, then learn the modes and the extra tools.[1][3]
Step one: make the Chisel
Start with the Chisel. The pack has a recipe for it, and the block below shows the exact in-pack version.[4]

The tooltips cover the basic controls. Left-click blocks to cycle variants forward, and Shift + Left-click to cycle backwards. Shift + Right-click changes the chisel mode, and Right-click opens the GUI. In the GUI you can set a target so you chisel straight to a specific variant.[3]
Step two: grab some blocks to chisel
The pack has recipes for chisel blocks such as Marble Block - Raw, Limestone Block - Raw and Brownstone Block - Raw. They are handy for practising, because you can cycle through their variants with your new chisel.[3][4]

Brownstone is worth a look because its tooltip says walking on it increases your speed. The tooltip for Holystone - Holystone says it emits a holy glow and sparkles.[3][4]

Modes let you chisel more than one block at a time. These are the ones the mod describes:[3]

- Column: chisel a 3x1 column of blocks.[3]
- Panel: chisel a 3x3 square of blocks.[3]
- Contiguous: chisel an area of alike blocks, extending 10 blocks in any direction.[3]

The Ender Offset Wand works like this: Right-click a block to cycle its texture offset, and Sneak + Right-click to reset the offset.[3]
How does Chisel Reborn work?

Chisel Reborn is mostly about turning one block into its many look-alike variants. The sources for this pack don't describe any power, fluid or multiblock systems, so this section covers what they do confirm: how the chisel's modes, targeting and offset tools work.[1][3]
Chiseling modes
The tooltips say you change mode by holding Shift and right-clicking. The mode decides how many blocks change at once, so pick it before you start on a big wall or floor.[3]

- Row: chisels a 1x3 row of blocks.[3]
- Column: chisels a 3x1 column of blocks.[3]
- Panel: chisels a 3x3 square of blocks.[3]

Cycling and targeting variants
The tooltips describe two ways to pick a variant. The first is to left-click blocks to cycle through variants going forward, or Shift and left-click to cycle backwards.[3]
The second is to right-click to open the GUI and set a target there. The tooltip says this lets you chisel to a specific variant instead of stepping through the list.[3]
There is also a fuzzy mode, toggled with Ctrl, Shift and right-click. The sources only give the toggle, not what fuzzy mode changes, so test it yourself before relying on it.[3]
Texture offset
The offset tool changes how a block's texture lines up. Right-click a block to cycle its texture offset, or sneak and right-click to reset it. Use it to fix repeating patterns in large builds.[3]
Automation
The mod has an Auto Chisel, which is the only automation-related item in the sources. Here is its in-pack recipe.[4]

Unverified The sources don't explain how the Auto Chisel takes items in or out, whether it needs power, or how fast it works. There are also no Chisel Reborn config files in the sources, so no pack-specific values can be confirmed. Check the block in game before building automation around it.

Several decorative blocks have their own crafting recipes. Examples are Marble Block - Raw, Limestone Block - Raw, Cloud Block - Cloud and Voidstone Block - Bevel. Voidstone Bevel also has a second recipe, shown below.[4]

This is the purpur route to Voidstone Block - Bevel, and it is a shaped crafting recipe.
The andesite variants, such as Andesite Block - Braid and Andesite Block - Cuts, are made with stonecutting recipes.[4]
Unverified The sources here do not show any quest chapter for Chisel Reborn, so where the pack's quest book places it, and any quest-guided order for the tools, is unverified. Check the pack's quest book and the recipe viewer before you plan around an upgrade order. How does Chisel Reborn work with other mods?

The integration for Chisel Reborn in this pack is about upgrading chisels. Chisels from the mod are the base for upgraded chisels that need items from other mods. Every recipe involved is marked as changed by the pack, so these are the pack's own recipes and not mod defaults.[5]
Chisel upgrade paths
Each upgraded chisel is made from a specific Chisel Reborn chisel, so you don't craft it from scratch. These are the pairings:[5]
- Chisel upgrades into the Ferricore Chisel, using Ferricore Ingot.[5]
- Diamond Chisel upgrades into the Celestigem Chisel, using Celestigem.[5]
- iChisel upgrades into the Eclipse Alloy Chisel, using Eclipse Alloy Ingot.[5]
Every upgrade can be done at a smithing table or in the crafting grid. The smithing route also needs a matching template item: Template: Ferricore, Template: Celestigem or Template: Eclipse Alloy. The crafting grid route uses a Stick instead of a template.[5]
