What is BBL Routers?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.10.0-beta guide
BBL Routers is a wireless transport mod. It moves items, fluids and energy between inventories in your world without any pipes or cables between them.[1]
The three pieces
- The Importer attaches to the inventory you want to insert into.[1]
- The Exporter connects to the inventory you want to extract from.[1]
- The Router Connector links Importers to Exporters, and that link is what makes the transfer wireless.[1]
Both Exporters and Importers can be filtered for item stacks and for fluid stacks. Filters support dragging from JEI, so you don't have to hunt through menus to set them up.[1]
The mod also has integration with Mekanism gases and Ars Source, among others.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships BBL Routers 2.10.0, and the mod has been in the pack since version 0.0.11 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with BBL Routers?
4 parts
BBL Routers moves items, fluids and energy wirelessly. You put an Importer on the inventory you want to fill, an Exporter on the inventory you want to pull from, and link them with the Router Connector. Here is the order I'd build things in.[1]
Step 1: The Importer and the Exporter
Start with the Importer and the Exporter. The Importer attaches to the inventory you insert into, and the Exporter connects to the inventory you extract from. Neither does anything on its own, so you need both before anything moves.[1][3]
The pack changed both recipes, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. These are the in-pack versions:[4]

Step 2: Your first upgrade
Upgrades decide what kind of transfer the Exporter can do. For basic item transport, make the Item Upgrade I, which allows extraction of items from the Exporter. The pack changed this recipe too.[3][4]

Craft this one first. It also shows up in the recipes for the two filters later on, so you will use it again.[4]
Step 3: Link them with the Router Connector
Right click an Importer with the Router Connector to set its position, then right click an Exporter to link the two. Right click again to unlink.[3]
Step 4: Next steps
- Fluids use the Fluid Upgrade I, and Mekanism chemicals use the Chemical Upgrade I.[3][4]
- Energy transfer uses the RF Upgrade I.[3][4]
- With several Importers on one Exporter, add the Round Robin Upgrade. It distributes in order evenly between them.[3][4]
- The Speed Upgrade I sets how often the Exporter extracts, measured in ticks.[3][4]
- To filter what moves, craft the Tag Filter or the Mod Filter. Their recipes are the mod's own, not changed by the pack.[4]

How does BBL Routers work?
4 parts
BBL Routers moves items, fluids and energy wirelessly between inventories. There are three parts: the Importer sits on the inventory you want to insert into, the Exporter sits on the inventory you want to pull from, and the Router Connector links them.[1][3]
Linking Importers and Exporters
Neither block does anything alone. The Exporter extracts from its connected inventory into connected Importers, and the Importer inserts into the inventory it is attached to. Nothing moves until you link them.[3]
- Right-click an Importer with the Router Connector to store its position.[3]
- Right-click an Exporter with the Router Connector to link it to that Importer.[3]
- Right-click again with the Router Connector to unlink.[3]
The recipes for both blocks are changed by the pack, so use these rather than any mod default you remember:[4]

Upgrades decide what the Exporter can move
An Exporter with no upgrades moves nothing. Each upgrade unlocks one kind of transfer, and its tooltip shows the amount moved per operation.[3]
- Items: the Item Upgrade extracts items per operation. It comes in tiers from Item Upgrade I up to Item Upgrade IV.[3][4]
- Fluids: the Fluid Upgrade extracts fluids in mB per operation. It comes in tiers from Fluid Upgrade I up to Fluid Upgrade IV.[3][4]
- Mekanism chemicals: the Chemical Upgrade extracts in mB per operation, from Chemical Upgrade I up to Chemical Upgrade IV. The project page also mentions Mekanism gases.[1][3][4]
- Energy: the RF Upgrade extracts RF per operation, from RF Upgrade I up to RF Upgrade IV.[3][4]
- Ars Nouveau Source: the Source Upgrade extracts Source per operation, from Source Upgrade I up to Source Upgrade IV.[3][4]
- Industrial Foregoing Souls: the Soul Upgrade extracts Soul at 10 per operation. The Importer must be connected to a Soul Surge.[3][4]
- PneumaticCraft air: a Pressure Upgrade extracts air per operation, according to its tooltip.[3]
The tooltips show the per-operation amounts as a placeholder that depends on the tier, so the sources don't give actual numbers for each tier. Check the tooltip in game, and hold SHIFT for more info.[3]
Speed, distribution and range
- The Speed Upgrade controls how often the Exporter extracts, measured in ticks. It comes in tiers from Speed Upgrade I up to Speed Upgrade III, with Speed Upgrade II in between.[3][4]
- The Round Robin Upgrade makes the Exporter distribute evenly, in order, between multiple Importers.[3][4]
- The Dimensional Upgrade lets the Exporter extract to Importers in other dimensions.[3][4]
Filtering
Exporters and Importers can be filtered for both item stacks and fluid stacks, and you can drag stacks in from JEI. Filter slots show as empty Item/Fluid Filter slots.[1][3]
The Mod Filter opens with a right-click. Unlike the upgrades, its recipe is the mod's own and was not changed by the pack.[3][4]

Unverified No config files for this mod are in the pack, so the exact per-tier amounts, the speed intervals in ticks, and any range limits are unconfirmed. The Pressure Upgrade's recipe in this pack is also unconfirmed.
How do you progress through BBL Routers?
4 parts
BBL Routers has no quest line in this pack, so your progression is set by the crafting recipes. Almost every router recipe has been changed by the pack, so don't trust the mod's default recipes from other modpacks. Everything below follows what the pack actually uses.[4]
Unverified The sources I was given don't show any quest that involves these routers, so I can't confirm a quest-guided order. The tiers below follow the recipes only.
Step 1: the basic blocks
Start with the Importer and the Exporter. Both use an ender pearl, iron and logs, and the Importer also needs a hopper. That puts them early, with no Fortron-Infused Ingot or netherite needed.[4]

Step 2: the four upgrade tiers
Item, Fluid, RF, Speed, Chemical and Source upgrades each come in four levels, and every level follows the same pattern. Tier I and II use copper, iron and gold. Tier III adds a Fortron-Infused Ingot. Tier IV moves up to enderium and netherite materials.[4]
- Tier I: copper and iron materials. See Item Upgrade I, Fluid Upgrade I, RF Upgrade I and Speed Upgrade I. Chemical Upgrade I and Source Upgrade I are also iron-level, but they need items from other mods.[4]
- Tier II: gold takes over. See Item Upgrade II, Fluid Upgrade II, RF Upgrade II, Speed Upgrade II, Chemical Upgrade II and Source Upgrade II.[4]
- Tier III: every one of these recipes needs a Fortron-Infused Ingot, so this is the first real gate. See Item Upgrade III, Fluid Upgrade III, RF Upgrade III, Speed Upgrade III, Chemical Upgrade III and Source Upgrade III.[4]
- Tier IV: enderium is required, and most of these also use netherite. Fluid Upgrade IV and Speed Upgrade IV use netherite scrap, and the rest use netherite ingots. See Item Upgrade IV, RF Upgrade IV, Chemical Upgrade IV and Source Upgrade IV.[4]

Standalone upgrades
- Round Robin Upgrade is an early craft using redstone, copper and iron, with no Fortron-Infused Ingot.[4]
- Dimensional Upgrade needs a Fortron-Infused Ingot, an ender pearl and a Player Aerial Pearl from Powah.[4]
- Soul Upgrade needs a Soul Surge from Industrial Foregoing Souls and an echo shard.[4]

Filters
The Mod Filter and Tag Filter are the only recipes here that the pack left as the mod's own. Both are built from an Item Upgrade I, so you can make them as soon as you have a Tier I Item Upgrade.[4]

How does BBL Routers work with other mods?
4 parts
BBL Routers is built to work with other mods. The mod's own description mentions support for Mekanism gases and Ars Source, and the pack's recipes go further: many router upgrades need an item from another mod. Every recipe covered here has been changed by the pack, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[1][4]
Mekanism: chemical upgrades
All four tiers, Chemical Upgrade I through Chemical Upgrade IV, are built on Mekanism's Chemical Upgrade. Tiers I and II add an iron or gold ingot. Tier III uses a Fortron-Infused Ingot. Tier IV uses enderium and netherite ingots.[4]

Ars Nouveau: source upgrades
Moving Ars Source wirelessly uses the Source Upgrade line, Source Upgrade I to Source Upgrade IV. Every tier is crafted around an Source Gem Block. As with the chemical line, the extra material grows with the tier: iron, gold, then a Fortron-Infused Ingot with a diamond, and finally enderium with netherite.[1][4]

Fortron-Infused Ingot upgrades
The Fortron-Infused Ingot shows up in many of the pack's router upgrade recipes. These all use it:[4]
- Item Upgrade III, together with a diamond and a gold ingot.[4]
- Fluid Upgrade III, together with a Bucket and a gold ingot.[4]
- RF Upgrade III, together with Redstone and a diamond.[4]
- Speed Upgrade III, together with Redstone and an emerald.[4]
- Chemical Upgrade III and Source Upgrade III, as described above.[4]
- Dimensional Upgrade, covered in the next part.[4]
Powah and Industrial Foregoing Souls
The Dimensional Upgrade combines a Fortron-Infused Ingot, an Ender Pearl and Powah's Player Aerial Pearl.[4]

What changed in BBL Routers between versions?
FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships with BBL Routers 1.1.7 (the file is routers-1.21.1-1.1.7.jar). The router mod was first included in StoneBlock 4 1.1.1 or earlier, so it has been in the pack for a while.[5]
The mod has changelog entries for versions 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.4, 1.1.6 and 1.1.7. Unfortunately, those entries only point you to the mod author's Discord and to the changelog file in the mod's repository. They don't list any individual changes, so I can't tell you what each release added or fixed.[6][7][8][9][10]
Unverified What changed between BBL Routers 1.1.1 and 1.1.7 (new features, fixes or balance changes) is unverified, because the available changelogs contain no itemised entries. No pack changelog entry mentions this mod either.
