IntegratedCrafting is a mod in All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0, where it is version 1.1.4. Craft stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is IntegratedCrafting?

IntegratedCrafting is included in the pack at version 1.1.4. The file is IntegratedCrafting-1.18.2-1.1.4.jar, which means it is built for Minecraft 1.18.2.[1]

The pack's mod list is the only source I have for this mod, and it only confirms the version and file name. It doesn't say when the mod was added to the pack, beyond that it was there in this version or earlier.[1]

Unverified What the mod does, who it is for, and where it fits in the pack's progression are not confirmed by the available sources. There is no platform description or in-jar guidebook for this mod. No quests in the pack involve it, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path, so no progression gating is documented.

Tip: Until more details are confirmed, treat anything you remember about this mod from other packs or versions as unverified here. This pack ships version 1.1.4, so values and recipes may differ.[1]

How do you get started with IntegratedCrafting?

4 parts

IntegratedCrafting lets you craft things inside Integrated Dynamics networks, so your storage network can start crafting jobs for you. You only need two new parts to get going, and the order below is the one the mod's own advancements follow.[2]

Step 1: The Crafting Writer

Start with the Part Crafting Writer. This is the part that kicks off a crafting job, and it's the first thing you want because it's how you ask the network to make something.[2][3]

Step 2: The Crafting Interface

Next, make the Part Interface Crafting. It tells the network where and how things can be crafted. You point it at a machine, like a crafting table or a furnace, and it gets bound to that machine to handle recipes.[2][3]

Step 3: Teach it a recipe and run a job

Open the Crafting Interface GUI and insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. That tells the interface the recipe can be crafted using the bound machine. A good first test is Oak Planks: the mod has advancements for inserting a manually-created Oak Planks recipe into a Crafting Interface, and for using a Crafting Writer to start a crafting job for Oak Planks.[2]

  1. Craft a Crafting Writer.[2]
  2. Craft a Crafting Interface and point it at a crafting table.[2]
  3. Insert the Oak Planks recipe into the Crafting Interface.[2]
  4. Use the Crafting Writer to start a crafting job for Oak Planks.[2]
Tip: The crafting table is an exception: only a Crafting Interface is required to craft with it. For other machines, like a furnace, the interface won't import results on its own. You need an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine, or the machine has to output into the Crafting Interface.[2]

Good to know early

  • The interface works from the storage network contents provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces, and a job only counts as finished once the expected outputs show up in the storage network.[2]
  • Blocking mode is on by default, so the machine accepts one recipe at a time. You can turn it off in the settings GUI for machines that process several inputs in parallel.[2]
  • Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the interface lets you configure the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also set the target side separately for each ingredient type.[2]
  • If a job doesn't work, use the crafting-related aspects of the Network Reader to list available recipes, running jobs and missing ingredients. Display Panels help you visualize those lists.[2]

How does IntegratedCrafting work?

8 parts

IntegratedCrafting lets you craft stuff in Integrated Dynamics networks. It has no multiblocks. Everything works through two network parts, and the Crafting Interface does most of the heavy lifting.[2]

The Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting tells the network where and how things can be crafted. Point it at a machine, like a Crafting Table or a Furnace, and the interface is bound to that machine and handles recipes for it.[2][3]

Open its GUI and you can insert Variable Cards that hold recipes. Each card tells the interface that this recipe can be crafted with the bound machine.[2]

How a crafting job runs

  1. A crafting job is started, for example with the Crafting Writer. One or more Crafting Interfaces that have a recipe matching the job get used.[2]
  2. Each interface inserts all the recipe inputs into its bound machine. It takes them from the storage network contents, as provided by Integrated Tunnels interfaces.[2]
  3. The machine does its work, and the results have to find their way back into the storage network.[2]
  4. The interface tracks changes in the storage network and marks the job as completed only once the expected outputs are present there.[2]
Watch out: A Crafting Interface does not import crafting results from the bound machine. Getting the results back into the network is your job. You can place an active Integrated Tunnels importer on the machine, or let the machine output straight into the Crafting Interface. Anything inserted into the interface (items, fluids, energy) goes into the storage network for its configured channel. The Crafting Table is the exception: it only needs a Crafting Interface.[2]

Blocking mode and configuration

Blocking mode is on by default. The machine only accepts one recipe at a time and starts the next one once the previous one has completed. If your machine can process several inputs in parallel, turn blocking mode off in the interface's settings GUI. Then, for a multi-amount job, the machine processes as many inputs as it can.[2]

Like most Integrated Dynamics parts, the interface lets you configure the channel, priority and tick rate. You can also change the target side separately for each ingredient type. That helps when a machine takes items from the sides but fluids from the top.[2]

Spreading a job over several machines

With slow machines you can distribute one crafting job over several Crafting Interfaces. For example, you can split 40 iron ingots evenly over 10 furnaces. The only requirement is that every machine has a Crafting Interface exposing at least exactly the same recipe. In that example, all 10 furnaces need an interface holding the same iron ingot smelting recipe.[2]

Recipe feedback and special recipes

When you insert a Variable Card, you see either a green checkmark or a red cross, and you can hover over them for more info. A green checkmark means the card holds a valid recipe and the machine can probably handle it. A red cross means the card doesn't expose a valid recipe, or the bound machine can't craft it. Inserting a chest recipe into an interface bound to a furnace is a typical mistake it catches.[2]

Recipes can be fully dynamic, following the nature of Variable Cards. You could expose a recipe that changes with day or night, or with an item being available in the network. Interfaces detect updates automatically, and new jobs use the new recipe immediately. Jobs that are already running keep the old one. The more often a recipe changes, the more lag it can cause, so use this with caution.[2]

For recipes that don't fully consume an input, such as ones that only use up part of an item's durability, mark that ingredient as reusable. Shift-click the input slot in the Logic Programmer while creating the recipe card and enable the Reusable checkbox.[2]

The Crafting Writer

The Part Crafting Writer lets you start crafting jobs automatically, based on conditions you set, using the recipes that Crafting Interfaces expose.[2][3]

Crafting Shaped

The mod also adds write aspects that craft a given item, fluid, energy amount or recipe. There is a craft delay value too, described as only crafting if the ingredient is missing from storage for that duration.[2]

Debugging jobs

If a job doesn't work, the Network Reader has crafting aspects that list all available recipes, all running crafting jobs and all missing job ingredients. Show those lists on Display Panels to pinpoint the problem. If you have Integrated Terminals installed, the Crafting Job Terminal can show running jobs and missing ingredients, and it can cancel jobs.[2]

Pack config values

These are the values the pack sets in its IntegratedCrafting common config.[4]

Tip: If a recipe gets a red cross and you can't see why, check the server logs. With the pack's config, validation failures get logged there.[4]

How do you progress through IntegratedCrafting?

2 parts

IntegratedCrafting has no tiers of its own in this pack. The sources show only a pair of items you craft: the Part Crafting Writer and the Part Interface Crafting. Both come from plain shaped crafting recipes.[3]

First up: the Crafting Writer

This is the lighter recipe of the bunch. It builds on an Integrated Dynamics component, so it makes sense to be working with Integrated Dynamics before you get here.[3]

Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: integratedcrafting:crafting/part_crafting_writer

Next: the Crafting Interface

The interface recipe draws on more Integrated Dynamics components than the writer does. It also accepts any iron ingot from the iron ingot tag, so you are not tied to one specific mod's iron.[3]

Tip: Both recipes are built around Integrated Dynamics parts. Get that mod's progression sorted first and the IntegratedCrafting parts follow naturally.[3]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve IntegratedCrafting, and the sources here show no quest-guided progression for it. The order above comes only from the recipes themselves.

How does IntegratedCrafting work with other mods?

2 parts

In this pack, the only recipe link between IntegratedCrafting and another mod is Integrated Dynamics. The crafting parts of IntegratedCrafting are made from Integrated Dynamics components, so you need to be set up with that mod before you can make them.[3]

Crafting Writer

The Part Crafting Writer is built around the Output Variable Transformer and a Crafting Table. The recipe below is the one the pack uses.[3]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Interface

The Part Interface Crafting draws on more Integrated Dynamics items, including the Block of Crystallized Menril, the Input Variable Transformer and the Output Variable Transformer. Check the recipe below for the exact layout.[3]

Tip: Both recipes use the Output Variable Transformer, so it's worth crafting a few of them before you start on either part.[3]

Which IntegratedCrafting config options matter?

3 parts

IntegratedCrafting keeps all of its settings in one file, config/integratedcrafting-common.toml. There aren't many options, and these are the ones you're most likely to look at. Everything below is exactly how this pack sets it.[4]
