What is EvilCraft?
This pack ships EvilCraft at version 1.2.107, built for NeoForge (the jar is evilcraft-26.1.2-neoforge-1.2.107.jar). So everything in this guide describes that version, not other releases you may have seen in videos or elsewhere.[1]
The mod has been in the pack for a while: it was first included in version 0.0.6 or earlier.[1]
How do you get started with EvilCraft?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
This section starts with two of EvilCraft's advancements, "First Age" and "Second Age", then moves on to the Dark Tank, the spike and the gemstone torch.[2]
Step 1: Get Dark Gems
The first advancement, "First Age", asks you to discover the origins of the first evil age by mining some Dark Gem. The pack also has a crafting recipe for it, shown below.[2][3]
The pack's shapeless crafting recipe for the Dark Gem.
Step 2: Craft a Blood Extractor
Next is the "Second Age" advancement, which you initiate by crafting a Blood Extractor.[2]

Step 3: Make a Dark Tank
The Dark Tank is a container for fluids. The mod's in-game book says you can place it or hold it in your inventory, and that it looks like it can hold about sixteen buckets. Right-click a placed tank to let it auto-fill containers underneath it. Shift + right-click with the tank in hand, not aiming at a block, makes it try to fill any container you are holding.[2][3]
Step 4: Spikes and torches
According to the in-game book, the Spike is made from a Dark Gem and a piece of iron. It is very sharp and durable, and mobs don't seem to like it.[2]
The Gemstone Torch blocks Vengeance Spirit spawning in a radius of 15 blocks.[2][3]

- Dark Stick

What to skip and what comes later
Dull Dust is craftable, but the mod's book calls it a weird dust that doesn't seem very useful at the moment, so you can leave it for later.[2][3]
When you're ready for something bigger, the "Power Crafting" advancement asks you to craft an Exalted Crafter.[2]

How does EvilCraft work?
7 parts
EvilCraft is built around Blood: you gather it, store it in tanks and put it to work in its machines. This section covers what the mod's in-game text and the pack's own files confirm, so you can see how the pieces connect.[4]
Getting started with Blood
The mod's advancements mark two stages. Mining Dark Gems begins the first evil age, and crafting a Blood Extractor begins the second.[4]

Collecting blood from the world
- Blood Stain: a splash of Blood that forms when an entity falls to its death.[4]
- Sanguinary Pedestal: drains blood from blood stains in the area. The Powered Sanguinary Pedestal drains more.[4]
- Spiked Plate: damages mobs. Place it on a Pedestal to drain blood.[4]
- Hardened Blood: dried Blood that liquifies with rain or when you break it.[4]
Tanks and fluid handling
- Dark Tank: put it in the crafting grid with other tanks to increase capacity. Shift + Right click toggles auto-supply. The mod's info book says an active tank gets a purple-ish glow and fills tanks, item containers and players carrying containers underneath it.[4]
- Entangled Chalice: its contents are omnipresent, so chalices in the same group share them. Shift + Right click toggles omni-supply, and the tooltip shows which group a chalice belongs to.[4]
- Eternal Water Block: an infinite source of water. It has an auto-output mode that can be enabled or disabled.[4]
Storage and repair
The Blood Chest is described in game as doing item repairing. The Colossal Blood Chest is its industry-sized version.[4]

Environmental Accumulators
The Environmental Accumulator is found at Dark Temples and cannot be crafted. The Sanguinary Environmental Accumulator is the craftable version. When it cannot work, it tells you that tanks with Blood are required at certain locations.[4]
Dark Temples generate with a spacing of 40 and a separation of 16, at heights between 64 and 90. Their biome tag includes plains, deserts, swamps, forests and many more.[6][7][8]
Vengeance Spirits
- Capturing: use a Vengeance Focus to capture a Vengeance Spirit in a Box of Eternal Closure.[4]
- Spirit Furnace: cooks Vengeance Spirits to obtain their drops. It reports problems such as an empty or missing box, no more space for drops, and a mismatch between content size and required size.[4]
- Spirit Reanimator: revives Vengeance Spirits. It will not work with an invalid, empty or missing box, with a mob that has no spawn egg available, or when different mob eggs are present.[4]
- Gemstone Torch: blocks Vengeance Spirit spawning in a radius of 15 blocks.[4]
What this pack changes
The pack adds its own recipe for the Creative Blood Drop, so this one is not a mod default.[5]

Neo Vitae supplies a smelting recipe and a blasting recipe that both produce Dark Gem, and the pack adds both. A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe also gives Dark Gem, Crushed Dark Gem and Wax.[5]
With Curios API loaded, the pack tags the Vengeance Ring as a ring, and the Invigorating Pendant and Primed Pendant as charms, so they fit those slots.[9]
The pack also adds Dark Gem, Dark Block, Dark Power Gem and Dark Power Gem Block to the megacells:compression_overrides item tag.[10]
Unverified Machine speeds, tank capacities and Blood Infuser processing details are not shown in the sources here, and the pack provides no EvilCraft config files among them, so treat any such numbers as unverified for this pack.
How do you progress through EvilCraft?
3 parts
The recipes in this pack's EvilCraft data give you a few clear building blocks and a few places where the pack changes the mod. Everything below is what the in-pack recipes and loot tables confirm.[5]
Getting Dark Gems
Dark Gem is the core material for a lot of EvilCraft crafting. Besides the mod's own shapeless recipe, which makes 9 gems at a time, the pack adds two Neo Vitae recipes: one in a blasting furnace and one in a regular furnace, both turning Neo Vitae dark gem dust into a Dark Gem.[5]
Added by the pack: smelting route to a Dark Gem.
Added by the pack: the faster blasting route.
If you keep bees, there is a third route. A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe for a dark gem honeycomb gives you a Dark Gem, a Crushed Dark Gem and wax.[5]
The mod's own recipe makes 9 Dark Gems per craft.
Pack-added recipes
The pack adds a sawmill recipe from Productive Trees that turns 2 sawdust into 6 Undead Planks. This is marked in the recipe dump as added by the pack, not by EvilCraft.[5]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/evilcraft/crafting/undead_planks
The pack also adds a KubeJS recipe for the Creative Blood Drop. It costs 34,000 Blood.[5]

Blood machines and storage
The Blood Infuser, Blood Chest, Colossal Blood Chest and Dark Tank all copy their tank data onto the dropped item when you break them. These are the blocks that hold fluid.[11][12][13][14]

How does EvilCraft work with other mods?
4 parts
EvilCraft connects to a few other mods in this pack, mostly through Productive Bees, Productive Trees, Curios and the pack's own tag scripts. Here is what the pack's files actually show.[5][9][10]
Productive Bees
Productive Bees has its own EvilCraft bee. Its bee conversion recipe takes a Dark Block and gives you the Dark Gem bee, so Dark Gems can come from a hive instead of a mine.[5]
Bee Conversion (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:bee_conversion/evilcraft/dark_gem_bee

There is also a centrifuge recipe for the matching honeycomb. It gives you a Dark Gem, a Crushed Dark Gem and some Wax.[5]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/evilcraft/honeycomb_dark_gem
Centrifuge outputs: Dark Gem, Crushed Dark Gem and Wax.
Productive Trees
This one is a pack addition. The pack adds a Productive Trees sawmill recipe that turns Sawdust into Undead Planks. The recipe is below.[5]
Sawmill (productivetrees)
Recipe id: allthemods:productivetrees/sawing/evilcraft/crafting/undead_planks
Added by the pack, made in the Productive Trees sawmill.
Curios API
When both Curios API and EvilCraft are loaded, the pack's script puts some EvilCraft jewellery into Curios slots. The Vengeance Ring is added to the ring tag. The Invigorating Pendant and Primed Pendant are added to the charm tag.[9]
MEGA Cells
The pack's EvilCraft script adds Dark Gem, Dark Block, evilcraft:dark_power_gem and evilcraft:dark_power_gem_block to the megacells:compression_overrides item tag.[10]
