What is Reliquary Reincarnations?

Reliquary Reincarnations is included in the pack as version 2.0.62, shipped in the file reliquary-1.21.1-2.0.62.1310.jar.[1]

Unverified No available source describes what Reliquary Reincarnations adds, who it is aimed at, or where its items fit into the pack's progression, so those details are left out until they can be confirmed.

How do you get started with Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.14 guide

Many Reliquary recipes in this pack use components like Nebulous Heart, Catalyzing Gland, Molten Core, Slime Pearl and Rib Bone. So your first job is to spot which crafts need none of them and make those early. Here is the order I'd go in.[2]

Start with the Emperor's Chalice

The Emperor's Chalice is an infinite water bucket, and its recipe needs none of those components, so you can make it straight away. Be careful when drinking from it: that restores hunger in exchange for life.[2][3]

Collect Molten Cores and craft Magicbane

Molten Core is a Blaze or Magma Cube drop, and many recipes use it, so you will want plenty. Magicbane gets stronger with each enchantment and has a higher chance of getting Reliquary drops, so it is a great tool to build early.[2][3]

Set up potion making

The Apothecary Mortar grinds ingredients into potion essence, and the Apothecary Cauldron brews potions from that essence. The pack changed both recipes, so don't rely on defaults you remember from other packs.[2][3]

The pack also changed the Condensed Potion Vial recipe. Glowing Water has a second recipe that starts from the vial.[2]

Make Fertile Essence for farming

Fertile Essence feeds into several useful items. The Harvest Rod fertilizes with a right-click and breaks crops in an area. The Lilypad of Fertility speeds up crop growth, and the pack adds its own recipe for it.[2][3]

Work toward the Hunter's Handgun

The Hunter's Handgun fires with a right click and reloads when you hold the button. Its recipe builds on the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly and Hammer Assembly. The pack changed the handgun recipe and the recipes of those assemblies. The Empty Magazine recipe, also changed by the pack, uses no Reliquary components, so you can make it early.[2][3]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work?

6 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Going by the mod's tooltips and the pack's config, Reliquary Reincarnations isn't a big machine mod. Its systems are a handful of small, self-contained blocks: a sunlight altar, a mortar and cauldron for potions, pedestals that automate tools, and a couple of utility blocks. This section covers how each one works and what the pack's config sets for it.[4][5]

Altar of Light

The mod's in-game description says the Altar of Light turns redstone into glowstone. Right-click it with redstone until it activates. After some time a glowstone block appears on top of it.[4][6]

Watch out: The mod's description says the altar has to be in direct sunlight to work, so don't build it in a cave or under a roof.[4]

The pack's config matches the mod defaults here. Activating costs 3 redstone (blocks.altar.redstoneCost). Making the glowstone block takes 20 minutes (blocks.altar.timeInMinutes), plus a random extra of up to 5 minutes (blocks.altar.maximumTimeVarianceInMinutes). While active, the altar gives off light level 16 (blocks.altar.outputLightLevelWhileActive).[5]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: reliquary:alkahestry_altar

The Alkahestry Tome, which the mod describes as using its charge to duplicate items, is switched off in this pack (disable.alkahestryTome is true).[4][5]

Potion making: mortar and cauldron

The mod's descriptions explain that potions are made in stages. First you grind ingredients into potion essence in the Apothecary Mortar. You can combine several ingredients in the mortar. Then you brew the essences into potions in the Apothecary Cauldron. The potion system is enabled in the pack (disable.potion is false).[4][5][6]

The mod's description says the cauldron brews potion essences together with nether wart. To start, you need a lit fire underneath it and water inside. You then use empty potion vials to get the finished potion out.[4]

The pack changed the recipes for the mortar, the cauldron and the Condensed Potion Vial, so don't rely on what you remember from the base mod.[6]

Cooking a potion takes 160 (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime); the config doesn't state the unit. You can add up to 2 glowstone to make a potion more potent (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit) and up to 3 redstone to make it last longer (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit). These values match the mod defaults. The pack leaves the heat source list empty (blocks.apothecaryCauldron.heatSources).[5]

Pedestals

The pedestal is the mod's automation block, and its tooltip describes it as automating "stuff and things placed in it". The tooltip calls the passive pedestal a fancy display of items. Both are enabled in the pack (disable.pedestal and disable.passivePedestal are false).[4][5]

What a pedestal does depends on the item placed in it. The config shows these behaviors, all at mod-default values in the pack:[5]

Fertile Lily Pad

The Fertile Lily Pad speeds up crop growth. In the pack it causes growth ticks within a radius of 4 (blocks.fertileLilypad.tileRange), once every 10 seconds (blocks.fertileLilypad.secondsBetweenGrowthTicks). The ticks happen most often within a radius of 1 (blocks.fertileLilypad.fullPotencyRange). All three values are the mod defaults.[4][5]

Interdiction Torch

The Interdiction Torch's tooltip says it repels creatures and projectiles. In this pack, though, projectile pushing is turned off (blocks.interdictionTorch.canPushProjectiles is false), so expect it to work on mobs only. It pushes mobs out within a radius of 5 (blocks.interdictionTorch.pushRadius). The entity and projectile blacklists are empty.[4][5]

Destruction Catalyst

The mod's description says the Destruction Catalyst spends gunpowder to destroy "mundane" blocks, leaving every other block in place, and that blocks destroyed this way drop nothing. The pack's config lets it store the gunpowder.[4][5][6]

Crafting Shapeless

Recipe id: reliquary:destruction_catalyst

Each use costs 3 gunpowder (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderCost). The catalyst holds up to 250 (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderLimit), and each gunpowder you feed it adds 1 (items.destructionCatalyst.gunpowderWorth). The explosion radius is 1 (items.destructionCatalyst.explosionRadius). It is not centered on the clicked block (items.destructionCatalyst.centeredExplosion is false), and it carves a perfect cube (items.destructionCatalyst.perfectCube is true).[5]

The pack's mundane block list covers dirt, coarse dirt, podzol, mycelium, grass block, gravel, cobblestone, stone, granite, diorite, andesite, sand, sandstone, snow, soul sand, netherrack, end stone, deepslate and tuff (items.destructionCatalyst.mundaneBlocks).[5]

How do you progress through Reliquary Reincarnations?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Reliquary doesn't have a formal tier ladder in this pack. The only quest that touches it is a quest in "?" in the Apothic Spawners chapter, and it's about Charm Fragments. Everything else comes from how the in-pack recipes feed into each other, so this section follows that chain from the simplest crafts up to the big endgame-style items.[6][7]

Stage 1: Charm Fragments

The pack's quest tells you Mob Charm Fragment can be turned into Charms or Spawn Eggs. The fragments rarely drop from their respective mobs, but some of them can be crafted. The quest text says to take 2 and a normal Egg to craft a Spawn Egg.[7]

Every fragment recipe I can see (blaze, cave spider, creeper, enderman, ghast, guardian, magma cube, skeleton, slime, spider, witch, wither skeleton, zombie and zombified piglin) is changed by the pack. Each one builds on a mob-specific Reliquary drop, so don't assume the mod's default recipes apply. Here's the blaze one as an example:[6]

Stage 2: The Hunter's Handgun line

The Hunter's Handgun is a good first project because every part of it is changed by the pack. That covers the Barrel Assembly, Grip Assembly, Hammer Assembly and Empty Magazine recipes. Here's the barrel assembly, followed by the handgun itself:[6]

Ammo recipes are changed by the pack too, and several shots are upgrades of simpler ones: Exorcism Shot builds on Neutral Shot, Ender Shot on Seeker Shot and Buster Shot on Concussive Shot. Blaze Shot, Sand Shot and Storm Shot are not upgrades of another shot. Here's the Exorcism Shot:[6]

Stage 3: Utility crafting and potions

The pack changes the Apothecary Cauldron and Apothecary Mortar recipes. It also changes the Condensed Potion Vial, Fertile Potion and Aphrodite's Serum recipes. Other items have mod-default recipes in this pack, for example the Altar of Light, Angelic Feather, Magicbane and Holy Hand Grenade. Glowing Water feeds into the Holy Hand Grenade and Glowing Bread.[6]

Infernal items and the Hero's Medallion

This is the longest chain I can confirm. An Infernal Claw becomes Infernal Claws and an Infernal Tear. Those, together with an Emperor's Chalice, lead to the Infernal Chalice. The Hero's Medallion also needs an Infernal Tear, plus a Coin of Fortune. All of these keep the mod's default recipes in this pack.[6]

How does Reliquary Reincarnations work with other mods?

3 parts

Reliquary Reincarnations isn't an island in this pack! The pack adds its own recipes that tie Reliquary items into other mods' progression. There are three connections to know about, and each one turns a Reliquary item into something useful elsewhere or pulls other mods' materials into a Reliquary item.[8]

Withering Soul from a Witherless Rose

If you're pushing through Mystical Agradditions, your Witherless Rose is part of how you get a Withering Soul. This is a regular shaped crafting recipe that the pack added, and it also calls for a Wither Skeleton Skull. Check the recipe below for the exact layout.[8]

Lilypad of Fertility through Awakening

The Lilypad of Fertility runs through Mystical Agriculture in this pack. The pack added an Awakening recipe for it, so you'll need Mystical Agriculture's awakening setup rather than a crafting table. It's a genuine cross-mod item: it uses Reliquary's Fertile Essence, Mystical Agriculture's elemental essences, and a Vibranium Plate from Allthemodium. So plan on some Vibranium progress before you can craft this lily pad.[8]

Enchanted Soul from a Holy Hand Grenade

The pack also added a runic crucible recipe from Modern Industrialization that consumes a Reliquary Holy Hand Grenade. The output is Forbidden and Arcanus's Enchanted Soul, made from a Soul. Fluids are involved as well, including Liquid Aureal and Source Fluid, so you'll need those ready too.[8]

Tip: Each of these recipes consumes the Reliquary item, so keep extras of the Witherless Rose, Fertile Essence and Holy Hand Grenade around if you plan to use them in these other mods.[8]

Which Reliquary Reincarnations config options matter?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Reliquary Reincarnations keeps its settings in config/reliquary-common.toml. Every numeric option in this pack's copy of that file that lists a mod default is set to exactly that default, so the pack has not changed any of those numbers and you get the mod's stock balance. The real pack-level choices are the on/off switches below.[5]

Features the pack turns off or leaves on

Life-savers and protection

The Phoenix Down heals items.PhoenixDown.healPercentageOfMaxLife percent of your max life when it saves you, which is 100, and its items.PhoenixDown.hungerCostPercent is 25. It also removes negative statuses and gives temporary regeneration and damage resistance. The fire resistance and water breathing extras are on too, but they only apply when fire or drowning was what got you.[5]

The Angelheart Vial is the weaker option. Its items.angelheartVial.healPercentageOfMaxLife is 25 percent of your max life, and it also removes negative statuses.[5]

Mob charms have a items.mobCharm.durability of 80. Each kill of a mob a charm protects you from costs the amount set in items.mobCharm.damagePerKill, which is 1, and each special drop repairs the amount in items.mobCharm.dropDurabilityRepair, which is 20. In a pedestal, a charm works over the items.mobCharm.pedestalRange, which is 21.[5]

Storage limits worth knowing

Potion settings

The potion display options only control what shows up in creative tabs and JEI. potions.maxEffectCount is 1, while potions.redstoneAndGlowstone, potions.threeIngredients and potions.differentDurations are all false.[5]

In the apothecary cauldron itself, blocks.apothecaryCauldron.redstoneLimit is 3 and blocks.apothecaryCauldron.glowstoneLimit is 2, so you can add up to 3 redstone to make a potion last longer and up to 2 glowstone to make it more potent. blocks.apothecaryCauldron.cookTime is 160.[5]

What changed in Reliquary Reincarnations between versions?

1 part

All the Mods 10 5.0 ships Reliquary Reincarnations 2.0.62 (the file reliquary-1.21.1-2.0.62.1310.jar). The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.2 or earlier, and it has been updated steadily since then.[1]

Version bumps by pack release

Here is every update to the mod that the pack changelogs record, oldest first.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15]

  • All the Mods 10 2.36: updated from 2.0.45 to 2.0.47.[9]
  • All the Mods 10 2.42: updated from 2.0.47 to 2.0.48.[10]
  • All the Mods 10 4.5: updated from 2.0.48 to 2.0.56, the biggest jump in the list.[11]
  • All the Mods 10 4.6: updated from 2.0.56 to 2.0.57.[12]
  • All the Mods 10 4.7: updated from 2.0.57 to 2.0.58.[13]
  • All the Mods 10 4.11: updated from 2.0.58 to 2.0.61.[14]
  • All the Mods 10 4.13: updated from 2.0.61 to 2.0.62, which is the version still in 5.0.[1][15]

Unverified The pack changelogs only record version numbers, and there are no stored changelogs for the shipped jars. What changed inside each Reliquary Reincarnations update (new items, balance changes, fixes) is unverified, so check the mod's own release notes if you need that detail.
