What is Mystical Agriculture?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mystical Agriculture is all about growing your resources instead of digging for them. You plant crops that grow essences, then craft those essences into materials, mob drops, tools, armor and more. There are crops for tons of vanilla and modded materials plus mob drops, so you can farm pretty much anything, from Honey to Steel to Wither Skeletons.[1][2]
All the Mods 10 8.1 ships Mystical Agriculture 8.0.27, and the mod has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier. It's a great fit if you want steady, renewable resources without endless mining trips.[3]
How progression works
- Go mining for Prosperity Ore to get Prosperity Shard, a core crafting ingredient for the whole mod.[4]
- Turn your shards into Prosperity Seed Base. You need these to create resource crops.[4]
- Craft seeds on an Infusion Altar surrounded by Infusion Pedestal blocks. When you place the altar, it shows you where the pedestals go. Resource seeds need some of their matching resource plus the essence of the seed's tier.[1]
- Collect Inferium Essence, the base tier of all essences. You get it from mining, from killing mobs, or by growing Inferium Seeds. Essence Farmland like Inferium Farmland speeds the seeds up, and some seeds require a specific farmland.[4]
- Tier up with an Infusion Crystal. Combine it with 4 Inferium Essence to get 1 Prudentium Essence, and keep climbing the tiers toward Supremium.[1][4]
- Along the way, craft Essence tools and armor starting at Inferium. You can upgrade them to higher tiers and add Augments at the Tinkering Table. The mod has 6 sets of tools and armor in total.[1][4]
The ATM Star path
Mystical Agriculture has a spot in Chapter 3: The ATM Star, and the quest "Mystical Agriculture" quest warns you that you'll be doing a lot of farming with this mod to make the ATM Star. From there it branches into "Witherproof Bricks" quest, "Awakened Supremium Ingot Block" quest and "Master Infusion Crystal" quest.[2]
- Witherproof Bricks keep the Wither from breaking and blowing up your blocks. They work like Witherproof Blocks but look nicer.[2]
- Awakened Supremium Ingot Block comes from the Awakening Ritual. The ritual makes Awakened Essence, which you then combine with ingots.[2]
- Master Infusion Crystal does everything the regular crystal does, but with infinite uses. It can also upgrade 4 Blocks of Essence to the next tier in block form. It needs Supremium to make, but the quest says it's worth it.[2]
Unverified The sources don't say exactly how these items feed into the ATM Star recipe itself. Check the in-game quest book for the full chain.
How do you get started with Mystical Agriculture?
5 parts
Mystical Agriculture is all about growing your resources instead of mining them. You plant seeds, harvest essences, and turn those essences into materials, mob drops, tools and armor. The early game is short and very mining-focused, so here's the order that gets you farming fastest.[1]
Step one: go mining for Prosperity and Inferium
Your first job is underground. Prosperity Ore and Inferium Ore are the two things everything else is built on, so take a pickaxe and go digging.[1][5]
Inferium Essence is the base tier of every essence in the mod, and the pack's quest line starts right here. You can get it from mining, from killing mobs, or from growing it once you have seeds.[5]
Prosperity Shards are a core crafting ingredient throughout the mod, and the quest for them tells you exactly what to do: go mining.[5]

Step two: seed bases and the Infusion Altar
Once you have Prosperity Shards, make Prosperity Seed Base. You need seed bases to create any resource crop, so make a stack of them while you're at it.[1][5]
Seeds are made in the Infusion Altar surrounded by Infusion Pedestal blocks. Place the altar down first and it will show you where the pedestals go. In this pack the altar needs a redstone signal before the infusion will start.[1][5]
Step three: Inferium seeds and Essence Farmland
Your first seeds should be Inferium Seeds. They give you a renewable source of Inferium Essence so you can stop mining for it, and the quest line wants you growing Inferium as soon as possible.[1][5]
Pair them with Inferium Farmland. Essence Farmland isn't required to grow these seeds, but it increases their growth speed, and Inferium Seeds in particular benefit from it. You also get more Inferium Essence per harvest when they're planted on Essence Farmland. Keep in mind that some seeds later on require a specific farmland to be planted at all.[1][5]
You can craft Essence Farmland, or just right-click vanilla Farmland in-world to convert it.[1]
Step four: tier up your essence
To go beyond Inferium you need the Infusion Crystal. Combining the crystal with 4 Inferium Essence gives you 1 Prudentium Essence, and 4 Prudentium the same way gives Tertium Essence. Later on you can craft a Master Infusion Crystal that doesn't break.[5]
Normal resource seeds are made from some of their respective resource plus the tier essence matching that seed, so climbing the essence ladder is what unlocks the bigger crops.[1]
Quality of life worth grabbing early
- Watering Can: fill it by right-clicking a water source, then hold right-click on crops to water everything in its area. Essence tiers can auto-water, so shift-right-click in the air to toggle it, and the can looks enchanted while it's on.[5]
- Inferium Growth Accelerator: placed directly underneath farmland to slightly speed up growth, with a range of 9 blocks at this tier. Every tier gives the same growth rate; higher tiers just reach further, so you can stack more under one plant.[5]
- Mystical Fertilizer: works like bone meal but better, instantly growing whatever you use it on to full maturity.[5]
- Seed Reprocessor: converts spare essence seeds back into essences, so nothing goes to waste.[5]
From there the mod opens up: essence tools and armor starting at the Inferium tier, augments in the Tinkering Table, mob seeds via Soulium gear, and the Harvester for automation. The pack's quest chapter walks you through each of those in turn.[5]
How does Mystical Agriculture work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mystical Agriculture is built around growing your resources as crops. You infuse seeds, plant them, harvest essence and turn that essence into materials, mob drops, tools and armor. On top of that loop sit a few machines that speed up growth, harvest your fields, smelt, reprocess seeds, enchant and even spawn mobs. This section covers how those systems fit together in this pack.[1]
Infusion: how seeds are made
Seeds are crafted with an Infusion Altar and Infusion Pedestals. You don't need to memorise the layout: when you place the altar in the world, it shows you where the pedestals go. A normal resource seed needs some of its resource plus the tier essence that matches the seed. Mob seeds need Soul Jars filled with that mob type instead.[1]
In this pack, vanilla crafting-table recipes for seeds are not generated, so the altar is your route to new seeds. Crops also won't drop a second seed when you harvest them, so every extra copy of a seed has to come from infusion.[1][7]
To move essence up a tier, you need an Infusion Crystal. In this pack the basic Infusion Crystal has 500 uses, so keep a spare on hand if you're doing a lot of tier upgrades.[1][7]
The Awakening Altar and Awakened Supremium
Awakened Supremium is the high-end crafting material used to upgrade many of your Supremium items. You usually create it by infusing Cognizant Dust with a Supremium Block on an Awakening Altar. The altar works together with Awakening Pedestal blocks, and both use Soulstone in their recipes.[8][9]

Cognizant Dust comes from boss kills. The Wither and the Ender Dragon drop it when you kill them with an Essence Weapon enchanted with Mystical Enlightenment. This pack has both of those drops turned on.[7][8]
- General.witherDropsCognizant is true, so the Wither drops Cognizant Dust when killed with a Mystical Enlightenment essence weapon.[7]
- General.dragonDropsCognizant is true, so the Ender Dragon drops it too.[7]
- General.witherDropsEssence and General.dragonDropsEssence are both false, so neither boss drops essence when killed with an essence weapon.[7]
The Essence Vessel is another Awakening-tier block built from Soulstone, glass and gold.[9]

This pack changes two of the Awakened Supremium crafting recipes: the Awakened Supremium Ingot and the Awakened Supremium Gemstone. Both are shapeless recipes built from Awakened Supremium Essence, so check the recipes below instead of relying on older videos.[9]

Speeding up your crops
Growth Accelerators make the plant above them grow faster. In this pack, each accelerator growth tick is 10 seconds apart. Tiers go up to the Awakened Supremium Growth Accelerator. Watering Cans are the other way the mod speeds up crop growth.[1][7][8]

Essence Farmland gets you more Inferium Essence per harvest from Inferium Seeds. You can craft it, or right-click vanilla Farmland with an essence. That in-world conversion is turned on in this pack.[1][7]
Mystical Fertilizer instantly grows a crop or sapling. Resource crops can also drop Fertilized Essence when harvested. This pack sets that chance to 0.1 on a 0.0 to 1.0 scale.[7][8]
If you go all the way to endgame gear, a full set of Awakened Supremium armor grants a Plant Growth AOE set bonus, and that bonus is enabled in this pack.[7]
Machines and automation
- Harvester: harvests your fields automatically, so you don't have to run around with a Scythe or Sickle.[1]
- Essence Furnaces: upgradable furnaces for processing resources more effectively.[1]
- Seed Reprocessor: gets more out of your extra seeds.[1]
- Enchanter: spends your extra resource essences to enchant tools, armor or books.[1]
- Soulium Spawner: spends your extra mob essences to spawn mobs.[1]
- Machine Upgrades: items such as the Supremium Machine Upgrade and the Awakened Machine Supremium Upgrade raise a machine's operation speed.[8]

For hand-harvesting, the Diamond Scythe and Diamond Sickle let you farm crops more effectively than breaking them one at a time.[1][9]
Unverified The sources don't give machine power costs, exact operation speeds per upgrade tier, or item and fluid input/output behaviour. Check these in-game before designing a factory around them.
Collecting mob souls
Mob seeds need filled Soul Jars. To collect souls, keep Soul Jars in your inventory and kill mobs with a Soulium Dagger. Some dagger variants grant additional souls from hostile or from peaceful creatures, and the Soul Siphoner enchantment increases souls collected by 10 percent per level.[1][8]
How do you progress through Mystical Agriculture?
5 parts
Mystical Agriculture is a tiered mod: you start with the weakest essence, fold four of it together to get the next tier, and each tier you reach unlocks better farmland, better gear and a new batch of resource seeds. The quest chapter walks you through five essence tiers, Inferium, Prudentium, Tertium, Imperium and Supremium, before opening up the Awakening at the very end.[5][10]
Step one: Inferium and Prosperity
Inferium Essence is the base tier and the starting point for everything in the mod. The "Inferium" quest quest points you at three ways to get it: mining it, killing mobs, or making seeds and growing it yourself.[5]
The other half of your shopping list is Prosperity Shard, a core crafting ingredient you get by mining Prosperity Ore. Those shards become Prosperity Seed Base, which every resource crop needs.[5]
Enriching (mekanism)
- any inferium ore
Recipe id: allthemods:mekanism/enriching/inferium_ore_to_essence
The pack adds machine routes for Inferium ore, so you are not stuck with plain block drops.
Enriching (mekanism)
- any prosperity ore
Recipe id: allthemods:mekanism/enriching/prosperity_ore_to_shard
A pack-added way to process Prosperity ore.
Once you have shards and a seed base, the "Infusion Altar" quest quest gets you the Infusion Altar and Infusion Pedestal, which is how every seed in the mod is made. Place the altar first and it shows you where the pedestals go, then feed it a redstone signal to start the infusion. A Wand also works, just right-click the altar with it.[5]
Climbing the essence tiers
Tiering up runs through the Infusion Crystal. Combine the crystal with four essences of one tier and you get one essence of the next tier, so four Inferium Essence become one Prudentium Essence.[5]
- Tier 1 is Inferium Essence, the base essence everything else is built from.[5]
- Tier 2 is Prudentium Essence, made from four Inferium with an Infusion Crystal.[5]
- Tier 3 is Tertium Essence, made from four Prudentium with an Infusion Crystal.[5]
- Tier 4 is Imperium Essence, made from four Tertium with an Infusion Crystal.[5]
- Tier 5 is Supremium Essence, the top of the normal essence ladder.[5]
What each tier unlocks
Seeds are gated behind both the essence tier and the matching farmland, and the quest chapter is laid out the same way. Tier 1 seeds like Wood Seeds, Stone Seeds and Dirt Seeds open up once you have Inferium Farmland and the Infusion Altar.[5]
Prudentium brings Prudentium Farmland and tier 2 crops such as Coal Seeds, Nature Seeds and Amethyst Seeds. It also unlocks "Creating Mob Seeds" quest: head to the Nether for Soulium, make a Soulium Dagger and some Soul Jars, and kill mobs with the dagger to collect souls for mob seeds. A Soul Extractor can fill jars from mob drops instead, like rotten flesh for zombie souls.[5]
Tertium and Tertium Farmland open tier 3, which is where most of the metal and dust crops live, plus mob seeds like Zombie Seeds and Creeper Seeds. Imperium is the gate for tier 4, including Blaze Seeds, Enderman Seeds, Ghast Seeds and Experience Seeds.[5]
Gear and support blocks per tier
Essence gear follows the same ladder. "Inferium Tools" quest and "Inferium Armor" quest start you on Inferium tools and armor, and both can be upgraded to higher tiers later. Once you have an Unattuned Augment and a Tinkering Table you can slot augments into that gear for effects like haste, night vision, fall damage resistance and fire resistance.[5]
Growth Accelerators come in tiers too. They sit under your farmland and slightly speed up growth, and every tier gives the same growth ticks, so the only difference is how far up they reach. Stack as many as fit inside the top accelerator's range.[5]
- Inferium Growth Accelerator reaches 9 blocks.[5]
- Prudentium Growth Accelerator reaches 18 blocks.[5]
- Tertium Growth Accelerator reaches 27 blocks.[5]
- Imperium Growth Accelerator reaches 36 blocks.[5]
Unverified The Inferium Growth Accelerator quest subtitle lists a 9 block range while its description mentions 12, so double-check the in-game tooltip before you build a tall accelerator stack.
The Awakening
Past Supremium there is one more step. The Awakening Ritual produces Awakened Essence, and combining that with ingots gets you the Awakened Supremium Ingot Block, which is on the pack's ATM Star path.[10]
How does Mystical Agriculture work with other mods?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mystical Agriculture is one of the most connected mods in All the Mods 10. The pack adds and tweaks many recipes that turn your essences into other mods' resources, let you grow seeds in other mods' machines, and pull Mystical Agriculture items into some of the biggest endgame crafts. Here's how those connections work in this version.[9]
Turning essence into other mods' materials
The pack adds crafting recipes that convert essences into items from other mods. These let you farm materials that would otherwise mean mining, exploring or fighting.[9]
- Allthemodium Essence, Vibranium Essence and Unobtainium Essence craft into Allthemodium Nugget, Vibranium Nugget and Unobtainium Nugget.[9]
- Azure Silver Essence and Crimson Iron Essence give you Azure Silver Ingot and Crimson Iron Ingot.[9]
- Black Quartz Essence makes Black Quartz, and Darkstone Essence makes Darkstone.[9]
- For your storage setup, Entro Essence turns into Entro Crystal and Sky Steel Essence turns into Sky Steel Ingot.[9]
- Kivi Essence makes Kivi, and Xychorium Gem Essence can be crafted into every colour of Xychorium gem, from Blue Xychorium Gem to Red Xychorium Gem.[9]
- Unexplored Wood Essence crafts into the Regions Unexplored logs, such as Redwood Log, Maple Log and Baobab Log.[9]
- Rubber Essence makes Dry Rubber, and Enderman Essence can be used to make an Enderman Head.[9]

Dyenamics dyes and concrete
The pack changed the Dyenamics recipes so they work with essences. Dye Essence crafts into Dyenamics dyes like Amber Dye and Cherenkov Dye. Water Essence turns concrete powder into concrete, for example Amber Concrete Powder into Amber Concrete.[9]

Growing seeds in other mods' machines
The pack adds Immersive Engineering cloche recipes for some of the toughest seeds. Allthemodium Seeds, Vibranium Seeds and Unobtainium Seeds need the pack's custom Magical Soil. Nether Star Seeds, Dragon Egg Seeds, Nitro Crystal Seeds and Awakened Draconium Seeds use their matching crux instead, like the Nether Star Crux.[9]
Magical Soil is a pack-added endgame block that pulls in items from many mods, including Mystical Agriculture's Awakened Supremium Growth Accelerator and Insanium Farmland.[9]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: allthemods:kjs/magical_soil
The pack has also changed some planting-machine recipes that grow Mystical Agriculture seeds into essence. Examples include Air Seeds and Aluminum Seeds.[9]
Experience and the Awakening Altar
The pack changed Create's emptying recipe so an Experience Droplet can be emptied into Liquid Experience. That gives you a handy bridge from an experience crop to a Create setup.[9]
The pack also adds an Awakening Altar recipe for Reliquary's Lilypad of Fertility. It uses all four elemental essences along with items from Reliquary and Allthemodium.[9]

Endgame crafts
Mystical Agriculture is part of the pack's big All the Tweaks crafts. Creative Essence needs a Master Infusion Crystal. Philosopher's Fuel needs an Awakened Supremium Ingot Block. Wither's Compass needs Witherproof Bricks. So your farm ends up feeding directly into the pack's final goals.[9]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Mystical Agriculture?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mystical Agriculture shows up in two quest chapters in this pack. It has its own "Mystical Agriculture" chapter that walks you through every essence tier. It also has a branch in "Chapter 3: The ATM Star", because you'll be doing a lot of farming to make the ATM Star.[2][4]
The Mystical Agriculture chapter
Right after the chapter's opening quest, a whole fan of quests unlocks at once. The two you want first are "Inferium" quest, which asks for Inferium Essence, and "Prosperity Shards" quest, which asks for Prosperity Shard. You get Inferium from mining, killing mobs or growing seeds. For Prosperity Shards, go mining for Prosperity Ore.[4]
The same opening quest also unlocks a set of utility quests you can grab whenever you like. They cover the Seed Reprocessor (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture"), the Soulium Spawner (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture"), the Watering Can (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture"), "Mystical Fertilizer" quest, the "Enchanter" quest and the Soul Extractor (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture").[4]
The core progression
- Turn your shards into a Prosperity Seed Base in "Prosperity Seed Base" quest. You need these to create resource crops.[4]
- Build the "Infusion Altar" quest, which asks for the Infusion Altar and an Infusion Pedestal. Place the altar first and it shows you where the pedestals go. It needs a Redstone signal to start infusing.[4]
- After Inferium, grab the "Wand" quest. You right-click the altar with it to start the infusion process.[4]
- Make an "Infusion Crystal" quest after Inferium. Combining the crystal with 4 Inferium Essence gives you 1 Prudentium Essence, which completes "Prudentium" quest.[4]
- Keep climbing the tiers: "Tertium" quest, then "Imperium" quest, then "Supremium" quest. Each one is made from 4 of the previous essence plus an Infusion Crystal.[4]
- After Supremium, the "Master Infusion Crystal" quest quest asks for a Master Infusion Crystal. It works like the normal crystal but never breaks.[4]
Per-tier side quests
Each essence tier unlocks its own Farmland, Growth Accelerator, Armor and Tools quests. Examples are "Inferium Farmland" quest, "Prudentium Farmland" quest, "Tertium Farmland" quest and "Imperium Farmland" quest. Armor quests want the full helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots. Tools quests accept any one tool of that tier. The Inferium Farmland quest also asks for Inferium Seeds, so start growing Inferium early.[4]
- "Inferium Growth Accelerator" quest: range of 9 blocks.[4]
- "Prudentium Growth Accelerator" quest: range of 18 blocks.[4]
- "Tertium Growth Accelerator" quest: range of 27 blocks.[4]
- "Imperium Growth Accelerator" quest: range of 36 blocks.[4]
Seed quests
Most of the chapter is made up of small untitled quests that each ask for one seed. Tier 1 elemental seeds like Water Seeds and Stone Seeds unlock after Inferium Farmland and the Infusion Altar. Resource seeds for each later tier need that tier's Farmland quest plus the altar. For example, Iron Seeds follows Tertium Farmland and Gold Seeds follows Imperium Farmland.[4]
Mob seeds work a little differently. "Creating Mob Seeds" quest unlocks after Prudentium and asks for the Soulium Dagger, a Soul Jar and the Soul Extractor. You'll need a trip to the Nether for Soulium. That quest opens the Tier 2 mob seeds such as Cow Seeds. Tier 3 and Tier 4 mob seeds, like Zombie Seeds and Blaze Seeds, unlock straight from the Tertium and Imperium essence quests plus the altar.[4]
Gear and machine branches
Finishing both "Inferium Tools" quest and "Inferium Armor" quest opens the "Unattuned Augment" quest quest, which leads to the Tinkering Table (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture") for adding augments to your gear. On the machine side, the ""Furnace"" quest quest follows Prosperity Shards. The Machine Upgrades quest (a quest in "Mystical Agriculture") needs both Prosperity Shards and Inferium.[4]
Unverified The quest listing available here was cut off partway through the Supremium tier. The later awakening quests and the prerequisite for the Harvester quest could not be confirmed.
The ATM Star chapter
In Chapter 3, the "Mystical Agriculture" quest quest just asks for Inferium Essence. It then branches into three quests. "Witherproof Bricks" quest keeps the Wither from blowing up your builds. "Awakened Supremium Ingot Block" quest has you make Awakened Essence through the Awakening Ritual and combine it with ingots. The last is another "Master Infusion Crystal" quest quest: the crystal has infinite uses and can upgrade 4 Blocks of Essence to the next tier in block form, but you need Supremium to make it.[2]
Which Mystical Agriculture config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Mystical Agriculture keeps its gameplay settings in config/mysticalagriculture-common.toml. Here are the options you're most likely to care about and how All the Mods 10 8.1 sets them. They decide what drops, how fast things grow, and what spawns in your world.[7]
Unverified The sources show this pack's values but not the mod's default values. This section can't confirm which settings All the Mods 10 changed from the defaults, so read every value below as simply how the pack is set.
Crops, seeds and essence
- General.seedCraftingRecipes is false, so this pack doesn't generate vanilla crafting recipes for seeds.[7]
- General.secondarySeedDrops is false, so crops don't get a chance to drop a second seed when you harvest them.[7]
- General.fertilizedEssenceChance is 0.1 on a scale from 0.0 to 1.0. This is the chance that harvesting a Resource Crop also drops a Fertilized Essence.[7]
- General.essenceFarmlandConversion is true, so you can right-click Farmland with an Essence to turn it into Essence Farmland.[7]
- General.inferiumDropChance is 0. Passive and hostile mobs won't drop Inferium Essence when killed in this pack.[7]
Growth speed and gear
The mod lets you speed up crops with Growth Accelerators and Watering Cans. Two options control how those behave here.[1][7]
- General.growthAcceleratorCooldown is 10, meaning 10 seconds between each Growth Accelerator growth tick.[7]
- General.infusionCrystalUses is 500, so the basic Infusion Crystal has 500 uses.[7]
- General.enchantableSupremiumTools is true, so you can enchant Supremium Tools in an Enchanting Table.[7]
- General.awakenedSupremiumSetBonus is true. A full set of Awakened Supremium armor grants the Plant Growth AOE set bonus.[7]
Boss drops
- General.dragonDropsEssence and General.witherDropsEssence are both false, so the Ender Dragon and the Wither don't drop essence when killed with an essence weapon.[7]
- General.dragonDropsCognizant and General.witherDropsCognizant are both true. Both bosses drop Cognizant Dust when killed with an essence weapon enchanted with Mystical Enlightenment.[7]
World generation
- World.generateInferiumOre, World.generateProsperityOre and World.generateSoulstone are all true, so Inferium Ore, Prosperity Ore and Soulstone all generate in your world.[7]
- World.souliumOreChance is 0.05 on a scale from 0.0 to 1.0. This is the chance that a Soulium Ore spawns in a Soulstone cluster.[7]
