What is Gateways To Eternity?
Gateways To Eternity is one of the mods bundled in the pack. This version of the pack ships version 5.1.0, built for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]
It isn't a new addition. It has been in the pack since version 2.2 or earlier, so it has been part of the mod list for a long time.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Gateways To Eternity does, how it plays, or who it suits best, so I'm not guessing here. There is no in-jar guidebook or platform description to draw from.
Unverified As far as ForgeBase's data shows, the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path, and no quests in the pack involve it. I can't place it in the pack's progression beyond that.
How do you get started with Gateways To Eternity?
3 parts
Everything from Gateways To Eternity in this pack starts with one item: the Gate Pearl. You use it on a block to summon a Gateway, so your first job is to craft one.[2]
There is no single Gate Pearl recipe here. The mod adds several of its own, and the pack has also changed some recipes from Apotheosis so that they make a Gate Pearl too. All of them are shown below.[3]
Using a pearl
Use the pearl on a block to summon the Gateway. It only works if the new Gateway would not be too close to another Gateway, based on the current spacing. If a pearl won't work, try a spot further from any existing Gateway.[2]
Recipes from the mod
These recipes come from the mod itself and each one makes a Gate Pearl. Pick the one whose ingredients you can gather right now and start there.[3]

Recipes changed by the pack
The recipes below are marked as changed by the pack, so they are the pack's own versions and not mod defaults. The frontier recipe uses mob drops with an ender pearl and an iron ingot. The ascent and summit recipes bring in Gem Dust along with other Apotheosis materials, and the pinnacle recipe asks for a apotheosis:mythic_material.[3]

How does Gateways To Eternity work?
3 parts
Gateways To Eternity is built around a single item: the Gate Pearl. You use it on a block to summon a Gateway, and that Gateway is the encounter you then have to survive.[2]
Opening a Gateway
A Gate Pearl only works if the new Gateway would not be too close to another Gateway, based on the current spacing. If it will not place, move away from existing Gateways and try again.[2]
Once a Gateway is open, rewards spawn from it as they are obtained, so you do not have to wait until the end to see loot.[2]
Endless Gateways
The mod's tooltips include an Endless Modifier counter and a total count of Endless Modifiers, so you can check the modifiers on an endless Gateway from its tooltip.[2]
Crafting Gate Pearls
There is no single Gate Pearl recipe in this pack. Many different recipes produce the same item. The mod's own recipes use its gate recipe type, and the pack adds more shaped crafting recipes on top.[3]

How do you progress through Gateways To Eternity?
2 parts
In this pack, Gateways To Eternity revolves around crafting Gate Pearl items. Every recipe in the sources ends in a Gate Pearl, so the choice you make is which Gate Pearl recipe you can afford to craft.[3]
Tiered recipes changed by the pack
The tiered Gate Pearl recipes are named frontier, ascent, summit and pinnacle. They are shaped crafting recipes, and the pack has changed every one of them, so don't assume they match the mod's defaults. The site shows the exact in-pack versions below.[3]

Standard gate recipes
The other Gate Pearl recipes are the mod's own, not changed by the pack. They use the mod's gate recipe type instead of normal shaped crafting. They include the basic blaze, enderman and slime recipes, an endless blaze recipe, and the emerald grove, hellish fortress and overworldian nights recipes.[3]

Unverified The sources here do not show any quest in the pack's quest book that involves this mod, so the order in which the pack expects you to tackle these recipes is not confirmed. They also do not show what each pearl's gateway contains.
How does Gateways To Eternity work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, Gateways To Eternity connects to other mods through one item: the Gate Pearl. The recipe dump shows several crafting recipes that produce it, and they sit under the Apotheosis namespace. The pack has changed each of them, so don't assume they match the mod's defaults.[3]
Crafting a Gate Pearl
Each recipe is a shaped crafting recipe, and each one uses Gem Dust. The recipe you pick decides what else you need to gather. They are shown below exactly as the pack defines them.[3]
Crafting Shaped
| any gold ingot | Rare Material | any gold ingot |
| Rare Material | any ender pearl | Rare Material |
Recipe id: apotheosis:gateways/tiered/ascent
The pack has changed this recipe. It uses a Luminous Crystal Shard from Apotheosis, and its ender pearl and gold ingot slots accept any item from the matching tag.
Crafting Shaped
| Epic Material | Epic Material | |
Recipe id: apotheosis:gateways/tiered/summit
The pack has changed this recipe. It uses Arcane Sands from Apotheosis together with vanilla items.
Crafting Shaped
| Mythic Material | ||
Recipe id: apotheosis:gateways/tiered/pinnacle
The pack has changed this recipe. It is the only one here that needs items from Apothic Enchanting, and it also uses the Godforged Pearl and Sigil of Malice from Apotheosis.
What this means for you
Gate Pearls are tied closely to Apotheosis materials in this pack. The Pinnacle recipe also pulls in Apothic Enchanting items such as Infused Dragon's Breath and Warden Tendril, so you'll need to get hold of those before you can craft that version.[3]
What changed in Gateways To Eternity between versions?
Gateways To Eternity has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.2 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 4.14 ships version 5.1.0 (the 1.21.1 build). These are the version bumps recorded in the pack changelogs.[1]
- All the Mods 10 2.47: updated from 5.0.2 to 5.0.3.[4]
- All the Mods 10 4.3: updated from 5.0.3 to 5.0.4.[5]
- All the Mods 10 4.11: updated from 5.0.4 to 5.1.0. This is the version you still have in 4.14.[1][6]
Unverified The pack changelogs only list version numbers. I don't have the mod's own changelogs for these releases, so what changed inside 5.0.3, 5.0.4 and 5.1.0 (new features, fixes or balance changes) is unconfirmed here.
