What is Flux Networks?
1 part
Flux Networks is part of All the Mods 10 4.5. The pack ships version 8.0.0 of the mod, built for Minecraft 1.21.1, and it has been in the pack since version 2.26 or earlier.[1]
Unverified The available sources don't describe what Flux Networks does or who it's aimed at. It is commonly known as a mod for moving energy between machines without cables, but that isn't confirmed here for this version.
Where it fits in the pack
You'll find Flux Networks in the pack's basic_power quest chapter. Those quests take you through the mod's core items one at a time, so the quest book is a good place to start.[2]
- Pick up some Flux Dust to complete a quest in "?", the first quest for this mod in the chapter.[2]
- Once the Flux Dust quest is done, a quest in "?" unlocks and asks for a Flux Core and a Flux Block.[2]
- After that, a quest in "?" has you pick up a Flux Plug.[2]
- Three more quests share the same prerequisite in that chapter: a quest in "?" for the Flux Controller, a quest in "?" for the Flux Point, and a quest in "?" for the Basic Flux Storage.[2]
How do you get started with Flux Networks?
5 parts
Flux Networks lets you move power around through a Flux Network. In All the Mods 10 everything starts with one resource, Flux Dust. You turn it into the parts that feed power into the network and pull it back out. The pack's quests set a clear order, so here's the route in the sequence they unlock.[2][3][4]
Step 1: Get Flux Dust
Flux Dust is the first Flux Networks quest in the pack, a quest in "?", and every other part needs it somewhere in its crafting chain. The pack adds two XyCraft Extractor recipes that produce Flux Dust with no item inputs. A Productive Bees centrifuge recipe also gives you Flux Dust, along with Wax.[2][3]

Unverified The mod's own tooltip says Flux Dust is obtained by compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian. The sources don't confirm how that in-world method works or whether it still works in this pack.
Step 2: Flux Core and Flux Block
Once you have dust, the next quest, a quest in "?", asks for a Flux Core and a Flux Block. These two are ingredients in the Plug, Point, Controller and storage recipes, so you'll make plenty of them. Craft the Flux Core first, because the Flux Block recipe uses it.[2][3]
Step 3: Your first Flux Plug
The next quest, a quest in "?", asks for the Flux Plug. The Plug is the input side of a network. It passively receives energy from adjacent blocks and adds it to your Flux Network, so put it next to whatever makes your power.[2][4]
Step 4: Points, storage and the controller
Three more quests in the basic_power chapter all unlock from the same earlier quest. Take them in whatever order suits your base.[2]
- Flux Point (a quest in "?") is the output side. It actively provides energy to adjacent blocks and removes it from your Flux Network, so place it next to the machines you want to power.[2][4]
- Basic Flux Storage (a quest in "?") stores energy for your Flux Network.[2][4]
- Flux Controller (a quest in "?") enables wireless charging on your Flux Network.[2][4]

Where storage goes next
When one Basic Flux Storage isn't enough, you can upgrade it into a Herculean Flux Storage, which in turn upgrades into a Gargantuan Flux Storage. Each tier is crafted from the tier below it, so the storage you build early still counts toward the bigger ones.[3]

Unverified The sources don't give the energy capacity or transfer rate of any Flux Networks block in this pack. They also don't explain how to create a network and connect Plugs and Points to it, or what the Flux Configurator and the wipe recipes do.
How does Flux Networks work?
7 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Everything in Flux Networks revolves around your Flux Network, and every device has one clear job. A Flux Plug brings energy into the network, a Flux Point sends it back out, Flux Storage blocks hold a buffer, and the Flux Controller adds wireless charging on top.[4]
Plugs and Points: getting energy in and out
The Flux Plug passively receives energy from adjacent blocks and adds it to your network, so put it next to your generators and let them feed it. The Flux Point works the other way: it actively provides energy to adjacent blocks and takes that energy from your network. Place it next to the machines you want to power.[4]
In this pack, Plugs, Points and Controllers start with a default transfer limit of 800,000, set by energy.defaultLimit. All the Mods 10 keeps the mod's default value here.[5]
All the Mods 10 changed the Flux Point recipe from the mod's original, so check the in-pack version below instead of relying on older guides.[6]

Flux Storage tiers
Flux Storage blocks store energy for your network, so you keep a buffer when production and demand don't match up. Each tier has a maximum capacity and a default transfer limit, and all of these values match the mod defaults in this pack.[4][5]
- Basic Flux Storage stores up to 2,000,000 energy with a default transfer limit of 20,000.[5]
- Herculean Flux Storage stores up to 16,000,000 energy with a default transfer limit of 120,000.[5]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage stores up to 128,000,000 energy with a default transfer limit of 720,000.[5]
The two higher tiers use a special Flux Storage recipe type, and each one is crafted from the tier below it. Work your way up in order.[6]

Flux Controller and wireless charging
The Flux Controller enables wireless charging on your Flux Network. Like Plugs and Points, it has a default transfer limit of 800,000 in this pack.[4][5]
Server owners can stop wireless charging from charging specific items with blacklist.itemBlackListStrings. All the Mods 10 leaves that list empty, so no items are excluded by default.[5]

Unverified The range of wireless charging and which inventory slots it charges could not be confirmed from the available sources.
Blocks that Flux devices won't connect to
Server owners can list blocks that Flux devices should not connect to with blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings. All the Mods 10 ships this list with a single entry, an Actually Additions block, so every other block is fair game for your Plugs and Points.[5]
Networks, ownership and Super Admin
Each player can own up to 5 networks in this pack, set by networks.maximumPerPlayer. A Super Admin can bypass that limit.[5]
Super Admin is enabled in this pack through networks.enableSuperAdmin. Without it, nobody could access a Flux device or delete a network without permission. To activate Super Admin, a player needs a permission level of at least 1, set by networks.superAdminRequiredPermission. In single player you bypass that requirement.[5]
Getting Flux Dust
Every Flux device traces back to Flux Dust. The mod's own method, compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian, is enabled in this pack through general.enableFluxRecipe.[4][5][6]
All the Mods 10 also adds XyCraft Extractor recipes that produce Flux Dust, and it changed a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that gives Flux Dust along with Wax. These are handy options once you want the dust automated.[6]

Configurator and wipe recipes
The mod also has a Flux Configurator, and every Plug, Point, Controller and Storage tier has a wipe recipe that crafts the device back into itself.[6]
Unverified What the Flux Configurator does and exactly what the wipe recipes reset (the recipe type name suggests they clear a device's saved configuration) could not be confirmed from the available sources.
How do you progress through Flux Networks?
5 parts
In this pack, Flux Networks progression runs through the basic_power quest chapter. The quests take you from your first bit of Flux Dust to the Core and Block, then to your first network blocks and storage. Each step builds on the one before.[2]
Step one: Flux Dust
Everything starts with Flux Dust, the task for a quest in "?". Almost every other Flux Networks recipe traces back to this dust, so it's worth setting up a steady supply early.[2][3]
The pack adds its own ways to get Flux Dust through the XyCraft Extractor, and those recipes need no item inputs. You can also get it from the Productive Bees centrifuge, where the flux honeycomb recipe gives you Flux Dust along with Wax.[3]

Step two: Flux Core and Flux Block
Once you've got dust, a quest in "?" unlocks. It asks for both a Flux Core and a Flux Block. These are the building blocks for the network devices you'll make next.[2][3]
Step three: Plugs, Points and the Controller
a quest in "?" follows the Core and Block quest and asks you to make a Flux Plug.[2]
a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Controller and a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Point. Both unlock from the same prerequisite quest, which is also the prerequisite for the Basic Flux Storage quest.[2]

Storage tiers
Flux storage comes in tiers, and you move up by upgrading the storage block you already have.[3]
- Basic Flux Storage is the entry tier and the task for a quest in "?". You craft it on a regular crafting table.[2][3]
- Herculean Flux Storage is made by upgrading a Basic Flux Storage with the mod's special flux storage recipe.[3]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage is made the same way, by upgrading a Herculean Flux Storage.[3]
The quests in this chapter stop at Basic Flux Storage. There's no quest for Herculean or Gargantuan storage, so those upgrades are up to you once your first network is running.[2]

Unverified The storage capacity and transfer limits of each tier aren't covered here, so check the in-game tooltips for the exact numbers.
Flux Configurator and config wipes
The Flux Configurator has a normal shaped crafting recipe, but it doesn't appear as a quest task in this chapter.[2][3]
The Flux Plug, Flux Point, Flux Controller and every storage tier each have a config-wipe recipe. It takes the item and gives you the same item back.[3]
Unverified The recipe type suggests the wipe clears a device's saved settings, but exactly what gets reset isn't confirmed here.
How does Flux Networks work with other mods?
2 parts
Flux Networks doesn't have a long list of cross-mod recipes in this pack, but there is one worth knowing about: a way to get Flux Dust from bees. Productive Bees has a centrifuge recipe that outputs Flux Dust along with Wax.[3]
Flux Dust from the Productive Bees centrifuge
If you're already running bees, the centrifuge can give you a steady side supply of Flux Dust instead of you making every bit of it by hand. Every piece of Flux Networks gear starts from that dust, so this is a handy way to feed your whole network build.[2][3]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/fluxnetworks/honeycomb_flux
Outputs Flux Dust and Wax
Unverified The recipe data lists no item inputs for this centrifuge recipe. The recipe name suggests it processes a flux-themed honeycomb, but the exact input, which bee produces it, and the output amounts or chances could not be confirmed. Check the recipe viewer in-game. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Where Flux Networks shows up in the quests
The pack puts Flux Networks in the basic_power quest chapter, next to the other early power options. The quests there only ask for Flux Networks items, so they don't directly tie in another mod. They do give you a clear order to build things in.[2]
- Start by getting Flux Dust for a quest in "?". The centrifuge recipe above is one way to get it.[2][3]
- Next, a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Core and a Flux Block.[2]
- After that, a quest in "?" wants a Flux Plug, the block that pulls power into your network.[2]
The same chapter also has quests for the Flux Controller in a quest in "?", the Flux Point in a quest in "?" and the Basic Flux Storage in a quest in "?". These three hang off a different earlier quest in the chapter, not off the plug quest.[2]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Flux Networks?
2 parts
All of the Flux Networks quests in this pack live in the basic_power chapter. There are six of them, and each one asks you to get a single Flux Networks item, except one that asks for two. They form two small branches rather than one long line, so you'll bounce between them as you go.[2]
The main line: from dust to plugs
The first three quests form a clear chain, and each one unlocks the next. The first quest needs something from outside Flux Networks before it opens up.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks you to get Flux Dust. It unlocks once you finish an earlier quest that isn't part of Flux Networks.[2]
- a quest in "?" comes next and asks for two items: a Flux Core and a Flux Block.[2]
- a quest in "?" follows that one and asks you to get a Flux Plug.[2]
The network parts
Three more quests cover the rest of a basic network setup. None of them depends on the chain above. All three share the same prerequisite quest, so they all open up together once you finish it.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Controller.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Flux Point.[2]
- a quest in "?" asks for a Basic Flux Storage.[2]
Unverified The quest data doesn't show which quest unlocks the controller, point and storage quests, or what the rewards for any of these quests are.
Which Flux Networks config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Flux Networks keeps its important settings in one server config file, so these values apply to everyone on a server. If you've played Flux Networks elsewhere, there's good news: every numeric setting here matches the mod default, so capacities, transfer limits and network caps work exactly as you'd expect.[5]
Energy storage and transfer
These settings control how much energy each Flux Storage tier holds and how fast devices move power by default. Here's what the pack uses:[5]
- energy.defaultLimit is 800,000. This is the default transfer limit of a Flux Plug, Point and Controller.[5]
- Basic Flux Storage holds 2,000,000 energy (energy.basicCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 20,000 (energy.basicTransfer).[5]
- Herculean Flux Storage holds 16,000,000 energy (energy.herculeanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 120,000 (energy.herculeanTransfer).[5]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage holds 128,000,000 energy (energy.gargantuanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 720,000 (energy.gargantuanTransfer).[5]
Networks and Super Admin
Each player can own up to 5 networks (networks.maximumPerPlayer). A Super Admin can go past this limit.[5]
Super Admin is enabled in this pack (networks.enableSuperAdmin). Without it, nobody could access a flux device or delete a network without permission. With it, server staff have a way to deal with other players' networks.[5]
To turn on Super Admin, you need a permission level of at least 1 (networks.superAdminRequiredPermission). Permission levels come from ops.json. In single player you can skip this requirement. Players with permission level 3 or 4 can also use commands to make other people Super Admin, whatever those players' own permission level is.[5]
Chunk loading
Chunk loading is turned off in this pack (general.enableChunkLoading is false). Your flux devices can't keep their own chunks loaded. If you need a setup to keep running while you're away, you'll have to handle chunk loading some other way.[5]
Recipes and blacklists
general.enableFluxRecipe is true, so the mod's in-world method of making flux dust works in this pack.[5]
The block blacklist (blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings) lists blocks that flux devices won't connect to. In this pack it has only a single entry, so the blacklist won't get in your way when you hook up Flux Plugs and Points.[5]
The item blacklist for wireless charging (blacklist.itemBlackListStrings) is empty, so no specific items are excluded from wireless charging.[5]
What changed in Flux Networks between versions?
Good news if you like a stable setup: Flux Networks has had a pretty quiet life in All the Mods 10. It was added to the pack in version 2.26, and it came in at version 8.0.0 of the mod.[7]
Fast forward to All the Mods 10 4.5 and you're still running that same Flux Networks 8.0.0, shipped as the file FluxNetworks-1.21.1-8.0.0.jar. So the mod version hasn't changed between when it was added and the current release.[1]
Unverified There are no stored changelogs for the Flux Networks jar itself, so any fixes, balance tweaks or new features inside version 8.0.0 can't be confirmed here. It's also unconfirmed whether the pack changed any Flux Networks recipes or config values between 2.26 and 4.5.
