What is Flux Networks?
2 parts
Flux Networks is the wireless power solution in this pack, and the pack includes version 8.0.0. It has no way to generate power itself. It stores power and sends it wirelessly, even across dimensions, from your generators to the machines that need it.[1][2]
It can also charge the items in your inventory, and that includes your Jetpacks while you are flying.[2]
Where the quest book puts it
The Flux Networks quests sit in the Basic Power chapter. The intro quest "Flux Networks" quest comes after the Transferring Power quest, and "The "Core" Crafting Materials" quest comes after the intro quest. "Starting Your Network" quest follows that one.[2]
To get started you need Flux Dust. The intro quest says to head to Bedrock and throw some Redstone on top of some Bedrock. Then place Obsidian right above the floating Redstone and left click the Obsidian.[2]
The quests in this chapter
- "The "Core" Crafting Materials" quest: make a few Flux Core and Flux Block items, the core parts of your network.[2]
- "Starting Your Network" quest: the Flux Plug draws power from the block it is attached to. The quest suggests placing it on a power storage block like an Energy Cube.[2]
- "Accessing Network Power" quest: the Flux Point sends your network's power to whatever block it is attached to. Right-click it and pick your network in the "Network Selection" tab.[2]
- "Wireless Charging" quest: the Flux Controller has a "Wireless Charging" tab where you choose which parts of your inventory to keep charged.[2]
- "Flux Storage" quest: Basic Flux Storage stores your network's power, and it can be upgraded to store even more.[2]
Unverified Whether the ATM Star path uses Flux Networks is told in the pack's quest book, and the sources here do not show it, so this guide does not describe an ATM Star route for the mod.
How do you get started with Flux Networks?
5 parts
Flux Networks is all about moving power wirelessly. The mod can store and transmit power, even across dimensions, but it has no way to generate any, so you'll need a power source from elsewhere in the pack. The steps below follow the quest line, so you can tick them off as you go.[2]
Step one: get some Flux Dust
Everything starts with Flux Dust, and the quest "Flux Networks" quest asks for it first. You make it by compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian. Head to Bedrock, throw some Redstone on top of it, place Obsidian right above the floating Redstone, then left click the Obsidian.[2][3]
The pack also has a changed Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs Flux Dust and Wax, which gives you another way to get dust.[4]
Step two: make Flux Cores and Flux Blocks
Next, "The "Core" Crafting Materials" quest tells you to make a few Flux Core and Flux Block. The quest calls them the core parts of your network.[2]

Step three: place a Flux Plug
"Starting Your Network" quest covers the Flux Plug, the first piece of your network. It draws power from the block it's attached to and adds it to your network. Apart from a small buffer, it doesn't store power itself, so it won't hoard your energy.[2][3]
The quest suggests putting it on a power storage block like an Energy Cube. It also connects to cables, pipes, or the output of any power-producing machine.[2]

Step four: use power with a Flux Point
The Flux Point is the opposite of the Plug. It sends power from your network into whatever block it's attached to, whether that's a machine, a cable or a pipe. Place it, right-click it and pick your network in the "Network Selection" tab. Like the Plug, it lets you adjust how much power it pulls, its priority and more. See "Accessing Network Power" quest.[2][3]

The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on the mod's default.
Step five: charge yourself and store power
Once a Plug is attached to your power system, craft a Flux Controller and place it down. Right-click it, open the "Wireless Charging" tab and select the inventory sections you want kept charged. Then hit the toggle at the bottom to enable Wireless Charging and click apply. This is covered in "Wireless Charging" quest.[2][3]

For storing the power you generate, "Flux Storage" quest points you to Basic Flux Storage. It holds a lot of power and can be upgraded to hold even more. In this pack the next steps up are Herculean Flux Storage and then Gargantuan Flux Storage.[2][4]

How does Flux Networks work?
8 parts
Flux Networks is built around a handful of devices that add energy to your Flux Network or take it out again. The tooltips tell you exactly what each one does, so the whole system is easy to get your head around.[3]
The device types
- Flux Plug: receives energy passively from adjacent blocks and adds it to your Flux Network.[3]
- Flux Point: provides energy actively to adjacent blocks and removes it from your Flux Network.[3]
- Flux Storage (Basic, Herculean and Gargantuan tiers): stores energy for your Flux Network.[3][4]
- Flux Controller: enables Wireless Charging on your Flux Network.[3]
Transfer limits and storage sizes
The default transfer limit for a Flux Plug, Flux Point and Flux Controller is 800,000, set by energy.defaultLimit. That is also the mod default, so the pack hasn't changed it.[5]
Each storage tier has its own maximum capacity and default transfer limit. The pack leaves all of these at the mod defaults:[5]
- Basic Flux Storage: 2,000,000 capacity (energy.basicCapacity) and a 20,000 transfer limit (energy.basicTransfer).[5]
- Herculean Flux Storage: 16,000,000 capacity (energy.herculeanCapacity) and a 120,000 transfer limit (energy.herculeanTransfer).[5]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage: 128,000,000 capacity (energy.gargantuanCapacity) and a 720,000 transfer limit (energy.gargantuanTransfer).[5]
Upgrading storage
Each storage tier is crafted from the tier below it, starting at Basic. The Basic recipe is a normal crafting recipe, and the Herculean and Gargantuan upgrades use the mod's own storage recipe type.[4]

Getting Flux Dust
Flux Dust is obtained by compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian. This only works because general.enableFluxRecipe is true in the pack.[3][5]
The pack also changes a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that outputs Flux Dust and Wax. That gives you another route to the dust if you're running bees.[4]
The pack's Flux Point recipe
The pack changed the recipe for the Flux Point. Don't rely on the mod's default recipe from other guides. Use this one:[4]

Network limits and permissions
- Each player can have 5 networks, set by networks.maximumPerPlayer. A value of -1 means no limit, and 0 means only super admins can create networks. Super admins can bypass the limit.[5]
- Super Admin is enabled in the pack (networks.enableSuperAdmin). If it were off, nobody could access a flux device or delete a network without permission.[5]
- networks.superAdminRequiredPermission is 1, the same as the mod default. Players at that permission level or higher can activate Super Admin. Setting it to 0 would let anyone do it, and single player bypasses the check. Players at permission level 3 or 4 can use commands to set others as Super Admin.[5]
Chunk loading and blacklists
Flux devices can't be set to chunk load in the pack, because general.enableChunkLoading is false.[5]
The block blacklist (blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings) lists blocks that flux devices shouldn't connect to. In the pack it contains actuallyadditions:block_phantom_energyface. The item blacklist (blacklist.itemBlackListStrings) lists items that wireless charging shouldn't charge, and in the pack it holds only an empty entry.[5]
Wipe recipes
The pack has a "wipe" recipe for the Plug, Point, Controller and each storage tier. Each takes the device as its input and returns the same device.[4]
How do you progress through Flux Networks?
6 parts
Flux Networks doesn't generate power. It stores it and sends it wirelessly, even across dimensions, so the progression is really about building up the pieces of a network. In this pack the quest path lives in the Basic Power chapter, and it takes you from Flux Dust to a working network with storage.[2]
Step 1: Get Flux Dust
The chain starts with the "Flux Networks" quest quest, which unlocks after Transferring Power. It asks you for Flux Dust. The quest says to head to Bedrock, throw some Redstone on top of the Bedrock, place Obsidian right above the floating Redstone, then left click the Obsidian.[2]
The pack also changes a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe so it gives Flux Dust and Wax, which is another source of the dust.[4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/fluxnetworks/honeycomb_flux
The pack changed this centrifuge recipe from the default.
Cores and Flux Blocks
Next up is "The "Core" Crafting Materials" quest. It wants Flux Core and Flux Block, and recommends making a few of each, because they are the core parts of your network.[2]
Step 3: The Flux Plug
"Starting Your Network" quest gives you the Flux Plug. The Plug draws power from the block it is attached to. Apart from a small buffer it stores no power itself, so it won't hog your energy. The quest suggests putting it on a power storage block such as an Energy Cube. It also connects to Cables, Pipes, or the output of any power-producing machine.[2]
Step 4: Using the network
Three more quests cover the rest of the basics. They all unlock after the same earlier quest in the chapter, so you can take them in any order once you have a Plug set up.[2]
- "Accessing Network Power" quest asks for the Flux Point. The Point sends power from your network into whatever block it is attached to: machines, Pipes or Cables. Right-click it and pick your network in the Network Selection tab. You can also adjust how much power it pulls, its priority level and more.[2]
- "Wireless Charging" quest asks for the Flux Controller. Place it, right-click it, open the Wireless Charging tab and choose which parts of your inventory to keep charged. Then press the toggle at the bottom to enable charging and click apply. This works across dimensions, and the main quest even mentions charging Jetpacks mid-flight.[2]
- "Flux Storage" quest asks for the Basic Flux Storage, which stores the power your network generates and can be upgraded to hold even more.[2]

Storage tiers
Flux Storage has three tiers in this pack: Basic Flux Storage, Herculean Flux Storage and Gargantuan Flux Storage. The quests only ask for the Basic tier. The recipes below show exactly how each tier is made in the pack.[2][4]

Not on the quest path
The pack also has a recipe for the Flux Configurator, but none of the quests in the Basic Power chapter ask for it.[2][4]
How does Flux Networks work with other mods?
2 parts
Flux Networks doesn't generate power on its own. It stores and wirelessly transmits power, so in this pack it connects to the machines and power storage you already use. The links the sources confirm are the quest advice on where to attach its parts and one Productive Bees centrifuge recipe.[2][4]
Productive Bees: a second way to get Flux Dust
The quest line tells you to get Flux Dust by throwing Redstone on Bedrock, placing Obsidian above it and left-clicking the Obsidian. The pack also adds a bee route: a Productive Bees centrifuge recipe that gives you Flux Dust and Wax. The recipe dump marks this recipe as changed by the pack.[2][4]
Centrifuge (productivebees)
Recipe id: productivebees:centrifuge/fluxnetworks/honeycomb_flux
The recipe dump lists no item inputs for this centrifuge recipe and marks it as changed by the pack.
Plugging into other mods' power systems
The quests describe the Flux Plug as the part that draws power from the block it's attached to. Aside from a small buffer, it stores no power itself. The quest suggests placing it on a power storage block such as an Energy Cube. It can also connect to cables, pipes, or the output of any power-producing machine.[2]
On the receiving end, the Flux Point sends power from your network to whatever block it's attached to. That can be a pipe, a cable, or a machine directly. Right-click it to pick your network, and you can adjust how much power it pulls and its priority level.[2]
- "Flux Networks" quest introduces the mod and says it can charge your inventory items, including Jetpacks while you're flying.[2]
- "Starting Your Network" quest covers the Plug and where to attach it.[2]
- "Accessing Network Power" quest covers the Point and powering machines from your network.[2]
- "Wireless Charging" quest covers the Flux Controller and its Wireless Charging tab, where you pick which parts of your inventory stay charged.[2]
- "Flux Storage" quest covers the Basic Flux Storage for storing power from your network. It says storage can be upgraded to hold even more.[2]
Which All the Mons quests use Flux Networks?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
All the Flux Networks quests in this pack are in the "Basic Power" chapter. They follow on from the "Transferring Power" quest. The line starts with the mod's core idea: Flux Networks doesn't generate power, but it can store power and send it wirelessly, even across dimensions. It can even charge items in your inventory, including your Jetpacks while you're flying.[6]
Getting started
- "Flux Networks" quest asks for Flux Dust. To make it, go down to Bedrock and throw some Redstone on top of the Bedrock. Then place Obsidian right above the floating Redstone and left-click the Obsidian.[6]
- "The "Core" Crafting Materials" quest asks for a Flux Core and a Flux Block. You use both to craft the core parts of your network, so the quest suggests making a few of each.[6]
- "Starting Your Network" quest asks for a Flux Plug, the first piece of any network. The Plug draws power from the block it's attached to. It connects to Cables, Pipes, or the output of any power-producing machine, and the quest suggests putting it on a power storage block such as an Energy Cube. Apart from a small buffer, it stores no power itself, so it won't drain your whole power supply.[6]
Using your network
Once your Plug is in place, the chapter splits into three quests that each cover a different use of your network's power. You can do them in any order.[6]
- "Accessing Network Power" quest asks for a Flux Point. The Point sends power from your network into whatever it's attached to: Pipes, Cables, or machines directly. After placing it, right-click it and pick your network in the "Network Selection" tab. Like the Plug, you can adjust things such as how much power it pulls and its priority level.[6]
- "Flux Storage" quest asks for a Basic Flux Storage. Flux storage blocks store your network's power, hold massive amounts overall, and can be upgraded to store even more.[6]
- "Wireless Charging" quest asks for a Flux Controller. With a Plug attached to your power system, place the Controller and right-click it. In the "Wireless Charging" tab, choose which sections of your inventory to keep charged. Then turn on the toggle at the bottom and click apply.[6]
Unverified The three quests in "Using your network" all unlock from a quest that isn't included in the provided quest data. Starting Your Network points to a "next quest" about setting up your first network, but that quest's name and requirements can't be confirmed here.
Which Flux Networks config options matter?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Flux Networks keeps its important settings in one server config file, so these values apply to everyone on a server. If you've played Flux Networks elsewhere, there's good news: every numeric setting here matches the mod default, so capacities, transfer limits and network caps work exactly as you'd expect.[7]
Energy storage and transfer
These settings control how much energy each Flux Storage tier holds and how fast devices move power by default. Here's what the pack uses:[7]
- energy.defaultLimit is 800,000. This is the default transfer limit of a Flux Plug, Point and Controller.[7]
- Basic Flux Storage holds 2,000,000 energy (energy.basicCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 20,000 (energy.basicTransfer).[7]
- Herculean Flux Storage holds 16,000,000 energy (energy.herculeanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 120,000 (energy.herculeanTransfer).[7]
- Gargantuan Flux Storage holds 128,000,000 energy (energy.gargantuanCapacity) and has a default transfer limit of 720,000 (energy.gargantuanTransfer).[7]
Networks and Super Admin
Each player can own up to 5 networks (networks.maximumPerPlayer). A Super Admin can go past this limit.[7]
Super Admin is enabled in this pack (networks.enableSuperAdmin). Without it, nobody could access a flux device or delete a network without permission. With it, server staff have a way to deal with other players' networks.[7]
To turn on Super Admin, you need a permission level of at least 1 (networks.superAdminRequiredPermission). Permission levels come from ops.json. In single player you can skip this requirement. Players with permission level 3 or 4 can also use commands to make other people Super Admin, whatever those players' own permission level is.[7]
Chunk loading
Chunk loading is turned off in this pack (general.enableChunkLoading is false). Your flux devices can't keep their own chunks loaded. If you need a setup to keep running while you're away, you'll have to handle chunk loading some other way.[7]
Recipes and blacklists
general.enableFluxRecipe is true, so the mod's in-world method of making flux dust works in this pack.[7]
The block blacklist (blacklist.blockBlacklistStrings) lists blocks that flux devices won't connect to. In this pack it has only a single entry, so the blacklist won't get in your way when you hook up Flux Plugs and Points.[7]
The item blacklist for wireless charging (blacklist.itemBlackListStrings) is empty, so no specific items are excluded from wireless charging.[7]
