Additional Enchanted Miner in All the Mods 10

Additional Enchanted Miner adds a set of advanced miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that these machines can carry enchantments, so they can collect resources automatically with Fortune or Silk Touch.^[1]

Fluids are handled too. The quarry removes them when you set it up with Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The more advanced Chunk Destroyer machine removes fluids without any extra settings.^[1]

Power and requirements

The machines accept both EU and Forge Energy, so you can run them from whichever power setup you already have. The mod also requires Scalable Cat's Force.^[1]

Version in the pack

The pack ships version 21.1.164 of the mod, built for NeoForge 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 0.42 or earlier.^[2]

Make a Marker Plus first

Start with Marker Plus. Most of the mod's other recipes here, including the pump, several modules and the Enchantment Mover, call for an item from the markers tag. Having one on hand means you're ready for the later steps.^[3]

Upgrade to a Flexible or Chunk Marker

Both Flexible Marker and Chunk Marker can be crafted from a plain Marker Plus. Each can also be crafted from the other, so you can switch between them. The Flexible Marker's tooltip shows the area it covers, so you can check what you've selected.^[3][4]

The Quarry Plus is the main machine. In this pack its recipe is added through KubeJS, so check the recipe below rather than relying on what you've seen in other packs.^[3]

Deal with fluids

Fluids are removed automatically when the quarry uses a pump module, and the quarry screen has a checkbox to remove fluids in the area. If you'd rather have a standalone option, the Advanced Pump goes above a fluid block. Its GUI has a toggle: on sends fluids to void, which is useful for getting rid of water, and off moves them to a tank.^[1][3][4]

Add modules when you need them

• Faster Work Module makes the machine work faster.^[3][4]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve this mod, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it, so the sources here do not show a recommended progression beyond the crafting order above.

Additional Enchanted Miner adds BC-style miners that can carry enchantments, so they can collect resources with Fortune or Silk Touch automatically. Machines can take EU and Forge Energy. In this pack, the main machine you'll deal with is the Quarry Plus.^[1][4]

Power

The pack leaves No Energy mode off, so your machines need real power (noEnergy is false). The Quarry Plus has an energy cap of 10,000 (powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy).^[5]

The rest of the quarry's power settings are separate costs for each job. Breaking a block has a base cost of 25, and moving the head has a base cost of 1. Building the frame costs 15, breaking a fluid costs 125 and collecting experience is 2.5. There are also coefficients for Efficiency, Fortune and Silk Touch, and the Silk Touch one is 4. Every one of these matches the default shown in the config file, so the pack hasn't rebalanced the quarry's power use.^[5]

The machines also have a built-in chunk loader, and the pack keeps it on (enableChunkLoader).^[5]

Marking the area

There are three marker types: Marker Plus, Flexible Marker and Chunk Marker. All three are grouped under one marker tag. You can turn a Marker Plus or a Flexible Marker into a Chunk Marker, and a Chunk Marker back into a Flexible Marker.^[4][6][7][8]

The Flexible Marker shows its area as two corner coordinates in its tooltip. Its chat messages mention setting a new area, setting a new machine position, and resetting the controller configuration.^[4]

The quarry screen has buttons to remove lava, water or all liquids, plus a reset-work button. There are also editable Fortune and Silk Touch block lists. The liquid option's tooltip says to check it to remove fluids in the area.^[4]

Handling fluids

Quarries clear fluids with a Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The Quarry Pump Module is enabled in this pack.^[1][4][5]

The Advanced Pump works on its own: place it above a fluid block. Its screen has a toggle. When on, fluids are sent to void, which is handy for getting rid of water. When off, fluids are moved to a tank.^[4]

• Void Module (Void Module): right click to register, and it removes items the quarry mines. It is enabled in this pack.^[4][5]

Switched off in this pack

The pack disables the Chunk Destroyer, the more advanced miner (enableMap.adv_quarry, default is on). It also disables the Remove Bedrock Module (enableMap.remove_bedrock_module, default is on). The Faster Work Module (Faster Work Module) is off as well, which is also its default (enableMap.repeat_tick_module). Disabled items show a tooltip telling you to enable them in the config, so you can't use any of these three unless the pack's config changes.^[4][5]

The sources for this pack show no named tiers for this mod. What they do show is a crafting chain: markers come first, and almost every module and helper machine takes a marker as an ingredient. The Quarry Plus itself is a separate, pack-defined craft.^[8]

Step 2: The Quarry Plus

The Quarry Plus has a recipe added by the pack through KubeJS, so this is the one that counts here. It does not use a marker. It asks for an Allthemodium Ingot, an Unobtainium Pickaxe, an Advanced Block Breaker, an Eclipse Alloy Pickaxe and a productivity upgrade, so expect to come to it after you have progressed in those other mods.^[8]

The clearest link between this mod and the rest of the pack is how you get its main machine. The pack adds its own crafting recipe for Quarry Plus, and that recipe is built from items that belong to several other mods.^[8]

In practice, that means the Quarry is not a standalone machine in this pack. You need to get the other mods' items in that recipe first.^[8]

Power

On the energy side, the mod's project page says its machines can accept EU and Forge Energy. The page also says the mod requires Scalable Cat's Force.^[1]

Everything lives in one file, config/quarryplus.toml. Most of it is untouched mod defaults, but the pack changes two switches, and those matter more than anything else here.^[10]

What the pack changed

• enableMap.adv_quarry is set to false. The mod default is true, so the pack switches this machine off.^[10]
• enableMap.remove_bedrock_module is set to false. The mod default is true, so the pack switches off the module that removes bedrock.^[10]

Machines and modules that stay on

The basic quarry (enableMap.quarry), the mover, both markers (chunk and flexible), and the exp, filter and pump modules are all enabled, the same as the mod default. enableMap.repeat_tick_module stays false, which is also the default.^[10]

enableChunkLoader is true, so machines can use the chunk loader, as in the default.^[10]

Energy settings

noEnergy is false, so your machines still need power. The pack hasn't turned on the free-energy mode.^[10]

The quarry's power numbers all match the mod defaults. powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy is 10,000, powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase is 25, powerMap.quarry.makeFrame is 15 and powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid is 125.^[10]

The Advanced Quarry also has its own power entries, such as powerMap.advQuarry.maxEnergy at 50,000. They are all at default, and the machine is disabled in this pack anyway, so you can ignore them.^[10]

rebornEnergyConversionCoefficient is 0.0625, which is the default. The file's own comment marks it as Fabric only.^[10]

World-related options

• removeBedrockOnNetherTop is false, the default. Bedrock at y=127 in the Nether is not removed.^[10]
• convertDeepslateOres is false, the default. Deepslate ores are not converted to normal ores.^[10]
• removeCommonMaterialsByChunkDestroyer is true, the default. Common base blocks from the Overworld and Nether are removed from what the Chunk Destroyer collects.^[10]
• debug is false, the default.^[10]

All the Mods 10 8.2 ships Additional Enchanted Miner (the QuarryPlus jar) at version 21.1.164, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. The mod was already in the pack by release 0.42 or earlier, and the pack has bumped it many times since.^[2][11]

Notable changes in the mod itself

These come from the mod's own changelogs. The early ones were already in the mod by the time pack 2.32 moved it to 21.1.119.^[12]

• 21.1.102: a No Energy mode was implemented.^[25]
• 21.1.105: Chunk Destroyer was added as an experimental feature.^[26]
• 21.1.107: fixed a bug where the quarry accepted more energy than its capacity at once.^[27]
• 21.1.108: added the Void Module, which can filter items obtained by mining machines. It also added a config option to convert Deepslate ores to normal ones, and one to remove common materials obtained by Chunk Destroyer (the changelog lists its default as true).^[28]
• 21.1.110: on NeoForge, the way drops are gathered changed to respect BlockDropsEvent.^[29]
• 21.1.112: added Placer Plus.^[30]
• 21.1.115: fixed an error when a quarry has too small an area to work.^[31]
• 21.1.116: on NeoForge, the Enchantment Mover is used to move enchantments from an Enchanted Book (Fabric got anvil support instead).^[32]
