What is Additional Enchanted Miner?
2 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds advanced miners in the spirit of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that these machines can carry enchantments, so you can set them up to collect resources automatically with Fortune or Silk Touch.[1]
This pack ships version 21.1.116 of the mod for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since 0.42 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
What it's good for
- Automated mining with enchantments: the machines can use Fortune or Silk Touch to collect resources without you standing there.[1]
- Fluid handling: QuarryPlus removes fluids with Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The more advanced Chunk Destroyer removes fluids without any settings.[1]
- Flexible power: the machines accept EU and Forge Energy.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
Unverified The sources I have don't say where in the pack's progression this mod fits, and they don't cover any quests or an ATM Star route for it. Treat any claims about its place in progression as unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Additional Enchanted Miner?
5 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BC's quarry, and they can carry enchantments like Fortune or Silk Touch. The order below starts with the marker, moves on to the machine itself, then covers the modules that make it more useful.[1]
Make a Marker Plus
Start with the Marker Plus. The other two markers are crafted from it, and many of the mod's module and extra recipes ask for a marker of some kind as an ingredient, so you will keep coming back to it.[3]

Pick your marker type
Two more markers are crafted straight from the Marker Plus: the Flexible Marker and the Chunk Marker. You can also convert between those two. The Flexible Marker's tooltip shows the area it covers, which is handy for checking what you have set up.[3][4]

Build the Quarry Plus
The Quarry Plus is the main machine. This pack adds its own crafting recipe for it, so don't rely on what you may remember from the mod's default. Check the recipe below before you plan your resources.[3]

The project page says the machines accept EU and Forge Energy. Which power setup works best in this pack is unverified.[1]
Add modules
Once the quarry is built, modules improve it. A good first one is the Quarry Pump Module. The project page says fluids are removed by QuarryPlus with a Pump Plus or a Pump Module.[1][3]

Handy extras
- Quarry Y Setter and StatusChecker both have crafting recipes that use a marker, so they are easy to add once you have one. The sources don't describe how they work.[3]
- Placer Plus changes mode when you right click it with a Redstone Torch.[3][4]
- Enchantment Mover (Enchantment Mover) has a recipe in the pack, but the sources don't describe how it is used.[3]
Unverified Quarry size limits, energy use per tick, and how to place markers around a quarry are not confirmed for this pack, and no quests cover this mod.
How does Additional Enchanted Miner work?
7 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that they can carry enchantments, so they can collect resources automatically with Fortune or Silk Touch. The sources don't include a guidebook for the mod, so this page covers what the pack's config, recipes and tooltips actually confirm.[1]
Getting the Quarry in this pack
The pack has its own recipe for Quarry Plus. It is a custom crafting recipe added by the pack, not the mod's own. The quarry is enabled in the pack config through enableMap.quarry.[3][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
Pack-specific recipe for the Quarry Plus.
Power
Machines accept both EU and Forge Energy. The pack leaves noEnergy off, so your quarry really does need power.[1][5]
The quarry's energy buffer is set by powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy, which is 10,000 here. The other quarry costs are also configurable. The pack's values are 15 for powerMap.quarry.makeFrame, 25 for powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase, 125 for powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid, 1 for powerMap.quarry.moveHeadBase and 2.5 for powerMap.quarry.expCollect. These match the mod's listed defaults, so the pack hasn't changed them.[5]
Enchantments make mining more expensive through multipliers. The config lists 1.5874010519681996 for powerMap.quarry.breakFortuneCoefficient, 4 for powerMap.quarry.breakSilktouchCoefficient and 1.379729661461215 for powerMap.quarry.breakEfficiencyCoefficient. Silk Touch has the largest coefficient of these. The sources don't spell out the exact formula, so treat these as the raw inputs rather than a finished cost calculator.[5]
Fluids
Fluids are removed automatically by the quarry when it has a Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The Pump Module is Quarry Pump Module, and the pack has it enabled through enableMap.pump_module. Pump attachments are blocks you place next to the machine they serve.[1][4][5]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: quarryplus:pump_module
The mod's language file also describes a standalone pump block that you place above a fluid block. Its GUI has a delete toggle. When it is on, fluids are sent to the void, which is handy for getting rid of water. When it is off, fluids go into a tank.[4]
Unverified Whether the standalone pump is craftable or enabled in this pack is unconfirmed. The pack's config lists no switch for it.
Modules and attachments
The pack config switches on Quarry Exp Collect Module via enableMap.exp_module, Void Module via enableMap.filter_module, and Enchantment Mover via enableMap.mover.[5]
The Void Module (shown in-game as Void Module) is set up by right clicking it to register an item. It then removes items mined by the quarry.[4]

Placer Plus is enabled as well, through enableMap.placer_plus. Right click it with a Redstone Torch to change its mode.[4][5]
Things the pack turns off
enableMap.adv_quarry is false in the pack, even though the mod defaults it to true. enableMap.remote_placer and enableMap.repeat_tick_module are false too, which is also the mod's default for both.[5]
enableMap.remove_bedrock_module is false here as well, and the pack changed it from the mod's default of true. The Remove Bedrock Module is described as something you install in a machine to remove bedrock, but it is disabled in this pack. The related option removeBedrockOnNetherTop is also false.[4][5]
So Faster Work Module (Faster Work Module, which makes the machine work faster) and Remote Placer are both switched off.[4][5]
Markers
Marker Plus has a recipe in the pack, and Chunk Marker and Flexible Marker are enabled in the config. The Flexible Marker's tooltip shows the area it covers as two corner coordinates, and it can also show a remote position with its dimension. Beyond that, the sources don't explain how to lay out a quarry area.[3][4][5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: quarryplus:flexible_marker
Other config options
- enableChunkLoader is true, so machines can use their chunk loader.[5]
- convertDeepslateOres is false, so deepslate ores are not converted to normal ores.[5]
- removeCommonMaterialsByChunkDestroyer is true. It removes common materials (base blocks in the Overworld and the Nether) obtained by the Chunk Destroyer.[5]
Unverified The sources give no details on the Quarry Y Setter, the StatusChecker or how the Enchantment Mover transfers enchantments, so they aren't covered here.
How do you progress through Additional Enchanted Miner?
4 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner has no quest chain in this pack, so there is no questbook order to follow. The progression below comes straight from the in-pack recipes. They all grow out of one basic item, the Marker Plus, and end at the Quarry Plus.[3]
Unverified No quests in this pack involve this mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path, so there is no quest-guided order for it.
Tier 1: Markers
Everything starts with the Marker Plus. It is the cheapest item in the mod, and almost every other recipe asks for a marker, so make a few.[3]
Crafting Shaped

From there you can upgrade to two other marker types. The Chunk Marker can be crafted from either a Marker Plus or a Flexible Marker, and the Flexible Marker can be crafted from either a Marker Plus or a Chunk Marker. That makes it easy to swap between the two.[3]

Tier 2: Cheap utility items
The StatusChecker and the Quarry Y Setter are the simplest marker-based recipes. Each needs only a marker plus a couple of common materials, so you can make them early.[3]

Tier 3: Modules and extra machines
The next step is the add-on items. Each one is built around a marker and a few mid-game materials. The dump shows the recipes but not what each item does, so I'm only naming them here.[3]
- Quarry Pump Module, Quarry Exp Collect Module and Void Module (shown in game as Void Module) are shaped or shapeless marker-based crafts.[3]
- Faster Work Module (Faster Work Module) is a short marker-based recipe.[3]
- Remove Bedrock Module is also a short marker-based recipe, with only three ingredient types.[3]
- Enchantment Mover (Enchantment Mover) and Placer Plus are separate machines that also start from a marker.[3]
- Remote Placer is an upgrade of the Placer Plus, so craft that first.[3]

Final tier: The Quarry Plus
The pack adds its own custom recipe for the Quarry Plus. It does not use markers. It is built from late-game items from other mods, so it comes much later than everything above. Treat it as the goal of this progression, not the starting point.[3]

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work with other mods?
1 part
The clearest link between Quarry Plus and the rest of the pack is its crafting recipe. The pack adds it with a custom shaped recipe, so it is not the mod's default.[3]
That recipe uses items from three other mods: Allthemodium, Just Dire Things and Productive Lib. The Quarry Plus is a late-game machine in this pack, because you have to get through those mods' gear first.[3]

Recipe id: minecraft:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
Pack-specific recipe that combines items from several mods.
Energy and dependencies
According to the mod's project page, its machines accept both EU and Forge Energy, and it requires Scalable Cat's Force on all platforms. That is general information about the mod, so I haven't confirmed how it behaves with the power sources in this pack.[1]
Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and no other recipes linking it to other mods were found in the sources, so any further integrations are unconfirmed.
Which Additional Enchanted Miner config options matter?
4 parts
Everything lives in debug's file, config/quarryplus.toml. Most of it is untouched mod defaults, so I'll start with the two things this pack actually changed, then cover the options you're most likely to want to tweak.[5]
What this pack changed from the default
- enableMap.adv_quarry is set to false here. The mod default is true, so the pack switches this machine off at the config level.[5]
- enableMap.remove_bedrock_module is also false. The mod default is true, so the pack turns the bedrock-removing module off.[5]
Unverified The config file only shows these switches set to false. It doesn't say how the pack handles recipes or quests for the Advanced Quarry and the bedrock module, so check in-game before planning a build around either.
Machine switches left at their defaults
The rest of the machine toggles match the mod defaults. The quarry, chunk marker, flexible marker, mover, Placer Plus, EXP module, filter module and pump module are all enabled. The remote placer and the repeat tick module are disabled, which is also their default.[5]
The relevant keys are enableMap.quarry, enableMap.chunk_marker, enableMap.flexible_marker, enableMap.mover, enableMap.placer_plus, enableMap.exp_module, enableMap.filter_module, enableMap.pump_module, enableMap.remote_placer and enableMap.repeat_tick_module.[5]
General options
- noEnergy is false, so machines need energy as normal. Setting it to true would enable No Energy mode.[5]
- enableChunkLoader is true, so the chunk loader in machines is enabled.[5]
- convertDeepslateOres is false, so deepslate ores are not converted to normal ores.[5]
- removeBedrockOnNetherTop is false, so bedrock at y=127 in the Nether is not removed.[5]
- removeCommonMaterialsByChunkDestroyer is true. Common base blocks of the Overworld and the Nether are removed from what the Chunk Destroyer collects.[5]
- rebornEnergyConversionCoefficient is 0.0625 and is marked Fabric only, so it shouldn't matter on a NeoForge pack.[5]
Energy settings
The pack leaves the power values at the mod defaults. The quarry's powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy is 10,000, and the Advanced Quarry's powerMap.advQuarry.maxEnergy is 50,000.[5]
Per-action costs for the quarry are powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase at 25, powerMap.quarry.makeFrame at 15, powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid at 125 and powerMap.quarry.expCollect at 2.5. Silk Touch uses a coefficient of 4 through powerMap.quarry.breakSilktouchCoefficient.[5]
The Advanced Quarry has its own matching set of keys. Its powerMap.advQuarry.breakBlockBase is 30, powerMap.advQuarry.makeFrame is 15 and powerMap.advQuarry.searchBase is 1.25. These all match the mod defaults. Since the Advanced Quarry is switched off in this pack, you're unlikely to need them.[5]
What changed in Additional Enchanted Miner between versions?
2 parts
All the Mods 10 2.12 ships Additional Enchanted Miner 21.1.116 for NeoForge, and the mod has been in the pack since version 0.42 or earlier. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs for Minecraft 1.21.1, newest first.[2]
Recent changes
- 21.1.116: On Fabric, the Anvil can move an enchantment off an Enchanted Book. Forge and NeoForge use the Enchantment Mover for that instead. This release also updated the Russian language file.[6]
- 21.1.115: Fixed an error that happened when a quarry had too small an area to work.[7]
- 21.1.112: Added Placer Plus.[8]
- 21.1.110: On NeoForge, the way the mod gathers drops changed so that it respects BlockDropsEvent.[9]
- 21.1.108: Added the Void Module, which filters items obtained by mining machines. Also added a config option to convert Deepslate ores to the normal version, and a config option to remove common materials obtained by the Chunk Destroyer. The changelog lists that second option's default as true.[10]
- 21.1.107: Fixed a bug where the quarry accepted more energy than its capacity at once.[11]
Earlier changes
- 21.1.105: Introduced the Chunk Destroyer, labelled experimental in the changelog.[12]
- 21.1.104: Added a tooltip to the generator to make clear the block is meant for creative mode.[13]
- 21.1.103: Added a storage block for debug usage and a marker log for the Status Checker.[14]
- 21.1.102: Implemented the No Energy mode.[15]
