What is Additional Enchanted Miner?

3 parts

Additional Enchanted Miner (the QuarryPlus machines) adds advanced miners in the spirit of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that these miners can carry enchantments, so you can automate your ore and block collection with Fortune or Silk Touch.[1]

What it does

  • Automatically mines resources, with Fortune or Silk Touch if the machine is enchanted.[1]
  • Handles fluids: QuarryPlus removes them automatically when you pair it with Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The more advanced Chunk Destroyer removes fluids without any extra settings.[1]
  • Runs on EU or Forge Energy, so you can power it from whichever generators you already have.[1]
  • Needs Scalable Cat's Force to work on every platform.[1]

Who it is for

If you want hands-off mining, such as stacks of ore with Fortune or clean Silk Touch blocks without digging yourself, this is the mod to look at. It also suits you if you miss the classic quarry style of mining.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Additional Enchanted Miner 21.1.104, built for NeoForge on Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 0.42 or earlier.[2]

Unverified The sources show no quests, no in-jar guidebook and no ATM Star path step for this mod, so where it fits in the pack's progression is unverified. Recipes, configs and pack-specific changes are not covered in this overview.

How do you get started with Additional Enchanted Miner?

5 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 1.0 guide

Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. They collect resources automatically, and they can use Fortune or Silk Touch. Everything in this mod lives under the quarryplus namespace. Here's the order I'd tackle things in.[1]

Step 1: Make a Marker Plus

Start with the Marker Plus. It's the cheapest item in the mod and the basic building block of this setup. The recipe is below.[3]

If you want a more flexible way to define an area, you can turn it into a Flexible Marker. Its tooltip shows the area as two sets of coordinates. You can also make a Chunk Marker from a marker or from a flexible marker.[3][4]

Step 2: Craft the Quarry Plus

The Quarry Plus is the main machine. In the sources, its only recipe is one the pack added itself, so don't expect the mod's default recipe. Check the recipe below before you start gathering materials.[3]

Machines in this mod accept both EU and Forge Energy, so you'll need to power the quarry.[1]

Step 3: Add a pump for fluids

Fluids get in the way when you mine deep. The Quarry Plus removes them automatically when it has a Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The Quarry Pump Module is the one with a recipe in this pack.[1][3]

Later: Chunk Destroyer

The Chunk Destroyer is the more advanced machine. It's crafted from a Quarry Plus, so build that first. It also removes fluids without any extra settings.[1][3]

Unverified Power requirements, how to set the mining area with markers, and any config options for this mod in the pack are not covered by the sources, so check them in-game. No quests in the pack involve this mod.

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work?

6 parts

Additional Enchanted Miner adds automated miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. The big selling point is that they can mine with Fortune or Silk Touch, so you can automate resource gathering without losing those bonuses. The sources for this mod are thin, so this section covers only what they confirm.[1]

The Quarry

The Quarry Plus is the main machine. Its recipe is one the pack added itself, and it uses high-tier ingredients from other mods, so don't expect the mod's default recipe.[5]

Power

Machines from this mod can accept EU and Forge Energy. The sources don't give any energy costs or capacities for this pack, so check in game before you build a power setup around it.[1]

Fluids and pumps

The project page says the Quarry removes fluids with a Pump Plus or a pump module. You get that module as the Quarry Pump Module.[1]

There is also a standalone pump block. You place it above a fluid block. It has a GUI option for deleting fluids. When that is on, fluids are sent to the void, which is handy for getting rid of water. When it is off, fluids are moved to a tank.[4]

Modules and attachments

Several upgrades are installed into or placed next to a machine. The tooltips describe these ones:[4]

  • Remove Bedrock Module: install it into a machine to remove bedrock.[4]
  • Faster Work Module: makes the machine work faster.[4]
  • A filter module: right click to register an item, and it removes the items the quarry mines. The sources don't give its item id.[4]
  • Attachment blocks, including the exp pump and a replacer: these are placed next to machines. Block pumps are placed next to the machine they attach to.[4]

The Quarry Exp Collect Module is the Quarry Exp Collect Module. The sources only confirm its name and recipe, not exactly how it behaves.[5]

Markers

The Marker Plus is the base item that many of this mod's recipes are built from. The Flexible Marker and Chunk Marker are made from it, and you can convert between those two. The Flexible Marker's tooltip shows an area as two sets of coordinates and can also show a remote position in a dimension.[4][5]

Other items

A placer block changes mode when you right click it with a Redstone Torch. If an item shows a DISABLED tooltip, it has been turned off in the config.[4]

Unverified The sources do not explain what the Quarry Y Setter, StatusChecker and Enchantment Mover do, how the quarry area is set up with markers, how to feed enchantments to the Quarry, or how items are output to inventories. No config files for this mod were available. The project page also mentions a more advanced machine called the Chunk Destroyer, which removes fluids without setup, but it isn't confirmed that it exists in this pack.

How do you progress through Additional Enchanted Miner?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 1.0 guide

The Quarry Plus line in this pack is a short ladder: markers first, then the quarry itself, then the Chunk Destroyer on top. The modules and utilities branch off alongside it. Every step below has its exact in-pack recipe underneath, so you can plan your crafting before you start.[3]

Unverified The sources I was given don't show any quests for this mod, so there is no quest-guided path here. The order below follows the recipes only.

Tier 1: Markers

Start with the Marker Plus. It's the entry point of the whole mod, and most of the other items here are built from a marker, so craft a few.[3]

From there you can upgrade to a Flexible Marker or a Chunk Marker. Both have recipes that start from the basic marker.[3]

You can also swap between the two upgraded markers without going back to the basic one. That's handy if you built the wrong type.[3]

Tier 2: The Quarry Plus

The Quarry Plus is where this pack differs from the mod's defaults. Its recipe is added by the pack itself, so don't trust a recipe you remember from the standalone mod. Check the recipe below before you commit resources.[3]

Pack-added recipe, not the mod default.

Tier 3: Modules and utilities

Once you have a quarry, you can add modules. All four of these recipes are the mod's own, unchanged by the pack.[3]

Three utility items round things out: the StatusChecker, the Quarry Y Setter and the Enchantment Mover. They are cheap to build next to the modules, so make them whenever you need them.[3]

Tier 4: The Chunk Destroyer

The top of the line is the Chunk Destroyer. Its recipe takes a finished Quarry Plus as an input, so you can't skip the pack's custom quarry recipe. This recipe is the mod's own.[3]

Tip: Most of these recipes accept any marker type, so you don't need to build a specific one for each item. Use whichever marker you have.[3]

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work with other mods?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide

The clearest link between Quarry Plus and the rest of the pack is its crafting recipe. The pack adds it with a custom shaped recipe, so it is not the mod's default.[6]

That recipe uses items from three other mods: Allthemodium, Just Dire Things and Productive Lib. The Quarry Plus is a late-game machine in this pack, because you have to get through those mods' gear first.[6]

Pack-specific recipe that combines items from several mods.

Energy and dependencies

According to the mod's project page, its machines accept both EU and Forge Energy, and it requires Scalable Cat's Force on all platforms. That is general information about the mod, so I haven't confirmed how it behaves with the power sources in this pack.[1]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and no other recipes linking it to other mods were found in the sources, so any further integrations are unconfirmed.

What changed in Additional Enchanted Miner between versions?

3 parts

All the Mods 10 0.60 ships Additional Enchanted Miner 21.1.104 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The mod was already in the pack by 0.42 or earlier. Below are the three most recent releases from the mod's own changelogs.[2]

21.1.104 (the version in this pack)

  • The Fabric version now uses Obsidian tags for its recipes. This needs Fabric 0.105.0+1.21.1 or newer. It is a Fabric-side change, and this pack uses the NeoForge jar.[2][7]
  • The generator block now has a tooltip making it clear it is meant for creative mode.[7]

21.1.103

  • Added a storage for debug usage.[8]
  • Added a marker log for the Status Checker.[8]

21.1.102

  • Implemented a "No Energy" mode. The changelog gives no further detail on how it works.[9]

Unverified No pack changelog entries for this mod were available, so it is unverified whether any All the Mods 10 release changed its recipes or values.
