What is Additional Enchanted Miner?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Additional Enchanted Miner adds advanced miners in the spirit of BuildCraft's quarry. The twist is that these machines can carry enchantments, so you can set them up to collect resources automatically with Fortune or Silk Touch.[1]
This pack ships version 21.1.116 of the mod for NeoForge. It has been in the pack since 0.42 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
What it's good for
- Automated mining with enchantments: the machines can use Fortune or Silk Touch to collect resources without you standing there.[1]
- Fluid handling: QuarryPlus removes fluids with Pump Plus or a Pump Module. The more advanced Chunk Destroyer removes fluids without any settings.[1]
- Flexible power: the machines accept EU and Forge Energy.[1]
Where it fits in the pack
Unverified The sources I have don't say where in the pack's progression this mod fits, and they don't cover any quests or an ATM Star route for it. Treat any claims about its place in progression as unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Additional Enchanted Miner?
4 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry, and they can collect resources with Fortune or Silk Touch. The machine you are working toward is Quarry Plus, and this page walks you through the items to make, in order.[1][3]
Step 1: Make a Marker Plus
Start with Marker Plus. Many of the mod's other recipes ask for an item from the quarryplus markers group, so it pays to have markers on hand before anything else.[3]

In this pack the range of Marker Plus is 256, set by markerPlusRange. Flexible Marker also has a range of 256, set by flexibleMarkerRange. The recipes for Flexible Marker and Chunk Marker are shown below.[3][4]

The Flexible Marker is crafted starting from a Marker Plus.

The Chunk Marker is also crafted starting from a Marker Plus.
Step 2: Craft the Quarry Plus
The recipe for Quarry Plus is added by the pack itself and pulls in items from other mods, so check the ingredients below before you commit to it. The quarry is enabled here through enableMap.quarry.[3][4]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
Energy is not free in this pack, because noEnergy is false. Machines from this mod accept Forge Energy and EU.[1][4]
The quarry's energy buffer is set by powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy, which is 10,000 in this pack. The quarry starts digging from the bottom of the frame, because digFromMaxY is false.[4]
Step 3: Deal with fluids
Fluids are removed automatically by the quarry when it is used with a pump. The mod offers a pump module for this, and Quarry Pump Module is enabled in this pack.[1][4][5]

Void Module removes items mined by the quarry, and you right click it to register an item. It is enabled in this pack.[4][5]
How does Additional Enchanted Miner work?
4 parts
Additional Enchanted Miner adds miners in the style of BuildCraft's quarry. The machines can carry enchantments, so they can collect resources with Fortune or Silk Touch. Machines can accept EU and Forge Energy.[1]
The Quarry Plus in this pack
The pack changes how you get the main machine. The mod's own Quarry Plus recipe is removed and replaced with a pack recipe, so check this one rather than the mod's default.[3][6]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
This is the pack's own recipe, and it replaces the mod default.
You set the mining area with markers. Marker Plus is the basic one, Flexible Marker is the second type and Chunk Marker is the third. The quarry builds a frame as it works. With digFromMaxY set to false, as it is in the pack, it starts digging from the bottom of the frame instead of the top.[4][5]
- markerPlusRange is 256 in the pack (the mod allows 8 to 1,048,576).[4]
- flexibleMarkerRange is 256 in the pack (the mod allows 16 to 16,777,216).[4]

Power
noEnergy is false, so the machines need power. The pack leaves the Quarry Plus power settings at the mod defaults. They are:[4]
- powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy: 10,000.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.makeFrame: 15, for building the frame.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.moveHeadBase: 1, for moving the head.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase: 25, for breaking a block.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid: 125, for breaking a fluid block.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.expCollect: 2.5, for collecting experience.[4]
The same section also has coefficients that scale the cost for enchantments and efficiency. The sources do not explain the exact formula that uses them.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.efficiencyCoefficient: 1.5848931924611136.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakEfficiencyCoefficient: 1.379729661461215.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakFortuneCoefficient: 1.5874010519681996.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakSilktouchCoefficient: 4.[4]
Fluids
The project page says fluids are removed with Pump Plus or Quarry Pump Module. The quarry screen also has a checkbox to remove fluids in the area, plus RemoveLava and RemoveWater buttons.[1][5]

Advanced Pump is a standalone pump that you place above a fluid block. Its screen has a toggle. When it is on, fluids are sent to void, which is handy for getting rid of water. When it is off, fluids go into the tank.[5]

How do you progress through Additional Enchanted Miner?
3 parts
Progression for this mod in the pack is all about crafting. Everything starts from the Marker Plus, and the big payoff, the Quarry Plus, has a recipe the pack rewrote with items from other mods.[3][6]
Markers
The Marker Plus is the entry point, and most of the mod's other recipes ask for one (or anything in the markers tag).[3]

Utilities and modules
Once you have markers, the rest of the mod's items are built on top of them. These all use the mod's own recipes, unchanged by the pack.[3]
- Utility items: Advanced Pump, Enchantment Mover, StatusChecker, Quarry Y Setter and Placer Plus are all crafted with the mod's own recipes, shown below.[3]
- Marker-based modules: Void Module, Quarry Exp Collect Module, Quarry Pump Module, Remove Bedrock Module and Faster Work Module also need a marker.[3]
- The Remote Placer is a second step: its recipe starts from a Placer Plus instead of a marker.[3]

The Quarry Plus
The Quarry Plus is where the pack steps in. A KubeJS script removes the mod's own recipe and adds a new shaped one. It is not made from markers at all: it takes items from other mods.[3][6]

How does Additional Enchanted Miner work with other mods?
2 parts
The clearest link between this mod and the rest of the pack is how you get its main machine. The pack removes the default recipe for Quarry Plus and adds its own shaped recipe, so the mod's usual crafting does not apply here.[3][6]
Shaped (kubejs)
Recipe id: kubejs:kjs/quarryplus_quarry
The pack's own shaped recipe for Quarry Plus, which uses items from other mods.
Because the recipe uses items from other mods in the pack, you need to get those first before you can build the Quarry Plus. The recipe block above shows exactly what goes where.[3][6]
Other changes the pack makes
The pack also removes the recipe with the id quarryplus:adv_quarry, so that recipe is not available here.[7]
Dependency and energy
The mod's project page says it requires Scalable Cat's Force on every platform, and that its machines can accept EU and Forge Energy. This comes from the mod's general description, not from a change the pack makes.[1]
Which Additional Enchanted Miner config options matter?
4 parts
Most of the config file for this mod is left at its defaults in the pack. Only two options differ from the mod default, and both of them disable something, so check these first if a machine seems to be missing.[4]
What the pack changed
- enableMap.adv_quarry is set to false in the pack. The mod default is true, so the advanced quarry is switched off here.[4]
- enableMap.remove_bedrock_module is also set to false. The mod default is true, so the remove bedrock module is switched off in this pack.[4]
Machines that stay enabled
The quarry, the chunk marker, the flexible marker, the mover, the placer plus, the adv pump, the exp module, the filter module and the pump module all keep their default of true. The remote placer and the repeat tick module are false, which is also their mod default.[4]
Energy and power settings
Energy is not bypassed in this pack: noEnergy is false, the same as the default. The power values are also all defaults, so here is what the quarry actually uses.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.maxEnergy is 10,000.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockBase is 25 and powerMap.quarry.makeFrame is 15.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakSilktouchCoefficient is 4 and powerMap.quarry.breakFortuneCoefficient is 1.5874010519681996.[4]
- powerMap.quarry.breakBlockFluid is 125 and powerMap.quarry.expCollect is 2.5.[4]
The advanced pump keeps its defaults too. powerMap.advPump.range is 32, powerMap.advPump.fluidCapacity is 512 and powerMap.advPump.maxEnergy is 1,024.[4]
Markers, digging and other options
- flexibleMarkerRange and markerPlusRange are both 256, the same as the defaults.[4]
- digFromMaxY is false, so a quarry starts digging from the bottom of the frame rather than the top.[4]
- enableChunkLoader is true, so machines can use the chunk loader.[4]
- convertDeepslateOres and removeBedrockOnNetherTop are both false, so deepslate ores aren't converted and the Nether bedrock at y=127 isn't removed.[4]
- removeMinecartWithChest and removeCommonMaterialsByChunkDestroyer are both true, as per the defaults.[4]
rebornEnergyConversionCoefficient is 0.0625 and is marked as applying to Fabric only.[4]
What changed in Additional Enchanted Miner between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Additional Enchanted Miner 21.1.162 for Minecraft 1.21.1. The mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs.[8]
