What is Laser Bridges & Doors?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.38 guide
Laser Bridges & Doors is a small, decorative redstone mod that gives you futuristic laser bridges, doors and fences. You place a laser source block, give it a redstone signal, and it projects a laser structure outward. This pack ships version 1.21.1-1-neoforge of the mod.[1][2]
How it works
- The laser only forms while the source block is powered by redstone, so a lever, button or pressure plate is enough to open and close a laser door or bridge.[1]
- The length of the laser depends on the redstone signal strength and updates as the signal changes. A weaker signal gives you a shorter bridge.[1]
- You can recolor a laser source by clicking it with a dye in hand, or have a dispenser apply the dye for you.[1]
- There are full block laser sources for more complex redstone contraptions, plus a Laser Fence Source Block variant for laser fences.[1]
The mod is configurable. One option sets the maximum laser length at full power, and all partial lengths are calculated from it. The mod's own default is 15 blocks. Another option lists the blocks that lasers are allowed to cut through and replace.[1]
Unverified The sources don't confirm whether this pack keeps the mod's default maximum laser length or changes it. Test it in game before you plan a long bridge.
Who it's for
If you like building bases with a sci-fi look, secret entrances or redstone-controlled walkways, this mod is for you. Its job is style and redstone fun rather than tech or resource progression.[1]
Unverified The sources don't document a place for this mod in the pack's progression, and no in-pack recipe for the laser source blocks could be confirmed. Check the recipe viewer in game. This site does hold All the Mons's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Laser Bridges & Doors?
3 parts
This mod keeps things simple. Everything starts with one block, the Laser Source. When it gets a redstone signal, it creates a laser bridge, door or fence. Here is the order I would tackle things in.[1]
Craft a Laser Source first
This is the first thing to make, because every laser you build comes from it. In this pack the mod's own recipe has been changed, so don't trust what you remember from other packs. The pack also adds a second recipe for the same block that accepts any glass block.[3]

Swap to a Laser Fence Source if you need one
You don't need a separate crafting chain for the Laser Fence Source. You turn a Laser Source into one with a single-item shapeless recipe. The conversion works both ways, so you can change your mind later without losing anything.[1][3]

Power it and color it
- Give the source a redstone signal to form the laser. Its length depends on the signal strength and updates dynamically as the signal changes.[1]
- Click a source with a dye to color it. A dispenser can apply the dye for you too.[1]
- Full block laser sources are handy for building more complicated redstone contraptions.[1]
How does Laser Bridges & Doors work?
4 parts
Laser Bridges & Doors is a small mod, and its mechanics are simple. You place a laser source, power it with redstone, and it projects a laser platform, door, or fence. Here is what the sources confirm about how that works in this pack.[1]
Powering a laser
A laser only forms when its source block is activated by a redstone signal. Its length depends on the signal strength and updates dynamically, so if the signal changes, the laser changes length with it.[1]
The mod has a configurable maximum length for the laser from a fully powered source block, and all partial lengths are calculated from that value. The mod's default is 15.[1]
Unverified The sources here do not show a config file for this mod in the pack. The mod's project page names config/laserbridges.json with the options max_length and blocks_cut_through_by_lasers, but whether this pack changes max_length or the list of blocks lasers can cut through is not confirmed.
Source blocks
The mod gives you Laser Source and Laser Fence Source. You can convert between them in the crafting grid, and the conversion works both ways, each direction with its own shapeless recipe.[1][3]

The project page describes these as full block laser sources, meant for building more complicated redstone contraptions.[1]
Coloring
You can color a laser source by clicking it with a dye in hand. A dispenser can also apply the dye, which is handy if you want to recolor lasers as part of an automated build.[1]
Crafting the source in this pack
The pack changes the mod's own recipe for the Laser Source, so don't rely on the default recipe from the mod's project page. The pack also adds an extra recipe through KubeJS. Both are shown below exactly as they work in the pack.[1][3]

How do you progress through Laser Bridges & Doors?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 7.3 guide
There isn't a long tier ladder here. The mod adds two blocks, the Laser Source and the Laser Fence Source, and your progression starts with crafting a Laser Source.[4]
Step one: the Laser Source
The Laser Source is your entry point. This pack changed the mod's own shaped recipe for it, so check the recipe below for what the block costs in this pack.[4]

The pack also adds a second shaped recipe that makes the Laser Source. You can use whichever one fits the materials you have.[4]

Switching between bridge and fence
Once you have a Laser Source, you can turn it into a Laser Fence Source with a shapeless recipe. You can also turn it back the same way, so you never lose materials by picking the wrong one.[4]

What changed in Laser Bridges & Doors between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.2.0 ships Laser Bridges & Doors 5.3 (the NeoForge build for 1.21.1). The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so it is one of the long-standing mods you will find in the pack.[5]
Laser Bridges & Doors 5.3
The mod's own changelog for 5.3 is short. It added a missing translation for the laser blocks and fixed coloring laser sources on newer versions.[6]
The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so there is nothing else to report about how its version changed between pack releases.[5]
