What is Flux Networks?
1 part
This pack ships Flux Networks 7.2.1.15 (the file FluxNetworks-1.20.1-7.2.1.15.jar), and it has been included since version 0.0.45.4 or earlier.[1]
The pack's quest book gives the mod its own chapter, "Flux Networks", in the group "Storage and Power" (chapter 18 of 44, with 11 quests). The chapter opens with "Welcome to Flux Networks" quest, a checkmark quest that asks for no item.[2]
How the chapter flows
- After the welcome quest, "Flux" quest asks you to get Flux Dust.[2]
- Once Flux is done, the book offers two quests: "Flux Configurator" quest asks for the Flux Configurator, and "Flux Core" quest asks for the Flux Core.[2]
- After Flux Core come three more quests: "Flux Point" quest asks for the Flux Point, "Flux Block" quest asks for the Flux Block and "Flux Plug" quest asks for the Flux Plug.[2]
- "Flux Controller" quest, which asks for the Flux Controller, comes after Flux, Flux Block and Flux Core in the book.[2]
- The storage quests follow Flux Block: "Flux Storage" quest (Tier 1) asks for the Basic Flux Storage, then a quest in "Flux Networks" (Tier 2) asks for the Herculean Flux Storage, then a quest in "Flux Networks" (Tier 3) asks for the Gargantuan Flux Storage.[2]
Flux Networks also appears outside its own chapter. The "Useful mods and Items" chapter (chapter 3 of 44, with 37 quests) has a quest called "Flux Network" quest that asks you for a Flux Plug and a Flux Point.[3]
The quest sources don't connect any of these quests to the ATM Star path, so treat Flux Networks as part of the pack's regular Storage and Power content.[2][3]
How do you get started with Flux Networks?
5 parts
Flux Networks has its own chapter in the pack's quest book. It sits in the group "Storage and Power" (chapter 18 of 44) and has 11 quests. It opens with "Welcome to Flux Networks" quest, a simple checkmark, and the order below follows the quest tree.[2]
Start with Flux Dust
The first real task is "Flux" quest, which asks for Flux Dust. Every other quest in the chapter hangs off this one, so it is your starting point.[2]
Unverified How you obtain Flux Dust in this pack is not confirmed by the sources available, so check the in-game recipe viewer. This site does hold Project Infinity 0.1's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Flux Core and Flux Configurator
Two quests unlock right after Flux: "Flux Core" quest and "Flux Configurator" quest. The core recipe makes 4 Flux Core per craft, and the Flux Block, Flux Point, Flux Plug and Flux Controller quests all come after the core, so make it early.[2][4]

Flux Block, Flux Point and Flux Plug
Once you have a core, the quest book offers "Flux Block" quest, "Flux Point" quest and "Flux Plug" quest. The Flux Block is also an ingredient in the plug, the controller and the first storage tier, so it is a good one to craft first.[2][4]

The pack adds an extra recipe of its own for the Flux Point and another for the Flux Plug. They are shown below. The sources do not say what the pack intends them for.[4]
The plug and the point also show up in the quest "Flux Network" quest in the "Useful mods and Items" chapter (chapter 3 of 44), which asks for both items.[3]
Flux Controller
"Flux Controller" quest needs Flux, Flux Block and Flux Core done first. The mod's tooltip says the Flux Controller enables Wireless Charging on your Flux Network. The game also tells you if a network already has a controller.[2][5]

Flux Storage tiers
Storage comes after the Flux Block in the quest tree. "Flux Storage" quest is Tier 1 and asks for Basic Flux Storage. The next quest is Tier 2 for Herculean Flux Storage, and the last is Tier 3 for Gargantuan Flux Storage. Each tier is crafted from the previous one.[2][4]

How does Flux Networks work?
8 parts
Flux Networks moves energy between machines through named networks that you create. Everything hangs off a handful of block types: Flux Plug, Flux Point, the flux storage blocks and the Flux Controller. Once you know what each one does, the rest is settings.[5]
The building blocks
- Flux Plug: receives energy from adjacent blocks passively and adds it to your Flux Network. Think of it as the input side.[5]
- Flux Point: provides energy to adjacent blocks actively, removing it from your Flux Network. This is the output side.[5]
- Flux storage: stores energy for your Flux Network. The tiers are Basic Flux Storage, Herculean Flux Storage and Gargantuan Flux Storage.[5]
- Flux Controller: enables Wireless Charging on your Flux Network. The game tells you if the network already has a Flux Controller, so expect to use just one per network.[5]
The plug and point recipes in this pack are shown below, followed by the controller.[4]

Unverified How much energy each storage tier holds, and the default transfer limits, are not confirmed by the sources available for this guide.
Creating and managing a network
You set up a network from the Create New Network tab. You give it a name and a colour, pick an energy type and choose a security level: Public, Private or Encrypted. A password is part of the setup, and the game rejects an invalid one. There is a cap on how many networks one player can create.[5]
Players on a network have an access level: Owner, Admin, User or Stranger, plus a Super Admin state. Some actions need admin access and some need owner access. Ownership can also be transferred. The network screens also have tabs for Network Members, Network Connections, Network Statistics and Wireless Charging.[5]
Settings on plugs, points and storage
The mod's screens list settings such as Priority, Transfer Limit, Bypass Limit, Power Surge, Chunk Loading and an Internal Buffer. The sources don't describe exactly how each option behaves, so test them in a safe world before you rely on them. One thing is confirmed: servers can ban chunk loading, and you will see a message saying so.[5]
If you have lots of blocks to set up, the network screen has a Batch Editing Mode. You select the connections you want, then Edit or Disconnect them together, instead of using Single Editing Mode on each one. The mod also shows Copied Configuration and Pasted Configuration messages, and the Flux Configurator is the item that carries a saved configuration in this pack.[5][7]
Pack change: copying settings onto plugs and points
This pack adds its own crafting recipes for copying a configurator's saved settings onto a Flux Point or Flux Plug. The result carries over the transfer limit, the network ID, the priority, the bypass limit setting and the surge mode setting. The configurator is kept after crafting, so you can reuse it for as many blocks as you like.[4][7]

Wireless charging
Wireless charging is enabled on a network with the Flux Controller. The screens tell you whether it is effective or ineffective for the network you are looking at. The slot labels list Armor Slots, Curios Slots, Hotbar Slots, Main Hand and Off Hand, while Main Inventory is marked as Disabled.[5]
Making Flux Dust in this pack
Flux Dust is used in several of this mod's recipes. The mod's own tooltip says it comes from compressing Redstone Dust with Bedrock and Obsidian. This pack also gives it an Auto Crusher recipe on the tier 1.5 structure. It takes 4 redstone and 1 obsidian plus 10,000 energy and makes 4 Flux Dust in 8 ticks.[5][8]
From there, Flux Core and Flux Block are crafted components used in several of the plug, controller and storage recipes.[4]
Config notes
- integration.enableGTCEU is true in this pack. If GregTech CE Unofficial Modern is installed, the integration converts at 4 FE = 1 GTEU, and that ratio is not configurable. The EU to FE conversion itself is provided by GTCEU, so GTCEU's own settings (nativeEUToPlatformNative on and euToPlatformRatio = 4) need to match. Changing this option needs a restart.[6]
- OneProbe.enableOneProbeBasicInfo is on and shows the network name, live transfer rate and internal buffer in The One Probe. OneProbe.enableOneProbeAdvancedInfo is also on and adds the transfer limit and priority. OneProbe.enableOneProbeSneaking is on too, so the advanced info only appears while you sneak.[6]
- Most other options are not in the common config. The file's own note says they live in the server config, fluxnetworks-server.toml.[6]
How do you progress through Flux Networks?
4 parts
In this pack, Flux Networks has its own quest chapter, "Flux Networks", in the "Storage and Power" group (chapter 18 of 44 in the book, 11 quests). It begins with "Welcome to Flux Networks" quest, a simple checkmark, and ends with the three storage tiers.[2]
Quest order
- "Flux" quest asks for Flux Dust. Everything else in the chapter comes after it.[2]
- "Flux Configurator" quest asks for the Flux Configurator, and "Flux Core" quest asks for the Flux Core. Both unlock straight after the Flux quest.[2]
- Three quests unlock after the Flux Core: "Flux Point" quest (Flux Point), "Flux Block" quest (Flux Block) and "Flux Plug" quest (Flux Plug).[2]
- "Flux Controller" quest asks for the Flux Controller. It needs the Flux, Flux Block and Flux Core quests done first.[2]
- The storage line starts with "Flux Storage" quest (Tier 1, Basic Flux Storage) after the Flux Block quest. a quest in "Flux Networks" (Tier 2, Herculean Flux Storage) follows it, and a quest in "Flux Networks" (Tier 3, Gargantuan Flux Storage) comes last.[2]
The "Useful mods and Items" chapter also has a "Flux Network" quest quest that asks for a Flux Plug and a Flux Point.[3]
Building the basics
These are the in-pack recipes for the parts the early quests ask for. Start with the Flux Core, since the Point, Block, Plug and Controller quests all come after it.[2][4]

Pack change: copying settings
The pack adds its own recipes for the Flux Point and Flux Plug that use a Flux Configurator. They copy the configurator's limit, network ID, priority, disable limit and surge mode onto the result, and the configurator is kept rather than consumed. This is not part of the base mod.[4][7]
How does Flux Networks work with other mods?
2 parts
The links between Flux Networks and other mods in this pack are small. There is one crafting recipe that uses a Flux Block, and one quest that sits in a general chapter outside the Flux Networks chapter.[3][4]
Neutronium Collector
The Flux Block is one of the ingredients for the Neutronium Collector. This pack changes that recipe, so don't expect the default Avaritia version. It is crafted in an Extended Crafting shaped table, and the grid mixes blocks from many different mods, including Botania, Cataclysm, Draconic Evolution and ProjectE.[4][9]
Shaped Table (extendedcrafting)
Recipe id: avaritia:neutron_collector

Check the recipe above before you start gathering. The Flux Block is only one small part of a very large grid.[4][9]
Where the quests place Flux Networks
The main Flux Networks chapter is in the "Storage and Power" group, chapter 18 of 44 in the quest book. It covers only this mod's items, from "Flux" quest up to the storage tiers.[2]
The book also has a "Flux Network" quest quest in the "Useful mods and Items" chapter, chapter 3 of 44. It asks for the Flux Plug and the Flux Point. That chapter has quests for many other mods, such as "Curvy Pipes" quest, a quest in "Useful mods and Items" and a quest in "Useful mods and Items".[3]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use Flux Networks?
3 parts
Flux Networks has its own chapter in the pack's quest book, also called Flux Networks, in the group "Storage and Power". The chapter walks you through the mod one item at a time, and each quest below tells you what the book asks you to hand in.[2]
The Flux Networks chapter, in order
- "Welcome to Flux Networks" quest is the intro quest. The book asks for a simple checkmark, with nothing to hand in.[2]
- "Flux" quest asks you for Flux Dust. The book places it right after the intro.[2]
- "Flux Configurator" quest asks for the Flux Configurator. The book places it after the Flux quest.[2]
- "Flux Core" quest asks for the Flux Core. The book also places it after the Flux quest.[2]
- "Flux Point" quest asks for the Flux Point. The book places it after the Flux Core quest.[2]
- "Flux Block" quest asks for the Flux Block. The book places it after the Flux Core quest too.[2]
- "Flux Plug" quest asks for the Flux Plug. It also comes after the Flux Core quest.[2]
- "Flux Controller" quest asks for the Flux Controller. The book lists three quests before it: Flux, Flux Block and Flux Core.[2]
The storage line
The chapter ends with three storage quests, each placed after the one before. "Flux Storage" quest is labelled Tier 1, asks for Basic Flux Storage and comes after the Flux Block quest.[2]
Next comes a quest in "Flux Networks", labelled Tier 2, which asks for Herculean Flux Storage. The book gives this quest no title of its own, so it is named after the item. The last one is a quest in "Flux Networks", labelled Tier 3, which asks for Gargantuan Flux Storage and is also untitled in the book.[2]
A second mention elsewhere
Flux Networks also shows up outside its own chapter. The "Useful mods and Items" chapter has a quest called "Flux Network" quest. It asks you for two items: the Flux Plug and the Flux Point.[3]
Which Flux Networks config options matter?
3 parts
Flux Networks keeps its config small in this pack. The two files below are the ones the pack ships, and every value is shown exactly as the pack sets it. The sources don't list the mod's own defaults, so I can't say which of these the pack changed.[6][10]
Common config: fluxnetworks-common.toml
- integration.enableGTCEU is true. This turns on the GTCEU integration if GregTech CE Unofficial Modern is installed. The conversion is 4 FE = 1 GTEU and can't be configured. The EU-to-FE conversion is provided by GTCEU, not Flux Networks, so GTCEU needs nativeEUToPlatformNative enabled and euToPlatformRatio = 4. Changing this setting needs a game or server restart.[6]
- OneProbe.enableOneProbeBasicInfo is true. The One Probe shows the network name, the live transfer rate and the internal buffer.[6]
- OneProbe.enableOneProbeAdvancedInfo is true. This adds extra info such as the transfer limit and priority.[6]
- OneProbe.enableOneProbeSneaking is true. The advanced info only appears while you are sneaking.[6]
Client config: fluxnetworks-client.toml
- gui.enableButtonSound is true. The navigation buttons in the Flux Networks screens play a sound when you press them.[10]
- gui.enableGuiDebug is false. The file describes it as "Enable Modern UI", but the name suggests a debug option, so I wouldn't change it unless you know what you're doing.[10]
Where the rest of the settings live
The common file has a placeholder entry, set to true. Its comment says most configs were moved to /serverconfig/fluxnetworks-server.toml, and that modpacks should copy that file to /defaultconfig/fluxnetworks-server.toml.[6]
Unverified The values in fluxnetworks-server.toml were not available when this section was written, so what the pack sets there (for example transfer limits) is unverified.
