Which AdvancedAE config options matter?

3 parts

Same as in the Project Infinity 0.1 0.0.51.4-hotfix-2 guide

AdvancedAE has two common config sections you will most likely touch: the Quantum Computer and the Quantum Armor cards. Everything below is what this pack's config files actually contain, so these are the values you get in your world.[1]

Quantum Computer sizing

  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxSize]] is 7 in this pack (allowed range 5 to 12). The mod's project page describes the multiblock scaling up to 5x5x5, so go by the config value of 7 for this pack.[1][2]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerAcceleratorThreads]] is 8 threads per Quantum Computer Accelerator (range 4 to 16).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputermaxDataEntanglers]] is 1 and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMaxMultiThreaders]] is 1. Both have a range of 1 to 2, so you get one of each per multiblock here.[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerDataEntanglerMultiplication]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum computer.quantumComputerMultiThreaderMultiplication]] are both 4 (range 2 to 8). That matches the project page, which says the Data Entangler and Multi-Threader multiply storage and co-processors by 4.[1][2]

Quantum Armor card values

Each Quantum Armor card has its own number in the common config. Here is how this pack sets the movement ones. Walk, sprint and swim speed are divided by 10 before use, so the raw numbers look bigger than the effect.[1]

  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxWalkSpeed]] is 60 (range 10 to 100).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxSprintSpeed]] is 80 (range 10 to 150).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorSwimSpeedBoost]] is 80 (range 10 to 150).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxFlightSpeed]] is 10 (range 1 to 15).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxJumpHeight]] and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxStepHeight]] are both 3 (range 1 to 5).[1]

The combat and utility cards are set like this:[1]

  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorPercentageDamageAbsorption]] is 30 (range 5 to 100). It is the maximum percentage of incoming damage absorbed, and it is still limited by the energy buffer in the equipment.[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorEvasionChance]] is 30 percent (range 0 to 100).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorHpBuffer]] is 20 (range 5 to 50) and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorStrengthBoost]] is 10 (range 5 to 50).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorAttackSpeedBoost]] is 5 (range 1 to 10) and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMaxReachBoost]] is 5 (range 1 to 8).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorMagnetRange]] is 12 (range 5 to 15) and [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorLuckBoost]] is 2 (range 1 to 5).[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-common.toml#quantum armor.quantumArmorRenegerationPerTick]] is 10 (range 1 to 20). The value is divided by 10 before use.[1]

Other options

  • Miscellaneous.throughputMonitorCacheSize is 80 (range 40 to 400). It only affects the "Per minute" and "Per 10 minutes" modes of the Throughput Monitor. Higher values give more precision but make the monitor react more slowly to changes.[1]
  • [[config:config/advanced_ae-client.toml#reaction chamber.enableEffects]] is true. It toggles the Reaction Chamber's item rendering, and turning it off saves performance if you run a lot of chambers at once. It is a client-side option, so it is set in the client config file.[3]

Unverified The sources do not show the mod's default values, so it is unconfirmed which of the numbers above the pack changed from default.
