What is Create: Hypertubes?
2 parts
Create: Hypertubes is an addon for Create, inspired by the hypertubes in Satisfactory. It lets you build tube networks that move players and entities around your world, with lots of curves or long straight runs for your logistics.[1]
The pack includes version 0.6.0 of the mod for NeoForge. The mod's own page says it is still in active development, so features may change and bugs are possible.[1][2]
How it works
Getting a network running is simple: power a Hypertube Entrance Block with a cogwheel, then jump in and you get thrown along the tubes. The tube pieces themselves are made with the Hypertube Block.[1][3]
You can use a wrench on the entrance to pick its mode. In Automatic Lock Mode you get pulled into the tube automatically, and you can sneak to avoid that. A wrench also lets you customize how tubes connect.[1]
Since version 0.2.0, fish and villagers can travel through the tubes too. Turn on Automatic Lock Mode and they go for a ride. The mod page also says you can automate tube behavior or detect travellers with Attachments.[1]
Who it is for and where it fits
This is a good fit if you want fast, fun transport or a way to move players and mobs through a big base. The mod page says the parts are designed to fit into your existing Create progression, so you can add it once you are comfortable with cogwheels and rotational power.[1]
In the pack's Create quest chapter, quest "Create: Hypertubes" quest has you obtain the Hypertube Entrance Block and the Hypertube Block. It unlocks after quest 610400303BEAC642 in the same chapter.[3]
How do you get started with Create: Hypertubes?
5 parts
Create: Hypertubes is an addon for Create that lets you build tube networks to carry players and other entities around your world. In this pack, the Create chapter has a quest ("Create: Hypertubes" quest) with two tasks: get a Hypertube Entrance Block and a Hypertube Block. Those are your first goals.[1][3]
Step one: the Hypertube Block
Everything starts with the Hypertube Block. The pack changed this recipe, so don't rely on the mod's defaults. Use this one:[4]

Step two: the Hypertube Funnel
Next comes the Hypertube Funnel. The pack changed this recipe too, and it is worth making early because the entrance, accelerator and splitter recipes all use it.[4]

Step three: the Hypertube Entrance
The Hypertube Entrance Block is where you step in and get launched. Its recipe is the mod's own, and the pack has not changed it.[1][4]

Placing and powering your first line
- Place a tube, then right-click it while holding another tube. Place the second tube and the two are connected.[5]
- You can also connect tubes that are already placed, and you can change a tube's segment count with a wrench.[5]
- Connect the line to an entrance and power the entrance with a cogwheel. It needs at least 16 RPM before you can enter, and the faster it spins, the faster you travel.[1][5]
- Right-click the entrance with a wrench to change its mode.[1][5]
Once your first line works
The Hypertube Accelerator Block increases the speed of entities traveling the tube, and right-clicking it switches it to BRAKE mode. Its recipe is the mod's own.[4][5]

Recipe id: create_hypertube:hyper_accelerator_small_cogwheel
When you want a branching network, the Hypertube Splitter links up to three tubes. While traveling, you pick the route with your movement keys, and a wrench cycles its modes. The pack changed this recipe as well, and it is a mechanical crafting recipe.[4][5]

How does Create: Hypertubes work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Create: Hypertubes is a Create addon inspired by Satisfactory's hypertubes. You build tube networks that move players and other entities around quickly. The mod is still in active development, so features can change and bugs are expected.[1]
Building a tube line
Connecting tubes is simple. Right click a placed Hypertube Block while holding another tube, then place the second one and the connection exists. You can also connect tubes that are already placed. A wrench changes the tube's segment count, and the mod's project page says you can also use it to customize how tubes connect.[1][6][7]
The pack changes the recipe for the Hypertube Block, so don't rely on the mod's default. This is the in-pack version:[7]
Crafting Shaped
| any brass plates | any glass panes | any brass plates |
| any glass panes | Empty slot | any glass panes |
| any brass plates | any glass panes | any brass plates |
Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube
Entrances
An Hypertube Entrance Block connects you to the network. To get in, it has to be powered with at least 16 RPM, and the faster it spins, the faster you travel. A cogwheel driving the entrance is all it takes to get a network running.[1][6][7]
Right click the entrance with a wrench to change its mode. In Automatic Lock Mode you get pulled into the tube automatically, and you can sneak to avoid that. The project page also says that mode is what lets fish and villagers travel the tubes.[1][6]

Both the entrance and the accelerator use the Hypertube Funnel as an ingredient. The pack changes the funnel recipe too.[7]

Accelerators
A Hypertube Accelerator Block increases the speed of entities traveling through the tube. Right click it to switch it to BRAKE mode.[6][7]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | Empty slot | |

Recipe id: create_hypertube:hyper_accelerator_small_cogwheel
Splitters
The Hypertube Splitter links up to three tubes and branches a line into multiple paths. While traveling, you pick which way to go with your movement keys. Right click the splitter with a wrench to cycle its modes.[6]
- Continue mode: travelers always keep going through the side tubes.[6]
- Center mode: travelers are always routed through the front tube.[6]
- A Redstone Detector Attachment can toggle between these two forced modes.[6]
The pack changes the Splitter recipe, and it is a mechanical crafting recipe:[7]

| Empty slot | Empty slot |
Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube_junction
Attachments and automation
Attachments are how you automate a network. You can place them in accelerators, on any side and several at once.[1][6]
- Tube Scanner Attachment: detects entities traveling the tube. The mod's description gives 8 power for babies and 15 for adults.[6][7]
- Redstone Detector Tube Attachment: lets a redstone signal change the mode of an accelerator or entrance. On a splitter it toggles between the two forced modes.[6][7]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_hypertube:redstone_detector_tube_attachment
The Tube Scanner is made by sequenced assembly, and the pack changes that recipe. Its process uses the Unfinished Tube Scanner item.[7]

Recipe id: create_hypertube:sequenced_assembly/tube_scanner
Unverified The sources don't say how much stress the entrance or accelerators use, what the exact travel speeds are, or whether tubes can carry items or fluids. The pack also has no config files for this mod, so none of that is confirmed here.
How do you progress through Create: Hypertubes?
4 parts
Create: Hypertubes doesn't have a big tech tree in this pack. It's a chain where each piece unlocks the next, and the pack changes several of the early recipes. Here's the order I'd follow.[4]
The tube itself
Everything starts with the Hypertube Block. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's default, so use the one shown here.[4]
Crafting Shaped
| any brass plates | any glass panes | any brass plates |
| any glass panes | Empty slot | any glass panes |
| any brass plates | any glass panes | any brass plates |
Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube
Funnel and entrance
Next comes the Hypertube Funnel. The pack changed this recipe too, and it builds directly on the tube you just made.[4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any brass plates | Empty slot |

Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube_funnel
The funnel is a stepping stone for the Hypertube Entrance Block, which uses the mod's own recipe unchanged. The entrance is the block that gets you into the tube network.[4]

Network upgrades
Once you have funnels, you can build the Hypertube Accelerator Block. This is the mod's default recipe.[4]

Recipe id: create_hypertube:hyper_accelerator_small_cogwheel
The Hypertube Splitter (the Hypertube Splitter) is the one to make if you want your network to branch. The pack changed this recipe, and it is a mechanical crafting recipe rather than a normal crafting-table one.[4]

Attachments
The Redstone Detector Tube Attachment is the first of the tube attachments. It uses the mod's default recipe.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: create_hypertube:redstone_detector_tube_attachment
The last step is the Tube Scanner Attachment. It is made through a Create sequenced assembly, and the pack changed this recipe from the mod's default. The Redstone Detector attachment feeds into it, so make that one first. The assembly passes through the Unfinished Tube Scanner item along the way.[4]

How does Create: Hypertubes work with other mods?
3 parts
Create: Hypertubes is an addon for Create, so almost everything it connects to in this pack is Create itself. The recipes below also pull in one vanilla item, the Comparator, and every one of them needs Create parts or Create crafting methods.[1][4]
The link starts the moment you want to use a tube. The project page says you get a network running by powering a Hypertube Entrance Block with a Cogwheel, so your tubes plug straight into your existing Create kinetic setup.[1][4]
Crafting with Create parts
The Hypertube Entrance Block and the Hypertube Accelerator Block are both shaped crafting recipes, and both use the Hypertube Funnel. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions.[4]

Pack-changed recipes
The Hypertube Splitter (the Hypertube Splitter) is made with Create's mechanical crafting, and the pack changed this recipe. Don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[4]

Automation follows the same pattern. The Redstone Detector Tube Attachment is a shaped crafting recipe that mixes Create items with a vanilla comparator. The Tube Scanner Attachment is a Create sequenced assembly recipe, which the pack also changed.[4]

Quest
The "create" quest chapter has a quest, "Create: Hypertubes" quest, that asks you to get both the Hypertube Entrance Block and the Hypertube Block. It unlocks after another quest has been completed.[3]
Which FTB Skies 2 quests use Create: Hypertubes?
Hypertubes show up in one quest in the pack, and it lives in the Create chapter. That's the only quest involving this mod that I can confirm.[3]
The quest "Create: Hypertubes" quest has no title in the quest book. It's a simple item-submission quest: you hand in a Hypertube Entrance Block and a Hypertube Block.[3]
It unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, ID 610400303BEAC642, so you'll need to finish that one first. The sources don't say what that prerequisite asks for, so check it in your quest book.[3]
Unverified Rewards for this quest, and the quest's position among the other Create chapter quests, aren't shown in the sources, so I can't say what you get for completing it.
Which Create: Hypertubes config options matter?
4 parts
Hypertubes has a server config and a client config. The speed multiplier and both stress impacts are left at the mod default in this pack. Here are the options you're most likely to touch and the values the pack uses.[8][9]
Who and what can travel
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.entityListMode]] is set to BLACKLIST in this pack. That means every entity can travel except the ones on the blacklist. The other modes are TAG_ONLY, WHITELIST and TAG_WITH_BLACKLIST. TAG_ONLY uses only the 'create_hypertube:traveller_entities' tag from datapacks, and TAG_WITH_BLACKLIST uses that tag but excludes the blacklisted entities.[9]
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.entityBlacklist]] holds minecraft:wither and minecraft:ender_dragon in this pack, so those two can't ride the tubes.[9]
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.entityWhitelist]] lists minecraft:player, minecraft:villager, minecraft:wandering_trader and create:package. It is only used when the mode is WHITELIST, so while the pack runs BLACKLIST this list does nothing.[9]
Speed
[[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.speedMultiplier]] is 1, which is normal tube speed and the same as the mod default. It accepts values from 0.5 to 99.0, but the config itself labels it highly experimental, so raise it with care.[9]
Stress
[[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Stress Settings.entranceStressImpact]] for the Hyper Entrance and [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Stress Settings.acceleratorStressImpact]] for the Hyper Accelerator are both 4 in this pack. That matches the mod default, and each can be set anywhere from 0.0 to 100.0.[9]
Collision and camera
[[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Collision Settings.tubeCollision]] is true. Tubes have solid collision along their curved path, so you can stand on them and mobs can't walk through, while travelers still pass through freely.[9]
Gameplay.allowFPVInsideTheTube is false, which is also the mod's default and is described as the better experience. If you want to ride in first person, the mod page says you can enable FPV in the config files.[1][8]
What changed in Create: Hypertubes between versions?
5 parts
FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 ships Create: Hypertubes 0.6.0, the NeoForge build, and the mod was already in the pack by 1.0.1 or earlier. I have no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own release notes. Those notes describe the mod in general, so treat them as what changed in the mod, not as pack-specific values.[2]
0.6.0 (the version in this pack)
- Tube segments now have collisions. The update is backward-compatible, but tubes that were already placed don't gain collision.[10]
- New Tube Escape mechanic: hold the Sneak key while traveling through a tube to get out of a soft lock.[10]
- New camera transition when entering and exiting tubes, and camera movement is much smoother.[10]
- The Hypertube Splitter has a Ponder scene, and you can view its path while wearing Goggles.[10]
- You can place tubes continuously, and angle detection when placing is better.[10]
- Lights now illuminate only the adjacent tube segment instead of the whole connected tube.[10]
0.5.0-ALPHA: the Splitter and Junction update
This release introduced the Junction System built on the Hypertube Splitter, so you can build branching tube networks with several possible paths. Junctions can redirect travelers with redstone or manually with WASD. You can see the selected path with Goggles and change the Junction mode with a Wrench. It was labelled an alpha test version meant to gather feedback.[11]
It also fixed client and server desync during tube travel, reduced visual jitter, reworked some crafting recipes, and made Hypertube Accelerators play a higher-pitched sound when you pass through.[11]
0.4.0: Ponder and Sable
- You can use Ponder on all Hypertube items and blocks. Travel and placement became block-relative so WorldEdit works properly, though rotating with WorldEdit is still a bit messy. The notes warn this update may break tube connections from versions before 0.3.0.[12]
- A separate 0.4.0-SABLE-COMPAT build fixed compatibility with Sable.[13]
0.3.0: the automation era
- You can fully customize which entities may travel through tubes, via config or datapack.[14]
- New Tube Attachments: the Tube Scanner Attachment emits a redstone signal when any entity passes through, and the Redstone Detector Attachment changes the tube state when powered.[14]
- Players now always exit from the front of the tube. Fixes also covered a camera crash with Immersive Portals, a Steam 'n Rails dismount issue, and tube desync when changing the segment amount.[14]
Earlier releases
- 0.2.6: packages can travel through tubes (experimental), and Entrances and Accelerators apply a configurable stress impact. A hotfix followed that fixed a server crash when breaking the Accelerator block.[15][16]
- 0.2.4: leaving a tube with an Elytra automatically sets you flying, and exit direction and Elytra behavior inside the tube were fixed.[17]
- 0.2.3: a major rework of the player movement system, and Hypertube Cannons behave more consistently.[18]
- 0.2.2: particles appear when the entrance is open, and players can no longer fly out of the tube.[19]
- 0.2.1: a hotfix for tube render twisting at the end and vertical tube placement issues.[20]
- 0.1.5: tubes now default to Manual Lock Mode when placed, which may break some already placed tubes. It also added notification messages when you try to travel and fixed several lag-related crashes and teleports.[21]

|---|---|---|
Gameplay.allowFPVInsideTheTube Allow first-person view inside the tube. Default is false for better experience. config/create_hypertube-client.toml | false | not documented |
Collision Settings.tubeCollision Whether hypertubes have solid collision along their curved path. When true, entities collide with it (you can stand on it, mobs can't pass through); travelers still pass through freely. When false, tubes are visual-only with no collision along the curve. Note: disabling only stops NEW tubes from gaining collision - existing tubes keep theirs until they are reconnected. config/create_hypertube-server.toml | true | not documented |
Travel Settings.entityBlacklist Entities that CANNOT travel (used in BLACKLIST and TAG_WITH_BLACKLIST modes). Use entity registry names like 'minecraft:creeper' or 'minecraft:wither' config/create_hypertube-server.toml | ["minecraft:wither","minecraft:ender_dragon"] | not documented |
Travel Settings.entityListMode How to handle entity travel permissions: TAG_ONLY - Use only the 'create_hypertube:traveller_entities' tag from datapacks WHITELIST - Only entities in the whitelist can travel (ignores tag) BLACKLIST - All entities can travel except those in the blacklist TAG_WITH_BLACKLIST - Use tag but exclude entities in the blacklist config/create_hypertube-server.toml | BLACKLIST | not documented |
Travel Settings.entityWhitelist Entities that CAN travel (only used when mode is WHITELIST). Use entity registry names like 'minecraft:villager' or 'create:package' config/create_hypertube-server.toml | ["minecraft:player","minecraft:villager","minecraft:wandering_trader","create:package"] | not documented |
