What is Create: Hypertubes?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide
Create: Hypertubes is an addon for Create, inspired by the hypertubes in Satisfactory. You build tube systems that move players and entities around your world, with curves or long straight runs. This pack includes version 0.6.0.[1][2]
The mod fits into normal Create progression. To get a tube running, power a Hypertube Entrance with a cogwheel, then jump in and you get thrown along the tube.[1]
What you can do with it
- Use a wrench on the Hypertube Entrance to pick its mode. In Automatic Lock Mode you can sneak to avoid being pulled into the tube.[1]
- Since version 0.2.0, fish and villagers can travel through the tubes too. Turn on Automatic Lock Mode and they go.[1]
- Use a wrench to customize how tubes connect visually.[1]
- Attachments let you automate tube behavior or detect travellers.[1]
- The project page marks tube collision, an accelerator, a splitter/junction, a Hypertube Cannon and redstone automation as done. Colored tubes and customizations are still planned.[1]
- First person view can be enabled in the mod's config files.[1]
How do you get started with Create: Hypertubes?
4 parts
Create: Hypertubes is a Create addon, inspired by Satisfactory, that lets you build tube networks to move players and entities across your world. The mod is still in active development, so features may change and bugs are expected. The pack's quest book has nothing on this mod, so this page follows the recipes and the mod's own description.[1]
First: make the tube
Start with the Hypertube Block. Here is the in-pack recipe:[3]

Second: make an entrance
Next, craft the Hypertube Entrance Block. The mod's description says you jump into a Hypertube Entrance to be thrown across your world, and it notes the mod is still in active development, so features may change.[1][3]

Third: power it and go
The mod's description says that powering a Hypertube Entrance with a cogwheel is all it takes to get your network running. Keep in mind the mod is still in active development, so details may change.[1]
Tweak it with a wrench
- The mod's description says you can use a wrench on the entrance to select your preferred mode.[1]
- With Automatic Lock Mode, you can sneak to avoid being pulled into the tube.[1]
- The description says that since version 0.2.0, fish and villagers can travel through the tubes when Automatic Lock Mode is on.[1]
- You can also use a wrench to customize how tube pieces connect.[1]
Once you are comfortable with the basics, the mod also offers attachments, which you can use to automate tube behavior or detect travellers.[1]
How does Create: Hypertubes work?
5 parts
Create: Hypertubes is a Create addon inspired by Satisfactory's Hypertubes. You build tube networks that carry players and other entities across your world. This page covers what the sources confirm about how the system works in this pack.[1]
Building the network
The main building blocks are the Hypertube Block for the tube itself and the Hypertube Entrance Block where travellers get in. Both are made in the crafting table in this pack.[1][3]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube_entrance
To get a network running, power the entrance with a cogwheel. After that you can jump into the entrance and get thrown along the tube. You can shape the tubes with many curves or build long, efficient straight runs.[1]
You can also customize how tube pieces connect just by using a wrench on them.[1]
Entrance modes
Use a wrench on the Hypertube Entrance Block to pick its mode. With Automatic Lock Mode, you get pulled into the tube. If you don't want that, sneak and you won't be pulled in.[1][3]
Fish and villagers
Fish and villagers can travel through the tubes too. Turn on Automatic Lock Mode on the entrance and they get pulled in.[1]
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.allowVillagerTravel]] is set to true in this pack, so villagers can use the tubes.[4]
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.allowFishTravel]] is also true in this pack. The config marks fish travel as experimental, so expect some rough edges.[4]
Camera while travelling
Gameplay.allowFPVInsideTheTube is false in this pack. That means first-person view inside the tube is off. The config describes this as the better experience, and you can switch it on in the client config if you prefer first person.[1][5]
Automation
The mod page says you can automate tube behavior, or detect travellers, using Attachments.[1]
How do you progress through Create: Hypertubes?
2 parts
The recipe dump for Create: Hypertubes lists only the Hypertube Block and the Hypertube Entrance Block as crafted items. There is no ladder of tiers to climb. Both are shaped crafting recipes that come from the mod itself, so the pack has not changed them.[3]
Hypertube Block
The recipe accepts any glass pane as one of its inputs, and the other input is a Create item. One craft gives you 16 blocks.[3]

Hypertube Entrance Block
The entrance is also shaped crafting. It uses parts from Create, so you will want those on hand before you craft it.[3]

How does Create: Hypertubes work with other mods?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.5 guide
Create: Hypertubes is an addon for Create, and it is built so its components fit into your existing Create progression. In this pack, the main crossover with other mods is the recipe for the Hypertube Entrance Block, the block you jump into to get launched through your tube network.[1][6]
Crafting Shaped

| Empty slot | Empty slot | |
| Empty slot | Empty slot |
Recipe id: create_hypertube:hypertube_entrance
Uses Create components plus a vanilla item
The entrance is a shaped crafting recipe that combines parts from Create with a vanilla Minecraft item, so you'll build your first entrance from your existing Create setup.[6]
Create also powers the entrance once it's placed. Hook the Hypertube Entrance Block up to a Cogwheel to feed it rotational power, and it's ready to go.[1]
Which Create: Hypertubes config options matter?
2 parts
Create: Hypertubes has only a few config options, and they all control who can ride the tubes and how the ride looks. Here is how this pack sets each one.[4][5]
First-person view inside the tube
Gameplay.allowFPVInsideTheTube is set to false in this pack. The config comment says false is the mod's default, chosen for a better experience, so the pack hasn't changed it. The mod page says you can enable first-person view in the config files if you prefer it. This is a client-side file, so you change it on your own machine.[1][5]
Who can travel
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.allowVillagerTravel]] is true in this pack, so villagers can go through the tubes.[4]
- [[config:config/create_hypertube-server.toml#Travel Settings.allowFishTravel]] is true in this pack, so fish can go through the tubes. The config marks this feature as experimental, so expect some quirks.[4]
The mod page says fish and villagers have been able to travel since version 0.2.0. To send them through, turn on Automatic Lock Mode on the Hypertube Entrance, which you switch with a wrench.[1]
What changed in Create: Hypertubes between versions?
4 parts
FTB Skies 2 1.5.1 ships Create: Hypertubes 0.2.4, and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.1 or earlier. I don't have any pack changelog entries for it, so this is the mod's own release notes, newest first. It covers the releases I have notes for, not every version in between.[7]
0.2.4 (the version in this pack)
- New: when you leave the Hypertube with an Elytra, you are set to flying automatically.[8]
- Changed: the collision block check now shows the block nearest to the player.[8]
- Fixed: you now exit the tube in the correct direction, Elytra behavior inside the tube is fixed, and the remaining tube twist rendering issues are sorted.[8]
The developer called this a small update and said the next one would bring Ponder compatibility, splitters and smart tubes. Those are plans from the 0.2.4 notes, not features confirmed in this pack.[7][8]
0.2.3
- Changed: major rework of the player movement system, and Hypertube Cannons now behave more consistently.[9]
- Fixed: the humanoid model being loaded on the server, entities and players visually popping out of the tube, camera movement, and cape rendering inside the tube.[9]
- Removed: the latency check.[9]
0.2.2 and 0.2.1
- 0.2.2 added particles when the entrance is open.[10]
- 0.2.2 fixed a rendering glitch on vertical tubes and players being able to fly out of the tube.[10]
- 0.2.1 was a hotfix for tube render twisting at the end and vertical tube placement issues.[11]
0.1.5
- Changed: tubes now default to Manual Lock Mode when placed, and there are new notification messages when you attempt to travel.[12]
- Fixed: a server crash when a player is lagging, teleportation caused by lag, and a softlock when entering a tube while lagging.[12]
- Fixed: a player render conflict with the Better Third Person mod, incorrect player orientation, and the travel state persisting when switching worlds.[12]
