What is XyCraft World?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide
XyCraft World is part of this pack's mod list. The pack ships version 0.7.53 (xycraft_world-0.7.53.jar), and the mod has been in the pack since 1.0.1 or earlier.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what XyCraft World adds or how its features work, so this guide makes no claims about its blocks, items or mechanics. The sources also don't place the mod in the pack's quest book.
How do you get started with XyCraft World?

XyCraft World adds Kivi, Xychorium gems and a big range of building blocks such as aluminum bricks and lamps. This pack adds its own recipes for the gems, so the order below is a practical way to start: get Kivi, get the gems, then build.[2][3]
Get some Kivi
Kivi is the first thing to sort out. The mod has three extractor recipes that make it: a plain one, one with a waterlogged catalyst and one with a lava catalyst. The pack also adds its own crafting recipe that gives 16 Kivi at once.[2]

Collect Xychorium gems
The pack adds many ways to get Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem and Green Xychorium Gem. Crushing and grinding recipes turn Kivi ore or gem ore into gems in machines from Ender IO, Energized Power, FTB Industrial Contraptions, Horse Powered, LTX Industries, Occultism and Oritech. Use whichever machine you already have.[2]
Some of these give extra. The Occultism crushing and Horse Powered grinding recipes for Kivi ore each give 2 gems of the matching colour. The Ender IO deepslate recipes also return cobbled deepslate.[2]

Occultism crushing gives 2 Blue Xychorium Gems per craft.
The Blue gem has a few more routes. Hephaestus Forge can cast it from 90 units of Molten Xychorium, and Neo Vitae has smelting and blasting recipes for xychorium dust that give it too. There is also a pack-added crafting recipe that makes 2 Blue gems.[2]

Start building
Many of the building blocks come from the stonecutter: the mod has 140 stonecutting recipes. Try Aluminum Bricks first, then move on to Aluminum Brick Slab and coloured variants such as Blue Aluminum Bricks. The recipes are shown below.[2]

Add some light
Once you have a base, you can add light with the RGB Lamp and the Inverted RGB Lamp. The Glowing Glass Viewer is made the same way, and the recipes are shown below.[2]

How does XyCraft World work?

Here is the honest picture for XyCraft World in this pack: the data I have covers how its ores and geysers generate and how its items are made. It does not cover machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or automation, so I am not going to guess at those. What follows is what the pack data does show.[2][4][5]
Ore and rock generation
Everything below generates in Overworld biomes, as extra features added by the mod's own biome modifiers.[6][7][8][9]
- Aluminum ore: veins of size 28 with a rarity filter of 2, placed between 30 and 120 blocks above the bottom of the world, in the underground ores step. The vein replaces stone with Aluminum Ore, deepslate with Deepslate Aluminum Ore, and Kivi rock with Kivi Aluminum Ore.[3][4][6][10]
- Kivi: veins of size 64 with a rarity filter of 2, placed from 0 to 60, replacing the Overworld base stone. It generates in the raw generation step.[7][11][12]
- Marble: generated just like Kivi, with veins of size 64, a rarity filter of 2, a height of 0 to 60, and replacing the Overworld base stone.[8][13][14]
- Blue, dark and green Xychorium ores: veins of size 8, placed 2 times per chunk-square pass with a trapezoid height distribution between 40 and 120 blocks above the bottom of the world. Each colour has a stone, a deepslate and a Kivi-rock variant.[9][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22]
- Light and red Xychorium ores use the same numbers: size 8, a count of 2, a trapezoid height between 40 and 120 above the bottom of the world, and stone, deepslate and Kivi-rock variants.[23][24][25][26][27][28]
Geysers
Geysers come from a structure set that spreads them randomly with a spacing of 15 and a separation of 7. When one is picked, a surface geyser has a weight of 3 and an underground geyser has a weight of 1, so you will see surface ones more often.[5]
Both kinds place a geyser block surrounded by dripstone blocks. The surface version only appears in dry, mountain, plains, hill, jungle, forest, taiga, savanna and badlands biomes, while the underground version can appear in any Overworld biome.[29][30]

The mod has a recipe type called xycraft:extractor, and this one makes Kivi.

Xychorium gems in the pack
The pack adds a lot of processing recipes that output the Blue Xychorium Gem (Blue Xychorium Gem) from other mods' machines. These include the sag mill in Ender IO, the pulverizer in Energized Power, the macerator in FTB Industrial Contraptions, grinding in LTX Industries, and the pulverizer and fragment forge in Oritech.[2]
Two of these give you double: the Occultism crushing recipe and the Horse Powered grinding recipe each output 2 Blue Xychorium Gems. The Dark Xychorium Gem (Dark Xychorium Gem) has pack-added recipes in the Ender IO sag mill, which also returns cobbled deepslate, and in the Energized Power pulverizer.[2]

Building blocks via the stonecutter
Most of the mod's decorative blocks come through the stonecutter: the recipe dump has 140 stonecutting recipes that make XyCraft World blocks. Aluminum comes in plain, and in blue, dark, green, light and red versions, such as bricks, pillars, tiles, trims and slabs.[2][3]

How do you progress through XyCraft World?

The sources here don't show a single tier ladder for XyCraft World. What they do show is how its materials are obtained in this pack: Kivi, five colours of Xychorium gem, and the aluminum building blocks. Here is how each one is made.[2]
Kivi
Kivi comes from the mod's extractor. There is a plain extractor recipe plus variants for a water catalyst, a lava catalyst and a waterlogged catalyst.[2]

The pack also adds a shaped crafting recipe, with an essence-style id, that makes 16 Kivi in one go.[2]
Xychorium gems
The gems come in blue, dark, green, light and red: Blue Xychorium Gem, Dark Xychorium Gem, Green Xychorium Gem, Light Xychorium Gem and Red Xychorium Gem. The pack adds a lot of machine routes that turn Kivi ore and gem ores into gems, so you can use whichever tech you reach first.[2]
- Horse Powered grinding and Occultism crushing give 2 gems for the Kivi ore recipes shown for blue, dark, green and light.[2]
- Ender IO sag milling turns Kivi ore into a gem. Its deepslate gem ore recipes also give cobbled deepslate alongside the gem.[2]
- Energized Power pulverizer, FTB Industrial Contraptions macerating, LTX Industries grinding and Oritech pulverizer and fragment forge recipes each give a single gem in the examples shown.[2]
- Neo Vitae smelting and blasting recipes with xychorium dust in their ids give a Blue Xychorium Gem.[2]
- The pack's essence-named crafting recipes make 2 gems per craft for blue, dark, green and light.[2]
If you have a Hephaestus Forge casting setup, the pack lets you cast a Blue Xychorium Gem from 90 units of molten xychorium. There is also a mod unpacking recipe that makes 9 Blue Xychorium Gems at once.[2]

Building and decoration
The aluminum blocks are made with the stonecutter. Examples include Aluminum Bricks, Aluminum Brick Slab (2 per cut) and the coloured Blue Aluminum Bricks, Dark Aluminum Bricks and Green Aluminum Bricks. In total the dump counts 140 stonecutting recipes that make XyCraft World blocks.[2]
The RGB Lamp, the Inverted RGB Lamp and the Glowing Glass Viewer are all shapeless crafting recipes.[2]
How does XyCraft World work with other mods?

XyCraft World connects to other mods in this pack in two ways that the sources confirm: a casting recipe that the pack adds, and a custom storage cell made with a script.[2][31]
Hephaestus Forge: casting Blue Xychorium Gems
The pack adds a Hephaestus Forge casting table recipe that turns ftb:molten_xychorium into a Blue Xychorium Gem. It takes 90 units of the molten fluid per gem. This recipe is added by the pack, so you won't find it in the mods' own defaults.[2]

MEInfinityCell: an infinity cell for Kivi
A startup script in the pack registers a set of infinity cells using the cell type from MEInfinityCell. Most of them are set to common blocks like dirt, sand and netherrack. One of them is set to Kivi, so Kivi from XyCraft World gets its own infinity cell, just like the vanilla blocks do.[31]
