What is IntegratedTunnels?
This page covers IntegratedTunnels as it ships in this pack. The pack includes version 1.8.17, from the file IntegratedTunnels-1.18.2-1.8.17.jar.[1]
It is not a new addition. The mod was first included in version 2.4 of the pack or earlier, so it has been part of the pack for several releases.[1]
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy around, and the crafting follows one simple chain. You craft an interface, upgrade it into an importer or exporter, then upgrade that into a world version. Here is the order I'd go in, using the real in-pack recipes.[2]
First: the Item Interface
Start with the Part Interface Item. The item, fluid and energy importers and exporters are all crafted from an interface, so it is the base of everything else. The recipe also uses an Integrated Dynamics item, so you will want that part of the pack set up first.[2]

The Item Interface is a shaped recipe, unlike the upgrades that follow.
Next: the Item Importer and Exporter
Next, turn the interface into an Part Importer Item to pull items in, and an Part Exporter Item to push items out. These are shapeless recipes, so you just combine the pieces in the grid.[2]

Then: the world parts
Once those work, you can move on to the world parts. The Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item are each made from the matching item importer or exporter.[2]

The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, build on the item importer and exporter as well. Their recipes also need a diamond pickaxe, so have one ready. The advancements describe the block importer as breaking blocks and the block exporter as placing them.[2][3]

Last: the Player Simulator
The Part Player Simulator comes last. Its recipe needs both world item parts and both world block parts, plus an emerald, so craft it once the rest are done.[2]

If you like a checklist, the mod has advancements for crafting the item interface, importer and exporter, the world item and block parts, and the Player Simulator.[3]
How does IntegratedTunnels work?
8 parts
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy between your Integrated Dynamics network and the world. They fall into a few families: interfaces, importers and exporters, world importers and exporters, and the player simulator. Once you know what each family does, the rest of the mod is mostly settings on top.[3][4]
Interfaces
The Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy expose a storage to the network. The network can then read it for item, fluid or energy handling. In this pack the interfaces have a base energy usage of 0 for item, fluid and energy.[3][4][5]

Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_item
The fluid and energy interfaces have their own recipes in the pack.
There are also filtering versions: Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid and Part Interface Filter Energy. A Filtering Item Interface can expose an inventory's contents only during daytime, or pass only items from a certain mod. Both examples come from the mod's advancements.[3][4]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_filter_item
The filtering item interface is made from the plain item interface.
Filtering interfaces have separate switches for where the filter applies. The first applies it to insertions into the network, and the other applies it to extractions from the network, including views. There is also an option to pass everything if the filter is disabled for insertion or extraction.[3]
Importers and exporters
Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid and Part Importer Energy bring things into the network. Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy send things out of it. For example, an item importer aspect reads "Import items if the boolean is true", and there are matching export aspects for fluids and energy.[3][4]
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_importer_item
Importers are crafted from the matching interface.
Crafting Shapeless
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_exporter_item
Exporters are crafted from the matching interface too.
You can also feed in a fluid variable instead of a plain boolean. The fluid aspects, for instance, can export, import or filter "the given fluid". An advancement has you use the Enchantable Operator to export every enchantable item into an inventory.[3]
Matching and amount options
The aspects let you fine-tune what counts as a match and how much moves. These are the ones the sources describe:[3]
- Blacklist: everything except the items in the given list is handled.[3]
- Empty is any: an empty value matches everything. Otherwise it matches nothing.[3]
- Exact amount: ingredients only move if their slot contains exactly the given amount.[3]
- Check stack size, fluid check amount and energy check amount: only exactly the given amount may move in one tick, not less.[3]
- NBT options for items and fluids: require NBT, subset, superset and recursive checking of nested tags and lists.[3]
- Round robin: interfaces are iterated in circular order, ignoring priorities.[3]
- Passive IO: whether the target may insert into or extract from the network.[3]
- Craft: whether the instance should be crafted if it is not present in the network.[3]
Reading the network
The mod also has read aspects for storage on the network. They give you the total item count, the total fluid amount, and the upper limit of what can be stored. They can also give the count of a specific item or fluid, the number of valid item or fluid interfaces, and a list of all items or fluids in the network. Use these to build conditions like "export until the inventory holds 10 items", which is what an advancement asks of you.[3]
World parts
The world importers and exporters work with the world itself. There are block, item, fluid and energy versions: Part Importer World Block, Part Exporter World Block, Part Importer World Item, Part Exporter World Item, Part Importer World Fluid, Part Exporter World Fluid, Part Importer World Energy and Part Exporter World Energy.[3][4]
- The block parts pick up or place blocks in the world. An advancement has you break Stone with a World Block Importer, and another has you place any log with a World Block Exporter using the logs tag list.[3]
- The item parts pick up items from the world or place items into it. An advancement has you pick up 5 items at a time with a World Item Importer.[3]
- The fluid parts pick up or place fluids in the world.[3]
- The entity aspects can also import or export energy, fluids and items to and from the facing entities.[3]
Crafting Shapeless

World exporters and importers are crafted from the regular part plus a Logic Director.
World placement can be tuned with a few number aspects. The offsets on each axis take a value between 0 and 1. Yaw and pitch (left/right and up/down rotation) take -180 to 180 degrees. Entity velocity takes a value between 0 and 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one. Another option makes the block break only if it produces drops.[3]
Player Simulator
The Part Player Simulator acts like a player clicking in the world. It can click with any item or with an empty hand. You can also choose to simulate sneaking, and whether the click is continuous or each click takes one tick. An advancement has you click with a Diamond Sword using it.[3][4]

Energy use in this pack
Every part has a base energy usage set in the pack's config. The plain importers and exporters use 1 each, and the interfaces use 0. The world importers, world exporters and the player simulator each have a value for when the part has no variable and another for when it has a variable. The pack's values are listed below.[5]
- World block, item, fluid and energy importers and exporters use 1 without a variable and 32 with a variable. For example, general.general.importerWorldItemBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 and general.general.importerWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled is 32, and general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1 while general.general.exporterWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled is 32.[5]
- The player simulator uses 1 without a variable and 64 with one, set by general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled.[5]
- Item, fluid and energy importers and exporters use 1 each, for example general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterEnergyBaseConsumption.[5]
- Item, fluid and energy interfaces use 0, for example general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption.[5]
The config only calls these values "base energy usage" and gives no unit, so treat them as relative costs.[5]
Transfer behaviour and safety settings
The pack's config sets a few global behaviours. core.general.fluidRateLimit is the maximum network fluid transfer rate, set to 2,147,483,647. core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10, which is how many ticks importers and exporters sleep before checking a previously unchanged target again.[5]
core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so particles and sounds play when tunnels interact with the world.[5]
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
In this pack, IntegratedTunnels parts are built from each other, so your progression is a ladder of crafting recipes: interfaces first, then importers and exporters, then the world versions, and finally the player simulator.[2]
Unverified The sources available for this guide show no quest involving IntegratedTunnels, so this section follows the in-pack crafting recipes only. Check the pack's quest book if you want to know whether the mod is mentioned there.
Interfaces
Everything starts with the interfaces: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. There is a version for each resource type, and every later part builds on one of them. These interfaces are shaped recipes.[2]

Importers and exporters
Next come the parts that actually move things around. Importers and exporters exist for items, fluids and energy: Part Importer Item, Part Importer Fluid, Part Importer Energy, Part Exporter Item, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Exporter Energy. They are all shapeless recipes built from the matching interface, so make the interface first.[2]

World parts
The world importers and exporters are the next step up from the regular ones: Part Importer World Item, Part Importer World Fluid, Part Importer World Energy, Part Exporter World Item, Part Exporter World Fluid and Part Exporter World Energy. The recipe below shows the world item exporter.[2]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
The recipes in this pack tie IntegratedTunnels closely to Integrated Dynamics. Every IntegratedTunnels part recipe in the recipe data uses Integrated Dynamics items, and some also use vanilla Minecraft items. So you need Integrated Dynamics materials before you can build any tunnel part.[2]
Interface parts
The interface parts are the base for the importers and exporters. You get a version for items, fluids and energy: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. These are shaped recipes, and each uses Crystallized Menril Chunk from Integrated Dynamics. The energy version also uses Energy Battery, and the fluid version uses Bucket.[2]

Importers and exporters
The importers and exporters are shapeless recipes that start from the matching interface part. Importers use Input Variable Transformer, and exporters use Output Variable Transformer. That makes the Integrated Dynamics variable transformers the link between an interface and the importer or exporter built from it.[2]

World variants
The world importers and exporters for items, fluids and energy are crafted with Logic Director. Each is built from the regular importer or exporter of the same type.[2]
The block variants, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, also use Logic Director and a vanilla Diamond Pickaxe. They are built from the item importer and item exporter.[2]

Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?
4 parts
IntegratedTunnels keeps its settings in the common config file, covering general behaviour and the base energy cost of each tunnel part. Here is how this pack sets the options you are most likely to care about.[5]
Item safety
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. When a tunnel breaks a block and not all of the drops fit into the target, the extra items are ejected into the world. If it were off, they would be voided.[5]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. If item movement fails because an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode, the items are ejected into the world. With this disabled, items can be voided.[5]
Speed and feel
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. If an importer or exporter finds its target unchanged, it sleeps for 10 ticks before checking again.[5]
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is 2,147,483,647. This is the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[5]
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so you get particles and sounds whenever tunnels interact with the world.[5]
Energy costs
Plain item, fluid and energy importers and exporters each have a base consumption of 1. Examples are general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption. The item, fluid and energy interfaces cost 0, for example general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption.[5]
The world importers and exporters, which cover blocks, items, fluids and energy, each have a Disabled setting and an Enabled setting. The Disabled setting applies when the part has no variable, and it is 1. The Enabled setting applies when the part has a variable, and it is 32. Examples are general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled.[5]
The player simulator is the most expensive part. general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled is 1, and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled is 64 when it has a variable.[5]
Housekeeping
core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are both true in this pack. The first allows an anonymous mod startup analytics request, and the second enables the version checker.[5]
