What is IntegratedDynamics?
Integrated Dynamics is part of the pack, and this pack ships version 1.13.5 of it (built for Minecraft 1.18.2). It has been in the pack since version 2.4 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what the mod does, who it suits best, or where it fits in the pack's progression. There are also no confirmed quests or ATM Star path steps for it, so I'm not guessing at any of that here. Check back once more details are added.
How do you get started with IntegratedDynamics?
6 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
Almost everything in Integrated Dynamics runs on one resource: Menril. Your first job is to find a Menril tree. They are easiest to find in Meneglin biomes, and chopping one down gets you your first Menril Log.[2]
Step 1: Menril wood
Menril logs work like any other wood. Turn them into Menril Planks for building, and craft Menril Torches from Menril Berries if you pick some up. Save most of your logs, though, because they are what you process into the mod's crystal material.[2][3]

Step 2: The Drying Basin
Next, build a Drying Basin. The mod's progression has you process Menril Log into Menril Resin, then dry that resin to get Crystallized Menril Resin. The basin is the drying half of that chain, and crafting one counts as an advancement.[2][3]

Unverified The sources don't show which block turns Menril Logs into Menril Resin, or the exact output of the drying step. The Squeezer is the likely candidate, but check JEI in-game to confirm. This site does hold All the Mods - Gravitas's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 3: Crystallized Menril
Once you have crystallized Menril, keep a stock of both Crystallized Menril Chunk and Block of Crystallized Menril. You can convert between the two in either direction, so nothing gets locked in. Chunks go into cables, the Labeller, Facades, the Materializer and more. Blocks are needed for the Logic Programmer and the Energy Battery.[3]

Step 4: Logic Cables and the Logic Programmer
Logic Cable is the backbone of every network, so craft a good batch. One of the early advancements asks you to build a logic network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables, which makes a nice first goal.[2][3]

Then make a Logic Programmer. This is where you define values on Variable Cards, for example a constant Integer. If you'd rather carry it around, you can craft it into a Portable Logic Programmer and back again.[2][3]

Step 5: Readers, writers and displays
Readers and writers are built from transformers. Readers such as the Part Block Reader need an Input Variable Transformer. Writers and the Part Display Panel need an Output Variable Transformer. The Display Panel also needs a Part Static Light Panel.[3]

Step 6: Power, when you're ready
The Energy Battery is your gateway to powered machines. It goes into the Generator, the Mechanical Drying Basin and the Mechanical Squeezer. Build one once you have spare Crystallized Menril blocks and want to automate your Menril processing.[3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work?
4 parts
Integrated Dynamics is built around logic networks. You link blocks together with Logic Cable and attach parts that read from or write to the world around the network. The pack's own advancement for this asks you to build a network with at least 10 connected Logic Cables.[4]

Readers, writers and variables
Readers turn what they see into values. You store those values on a Variable Card, process them with operators, and show the result in a Display Panel or send it to a writer. The advancements cover this flow: craft a Variable Card, put an Integer card in a Display Panel, and let a Redstone Writer output a level that a Redstone Reader captured.[4]
The reader aspects show how much a network can see. Here is what the sources confirm:[4]
- Energy (FE): you can check whether a target can provide or receive FE, whether it is empty or full, and its fill ratio (the FE in the target divided by its capacity).[4]
- Fluids: you can check whether the target has a fluid tank, whether it is empty, full or non-empty, and read the fluid and the tank's fill ratio.[4]
- Inventories: you can check whether the target has an inventory, and whether it is empty, full or non-empty. The fill ratio is the number of non-empty slots divided by the total number of slots.[4]
- Machines: you can check whether a target is a worker, has work to process, could start working, or is working right now. Recipe handlers such as the Crafting Table can also be read with a Machine Reader.[4]
- Redstone: you can read levels as high, low or non-low. There is also a clock aspect with a configurable pulse length and interval.[4]
On the output side, the Redstone Writer has an option for whether it simulates a Redstone Torch instead of regular Redstone Dust. It also has a pulse value that sets what gets emitted.[4]
Energy in this pack
The Energy Battery has a default capacity of 1,000,000 in this pack, set by machine.energy_battery.capacity. The pack caps network energy transfer at 2,147,483,647 through core.general.energyRateLimit, which is effectively no cap.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/energy_battery
The Generator is crafted from a battery, which you can see in the recipe below.[6]
Each part has a base energy cost in the config. In this pack the main values are:[5]
- The mono-directional connector costs 32 (general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption) and the omni-directional connector costs 128 (general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption).[5]
- The variable store costs 4 (general.general.variablestoreBaseConsumption) and the proxy costs 2 (general.general.proxyBaseConsumption).[5]
- The Display Panel costs 1 with no variable and 2 with one (general.general.panelDisplayBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.panelDisplayBaseConsumptionEnabled).[5]
- The readers, writers and the materializer listed in the config cost 1 each. The static and dynamic light panels cost 0.[5]
The pack also sets general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier, the energy usage multiplier for networks, to 0.[5]
Unverified What a multiplier of 0 does to the base costs above is not explained in the sources. Test it in your own world before building around it.
Logic building blocks
The Delayer (Delayer) keeps a history of values. machine.delay.maxHistoryCapacity limits how long that history can be, and the pack sets it to 1,024.[5]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: integrateddynamics:crafting/delay
Operators can call themselves, such as when you build an omega operator. core.general.operatorRecursionLimit limits the recursion depth to 256, which stops these from crashing the game.[5]
The Logic Director, Labeller and Facade also have pack recipes, shown below.[6]

Performance and troubleshooting
The ingredient network observer, which watches item, fluid and energy contents on a network, is tunable. In this pack it may use multiple threads and is set to 4 threads. Its observation interval ranges from a fastest of 5 ticks to a slowest of 40 ticks. The decrease factor is 5 and the increase factor is 1. The forced frequency is 0.[5]
The relevant options are core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverEnableMultithreading, core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverThreads, core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMin and core.general.ingredientNetworkObserverFrequencyMax.[5]
The pack has core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks turned on, so corrupted networks are restored automatically on the first tick.[5]
For FPS problems, machine.cable.dynamicShape can be disabled. The pack has it enabled. A diagnostics HTTP server for networks uses port 3030 (general.general.diagnosticsWebServerPort).[5]
Unverified The sources do not explain how item and fluid transfer through inventory and fluid parts works in detail, such as priorities, channels or filters. This section only covers what the pack's configs, recipes and advancements confirm.
How do you progress through IntegratedDynamics?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
Integrated Dynamics doesn't hand you tiers on a plate, so the best way to think about progression is to follow the recipe chain. Nearly everything you craft goes back to one material: the Crystallized Menril Chunk. Once you have a steady supply of those, the rest of the mod opens up step by step.[3]
Step 1: Menril basics
Your starting point is the Menril tree. A Menril Log turns into Menril Planks, and from there you get the usual building set: Menril Stairs, Menril Slab, Menril Fence, Menril Fence Gate and Menril Door. Menril Berries give you the Menril Torch and the Menril Stone Torch.[3]
Crafting Shapeless

The material that really matters is the Crystallized Menril Chunk. Chunks craft into a Block of Crystallized Menril, and a block crafts back into chunks, so you can store them compactly and pull chunks out whenever you need them. The block also has its own decorative set: bricks, slabs and stairs.[3]

Unverified The recipe data doesn't show how you get your first Crystallized Menril Chunks, or how the Squeezer and Drying Basin fit into making them. Check the chunk's uses and recipes in your recipe viewer in-game. This site does hold All the Mods - Gravitas's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 2: Cables, programmer and tools
With chunks in hand, craft Logic Cable. That's the backbone of every network. Next is the Logic Programmer, made from a Block of Crystallized Menril. You can convert it into a Portable Logic Programmer and back again at any time.[3]

While you're here, grab On the Dynamics of Integration, the mod's book, which also comes from a menril chunk. The Labeller and Facade are menril-chunk crafts too.[3]

Step 3: Readers, writers and panels
Parts are where your network starts doing things. Every reader part is built around an Input Variable Transformer, and every writer part around an Output Variable Transformer. So those two transformers are the items to mass-produce at this stage.[3]
- Readers using the Input Variable Transformer: Part Block Reader, Part Inventory Reader, Part Fluid Reader, Part Redstone Reader, Part Entity Reader, Part Machine Reader, Part World Reader, Part Audio Reader, Part Extradimensional Reader and Part Network Reader.[3]
- Writers using the Output Variable Transformer: Part Inventory Writer, Part Redstone Writer, Part Entity Writer, Part Machine Writer, Part Audio Writer and Part Effect Writer.[3]
- The Part Static Light Panel is the base for both the Part Dynamic Light Panel and the Part Display Panel, so make a few static panels before you move on to displays.[3]
- The Part Connector Mono Directional needs Logic Cable plus both kinds of transformer.[3]
Unverified The recipes for the Input and Output Variable Transformers, the Variable Card and the Variable Store aren't shown in the recipe data. Look them up in your recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mods - Gravitas's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
Step 4: Variables and logic blocks
Once your network is up, the next tier is built around the Variable Card and the Variable Store. The Proxy and the Delayer need both of them, and the Materializer needs a Variable Card.[3]

The Logic Director brings in the chorus branch, because it needs a Crystallized Chorus Chunk alongside menril. On that branch, Menril Berries lead into Proto Chorus. Crystallized Chorus chunks and blocks convert back and forth just like the menril ones.[3]

Step 5: Power and automation
The Energy Battery is your gateway to powered machines. It's made from crystallized menril, and it's a key component in the Generator, the Mechanical Squeezer and the Mechanical Drying Basin. The two mechanical machines are upgrades of the manual Squeezer and Drying Basin, so keep your manual ones around to craft them.[3]

How does IntegratedDynamics work with other mods?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide
Integrated Dynamics is the core of a whole family of add-ons in this pack. Integrated Tunnels, Integrated Terminals, Integrated Crafting and Integrated NBT all build their parts from Integrated Dynamics components. So the Menril and logic items you craft early on end up in pretty much everything that comes after.[3]
Integrated Tunnels: moving items, fluids and energy
Tunnels parts come in tiers. First you make interface parts for items, fluids and energy, and Crystallized Menril Chunks feed into all three. Then you upgrade an interface into an importer with an Input Variable Transformer, or into an exporter with an Output Variable Transformer.[3]

The next tier is the world parts, which interact directly with the world. Each importer or exporter becomes its world version when you craft it with a Logic Director. The world block importer and exporter also need a vanilla pickaxe in the recipe.[3]

Integrated Terminals: glass and storage terminals
Integrated Terminals uses Integrated Dynamics machines for its glass. You make Menril Glass from Menril Resin and Chorus Glass from Liquid Chorus, and both work in either the Drying Basin or the Mechanical Drying Basin.[3]

That Menril Glass then goes into the terminals, together with the Integrated Dynamics Display Panel part. The Storage Terminal also uses both Variable Transformers. Once you have one, you can craft it into a Portable Storage Terminal.[3]

Which IntegratedDynamics config options matter?
6 parts
All of these live in one file, core.general.safeMode and friends all sit in config/integrateddynamics-common.toml. The file only shows the values this pack uses, not the mod's defaults. So I can tell you exactly how the pack sets each option, but I can't say for sure which ones the pack changed.[5]
Energy
- general.general.energyConsumptionMultiplier is set to 0. It is the energy usage multiplier for networks, so it's the first option to look at if you're wondering how much power your parts will draw.[5]
- The per-part base costs are still listed. For example, general.general.connectorMonoDirectionalBaseConsumption is 32, general.general.connectorOmniDirectionalBaseConsumption is 128, general.general.variablestoreBaseConsumption is 4, and general.general.proxyBaseConsumption is 2. Most readers and writers are 1.[5]
- An energy battery holds 1,000,000 by default (machine.energy_battery.capacity). Its transfer limit per tick is 1/2000 of that capacity (machine.energy_battery.energyRateCapacityFraction), and the minimum rate is 2000 (machine.energy_battery.minEnergyRate).[5]
- The mechanical squeezer and the mechanical drying basin each have an energy capacity of 100,000 and a consumption rate of 80. The squeezer auto-ejects up to 500 mB per tick (machine.mechanical_squeezer.autoEjectFluidRate).[5]
Starting out
The info book is not handed out on spawn (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.obtainOnSpawn is false), and it doesn't give item rewards for finishing its tutorials (item.on_the_dynamics_of_integration.bookRewards is false). You'll need to get the book yourself.[5]
Network safety and limits
- core.general.safeMode is false. If a network is crashing your game, turning it on temporarily stops networks from ticking, and values are no longer shown or evaluated, which can help you fix the problem.[5]
- core.general.operatorRecursionLimit is 256. It limits how deep an operator's recursion can go, which protects you from crashes when building things like the omega operator.[5]
- machine.general.maxDirectionalConnectorOffset is 512 blocks, the farthest a directional connector can look for its target.[5]
- core.general.recreateCorruptedNetworks is true, so corrupted networks are restored automatically on the first tick.[5]
Performance and rendering
- machine.cable.dynamicShape is true. The config notes say to disable it if you run into FPS issues.[5]
- general.general.partOverlayRenderdistance is 15. Higher values are more resource-intensive.[5]
- The ingredient network observer is multithreaded and can use 4 threads, and it observes at a frequency between 5 and 40 ticks.[5]
Menril
- Menril berries give night vision when eaten (item.menril_berries.nightVision is true).[5]
- worldgeneration.meneglin.wildMenrilTreeChance is 100, and a higher value means rarer wild Menril trees. worldgeneration.menril_log_filled.filledMenrilLogChance is 10, a 1 in 10 chance that generated Menril wood comes filled with resin. The Meneglin biome spawn weight is 5.[5]
Housekeeping
The version checker (core.general.versionChecker) and the anonymous startup analytics (core.general.analytics) are both false.[5]
Unverified The source file doesn't show the mod's default values, so which of the settings above the pack changed from the default is unconfirmed.
