What is Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
2 parts
Agritech: Evolved (ATE) is a farming automation mod. It gives you planters that grow crops and trees on their own, plus machines, upgrade modules and power generation to scale that up. If you like setting up a farm once and letting it run, this one is for you.[1]
The pack ships version 2.2.0.3 for NeoForge, and it has been in the pack since 0.8.0-beta or earlier.[2]
What you get
- Basic Planter: plant a seed or sapling and it grows by itself. Drops go into whatever is underneath it, and it handles all 11 vanilla wood types.[1]
- Advanced Planter: runs on RF and has speed and yield upgrade slots.[1]
- Cloche: a glass dome that attaches to a planter to boost growth speed and yield. It stacks with fertilizer and modules.[1]
- Machines: a Composter (biomass fuel and fertilizer), a Silo that pulls drops from planters in range, a Fertilizer Spreader, a Biomass Burner that makes RF, and Energy Capacitors in three tiers (500k / 1M / 4M RF).[1]
- Modules: Speed, Yield and Range, each in MK1-3. Range modules extend the Silo and Fertilizer Spreader.[1]
- Growth blocks: Mulch gives +50% growth speed and Infused Farmland gives +100%.[1]
Why it's handy in a big pack
The mod has built-in support for crops, trees and soils from many other mods, including Mystical Agriculture, Farmer's Delight, Ars Nouveau and Immersive Engineering. Bone meal works as fertilizer, and so do fertilizers from several other mods.[1]
Seeds, soils, saplings and fertilizers are all data-driven, so they can be changed with datapacks or KubeJS. Module strength, power draw, processing times and ranges are tunable in the balance config.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests or ATM Star path steps for this mod, and they don't show whether the pack changed any of its default values or recipes. Check the in-game recipes and configs before you plan around specific numbers. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
6 parts
Agritech: Evolved is a farming automation mod, and the order I'd go in is simple: get a planter growing crops, speed it up, then automate the harvest and the power. Here are the first things to make.[1]
Make a planter
Start with the Oak Planter. You plant a seed or sapling in it, it grows by itself, and the drops go into whatever is underneath it.[1][3]

The other wood types and the terracotta planters have their own recipes in the pack. Right-click a planter with a hoe to till soil placed inside, and with Bone Meal or fertilizer to boost crop growth.[3][4]
Make a Composter
The Composter turns organic items into biomass fuel and fertilizer, and anything that works in a vanilla composter works in this one too. It can run without energy at a slower rate, so you don't need power yet.[1][4]

Make Mulch, then Infused Farmland
Biomass is used to create Compacted Biomass, and that in turn is used to create Mulch. The pack's recipes for those two are below.[3][4]

Mulch is used in planters and grants 50% growth speed. Upgrade it to Infused Farmland for 100% growth speed. You make it by combining Mulch and a hoe in a crafting table, or by tilling Mulch in a planter. Infused Farmland also works as normal farmland.[4]

Automate the harvest
The Silo pulls harvested drops from planters in range into it. The Fertilizer Spreader pushes fertilizer items into planters in range. You can extend the range of both with the Range Upgrade modules, which add 16, 32 or 64 blocks for Range Upgrade MK1, Range Upgrade MK2 and Range Upgrade MK3.[1][3][4]

Get power going
The Advanced Planter runs on RF and has speed and yield upgrade slots, so you'll want power before you make one. The Biomass Burner burns biomass for RF, and Crude Biomass is the starter fuel for it.[1][3][4]

How does Agritech: Evolved (ATE) work?
7 parts
Agritech: Evolved is a farming automation mod, and almost everything in it revolves around planters. This section covers how planters, soils, fertilizer, the cloche, the machines and the power side fit together.[1]
Planters
The Oak Planter (the Oak Planter) is the simplest setup. You plant a seed or sapling and it grows by itself. The drops go into whatever is underneath it. There is a Basic Planter for every vanilla wood type, plus terracotta variants.[1][3]
Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: agritechevolved:advanced_planter
You can right-click a planter with seeds, saplings or soil to insert them directly. A hoe tills soil placed inside, and bone meal or a fertilizer boosts crop growth. If you'd rather automate fertilizing, you can pipe or hopper fertilizer into any side of either planter.[1][4]
If you look at a planter with Jade, it shows the soil and its growth bonus, the fertilizer with its speed and yield values, and the installed modules.[4]
Soil and growth boosts
- Mulch is used in planters and grants 50% growth speed. It is also the base for Infused Farmland.[1][4]
- Infused Farmland grants 100% growth speed. It works in planters or as normal farmland.[1][4]
- You make Infused Farmland by combining Mulch and a Hoe in a Crafting Table, or by tilling Mulch inside a planter.[4]
Compacted Biomass is what you use to create Mulch, so the Composter's output feeds straight into your soil upgrades.[4]
The cloche
The Cloche Dome sits on top of a planter and increases both growth and yield. It stacks with fertilizer and with modules. Right-click to attach it. Shift-right-click with an empty hand to take it off. If you break a cloched planter, you get both items back separately.[1][3][4]

Power
The Biomass Burner burns crude, regular or compacted biomass to generate RF. Crude Biomass is the starter fuel, and the burner also accepts the Compacted Biomass Block. Fuel tooltips show how many seconds an item burns, and the burner shows the seconds remaining. They also show the RF per second, and a bonus or penalty to total RF depending on whether the burn is longer or shorter.[1][3][4]

The mod has three tiers of energy capacitor, holding 500k, 1M and 4M RF. They are Capacitor Tier 1, Capacitor Tier 2 and Capacitor Tier 3. A capacitor stores and distributes RF and automatically balances energy, so it needs no manual operation. Its tooltip shows the stored energy, the transfer rate and the max transfer in RF/t.[1][3][4]
Modules
- Speed modules (MK1-3) make processing faster but cost more power.[1][4]
- Yield modules (MK1-3) give more harvest but slow processing down.[1][4]
- Range modules (MK1-3) increase the range of the Silo and the Fertilizer Spreader by 16, 32 and 64 blocks respectively.[1][4]
Hold Shift over a speed or yield module in-game for its exact numbers.[4]
Fertilizer and customization
Bone meal works as fertilizer. The mod also supports fertilizers from Mystical Agriculture, Immersive Engineering, and Forbidden & Arcanus.[1]
Seeds, soils, saplings and fertilizers are data-driven. You can add, remove or edit them through datapacks or KubeJS. The mod page also says module strength, power draw, processing times and ranges are tunable.[1]
Unverified No config files for this mod were available, and the recipe dump doesn't show ingredients. So the pack's actual module percentages, burner RF values, capacitor transfer rates and machine ranges are unconfirmed, as is whether the pack changed any of them from the mod defaults. Check the in-game tooltips for the real values. The sources also describe no multiblock structures for this mod.
How do you progress through Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
3 parts
The recipe list for Agritech: Evolved in this pack shows what you can craft and which items come in numbered levels. It does not show a set order for unlocking them, so use the groupings below as a map of what exists.[3]
Unverified No quests in this pack involve the mod, and it is not on the ATM Star quest path. The sources here do not show any quest-driven order for it.
Planters
Planters are the core of the mod. The pack has a wood line that starts with the Oak Planter (the Oak Planter). It also has a variant for each other wood type, such as Spruce Planter, Bamboo Planter and Warped Planter. A separate recipe makes the Oak Planter from any wood, so you are not tied to oak.[3]

Biomass and soil support
The pack has recipes for a biomass chain: Crude Biomass, Biomass, Compacted Biomass and Compacted Biomass Block. Compacted biomass can be turned back into biomass, and a compacted biomass block can be turned back into compacted biomass.[3]
Other items with recipes are the Biomass Burner, Composter, Fertilizer Spreader, Silo and Cloche Dome.[3]
Mulch has its own recipe leading to Infused Farmland.[3]

What changed in Agritech: Evolved (ATE) between versions?
3 parts
All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta ships Agritech: Evolved 2.2.0.3 for NeoForge on Minecraft 26.1.2. The mod was already in the pack by version 0.0.14 or earlier. The sources I have contain no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs.[2]
Latest releases: terracotta planters and compat
- Version 2.2.0.3 adds terracotta planters in all 17 variants.[5]
- Version 2.2.0.3 also adds vanilla crop compatibility for all coral, short grass and ferns.[5]
- The basic planters' recipes were updated to be less annoying.[5]
- Compatibility was also added with Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone, Regions Unexplored and Silent's Gems. Nether Banana now drops from the Silent Gear Netherwood Sapling.[6]
Performance and fixes
- 2.1.2.2 stops MA farmlands from being downgraded in the planter.[7]
- 2.1.2.1 fixes data components (NBT) being stripped from items when they are extracted through menus or scaled through yield modifiers.[8]
- 2.1.1 is a performance release. Planters cache recipe lookups per seed item and no longer scan the full recipe list every tick. Valid soil items are cached too. Block update packets now only fire when the growth stage changes, and output transfer only runs on harvest. The changelog says this significantly reduces server tick time at scale.[9]
The big rebalance
Version 2.0.14.1 is the biggest update in these changelogs. The composter now runs at base speed without power, and power is optional. A bug that made power have no effect is fixed, so a powered composter runs 3x faster. The composter also gets a dense compostables category (hay blocks, Farmer's Delight crates and similar) with a configurable conversion rate, 3:1 by default, plus more mob drops as valid compostables.[10]
- The capacitor now accepts and outputs energy on all sides.[10]
- The advanced planter gets its own base processing time config, defaulting to 600 ticks, and its base processing speed is up by 50%.[10]
- All speed and yield module multipliers were rebalanced with stronger values across all tiers, penalties included.[10]
- Immersive Engineering fertilizer no longer uses Fertilized Essence multipliers by mistake.[10]
- JEI has a new category for the farmland tilling recipe, and the biomass burner GUI lists all accepted fuel types.[10]
Smaller earlier releases fixed the fallback recipe for planters (2.0.15.4), prettified GUIs and improved some block textures (2.0.15.2), corrected an infused farmland side texture from 16x15 to 16x16 along with some Jade config translations (2.0.13.1), and fixed minor inconsistencies (2.0.12). Version 2.0.15.5 was only a version bump.[11][12][13][14][15]
