What is Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Agritech: Evolved (ATE) is a farming automation mod. It gives you planters that grow crops and trees on their own, plus machines, upgrade modules and power generation to scale that up. If you like setting up a farm once and letting it run, this one is for you.[1]
The pack ships version 2.2.0.3 for NeoForge, and it has been in the pack since 0.8.0-beta or earlier.[2]
What you get
- Basic Planter: plant a seed or sapling and it grows by itself. Drops go into whatever is underneath it, and it handles all 11 vanilla wood types.[1]
- Advanced Planter: runs on RF and has speed and yield upgrade slots.[1]
- Cloche: a glass dome that attaches to a planter to boost growth speed and yield. It stacks with fertilizer and modules.[1]
- Machines: a Composter (biomass fuel and fertilizer), a Silo that pulls drops from planters in range, a Fertilizer Spreader, a Biomass Burner that makes RF, and Energy Capacitors in three tiers (500k / 1M / 4M RF).[1]
- Modules: Speed, Yield and Range, each in MK1-3. Range modules extend the Silo and Fertilizer Spreader.[1]
- Growth blocks: Mulch gives +50% growth speed and Infused Farmland gives +100%.[1]
Why it's handy in a big pack
The mod has built-in support for crops, trees and soils from many other mods, including Mystical Agriculture, Farmer's Delight, Ars Nouveau and Immersive Engineering. Bone meal works as fertilizer, and so do fertilizers from several other mods.[1]
Seeds, soils, saplings and fertilizers are all data-driven, so they can be changed with datapacks or KubeJS. Module strength, power draw, processing times and ranges are tunable in the balance config.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't show any quests or ATM Star path steps for this mod, and they don't show whether the pack changed any of its default values or recipes. Check the in-game recipes and configs before you plan around specific numbers. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
5 parts
Agritech: Evolved is a farming automation mod built around planters, machines, modules and power generation. The good news is you can start small: one planter and a seed gets you going, and everything else builds on that. Here's the order I'd take things in.[1]
Step one: make a Basic Planter
The Oak Planter is your starting point. You plant a seed or sapling in it, it grows by itself, and the drops go into whatever is underneath it. Planters come in all 11 vanilla wood types, like the Spruce Planter or Cherry Planter, so pick whichever look you like.[1][3]

Right-click the planter with seeds, saplings or soil to put them in directly. Right-click with Bone Meal or fertilizer to boost crop growth, or with a hoe to till soil placed inside.[1][4]
Step two: build a Composter
The Composter turns organic items into biomass fuel and fertilizer, and anything that works in a vanilla composter works in this one too. It can run without energy at a slower rate, so you can use it before you have any power set up.[1][4]

Step three: turn biomass into Mulch and Infused Farmland
Biomass is used to create Compacted Biomass, and that in turn is used to create Mulch. Mulch used in a planter grants 50% growth speed.[4]

| Farmland | ||
Recipe id: agritechevolved:mulch
Mulch is also the key to Infused Farmland, which grants 100% growth speed and works in planters or as normal farmland. You make it by combining Mulch with a hoe in a crafting table, or by tilling Mulch in a planter.[1][4]

Step four: get power running
The Biomass Burner burns crude, regular or compacted biomass for RF. Crude Biomass is labelled as starter fuel for it, so that is the one to burn first.[1][3][4]

Next: automate and upgrade
- Cloche Dome: place it on a planter to increase growth and yield. It stacks with fertilizer, and you remove it with shift-right-click using an empty hand.[1][3][4]
- Silo: pulls harvested drops from planters in range into it.[1]
- Fertilizer Spreader: pushes fertilizer items into any planters in range.[1]
- Speed, Yield and Range modules, such as Speed Upgrade MK1, Yield Upgrade MK1 and Range Upgrade MK1. Range Upgrade MK1 increases Silo and Fertilizer Spreader range by 16 blocks.[1][3][4]
How does Agritech: Evolved (ATE) work?
7 parts
Agritech: Evolved is a farming automation mod built around planters, a few support machines, upgrade modules and a small power setup. Everything below comes from the mod's own description and tooltips. Recipe ingredients are shown in the recipe blocks, so you see the exact in-pack versions.[1][4]
Planters
The Oak Planter is the simplest piece. You plant a seed or sapling in it, it grows by itself, and the drops go into whatever is underneath it. There is a Basic Planter variant for each wood type, for example the Cherry Planter and the Warped Planter.[1][3]

You can put things into a planter directly. Right-click with seeds, saplings or soil to insert them, and right-click with a hoe to till soil that is already inside. If you have Jade installed, it shows the planter's current soil, fertilizer and module info.[1][4]
Soils and fertilizer
Mulch is used in planters and grants 50% growth speed. Infused Farmland is the upgrade: it works in planters or as normal farmland and grants 100% growth speed.[1][4]
There are two ways to get Infused Farmland. You can combine Mulch with a hoe in a crafting table, or you can till Mulch inside a planter. The mulch itself is made from Compacted Biomass.[4]

For fertilizer, right-click a planter with bone meal or another fertilizer to boost crop growth. The mod also supports fertilizers from Mystical Agriculture, Immersive Engineering and Forbidden & Arcanus. For automation, you can pipe or hopper fertilizer into any side of either planter type.[1][4]
The cloche
The Cloche Dome sits on top of a planter and increases both growth and yield. It stacks with fertilizer and with modules. Right-click to attach it. Shift-right-click with an empty hand to take it off. If you break a cloched planter, you get both items back separately.[1][3][4]

Automation machines
- Silo: pulls harvested drops from planters in range into itself.[1]
- Fertilizer Spreader: pushes fertilizer items into any planters in range.[1]
- Composter: turns organic items into biomass fuel and fertilizer. Anything that works in a vanilla composter works here too. It can also run without energy, just at a slower rate.[1][4]

Modules
Modules come in three tiers each: Speed Upgrade MK1 to Speed Upgrade MK3 for speed, Yield Upgrade MK1 to Yield Upgrade MK3 for yield, and Range Upgrade MK1 to Range Upgrade MK3 for range. Speed modules make processing faster at the cost of more power. Yield modules give more harvest but slow processing down.[1][3][4]
Range modules affect the Silo and the Fertilizer Spreader. Per their tooltips, MK1 increases range by 16 blocks, MK2 by 32 blocks and MK3 by 64 blocks.[4]
Power
The Biomass Burner burns crude, regular or compacted biomass to generate RF. Crude Biomass is the starter fuel. The burner's tooltip also lists Compacted Biomass Block as accepted fuel. Fuel tooltips show how long an item burns and its RF per second. They also mention an RF bonus for a longer burn and a penalty for a shorter one.[1][3][4]

Biomass and its compacted forms convert between each other through crafting. The recipes below cover turning compacted biomass back into biomass and turning a block back into compacted biomass.[3][4]
For storage there are three capacitor tiers: Capacitor Tier 1, Capacitor Tier 2 and Capacitor Tier 3. Each tier holds more RF than the last. A capacitor stores and distributes RF, balances energy automatically and needs no manual operation. Its tooltip shows stored energy, transfer rate and max transfer.[1][3][4]

Customising the mod
The mod is data-driven. Seeds, soils, saplings and fertilizers can be added, removed or edited through datapacks or KubeJS. It also has a balance config for module strength, power draw, processing times and ranges.[1]
Unverified No config files for this mod were available for this pack, so I can't confirm whether the pack changes any module strength, power draw, processing time or range from the mod's defaults. The base RF figures per fuel, the exact capacitor capacities, the exact module percentages and the machines' power draw are also not confirmed by the sources.
How do you progress through Agritech: Evolved (ATE)?
3 parts
The recipe data for this pack shows a handful of tiered item lines for Agritech: Evolved. It does not show a step-by-step order for them, so this section covers the lines themselves and leaves the sequence to you.[3]
Planters
The Oak Planter is the Basic Oak Planter. There are also Basic Planters for other wood and fungus types, such as Cherry Planter, Bamboo Planter and Warped Planter. The pack also has a separate recipe that makes the oak version from any wood. Above the basic ones there is the Advanced Planter.[3]

Biomass and farmland
The biomass line has its own recipes: Crude Biomass, Biomass, Compacted Biomass and Compacted Biomass Block. Compacted biomass can be turned back into biomass, and a block can be turned back into compacted biomass. The pack also has recipes for the Composter, the Biomass Burner, the Silo, the Fertilizer Spreader and the Cloche Dome.[3]
Mulch has a recipe of its own, and a separate durability-based shapeless recipe turns it into Infused Farmland.[3]

What changed in Agritech: Evolved (ATE) between versions?
4 parts
All the Mods 11 0.7.0-beta ships Agritech: Evolved 2.2.0.2, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.0.14 or earlier. There are no pack changelog entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's own changelogs, oldest first.[5]
Early fixes
- 2.0.12: fixed minor inconsistencies.[6]
- 2.0.13.1: corrected the infused farmland side texture from 16x15 to 16x16, which resolves atlas mipmapping warnings, and fixed some Jade config translation issues.[7]
2.0.14.1: the big rebalance
This is the most substantial entry in the changelogs. It touched the composter, the advanced planter, modules, JEI and the config.[8]
- Composter: fixed a bug where powering it had no effect on speed. It now runs 3x faster when powered, and it still works without power at base speed. A tooltip on the item and in the GUI says power is not required.[8]
- Composter: added a dense compostables category (hay blocks, Farmer's Delight crates and similar) with a configurable conversion rate, 3:1 by default. The override TOML now supports a [dense] section for your own dense compostables.[8]
- Composter: more mob drops are now valid compostables, such as fermented spider eyes, rabbit hide and fish.[8]
- Advanced Planter: it got its own config value for base processing time (600 ticks by default), and its base processing speed went up by 50%.[8]
- Modules: all speed and yield module multipliers were rebalanced with stronger values across every tier, penalties included.[8]
- Capacitor: it now accepts and outputs energy on all sides.[8]
- Biomass Burner: the GUI now lists all accepted fuel types.[8]
- Other fixes: Immersive Engineering fertilizer was wrongly using Fertilized Essence multipliers and now uses its own. Duplicate config keys for Crude Biomass fertilizer multipliers were fixed. A JEI category for the farmland tilling recipe was added.[8]
GUI polish and a planter fix
- 2.0.15.2: prettier GUIs and improved textures on some blocks.[9]
- 2.0.15.4: fixed the fallback recipe for planters.[10]
- 2.0.15.5: version bump only.[11]
Performance, fixes and compatibility
- 2.1.1 (performance): planters no longer scan the full recipe list every tick, because recipe lookups are cached per seed item and cleared on datapack reload. Valid soil items are cached per datapack revision. Block update packets only fire when the growth stage changes. Output transfer only runs on harvest. The changelog says this significantly reduces server tick time at scale.[12]
- 2.1.2.1: fixed data components (NBT) being stripped from items when they were extracted through menus or scaled through yield modifiers.[13]
- 2.1.2.2: MA farmlands can no longer be downgraded in the planter.[14]
The newest changelog entry is listed as 2.2.0.3. It adds compatibility with Biomes O' Plenty, Oh The Biomes We've Gone, Regions Unexplored and Silent's Gems, and Nether Banana now drops from the Silent Gear Netherwood Sapling. The pack includes 2.2.0.2, so this entry is for a build newer than the one in the pack, and the sources don't confirm whether these changes are in 0.7.0-beta.[5][15]
