What is Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration?
3 parts
Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration adds chemical storage to Refined Storage. On top of items and fluids, your storage network can also hold Mekanism chemicals. The pack ships version 1.0.0 of the mod, and it has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.43 or earlier.[1][2]
Who it is for
It is for you if you already run a Refined Storage network and also use Mekanism. Instead of keeping chemicals only in Mekanism's own tanks, you can bring them into your network.[2]
What you get
The pack's quest book points to one piece of this mod: 64B Chemical Storage Part. It is one of the storage parts you check off in the quest "Other Storage Parts" quest.[2]
Where it fits in the pack
The quest sits in the Refined Storage chapter, after an earlier quest in that chapter. It groups the chemical part with parts from a separate mod, Refined Types, which lets you store Energy, Source and Souls. So treat it as an optional extension to your network, one you pick up once the basics of Refined Storage are running.[2]
Unverified The sources don't show this mod on the ATM Star quest path, and they don't cover its other items, recipes or config options. Check in-game for anything beyond the chemical storage part.
How do you get started with Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration?
3 parts
Refined Storage normally handles items and fluids. This mod adds chemical storage, so your network can hold Mekanism chemicals too. The pack's quest book covers it in the Refined Storage chapter, in the quest "Other Storage Parts" quest, which lists the 64B Chemical Storage Part as its first task.[2]
Step 1: the 64B Chemical Storage Part
Everything starts with the 64B Chemical Storage Part. It is the base tier, and the disk and block versions are both made from it. The pack changed this recipe from the mod's version, so use the one below rather than anything you remember from outside the pack.[3]

This is the pack's changed recipe for the base part.
Step 2: turn it into storage
Once you have a part, you can make it into a disk or a block. The 64B Chemical Storage Disk goes into your Disk Drive, and the mod's own advancement asks you to do exactly that.[3][4]

There is also a shapeless mod recipe that combines a Storage Housing with the part. It is handy if you already have housings on hand.[3]

The other option is the 64B Chemical Storage Block, a placed block that stores chemicals directly. Its recipe was also changed by the pack. Each Chemical Storage Block has its own energy usage setting in the mod's config.[3][4]

Step 3: upgrade through the tiers
The tiers go 64B, 256B, 1024B and 8192B, and each has its own part, disk and block. Disks and blocks can be upgraded to a higher tier by combining them with a Chemical Storage Part. Every part tier has a recipe in the pack, shown below in order.[3][4]

How does Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration work?
4 parts
This mod is a storage add-on, not a machine mod. It gives your Refined Storage network a place to keep Mekanism chemicals, as a disk that goes in a Disk Drive or as a standalone storage block. The sources show no machines, multiblocks or power-generation systems here, so this section only covers storage.[4]
Disks and blocks
Disks and blocks come in tiers named after their capacity in buckets, from 64B up to 8192B. There is also a Creative Chemical Storage Disk and a Creative Chemical Storage Block, which store an infinite amount of buckets. The mod's own advancement sums up the basic setup: craft a Chemical Storage Disk and put it in your Disk Drive.[4]
- 64B Chemical Storage Disk, 256B Chemical Storage Disk, 1024B Chemical Storage Disk and 8192B Chemical Storage Disk are the disks for a Disk Drive.[4]
- 64B Chemical Storage Block, 256B Chemical Storage Block, 1024B Chemical Storage Block and 8192B Chemical Storage Block are the block versions of each tier.[4]
- Each tier has a matching Chemical Storage Part, such as 64B Chemical Storage Part. Both the disk and the block recipes use the part of their tier.[3][4]
Upgrading and recovering parts
Both disks and blocks can be upgraded to a higher tier by combining them with a Chemical Storage Part. You can also take them apart again, but only when they are empty. Use an empty disk while holding it to get the Chemical Storage Part back. Use an empty block the same way to get the Chemical Storage Part and the Machine Casing back.[4]
How the parts are crafted in this pack
The shaped recipes for the parts, disks and blocks are changed by the pack, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. The 64B part is the entry point, and the higher part tiers build on the part of the tier below, as the recipes here show.[3]

Once you have a part, there are a couple of ways to turn it into a disk. One is a shaped recipe that is changed by the pack. The other is an unchanged mod recipe that combines the part with a Storage Housing from Refined Storage. The 64B disk is shown here as an example, and the other tiers follow the same pattern.[3]

Power use
The storage blocks use energy. The mod has a separate energy-usage option for each block tier and for the Creative block, and each one is described as the energy used by that block.[4]
Unverified The pack has no config files for this mod that the sources show, so the actual energy-usage values, the exact capacity in buckets for each tier, and which chemical types the disks accept can't be confirmed from the sources here.
How do you progress through Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration?
3 parts
The pack's quest book introduces this mod in the Refined Storage chapter, in a quest called "Other Storage Parts" quest. The quest explains that Refined Storage can store Chemicals thanks to this mod. One of its tasks is to get a 64B Chemical Storage Part. The other tasks are storage parts from the Refined Types mod. The quest unlocks after another quest in the same chapter, so finish that one first.[2]
That is as far as the quests go for this mod. The sources show no quest for the larger sizes, so the rest of the path comes from the recipes.[2][3]
The tiers
Chemical storage comes in 64B, 256B, 1024B and 8192B sizes. Each size has a storage part, a disk and a block. The part is the base item for the disk and the block.[3]
- 64B: 64B Chemical Storage Part, 64B Chemical Storage Disk and 64B Chemical Storage Block.[3]
- 256B: 256B Chemical Storage Part, 256B Chemical Storage Disk and 256B Chemical Storage Block.[3]
- 1024B: 1024B Chemical Storage Part, 1024B Chemical Storage Disk and 1024B Chemical Storage Block.[3]
- 8192B: 8192B Chemical Storage Part, 8192B Chemical Storage Disk and 8192B Chemical Storage Block.[3]
Climbing the part chain
The pack changes every storage part recipe. The 64B part does not need any earlier part. Each larger part needs the part from the size directly below it, so you can't skip a step.[3]

How does Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration work with other mods?
4 parts
This mod is the bridge between Refined Storage and Mekanism. It adds chemical storage to your Refined Storage network, and the recipes in the pack pull in Mekanism materials to do it. The higher chemical tiers come from items in the extradisks namespace.[2][3]
Mekanism alloys and Refined Storage processors
The chemical storage parts are where Refined Storage and Mekanism meet. Each step up the ladder pairs a higher Mekanism alloy with a higher Refined Storage processor tier, and it also needs the previous part. The pack changed all of these recipes, so don't expect the mod's default recipes to match what you see in-game.[3]
The 256B Chemical Storage Part uses an Infused Alloy and a Basic Processor.[3]

The 8192B Chemical Storage Part uses an Atomic Alloy and an Advanced Processor. The 65536B part from the extradisks namespace, 65536B Chemical Storage Part, uses the same alloy and processor pair, and the pack changed that recipe too.[3]

Disks and blocks
Chemical storage disks are the simple part. They combine a Storage Housing with the matching part, and this is the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack. Here is the 1024B disk as an example.[3]

Higher tiers from the extradisks namespace
Beyond 8192B, the chemical disks and blocks come from the extradisks namespace. The tiers run 65536B, 262kB, 1048kB, 8388kB and an Infinite one. Each is made with an upgrade recipe that takes the new tier's part plus disks (or blocks) from the lower chemical tiers. These upgrade recipes are not marked as changed by the pack.[3]

Quest tie-in
The quest "Other Storage Parts" quest ties this together. It points out that Refined Storage can store chemicals thanks to this mod, and that Refined Types adds Energy, Source and Souls storage. Its tasks include the 64B chemical storage part alongside parts from Refined Types.[2]
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The quest that involves this mod is in the Refined Storage chapter. It's a short section, but that quest tells you what the mod adds: Chemical storage for your Refined Storage network.[5]
Other Storage Parts
"Other Storage Parts" quest explains that Refined Storage can store Chemicals on top of items and fluids, thanks to the Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration mod. The quest text adds that you can also store Energy, Source and Souls, thanks to the Refined Types mod.[5]
The quest's tasks ask you for these items:[5]
- 64B Chemical Storage Part for Chemicals, which is the one from this mod.[5]
- 64K Energy Storage Part for Energy.[5]
- 64B Source Storage Part for Source.[5]
- 1K Soul Storage Part for Souls.[5]
Where it fits in the order
The quest comes after a quest in "Refined Storage" in the same chapter, so finish that one first to unlock it.[5]
What changed in Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration between versions?
Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration is a pretty young addition to the pack, so there isn't a long history to dig through yet.[1][6]
- All the Mods 10 2.43: the pack changelog lists Refined Storage - Mekanism Integration 1.0.0 as newly added.[6]
- All the Mods 10 4.11: the pack still ships version 1.0.0 (file refinedstorage-mekanism-integration-1.0.0.jar), the same version it was added with.[1][6]
So if you're on 4.11, you have the same version of the mod that first arrived in 2.43.[1][6]
Unverified The mod's own changelogs for the shipped jar aren't available to ForgeBase, so what 1.0.0 contains and whether the pack changed any of its values or recipes is unverified.
