What is IntegratedTerminals?

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

IntegratedTerminals is part of the pack. The pack ships version 1.4.9, built for Minecraft 1.18.2 (file IntegratedTerminals-1.18.2-1.4.9.jar). The pack's mod list shows it was already included in this pack or an earlier version, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

Unverified I don't have a guidebook, platform description or quest data for this mod, so I can't confirm what it does in this pack, who it suits, or where it fits in the progression. The mod also isn't on the ATM Star path and no quests in this pack involve it. Check back once more details are available, and don't assume any recipes, configs or mechanics until then.

How do you get started with IntegratedTerminals?

5 parts

IntegratedTerminals adds terminals for managing and overviewing Integrated Dynamics networks. In this pack the mod comes down to a few craftable items and one glass block, so the order below is short.[2][3]

First, get some Menril Glass

Start with Menril Glass, because both terminal parts below use it. You get it by drying Menril Resin onto Glass, and it works as an illuminating glass block too.[2][3]

Next, craft the storage terminal part

Part Terminal Storage is the main one. It gives you a Storage Terminal for your Integrated Dynamics network, and the mod even has an advancement for crafting it. The recipe pulls in several Integrated Dynamics items, so have those ready first.[2][3]

Then add the crafting job terminal

Once storage works, make Part Terminal Crafting Job. Its screen lists your crafting jobs with a status for each one, and it has buttons to cancel a single job or all jobs.[2][3]

Finally, take it with you

The Portable Storage Terminal is made from the storage terminal part plus a Crystallized Menril Chunk, so craft the storage terminal part first.[2]

Settings worth knowing

The pack's config sets the base energy use of the storage terminal to 2 and the crafting terminal to 1. See general.general.terminalStorageBaseConsumption and general.general.terminalCraftingBaseConsumption.[4]

How does IntegratedTerminals work?

4 parts

Integrated Terminals is an extension to Integrated Dynamics. It gives you terminals to manage and overview your Integrated Dynamics networks. The Storage Terminal lets you interact with the storage networks you have attached, such as Energy Batteries. If another mod adds storage capabilities, like the item and fluid capabilities from Integrated Tunnels, you can interact with those through the terminal too.[3]

The terminal parts

The Storage Terminal comes as Part Terminal Storage. Here is the pack's recipe:[2]

The Crafting Job Terminal is Part Terminal Crafting Job. It only matters if you have an autocrafting mod such as Integrated Crafting installed.[2][3]

Using the Storage Terminal

You can sort what the terminal shows. Items sort by item ID, item name or item amount, and fluids sort by fluid ID, fluid name or fluid amount in mB. Each can run in ascending or descending order.[3]

A crafting filter switches the list between stored ingredients, craftable ingredients, or both. You can also change the grid size between Small, Medium and Large, or scale its width and height. If you like your setup, "Mark as default settings" uses the current settings for new terminals.[3]

The crafting grid has a few helpers. Auto-refill refills the grid after crafting, and its source can be the player, the network, or both in either order. Balance spreads equal items evenly over the slots. Clear puts the grid back into storage, and shift-click sends it to your player inventory instead.[3]

Autocrafting and crafting plans

Autocrafting from the Storage Terminal only applies if an autocrafting mod such as Integrated Crafting is installed. The terminal calculates a crafting plan first, and the plan header tells you what to expect: Valid, Running, Incomplete, Insufficient Crafting Interfaces, or Recursive recipe detected.[3]

Once a job exists, it moves through these statuses:[3]

  • Valid: not started yet.[3]
  • Queueing: waiting for other jobs to finish.[3]
  • Pending Dependencies: waiting for dependencies to finish.[3]
  • Pending Inputs: missing input ingredients.[3]
  • Crafting: the job started and is waiting for outputs.[3]
  • Finished: the job completed and the outputs have been received.[3]
  • Invalid: missing storage ingredients.[3]
  • Recipe Not Allowed: the recipe inputs could not be inserted into the crafting target.[3]
  • Error: an unknown error.[3]

The Crafting Job Terminal shows every running job in the network, and you can cancel them from there. Opening it gives you a list, and clicking a job opens a detailed view. For each job you can see the remaining sub-jobs, status, duration, owner and channel, and hovering a sub-job gives more detail on its status. There are buttons to cancel a single job or all jobs, and you can switch the plan between a tree view and a compact view.[3]

Pack settings that change the behaviour

The pack sets these values in the common config file for the mod. Energy use is set by general.general.terminalStorageBaseConsumption at 2 for the storage terminal and general.general.terminalCraftingBaseConsumption at 1 for the crafting terminal.[4]

For the crafting planner, core.general.craftingPlannerEnableMultithreading is false in this pack. core.general.craftingPlannerThreads is 2, which is the number of threads the plan calculator can use.[4]

The click amounts in the terminal are configurable too. Clicking an item selects 64 and right-clicking removes 1, set by machine.general.guiStorageItemInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageItemIncrementalQuantity. For fluids, the equivalent options machine.general.guiStorageFluidInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageFluidIncrementalQuantity are 100,000 and 1,000. Energy uses the same 100,000 and 1,000 through machine.general.guiStorageEnergyInitialQuantity and machine.general.guiStorageEnergyIncrementalQuantity.[4]

The grid sizes are 9 columns by 5 rows for Small, 10 by 7 for Medium and 11 by 9 for Large. When scaling the grid, it can grow to at most 32 columns and 20 rows. These come from the guiStorageScale options in the same config file, for example general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxColumns and general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxRows.[4]

A few smaller options are worth knowing. general.general.shiftClickCraftingResultLimit is false, so shift-clicking the crafting result is not limited to a single result. general.general.syncItemStorageAndCraftingTabStates is true, which keeps the search box and button states in sync between the item storage and crafting tabs. The crafting jobs screen refreshes every 1,000 milliseconds, set by machine.general.guiTerminalCraftingJobsUpdateFrequency.[4]

Tip: If you hit packet overflows on a big network, the config lets you reduce the terminal storage packet limits. They are 512 instances in core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxInstances and 128 recipes in core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxRecipes.[4]

How do you progress through IntegratedTerminals?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

In this pack, IntegratedTerminals progression is a short crafting chain. You make a special glass, turn it into terminal parts, and then optionally upgrade the storage terminal part into a portable terminal.[5]

The glass

The chain starts with a glass made in a Drying Basin. Menril Glass is the one the terminal part recipes use. Chorus Glass is made the same way, from liquid chorus instead of menril resin.[5]

The terminal parts

Next come the terminal parts. Part Terminal Storage is the storage terminal part, and it is the one the portable terminal is built from later.[5]

The portable terminal

The last link in the chain is the Portable Storage Terminal. It is crafted from the storage terminal part, so make that part first.[5]

Tip: Only the glass needs a Drying Basin. The terminal parts and the portable terminal are shaped crafting recipes, so set up the basin first.[5]

How does IntegratedTerminals work with other mods?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

IntegratedTerminals is an add-on for Integrated Dynamics, and in this pack that link shows up in every recipe it has. The recipes in the pack dump are the ones that mix its items with Integrated Dynamics items, plus vanilla Minecraft and common tag items. The pack's quest book also has one quest for it.[6]

Terminal parts built from Integrated Dynamics items

Both terminal parts are shaped crafting recipes that need Integrated Dynamics parts. They also need Menril Glass, which comes from this mod itself.[6]

Portable Storage Terminal

The Portable Storage Terminal is an upgrade of the storage terminal part. Its recipe combines Part Terminal Storage with a Crystallized Menril Chunk from Integrated Dynamics.[6]

Glass made in the Drying Basin

Menril Glass and Chorus Glass are not crafted in a table. The pack has Drying Basin recipes for both, and they use Integrated Dynamics fluids and items such as Menril Resin and Liquid Chorus. Each glass also has a matching Mechanical Drying Basin recipe, so you can automate it. The Drying Basin belongs to Integrated Dynamics, not to this mod.[6]

Tip: Menril Glass is needed for both terminal parts, so set up your Menril Resin supply and a Drying Basin before you plan on any terminals.[6]

The "Integrated Dynamics" quest chapter includes quest a quest in "?", and its task is to obtain Part Terminal Crafting Job. The quest text says it shows which crafting recipes are happening at any time, and it unlocks after another quest in that chapter.[7]

Which IntegratedTerminals config options matter?

6 parts

Most of the Integrated Terminals config is about how the storage and crafting terminals look and feel. Here are the options you're most likely to touch, with the exact values this pack ships.[4]

Unverified The pack's config file only lists the values it uses, not the mod's defaults. I can't tell you which of these the pack changed from the default, so none of them are described as pack changes.

Crafting planner and performance

Packet limits

If you hit packet overflows on a big network, these two are the ones to reduce. core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxInstances is set to 512 and core.general.terminalStoragePacketMaxRecipes is set to 128. They cap how many storage instances and crafting recipes go into a single packet.[4]

Click quantities in the storage terminal

Terminal GUI size

The storage terminal scales with your screen. The small layout is 9 columns by 5 rows (general.general.guiStorageScaleSmallColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleSmallRows). Medium is 10 by 7 (general.general.guiStorageScaleMediumColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleMediumRows), and large is 11 by 9 (general.general.guiStorageScaleLargeColumns, general.general.guiStorageScaleLargeRows). When scaling, it tops out at 32 columns (general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxColumns) and 20 rows (general.general.guiStorageScaleMaxRows).[4]

The height-based scale uses 9 columns (general.general.guiStorageScaleHeightColumns) and the width-based scale uses 5 rows (general.general.guiStorageScaleWidthRows). general.general.guiStorageForceCraftingGridCenter is false, so the crafting grid is responsive to screen size rather than always centered.[4]

Crafting terminal behavior and energy

Analytics and version checking

Both core.general.analytics and core.general.versionChecker are false in this pack. That means no anonymous startup analytics request may be sent, and the version checker is off.[4]
