What is Crafting on a Stick?
1 part
Crafting on a Stick lets you craft without placing a crafting table on the ground. You hold a workbench on a stick and open it straight from your hand, so you don't have to set down a table every time you need one.[1]
It isn't just the crafting table. The mod adds a whole set of workbenches on a stick:[1]
- Crafting Table, available as Crafting Table[1]
- Anvil[1]
- Loom[1]
- Grindstone[1]
- Cartography Table[1]
- Stonecutter[1]
- Smithing Table[1]
It's a handy convenience mod for anyone who's out exploring, mining or building and doesn't want to stop and place a workbench every time they need one.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
This pack includes Crafting on a Stick version 1.21.0.2. It shows up in the first chapter of the main questline, where quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Crafting Table. That quest unlocks after you finish an earlier quest in the same chapter.[2][3]
Unverified The sources don't include the in-pack recipe ids for the workbenches on a stick. Check the recipe viewer in game to see how each one is crafted in this pack. This site does hold All the Mods 10's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Crafting on a Stick?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick is all about convenience: it lets you craft without placing a crafting table on the ground. Instead, you carry your workbench around on a stick and use it straight from your hand to open its screen.[1]
Step one: the Crafting Table on a Stick
Your first item from this mod should be the Crafting Table. It's the one you'll use most, since it gives you a crafting grid anywhere you are. It's also a goal in the pack's main questline: quest a quest in "?" asks you to get one, so making it early ticks that off too.[1][3]

Next: the other workbenches
Once you have your pocket crafting table, you can put other workstations on a stick as you need them. These use the mod's standard recipes in this pack. There's no fixed order, so make whichever station you find yourself walking back to the most.[1][4]
- Stonecutter opens a stonecutter anywhere, which is handy while building.[1][4]
- Anvil opens an anvil wherever you are. There are also Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil versions, each with its own recipe.[1][4]
- Smithing Table opens a portable smithing table.[1][4]
- Grindstone opens a portable grindstone.[1][4]
- Loom opens a portable loom.[1][4]
- Cartography Table opens a portable cartography table.[1][4]

Freeing up your hands
The mod is compatible with Curios. You can put your favourite workbench on a stick in its designated Curios slot and press a keybind to open it, so you don't need to hold it. The mod lists V as the default key.[1]
Unverified The sources don't confirm whether this pack's setup includes the Curios slot for these items, or whether the pack keeps V as the default keybind. Check your Curios inventory and your controls settings in-game.
How does Crafting on a Stick work?
3 parts
The whole idea behind Crafting on a Stick is simple: you get to use a crafting station without placing it on the ground. Each workbench on a stick is an item, and you use it straight from your hand to open that workbench's interface wherever you are.[1]
The workbenches you can carry
Every station below is its own item. Hold the one you need and use it to open that workbench.[1][4]
- Crafting Table opens a crafting table.[1][4]
- Anvil opens an anvil.[1][4]
- Loom opens a loom.[1][4]
- Grindstone opens a grindstone.[1][4]
- Cartography Table opens a cartography table.[1][4]
- Stonecutter opens a stonecutter.[1][4]
- Smithing Table opens a smithing table.[1][4]
In this pack there are also separate items for the other anvil states: Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil. Each one has its own recipe, so you can make an anvil on a stick from whichever anvil you have on hand.[4]
Unverified The sources don't say whether using an anvil on a stick wears it down from normal to chipped to damaged, the way a placed anvil can break down. They also don't say if the chipped and damaged versions behave any differently from the normal one.
Using them from a Curios slot
The mod works with Curios. Put your favourite workbench on a stick in its dedicated Curios slot, then press the keybind to open it without holding it. The default key is V, so check your controls if that clashes with another mod.[1]
Unverified The sources don't say how many Curios slots the mod adds, or whether more than one workbench on a stick can be equipped at once.
Crafting the sticks
All of these items are made with normal shaped crafting recipes. The recipes below show exactly how each one is made in this pack.[4]

How do you progress through Crafting on a Stick?
3 parts
Crafting on a Stick doesn't really have tiers you climb through. Every item has its own single shaped recipe in this pack, and none of those recipes needs another stick item. So you can grab whichever workstation you want, in any order.[4]
Start here: the Crafting Table on a Stick
The main questline introduces the mod early. In the first part of the main questline, quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Crafting Table. It unlocks after an earlier quest in that same chapter, so just keep working through the opening quests and it will show up.[3]
Heads up: the pack changed this recipe, so it doesn't match the mod's default. If you've watched an older video or played the mod somewhere else, check the recipe below instead of going from memory.[4]

The rest of the workstations
Every other item uses the mod's own recipe, unchanged by the pack. Craft whichever ones match the stations you use most.[4]

Anvils: three separate versions
The anvil comes in three separate items: Anvil, Chipped Anvil and Damaged Anvil. Each one has its own recipe, so look at all three below to see which one you can make with what you have.[4]

Unverified It's not confirmed whether any other quests in this pack ask for the stick workstations besides the crafting table, or how the three anvil versions behave differently in use.
How does Crafting on a Stick work with other mods?
2 parts
The clearest link between this mod and the rest of the pack is the quest book. The main questline's first chapter has a quest, a quest in "?", whose only task is to get a Crafting Table. So the pack treats a portable crafting table as an early step in your progression, not just a side convenience.[3]
This quest isn't open from the start. It unlocks after you finish an earlier quest in the same chapter, so you'll reach it as you work through the opening part of the main questline.[3]
Why it's worth grabbing early
The crafting table on a stick lets you open a crafting grid straight from your hand, without placing a crafting table on the ground. That's why it's so handy early on, when you're exploring, mining, or building away from your base.[1]
The crafting table isn't the only one. The mod also puts an anvil, a loom, a grindstone, a cartography table, a stonecutter and a smithing table on a stick, and you use each of them the same way, straight from your hand.[1]
Curios slot support
Unverified The mod's project page says it works with Curios: you put a workbench on a stick in its Curios slot and press a keybind (V by default) to open it. It's not confirmed that this works in this pack, or that the keybind is still V here, so check your controls and your inventory in game.
Unverified No recipes were found in this pack that combine this mod's items with items from other mods, so the quest above is the only confirmed connection to the rest of the pack.
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Crafting on a Stick?
This mod shows up in exactly one quest in this pack, and you'll find it in the main questline chapter, mainquestline_part_1. The quest is a quest in "?", and it doesn't have a title of its own.[3]
The task is simple: get your hands on an Crafting Table. It's an item task, so as soon as the item is in your inventory, you've done what the quest asks.[3]

About the order: this quest only unlocks after you finish an earlier quest in the same chapter. So if you can't see it yet, keep working through the main questline and it'll open up.[3]
Unverified The quest's rewards and the name of the quest that unlocks it aren't in the available sources, so they're not covered here.
