What is Apotheosis?
2 parts
Apotheosis is the big RPG-style loot and progression mod in the pack, and this pack ships version 8.7.0. It lets you strengthen any item you find, from vanilla or from other mods, while staying close to vanilla mechanics. It's built for players who want that feeling of getting stronger without the mod taking over the game.[1][2]
Under the hood it's split into modules: Apothic Attributes (new attributes and potion effects), Apothic Spawners (picking up and modifying mob spawners), Apothic Enchanting (a full overhaul of enchanting) and the Adventure module, which adds Affixes, Gems and World Tiers.[1]
The core loop
Affix Items are gear with bonuses. Their Rarity decides which affixes they get and how strong those are, running from Common up to Mythic. You find them in loot chests and as drops from mobs. Some also have sockets, where you can place Apothic Gems for extra bonuses.[1][3][4][5]
World Tiers are the progression system. There are five, from Haven through Frontier, Ascent and Summit to Pinnacle. Higher tiers give you better loot but also make every enemy in your world stronger. The default hotkey for the tier screen is CTRL+T.[1]
Where it fits in this pack
The pack's Apotheosis Gear quest chapter starts with a Gem dropped by mobs, which you get through "Apotheosis Adventure" quest. Next you smash gems with an anvil to get Gem Dust, then craft a Salvaging Table to break affix items down into rarity materials.[6]
After that you can build a Simple Reforging Table, which reforges items up to Rare. Upgrading it to a Reforging Table is what lets you reforge Epic and higher.[6][7]
The end-game station is the Augmenting Table. It upgrades or rerolls individual affixes on an item. You craft it by focusing a Nether Star through two Godforged Pearl items, using an Enchanting Table as the base.[8]
The pack also has a separate quest chapter for Apothic Spawners, which covers the spawner features of the mod.[9][10]
How do you get started with Apotheosis?
4 parts
Everything gear-related in Apotheosis starts with a single Gem. The pack's quest chapter ("Apotheosis Adventure" quest is the first quest) walks you from that first gem to the crafting tables, and the order below follows it. Each step unlocks the next.[6]
Step one: find a gem and turn it into Gem Dust
Gems are rare drops from any mob, and Invaders are confirmed to drop them. They can also turn up in chest loot, so farm some mobs and check chests as you explore.[6][11]
Next, smash gems with a falling anvil to get Gem Dust. The quest recommends using only Common and Uncommon gems for this. Your first two dust have to come from an anvil crushing two gems. After that you can switch to the Salvaging Table.[1][6][12]
Step two: craft the Salvaging Table
Your Gem Dust is an ingredient in the Salvaging Table, which breaks affix items down into Rarity Materials. It also gives you Gem Dust from gems, so you don't need the anvil any more.[6][12][13][14]

The material you get depends on the rarity of the item you break down. Common gives Mysterious Scrap Metal, Uncommon gives Timeworn Fabric, Rare gives Luminous Crystal Shard, Epic gives Arcane Sands and Mythic gives Godforged Pearl.[6][13]
Step three: craft the Simple Reforging Table
The Simple Reforging Table works a bit like an Enchanting Table, but for affixes. You put the item in the center slot and a Rarity Material in the left slot, and you get three choices. The second and third cost more. The material decides the rarity of the affixes you receive. This table only reaches up to Rare.[6][7]

Reforging also uses a fuel, the Sigil of Rebirth. Its recipe needs Gem-Fused Slate, so craft the slate first.[6][7][14]

Step four: Gem Cutting Table and sockets
Once you have gems you want to improve, craft the Gem Cutting Table. Upgrading a gem takes a second gem of the same purity plus Gem Dust and Rarity Materials, and the exact cost shows up in JEI.[6][15]

How does Apotheosis work?
6 parts
The stations in Apotheosis work through slots, menu choices and costs paid in experience, sigils and materials. Here is how each one works, in the order you will probably meet them.[7][8][16]
Unverified No config files for this mod were available to the sources here, so the pack's exact reforging costs and other tunable values are not shown. The reforging guide says modpacks can change them, so check the costs displayed in-game.
Salvaging Table
The Salvaging Table breaks Affix Items down into Rarity Materials. What you get depends on the item's rarity: Common gives Mysterious Scrap Metal, Uncommon gives Timeworn Fabric, Rare gives Luminous Crystal Shard, Epic gives Arcane Sands, and Mythic gives Godforged Pearl.[13][14][16]
The same table also crushes Apothic Gems into Gem Dust. The table itself needs Gem Dust to craft, so your first dust comes from dropping a gem in the world and letting an anvil fall on it. After that, use the Salvaging Table.[12][14][16]

Reforging
Reforging gives an item brand new affixes. It works on any valid item, not only ones that already have affixes, and you can reforge the same item multiple times. Start with a Simple Reforging Table, which handles items up to Rare. For Epic and above, upgrade it into a Reforging Table.[7]
- Center slot: the item you want to reforge.[7]
- Top-left slot: Rarity Materials for the rarity you want to reforge with.[7]
- Bottom-right slot: Sigil of Rebirth, the fuel item for reforging.[7][14]
Like an Enchanting Table, reforging offers three choices, and none is inherently stronger than the others. Each rarity has a base cost in experience, sigils and materials. The extra choice slots charge double and triple that base cost. Modpacks can change these costs or block reforging at certain rarities, so check the costs shown in-game rather than assuming the mod's defaults.[7]

Augmenting Table
The Augmenting Table is an end-game station for working on individual affixes without touching the rest of the item. The upper slot takes the affix item. The guide suggests augmenting items of at least Mythic rarity, and says Epic ones are worth considering too. The lower slot takes Sigil of Enhancement, and you pick the affix from a drop-down menu.[8]
- Upgrading costs two Sigils of Enhancement and raises the affix's internal strength by 25%. How much that helps varies per affix.[8]
- Rerolling costs one Sigil of Enhancement and swaps the selected affix for another of the same type. The alternative options are shown on the left.[8]

Gem Cutting Table and Gem Case
The Gem Cutting Table upgrades Gems. An upgrade usually costs Gem Dust, Rarity Materials and a second Gem of the same purity. Stronger gems need more dust and higher-tier materials, and a Perfect Gem can't be upgraded any further. You can see the exact cost of any upgrade in JEI.[11][15]

The Gem Case is gem storage that can also do the cutting. It holds up to thirty two thousand gems of each type and purity, and can be upgraded to hold more. It has a name filter and an item filter, which finds gems that fit a specific item. Its six auxiliary slots hold upgrade materials, so with enough materials and gems you can upgrade gems right in the case. The guide says this effectively obsoletes the Gem Cutting Table.[17]
There is also a Supreme Gem Case with a storage capacity of two billion. You can't craft it directly. It has to be made with Infusion Enchanting.[17]

Sockets and sigils
You socket a gem in a Smithing Table, with the item on the left and the gem on the right. Each gem states which items it fits, and some gems are Unique, so only one copy can sit in a given item. To take gems back out, combine the socketed item with a Sigil of Withdrawal in a Smithing Table. The item and all its gems are returned.[11][16]
If an item has no socket, Sigil of Socketing adds one. Sigil of Unnaming strips the affixed name from an item, and it is also used in a Smithing Table.[14][16]

Spawner runes
The Spawner Module lets you move and modify Mob Spawners. The modifications come from runes, and this pack changes the crafting recipe of every rune listed below. Use the recipe viewer for the in-pack recipes instead of relying on the mod's defaults.[9][14]
- Rune of Control: the spawner only operates while powered by redstone.[14][16]
- Rune of Solitude: the spawner can operate without a player nearby.[14][16]
- Rune of Perpetual Twilight: ignores light level requirements.[14][16]
- Rune of Defiance: ignores all spawn rules.[14][16]
- Rune of Echoes: spawned mobs drop additional copies of their loot.[14][16]
- Rune of Immolation: spawned mobs are wreathed in flame.[14][16]
- Rune of Stupor: spawned mobs are stripped of their AI.[14][16]
- Rune of Debilitation: reduces the starting health of spawned mobs.[14][16]
The upgrade runes improve a spawner in steps. Frontiersman's Spawner Upgrade Rune slightly improves it, Wayfarer's Spawner Upgrade Rune improves it, and Thundering Spawner Upgrade Rune brings it to its maximum potential. The pack changed the recipes of all of these runes.[14][16]

How do you progress through Apotheosis?
9 parts
Apotheosis progression is built around World Tiers. There are five tiers: Haven, Frontier, Ascent, Summit and Pinnacle. Each one raises the world difficulty and the rewards beyond the last.[18]
World Tiers
Tiers don't switch on by themselves. You unlock a tier by completing advancements, then open the World Tier Select screen (CTRL+T by default), click the tier's symbol and press Activate. You can switch between tiers whenever you like, and in multiplayer each player can sit on a different tier.[19][20]
These are the default unlock requirements from the in-game guide:[20]
- Haven: enabled by default, but you won't see it until you've picked up your first Affix Item.[20]
- Frontier: equip an Affix Item in each armor slot and hold an Affixed Weapon in either hand.[20]
- Ascent: equip a full set of Uncommon Affix Items, including a weapon, and slay an Apothic Invader.[20]
- Summit: acquire a full set of Rare Affix Items and slay the Wither.[20]
- Pinnacle: obtain a full set of Epic items and slay the Ender Dragon.[20]
The guide stresses that these are defaults and that modpacks may change them, so check the Apothic World Tiers advancements tab for the complete information.[20]
Which rarities show up in which tier
Tiers also control rarity weights, so higher rarities (and Invaders) get more common as you climb.[18]
The quest text for each rarity gives this overview:[6]
- Common: the quest says it shows up most in Haven and stops appearing after Summit.[6]
- Uncommon: the quest says it starts appearing in Haven, is most abundant in Frontier and stops in Pinnacle.[6]
- Rare: the quest says it appears in all tiers and is most common in Ascent.[6]
- Epic: the quest says it appears after Frontier and is most common in Pinnacle.[6]
- Mythic: the quest says it is found only in Summit and Pinnacle, and is most common in Pinnacle.[6]
The gear path
The Apotheosis Gear quest chapter lays out a route through the crafting stations. This is the order its quests chain in:[6]
- "Apotheosis Adventure" quest: get an Gem. Gems are rare drops from any mob and confirmed drops from Invaders. For now, the quest just tells you to farm mobs for them.[6]
- "Gem Dust" quest: the quest says to smash a gem with a falling anvil to get Gem Dust, and recommends using only Common and Uncommon gems for this.[6]
- "Salvaging Table" quest: craft the Salvaging Table with your Gem Dust. The quest says it lets you recycle affixed tools and armor into rarity materials, and that it gives you Gem Dust without anvils.[6]
- "Simple Reforging Table" quest: the Simple Reforging Table works like an Enchanting Table for affixes. You get 3 choices, and it can only give up to Rare affixes.[6]
- "(Better) Reforging Table" quest: the quest says the Reforging Table does everything the simple one does and adds Epic and Mythic affixes. The quest chain puts it after the Arcane Sands quest.[6]
- "Augmenting Table" quest: the quest says the Augmenting Table is for perfecting individual affixes, and that it needs Sigils of Enhancement as fuel.[6]

Rarity materials
The quest text says salvaging an item gives you a material that matches its rarity: Mysterious Scrap Metal from Common, Timeworn Fabric from Uncommon, Luminous Crystal Shard from Rare, Arcane Sands from Epic and Godforged Pearl from Mythic. Each has its own quest in the chapter.[6]
The Godforged Pearl is the one to aim for, because the in-game guide says building the Augmenting Table takes two of them.[8]
Sigils
Sigils start with the Gem-Fused Slate and change your affixed items in a Smithing Table, Reforging Table or Augmenting Table. The ones you can craft are:[6]
- Sigil of Socketing: the quest says to combine it with your item in a Smithing Table to get up to 2 sockets.[6]
- Sigil of Withdrawal: the quest says it separates a gem from an affixed tool so you keep both.[6]
- Sigil of Unnaming: the quest says it trims an awkwardly long item name.[6]
- Sigil of Rebirth: the quest calls it the fuel for all the Reforging Tables.[6]
- Sigil of Enhancement: the quest calls it the fuel for the Augmenting Table.[6]
Sigil of Malice and Sigil of Supremacy can't be crafted. According to the quest book, Supremacy comes from beating 100 waves of the Endless Gateway of Apothic Invaders.[6]
Using the Augmenting Table
The in-game guide calls the Augmenting Table an end-game crafting station. Its recipe is built around a Nether Star focused through two Godforged Pearls, with an Enchanting Table as the base. An upgrade costs two Sigils of Enhancement and raises that affix's internal strength by 25%. A reroll costs one Sigil and swaps the affix for another of the same type.[8]
Enchanting Table levels
Your Enchanting Table has its own ladder, and the later Apotheosis quests lean on it:[21][22][23][24]
- Level 30: the usual way, with fifteen bookshelves.[21]
- Level 45: add Hellshelves, or Seashelves if you'd rather avoid the Nether.[22]
- Level 60: explore Infusion Enchanting to upgrade your shelves.[22]
- Level 70: a Level 60 table plus Deepslate, which gives you a Deepshelf once infused.[23]
- Level 75: upgrade your Deepshelves with materials from the Deep Dark.[23]
- Level 80: slay the Warden, which lets you craft Sculkshelves.[23]
- Level 90: a Level 80 table plus Dragon's Breath, to make Infused Dragon's Breath for Endshelves.[24]
- Level 100: a Dragon Head from the outer End lets you make a Draconic Endshelf, which is the only shelf that can reach this level.[24]
Spawner Upgrade Runes
If you go down the spawner route, the Spawner Upgrade Runes form four tiers. Each one sets several spawner stats to fixed values instead of nudging them. All four recipes below are changed by the pack.[10][14]
- Frontiersman's Spawner Upgrade Rune: Minimum Spawn Delay 150, Maximum Spawn Delay 600, Spawn Count 7, Max Entities 12, Activation Range 24.[10]
- Wayfarer's Spawner Upgrade Rune: delays 100 to 400, Spawn Count 10, Max Entities 18, Activation Range 32.[10]
- Mountaineer's Spawner Upgrade Rune: delays 50 to 200, Spawn Count 13, Max Entities 24, Activation Range 40. The quest says you'll need to fight a Warden for it.[10]
- Thundering Spawner Upgrade Rune: both delays at 20, Spawn Count 16, Max Entities 32, Activation Range 48.[10]

The more advanced modifications need an Infused Spawner Rune. Infusing it takes at least 70 Eterna, 30% Quanta and 50% Arcana in an Enchanting Table. The infusion recipe is changed by the pack.[10][14]

How does Apotheosis work with other mods?
2 parts
Apotheosis connects with Create: Enchantment Industry and the Apothic Enchanting items, and both link back to Apotheosis materials. The Gate Pearl from Gateways also has Apotheosis recipes. Every recipe below is flagged as changed by the pack, so don't expect the stock versions.[14]
Create: Enchantment Industry
When you salvage affix items you get rarity materials. The quest book says Common items give Mysterious Scrap Metal, Uncommon gives Timeworn Fabric, Rare gives Luminous Crystal Shard, Epic gives Arcane Sands and Mythic gives Godforged Pearl. In this pack, Create mixing recipes turn each of these into Apotheotic Essence.[6][14]

Which All the Mods 10 quests use Apotheosis?
4 parts
Apotheosis shows up in three quest chapters in this pack: Apotheosis Gear, Apothic Spawners and Apothic Enchanting. Gear is the one to start with. It teaches you gems, salvaging, reforging and sigils, and the other two chapters build on it.[6][10][25]
Apotheosis Gear
The chapter opens with "Apotheosis Adventure" quest, which asks for a single Gem. The quest says gems are rare drops from any mob and confirmed drops from Invaders, so you farm mobs until one drops. Next comes "Gem Dust" quest, where you get Gem Dust by smashing a gem with a falling anvil.[6]
- After Gem Dust, three quests open up. "Getting better Gems" quest asks for the Gem Cutting Table, which raises a gem's rarity. "Simple Reforging Table" quest asks for the Simple Reforging Table, which only gives affixes up to Rare. "Vials and Sigils" quest asks for a Gem-Fused Slate.[6]
- "Salvaging Table" quest asks for the Salvaging Table. It needs Gem Dust done, plus a quest called "Applying Gems (and others)". The table recycles affixed tools and armor into materials and gem dust.[6]
- Salvaging unlocks one quest per rarity material: "Mysterious Scrap Metals" quest (Common, Mysterious Scrap Metal), "Timeworn Fabric" quest (Uncommon, Timeworn Fabric), "Luminous Crystal Shard" quest (Rare, Luminous Crystal Shard), "Arcane Sands" quest (Epic, Arcane Sands) and "Godforged Pearl" quest (Mythic, Godforged Pearl).[6]
- "(Better) Reforging Table" quest asks for the Reforging Table. It comes after Arcane Sands and the Simple Reforging Table, and it adds Epic and Mythic affixes on top of what the simple one gives.[6]
The sigil quests all follow Vials and Sigils. They cover Sigil of Enhancement ("Sigil of Enhancement" quest), Sigil of Socketing ("Sigil of Socketing" quest), Sigil of Rebirth ("Sigil of Rebirth" quest), Sigil of Unnaming ("Sigil of Unnaming" quest) and Sigil of Withdrawal ("Sigil of Withdrawal" quest). There is also an untitled quest for Sigil of Malice (a quest in "Apotheosis Gear"). Its text calls it a mysterious sigil and says rumors point to Invaders dropping it.[6]
The Augmenting Table quest, "Augmenting Table" quest, needs both Sigil of Enhancement and Godforged Pearl done first. The last quest is the untitled a quest in "Apotheosis Gear" for Sigil of Supremacy. It follows the Endless Gateway of Apothic Invaders pearl quest, and the text says you get the sigil by beating 100 waves of that gateway.[6]
Apothic Spawners
This chapter starts with "Blowing up Spawners" quest, which asks for Spawner Chain and TNT. Blowing up a spawner leaves chains behind, and the quest text puts it at 48-57 chains, noting that was true at the time of writing. The next quest, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", asks for the Spawner Rune, the base material for modifying spawners.[10]
Once you have the base rune, the basic modification quests open. These are "Quiet down you'll wake up the mobs!" quest (Rune of Silence), "Redstone Active" quest (Rune of Control), "Ignore Light" quest (Rune of Perpetual Twilight), "Spawn Range" quest (Rune of Spawning Range), "Burning" quest (Rune of Immolation), "Youthful" quest (Rune of Youth) and "Health" quest (Rune of Debilitation). The first two upgrade-rune quests also sit here.[10]
The advanced branch starts at a quest in "Apothic Spawners", which asks for the Infused Spawner Rune. Everything after it depends on that quest: "Echoing" quest (Rune of Echoes), "Ignore Players" quest (Rune of Solitude), "Ignore All Conditions" quest (Rune of Defiance) and "No AI" quest (Rune of Stupor). The last two upgrade-rune quests are in this branch as well.[10]
Spawner Upgrade Rune tiers
The four upgrade runes set several spawner stats at once instead of nudging one. The quest texts list them as Minimum Spawn Delay, Maximum Spawn Delay, Spawn Count, Max Entities and Activation Range, in that order.[10]
- Tier 1, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", Frontiersman's Spawner Upgrade Rune: 150, 600, 7, 12 and 24.[10]
- Tier 2, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", Wayfarer's Spawner Upgrade Rune: 100, 400, 10, 18 and 32.[10]
- Tier 3, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", Mountaineer's Spawner Upgrade Rune: 50, 200, 13, 24 and 40. The quest warns you will need to fight a Warden for it.[10]
- Tier 4, a quest in "Apothic Spawners", Thundering Spawner Upgrade Rune: both delays at 20, then 16, 32 and 48.[10]
Apothic Enchanting
Only a few quests in this chapter involve Apotheosis items. "Gem Case" quest asks for the Gem Case, which stores up to 32,768 of each unique gem and purity. "Infusing Spawner Runes" quest asks for the Infused Spawner Rune again. It follows two earlier chapter quests, "Other Infusion Items" and "To reach the Summit", and needs at least 70 Eterna, 30% Quanta and 50% Arcana.[25]
"Gem Case of House Fabergé" quest asks for the Gem Case of House Fabergé. It comes after the Gem Case quest and "Ahh, Pinnacle, at last", and holds 2.1 billion of each unique gem. Finally, "God-Fused Pearl" quest asks for the God-Fused Pearl. It follows the Draconic Endshelf quest and calls for 100 Eterna, 9.65-11.00% Quanta and 58.75-60.0% Arcana.[25]

Unverified The pack changelogs only record the version numbers, and no changelogs for the shipped jars are stored. What each update changed (new features, balance tweaks, fixes) is unverified here. If an update changed something you rely on, check the mod's own release notes before assuming anything.
