What is Super Factory Manager?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Super Factory Manager is a mod for moving stuff around in Minecraft, and it does that with a programming language. You write a script that describes what should move and where, and the mod runs it for you. Version 4 of the mod replaced the old flowchart-style GUIs with this scripting language.[1]
This pack includes Super Factory Manager 4.19.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it is a long-standing part of the modpack.[2]
Who it is for
It suits you if you want to automate item movement between inventories and are happy to write or paste a short script instead of wiring up pipes. The project page describes it as a scripting approach, so some trial and error is part of the fun.[1]
What you need to get started
- A Factory Manager, which is the block that runs your program.[1]
- A Program Disk, which goes inside the Manager's GUI and holds your script.[1]
- A Label Gun, which you use to tag the blocks your script refers to.[1]
- Optionally, Inventory Cables to connect the Manager to your inventories.[1]
The basic flow is to place the manager, connect your inventories, put the disk in, and paste in your script. Then you load the labels from the script with the label gun, apply them to your blocks, and save them to the disk.[1]
Where it fits in progression
Unverified The sources I was given do not show any quests, ATM Star path steps or in-jar guidebook entries for this mod, so I can't say where it sits in the pack's progression. Treat it as an optional automation tool that you bring in whenever you want it.
How do you get started with Super Factory Manager?
2 parts
Super Factory Manager is a programming language for moving stuff around in Minecraft. You write a script, store it on a disk, and a manager block runs it. So your first crafts are the manager, the disk that holds your program, and the tool that tells the manager which blocks are which.[1]
What to craft, in order
Start with Inventory Cable. They connect your manager to your inventories, and one craft makes 16 of them.[1][3]

Then the Factory Manager Program Disk. You put it in the manager's GUI to hold your program. This pack changes this recipe from the mod's own, so go by the recipe below.[1][3]

Last of the essentials is the Label Gun. You use it to load the labels from your program and apply them to blocks in the world.[1]

The Network Tool is also craftable, and the pack changes its recipe too. The basic setup below doesn't call for it.[1][3]

Your first setup
- Place the Factory Manager and connect it to your inventories with Inventory Cables.[1]
- Put the Program Disk inside the manager's GUI.[1]
- Paste your script into the manager GUI with the buttons or with Ctrl+V. The manager tells you when the script has loaded.[1]
- Hover over the disk to see any warnings and errors in your program.[1]
- Shift-right-click the manager with the Label Gun in your hand to load the labels from your program.[1]
- Hold shift and use the scroll wheel to change the active label, then right-click blocks in the world to apply or remove it.[1]
- Right-click the manager without holding shift to save the labels to the Program Disk. Your program should then be running.[1]
How does Super Factory Manager work?
6 parts
Super Factory Manager is a programming language for moving stuff around in Minecraft. You don't build flowcharts: you write a script, load it on a disk, and a manager block runs it against the inventories you connect with cables.[1]
Getting a program running
You need a Factory Manager, a Factory Manager Program Disk and a Label Gun. Inventory Cable is optional but is how you link the manager to your inventories.[1]
- Place the manager in the world and connect it to your inventories with cables.[1]
- Put the program disk inside the manager's GUI.[1]
- Paste your script into the manager GUI with the buttons or with Ctrl+V. The manager should tell you the script was loaded.[1]
- Hover over the disk to see the warnings and errors for your program.[1]
- Shift-right-click the manager with the label gun in your hand to load the labels from your program.[1]
- Hold shift and use the scroll wheel to change the active label, then right-click blocks in the world to apply or remove it. A right-click menu also lets you enter a custom label that isn't in your program yet.[1]
- Right-click the manager while NOT holding shift to save the labels to the disk. Your program should now be running.[1]
The manager screen
The manager shows its current state: running, invalid program, no program or missing disk. It also shows a hovered tick time and a peak tick time in milliseconds.[4]
The screen has buttons to copy to and paste from the clipboard, view examples (Ctrl+Shift+E), view logs, view the server config and rebuild the cable network. Reset wipes ALL disk data, meaning the program and its labels, so think twice before confirming it. Pasting over a disk also asks for confirmation.[4]
If the manager's view of your cables ever looks wrong, the rebuild button rebuilds the cable network at that manager. If the rebuild fails, all cable networks are purged instead.[4]

The program disk recipe is changed by the pack, so don't rely on the mod's default. The Network Tool recipe is changed too.[3]

Cables and their variants
One craft of the basic Inventory Cable gives you 16 cables. Fancy Inventory Cable is made from a plain cable, and a shapeless recipe turns it back. All cable types have facade versions, and the game asks you to confirm before it overwrites or clears facades.[3][4]

- Tough Inventory Cable resists explosions and can be facaded as tougher blocks. A Tough Fancy Inventory Cable exists too, and tough cables can be turned back into regular ones.[3][4]
- Tunnelled Inventory Cable passes capabilities through to the opposite side. A Tunnelled Fancy Inventory Cable version exists as well.[3][4]
- Tunnelled Factory Manager also passes capabilities through to the opposite side. It is crafted from a regular manager, and a shapeless recipe turns it back.[3][4]

Labels and the label gun
Labels are how your script refers to specific blocks. The label gun can pull labels from a manager or push them to it, and it tells you in chat which it did. Blocks that aren't touching cables are skipped. Its screen has a search or new-label field, plus Cycle label view, Clear and Prune buttons.[1][4]
Other blocks
The Printing Press has to be placed with an air gap below a downward facing piston, and you extend the piston to use it. The mod also adds a Falling Anvil recipe category in JEI, which marks whether the anvil is consumed.[4]

The Water Tank requires two adjacent water sources, and it is more effective when it is also adjacent to other active water tanks.[4]

Checking what you connect to
The mod has a container inspector overlay that shows container slot and inventory slot counts, and a key toggles it. It warns that GUI slots don't always correspond to automation slots. It also warns that Mekanism blocks are read-only from the null direction.[4]
Unverified The manager screen has a button to view the server config, but the sources here do not show any of the mod's settings or values in this pack. Check that screen in game.
How do you progress through Super Factory Manager?
5 parts
Super Factory Manager progression in this pack is a short ladder of crafting steps: basic cables and the manager first, then programs and tools, then the cable and manager upgrades. Every recipe below is the in-pack version.[3]
Cables and the manager
Everything starts with Inventory Cable. One craft gives you 16 of them.[3]
